Barton Lettuce opened up a couple months ago and they're really GOOD. The fruit and veggies are fresher and cheaper than food basics down the road and the people are really very nice. I've massively increased my fruit intake since then. :)

Produce looked great. We got a couple of things and it was a nice experience in a small produce store. I wish there was more variety though. We wanted watermelon and other veggies we couldn't find.

I was about to make a chilli, and realized I didn’t have any onions or peppers! Barton lettuce saved me a trip (and time) to a grocery store. I thought I’d have to pay slightly more for my produce, however they had better prices than the big chain grocery stores! Will definitely be getting my produce here from now on! Photo of the chilli… well, because why not? ????

I'm so glad this place exists. Local access to fresh vegetables and other perishables saves me a trip to the big box grocery. I can stock up on non-perishables once a month and get the rest here, within walking distance of my home!

I was excited to hear this was opening in the Barton Village. It is a much needed walking spot for many living in and around Barton. I appreciate the normal prices for produce, and it just being regular produce, no organic or magic produce, just plain old normal products. You should shop here first if you can. I do think they would be well served by improving their selection, and including a few non-perishable, non-produce items. Things like coffee, and bagged tea that don't go bad, to keep overhead lower, and waste to a minimum. Some items like re-usable produce bags would be great too since again, they never go bad, and with new interest in going green and reducing waste, constantly using plastic produce bags is best avoided. We still use them for some produce, because it keeps longer, but still having them for other items would be beneficial. I am excited to see what this store has in it's future, and I'm sure it will expand its offerings. I respect and appreciate that the business is trying to fill a need in what is a walking and cycling food desert, and avoiding selling what other long standing businesses already do. I think including offerings from other local businesses do, like so many others already do would be a great way to grow with other local businesses. I look forward to shopping here in future.

I just recently started shopping here and everyone who works here is so lovely! The produce is fresh and always different, which I like. The selection on local product is very nice. So happy to have this in the neighbourhood

I absolutley love the store! Super clean! Friendly atmosphere and wonderful produce! My husband walked up tonight on a mission to save our dinner because the potatoes I had gotten from food basics were rotten! Much to his surprise he found bigger, economically better priced potatoes locally sourced. Absolutley perfect! Now with dinner saved by these BEAUTIFUL potatoes! Lol! I am so beyond happy that Barton Lettuce is in the neighbourhood because it truly is needed in this area! 5/5 will be by again!

Finally, fresh local produce less than a block away. No need to plan a day trip just to get some high quality and organic veggies for tonight's dinner. They carry a decent and ever expanding selection of products from local growers. My only complaint is that by the time the weekend comes by some items are a bit tired and tattered. That being said, they are starting from scratch, purchasing state of the art refrigeration systems is probably a huge investment and the only way they will make it is with our support. I see the store and selection growing week by week and have no doubt that with enough loyal customers they will shine in every way.

Just visited Barton Lettuce for the first time with my daughter!!!! So happy to have them here!!! Store was immaculately clean and the service was excellent. Prices and Quality are both amazing!!!! Will be a regular stop!!!!

Its not great. The produce is lacking and the selection is just not there. Edited for the owner: the price of wilted romaine lettuce is up to a dollar more than stores along with the herbs like parsley and cilantro. I believe at the time of visiting you did not have fresh carrots. I don't understand why you're operating like this when there are two operational markets within a five minute drive of the location including the one at Jackson Square. I was pretty excited to see fresh produce a bit closer but the grocery stores are better and I don't want to pay my hard earned money just to support a local business that isn't really supporting me. If you don't find a way to match the markets, I'm not sure how you'll continue to operate.

I've been going to Barton Lettuce since the day they opened and enjoy the level of service I receive in a small local store. We get our fruit and veggies, coffee, fresh eggs, cheese and most recently a customized gift box with jams and honey. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. See you again soon!
