As of day the firm has a rating of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this rating is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is quite high, and it's based on a high number of opinions, so we can say that the rating is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Grocery store.
Just a great place to buy your groceries.
Failed to ensure customers are following social distancing and one way aisles. Has different policies than other grocery stores and pharmacies with no signage and no verbal information. Cashier was incredibly upset when I didn't identify that I needed the bags packed up up-front, when other chains do not allow reusable bags and expect customers to keep distance from the register. Having to pack the groceries alongside the cashier because they didn't ask up front if I wanted a bag removes the purpose of having a divider between the customer and the employees. If you are one who would like to ensure you are maximizing social distancing and safe purchasing, go to superstore or other locations.
Lind,Polite and Respectful to Others.
2 cashiers open at 7pm, smh. This is an everyday problem here.
Could you guys update the opening hours please? You’re not 24/7 anymore, it’s quite confusing. I stopped by around 3am and was hopping to get some groceries but it was closed. The store is great anyway, so 5 stars well deserved
Huge lineups every time I'm here, not enough staff at the registers.
Great place friendly staff. Very helpful toward people with disabilities. And food is great
I think maybe someone should take more care in the produce department. I've never seen such a messed up display in my life.
Excellent selection of fresh fruit. Seafood and meat is top notch, and regular specials can be found.
Great staff, good selection. Bread prices need to be lower. The staple of the mass' shouldn't cost 3$ a loaf
I really dislike this store. Every time I go, there is poor customer service, the company culture is disturbing and the food is more expensive than it needs to be . Not even great options compared to other stores. I would give Sobeys zero stars if I could, especially this location! I really am not hard to please but this location doesn't even try!
Paid for 3 crispy chicken breasts. Ended up with only two and a thigh. Was about a quarter of the way into the thigh when I realized I couldn't be bothered going back in.
Sobey's is within walking distance and adjacent to my pharmacy. I find that I can get what I want and/or need at a price that fits my budget. The checkout staff have treated me with respect, are very friendly and helpful. The specialty beer and wine shop has knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced product for my gift giving.
A diverse selection of products and easy shopping experience.
I think the only downside to Sobey's is the fact that they dont carry more flavors of certain ice cream brands. They are the only place I like to get my steaks and roasts from.
I shop at this Sobeys almost exclusively. Fantastic staff and great prices on a huge selection of groceries. This location also has a Smoke Shop and the reputable Rockhead liquor store!
I was told they sold exotic meats at this location and found myself a whole thing of rabbit to take home! Wish they had a wider selection of exotic meats but I'm a huge fan of rabbit so Im still very pleased!
Very clean and organized. The lady at self check out was so helpful
Great staff excellent at what they do very kind and considerate, quality products and very clean environment.
Wasn't busy when I went and I do like the fact that it is open later than other Sobeys in the area. Also liked the fact that there are self check outs at this location. That being said, the store lacked selection/was out of stock of most items in some departments such as the bakery, dairy, and refrigerated and frozen goods. This isn't a bad location, but I generally prefer to visit other Sobeys in the city if I'm able to.
Lots of parking, nice wide aisles, good vegan and plant based selection and produce and friendly checkout staff.
Store is organized nicely and clean, only issue is the terrible cashiers. Me and my boyfriend go all the time as this is the closest sobeys to our place and not once have we had a pleasent experience at checkout. Many are rude and non welcoming.
Great place also wine shop is with in sobeys
Sobeys always seems a lot cleaner than the competition, the cashiers are also much kinder.
Not much fresh produce but you get everything else in very reasonably priced.
The staff are friendly and helpful. This location has pretty much everything you'd want in a grocery store.
I love sobeys, very clean and friendly staff. I just wish they had a better selection of fruit and vegetables.
Sweet ride at this grocery store man
Not bad prices if you stick with "our compliments" Sobeys own brand and good varieties of foods.
A far better store than the Sobeys on Queen's Street where I ordinarily shop. The company seems to have given up on the South End location and are allowing it to slip into oblivion, catering only to a transient student population and some seniors on pensions. They seem to have ceded the broader population in the area to Superstore. The Sobeys at North and Windsor is far better maintained , much cleaner, and has a much wider range of products. The quality of the produce and the cuts of meat and seafood come from a different planet. Does Sobeys have A and C level stores.
The best shopping mall ever the the workers are kind and respectful for customers
For the past 3 weeks of this pandemic I’ve been shopping at Windsor/North Sobeys. They’ve been amazing. I’m the sole shopper for me and my husband and two seniors that all have immune surpassed systems. It terrifies me weekly to go out. Being my third week there.. they’re amazing... today I went in and had to wait 10 mins to go in at 9am ... I didn’t mind... that meant less people in! Went in and felt very safe and staff are VERY accommodating. Got to cashier and he could tell I was very nervous (didn’t want to be there) he made it very safe and friendly :) Thank you for all the help and work ;)
No issues. One of my preferred places to shop.
I love this Sobeys, I stop in several times a week either for groceries or just small things I need. Very friendly staff, produce is always A+, and self checkout works great. I will touch on what another review said and say that your loss prevention guy is REALLY obvious. I literally see him at all times of the day going around with a cart and watching people, so it's obvious he's not a shopper. Sobeys needs to hire one or two more loss prevention officers so that this guy (who I'm sure does a great job) isn't such an obvious and regular face to recurring customers.
A good spot to get things other places may not carry including pharmacy items. Nice, clean store but often more expensive than other places.
