BIG STORE WITH HUGE VARIETY! Great prices and weekly sales. Close to bus route on barton and accessible to wheelchairs. The dollarama is also on the same plaza and make shopping for temporary needs a breeze! Polite and friendly service, I reccomend this store if your ever in the neighborhood.

The owner seems to want to have no washrooms available to paying customers even though there are more washrooms in the back. Go to Metro further down or Walmart for food shopping....they all have decent washrooms for their customers....vote with your feet-I did. Even the Fresco further down Barton has a clean washroom and STAFF WITH A SMILE.

I'm very very very impressed with the women and gentlemen who work here. WOW. I had been having a rough day and was literally accident prone.i dropped a pasta glass jar when I went to push my cart and it fell to the floor and cut my toes. The woman who was helping me with lasagna pasta sauce before hand came straight back and helped me so much she was wiping my foot and noticed I was cut ,she than had me go to the front where I met with another misses and she cleaned my toe and bandaged it. As I was getting fixed.lol. the other employees were cleaning the mess and at the same time was watching my cart and purse. Once all was good I went to the cashier and the other misses was amazing to where for the first time in my life at FreshCo ,she helped by bagging my stuff. The smallest act of kindness goes a long way. And I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your help with my clumsy day I was having. Thank you all again and again for everything. Helped my day go by much easier... P.S I appreciate the fact you all work as a team and family. Means alot to a customer

Overall it's a good store with a good selection. The bunker in the meat aisle usually has some good deals for $5/7/10.00. They also tend to have a lot of dollar sales which is nice. The parking lot was also redone last summer if I'm not mistaken.

I have been a regular customer for the past year and have always had a good experience. Store is clean and organized. They have a pretty substantial selection of a variety of items and pricing is usually really good. They have reusable bags that you buy & can get replaced (for free!) if they tear or break down. Ample parking and on a bus route for convenience.

Way too many homeless waiting outfront blocking the entrance some in shorts in the winter for effect, please no lottering. Fruittogo, butchers counter, bakery. *Edit - I'm changing my review, last couple of months they have not been keeping up on stocking their shelves. Also, last couple of weeks were unable to get a working shopping cart out of the stack of carts in front. We have two young kids, I'm not screwing around the front of the store trying to get a working shopping cart. We have started to take our business else where.*

There is no other store like it they sell you produce that's gone bad. Fresh meat selection is nonexistent , unless you get there when they open and wait for staff to bring out newer fresh meat. Can't asked questions to the floor staff they just shrug and walk away from you. Larger bulk size items always cost more here . Compared to other no name stores this is the worst one

If you go here early it is not too busy. Prices are good. Always have everything that you want. Selection/Freshness are good. The staff have always been fantastic even when they are having a busy day. Distractions For Pain

I really like how they spaced every out. I use 2 different mobility devices a power chair and an oversized 3 wheel mobility scooter and it doesn't matter which one I'm on i can get around the store nice and easy. Thanks for thinking of the disabled.

I can only hope I hit here on a bad day because the photos reflect pretty much the entire experience that night: huge gaps in shelves being stocked ( 10 years on, Sobeys STILL suffering from that SAP supply chain debacle? It seems so) Meats were decimated. Bakery had empty shelves: general grocery seemed... understocked. I certainly couldn't rely on Freshco as a one stop shop given the number of basic goods missing or significantly depleted.

Dont go on a saturday. Some old guy with his dog sells smokes out of his car and holds up the entire parking lot doing it. Had to wait over 20 minutes to park cause he was having a conversation with a woman out her window about god knows what. Store is ok but dont try parkimg on a Saturday. Also if there is an event at the stadium they sell parking so when the event ends youll never get out. If youre walking or cabbing it youll be fine but drivers beware.

It's the cheaper alternative, but you won't find everything you need there. I rated it 5 because it's exactly what you'd expect: cheap, appropriately helpful service, a little personality from being in a rougher neighbourhood but self-aware in what it does (and doesn't) have. Unlike the monotonous drudgery of an indoor Metro or the superficial shine of a Fortino's, there's a quiet pride here.

The cashiers are pleasant but I had one bad experience with a very older cashier once, she was very rude and and condescending but I do not see her there anymore, but that is why I give only a 4 star rating. The Store is always clean and organised. Some things are cheaper here than other stores, but some are more expensive the produce dept is really good..and the Bakery, I would say those are the best parts of the store. But the rest are really good too.

Was yelled at by an employee for going "the wrong way down an aisle" the employee was NOT wearing PPE as ordered by bylaw and the aisle was blocked by a kneeling man when i had gone to go down the aisle. Its pretty unprofessional to be berated by an employee who is not only neglecting PPE standards but also social distancing. The conversation two employees had about hiding the hand sanitizer was rather pathetic, juvenile and unprofessional also.

HI there. They always punched in a # for the big bottle's of water. Today the new girl went over to the water and scanned it with asking if that bottle was ok with me. I ask way she deed that and she said they always use the scanner for those bottles. If they wanted the costumes to get the bottle for scanning then they should have moved them to where the water is keep. This is the 4th bad experience I have had there in the 13 years of going there. ????

The store is open at convenient times for me and I've only ever had one problem with this store and that was the fact that I did not like the fruit that was out, I felt as though it was on edge. I have since never had a problem with this FreshCo and I strongly believe that this is a very great atmosphere for not only employees but also for customers I will definitely be returning to this FreshCo in the near future and the later future.

It can be hard to get a parking spot if there's a football game & difficult to get out. Don't go during football season. Fresh produce but nut the selection of baked goods other stores have.

Clean store, great staff, needs a better meat department as well as a wider variety of baby formula, longer hours would be great however when I have to go to Walmart because you still do not stock certain items your longer hours would not effect me anyway.

Store is not properly maintained , some of there managers are absolutely awful ... Teresa I have noticed acts like it's a burden to do her job if it has to do with price check or simply helping out her fellow employee's . The store location and size i get why in general it doesnt have much selection I.E only containing certain flavors of a certain brand and excetera also I don't know who puts out the hamburger meat or somtimes steaks but im pretty sure meat shouldint be sold brown so you mite wana get on that before you hurt someone They should learn customer service from there produce and cashiers !

If you have nothing nearby or just grabbing something in a hurry, it's.. something. It is the lowest one of the bunch. Selection is pretty poor, often out of stock, not even stuff on sale, just literally dont get their regular items sometimes. Sales staff is friendly, but just so clueless about items and location sometimes. Not rare stuff either. Like it took 3 of them to figure out where the parmesan cheese was... Use them in a pinch, dont make it your regular grocery place.

I was shopping at FreshCo Barton & Gage today Dec the 2nd at around 9:00 pm and I noticed a lady shopping without a mask. I asked the cashier how is did they let that person in the store without a mask and she replied rudely: it's not of our business. If they let people in without masks then who knows what happened at the back of the store.... Not shopping there anymore

I can almost always find what I need. Once in a while they run out of all bagged lettuce (spinach, arugula, kale etc) which is strange but they are clean and well stocked. Fresh produce is well priced.

My goto Freshco for sure!! Always friendly cashiers. Produce is decent, could use a bit of a better layout and I wish I could even suggest how but I cant even imagine how I would change it. Great store. I don't go there very often. Only my when other stores don't have what I need to price match. They price match but with a small limit.. not sure if I'll go back there to price match several of the same items. Staff is very friendly and chatty!!
