Reviews of Fortinos - Head Office (Fruit Store)

This is about their Fortinos supermarket in Waterdown. They put their project in front of the health and safety of the residents in the community. Condor is the contractor of Fortinos extension project. They had their tar kettle outside of our house, the harmful fumes make us rather sick. What is unbearable is they leave the kettle on after 5pm and on weekends when the kids are home, we cannot even air out the fumes in time and our kids have to eat dinner while smelling the fumes. We emailed the contact from Condor requesting them to shut off the kettle by 4 pm so we can air out the house before the kids are home but received no responses and they continued to leave kettle on after 5 pm. An update on this, they’re drastically behind the schedule and worked on Sundays once again with out any communication, we couldn’t stay in the house and had to take kids outside throughout the days. They put the kettle on on Christmas Eve! Where are we supposed to go during the holidays?!

It's incredibly disappointing/sad to see such a wonderful store discriminate against individuals with mask exemptions. All the higher brand grocery stores (Superstore, Walmart, Metro) do not discriminate against their customers who are exempt and then there's Fortinos, tarnishing their brand by putting a policy in place that infringes on human rights and ignores the provincial by-laws. I'm glad I went out of my way to file a human rights claim with the HRTO against this business. I am standing up for my rights and for the others who are exempt but don't have the courage/tools to do so. I would hope Fortinos would take the time to review their policy and change it to be in line with the bylaws in place and the federal law of our beautiful country. For now, my money is better spent elsewhere.

I am so disappointed I used to love buying the premade salads from Fortinos but now that they have change I go to Metro it's a little out of the way but well worth it seeing that I can pick my own salad dressing rather then having to settle for what they decide to package in with the salads.

kind of sad. Bought the Lobster Bisque about 6 weeks ago and it was UTTERLY amazing - huge chunks of lobster - very creamy - just delicious. I told EVERYONE about it. Bought it again 2 weeks later and it was not nearly as good. VERY little lobster and somewhat watery. Bought it again last week and even worse. SO SO SO SO disappointing. Expensive and not worth the price. The first time yes but not once after

Shame on you Fortinos mountainash. You do nothing for your employees during the holiday season. Irs a stressful time for hour employees dealing with stressed customers. I seen a customer being so rude to an employee. He claimed he know ghe manager. The store owner came to speak to his employees and almost broght her to tears in front of others. How dear you

Fortinos thinks their 'policy' supersedes CANADIAN LAW.I was a customer for nearly 20 years. NEVER SUPPORTING THEM AGAIN after they kicked me out of the store for having a Hamilton Health Medical Mask Exemption . ZERO STARS.