Greatest sweet treats in the north end. UPDATE: The sweet treats were not to be beat. Full delcious. Fresh, delicate, hints of unripened peanut (green), in a good way, and vanilla flower. Experience level... TOP NOTCH!
Terrible self checkouts, I personally feel. Otherwise good as always, produce was fresh and good price on bison striploin
Not my favorite shopping mall, but they are doing great in-terms of goods and Services. Well stocked up for the customers. Fresh fruits, organic products ,confectioner's,toiletries, proteins etc
Really nice selection and loved all the local Goods
Best bag of lychees I bought all summer so far has been from here.
Please expand your hours again! We need a 24/7 grocery store back! There are many people who do shift work that depended on the 24/7 stores to get groceries on the way home, and there’s definitely enough demand from students/shift workers/night owls in a city as large as halifax to have at least 24/7 store.
Feels like home, layout allows all shops, restaurants and services to be seen from any vantage point in Hemlock Square. Great people, great quality, great coffee ????
Last week, I had a baby. I don't have facebook so I figured I'd announce it on here. It's a girl, and looks just like me. She's 7lbs and 4oz. This superstore gave me a discount on grapes once that were rotten. I bought them and got sick. That's how I found out I was pregnant, so thanks.
Great place for groceries
A nice and organized store. Not many selections in the produce department with low quality. EVERYTHING is more expensive than other grocery stores.
Long wait at the checkout and self-serve checkouts. Clean but had wet floors signs everywhere saying "wrong way" on the aisles.
Best location for groceries with huge parking available. The food stuff is fresh all the time. The front staff and Cashiers are fabulous. I was there once on a busy afternoon, I purchased grocery worth $700 and there was this young tiny lady, may be a student working part-time. She was so professional humble and helped me arrange my cart in great manner. The only mistake I did was forgot to ask her name. May be next time. Keep the excellent work and salute to front line cashiers.
Excellent place for grocery's and pharmacy. The variety of food is immense and you get to choose from different options available. Sobeys Pharmacy & Liquor store both are located in single campus. Parking is huge with no problems at any time of the week or weekend.
Staff is friendly, but almost assuredly criminally underpaid. Selection is decent and late hours make them incredibly convenient for munchies and last minute groceries.
Staff couldn't be more helpful....great store....wish they kept the baking display...it was so handy and made shopping easier....Sobeys does its best.
Beautiful store and well organized. Many good sales, but still quite expensive overall. I'd shop here if I want high quality, am just curious for a good sale, or am desperate.
A bit pricey, since you are paying for the 24 hour convenience, but otherwise TOP NOTCH. Splendidly friendly and helpful staff, in my experience, and they have a great variety of products. Recommended!!!
Went around lunchtime and it was busy (which is fine), but there was only one express lane open, and people were being less than express in them. Returned to work with no time to eat the beautiful salad I picked up.
They are overpriced usually by $1 to $3 in comparison to Walmart or No Frills but they also dominate the city where I live (Halifax). They stay open later which makes them convenient when everything else has closed (this especially now with Covid hours). So... 3 stars. If you don't mind paying extra for an item you can get cheaper elsewhere, it's a decent grocery store.
FOOD... Mmm
Sobeys in Bedford is better
Great location
Great store staff super helpful. Main thing quality is great on meats and veggies.
Been my local grocery store for over four years and I consider it to be one of the best stores in the city. Not too big, not too small. Staff are generally well mannered and courteous. Product variety and access is very good.
Always a good time to go there for weekly shopping.
I found the cashiers super slow and they need to streamline the self checkouts somehow. It should be faster to checkout. If it wasn't so close I'd just go to Walmart it's way faster to get out. It made me nervous because no one socially distanced at Sobeys when I was there.
Can't say I love supporting a place that doesn't pay they employees well enough to live. They're also way overpriced.
Typical Sobeys. Nothing special.
Really like that Sobeys very friendly!!
Halloween candy already? Bit early if you ask me. Think of all the pressure us fat people are already under, lol.
A great place to get basic groceries and they do have extras like veggie burgers etc. But if you wants clothes or household items go elsewhere. A nice clean store and small enough to get all food item quickly.
Store is very well managed; staff are pretty easy going.
Will never enter this store again...matter is going to Human Rights Commission..was treated like a thief and spoken to as if I was garbage. by ignorant cashier and when male manager couldn't intimidate me into submission he refuse to serve me.. Had to stay two hours to get my medical supplies Clearly Sobeys will hire anyone matter escalated to head office by me on site...disgraceful discrimination against women disabled parties and those on medical plans
It's a Sobey's
Good service.
Very friendly service.
It's a busy location but it usually has most everything you are looking for.
Just went today March 24th and was super surprised to see lots of sales and discounts, twice as many as usual. People would pay full price in these times but sobeys is actually discounting more stuff, and pay rises!! so for that 5 stars good job management. A glimmer of light in these dark times.
The cashier was lazy and rude. Most will help pack a large grocery orders, but this man " Michael" did and would not. He made comments the entire time about how long it was taking me to pack my groceries to co-workers and to other costumers... I have never been more uncomfortable and more upset when leaving a store for groceries ????????
Lots of parking. Clean and bright with a good deli section. Also has a pharmacy. Was busy there on a Sunday afternoon but I think all the checkouts were open. I spend through the Express lane.
Not too busy this morning. Really appreciate that they've put all their baking supplies together. Amazing selection of cheese.
Nice store and staff but seeing a pattern in Sobeys stores unlike Superstore and Walmart's. Head office obvious is more concerned about getting people in to shop as they are powerless to ensure patrons that refuse to wear masks put and keep them on. Sobeys in Clayton park, Spryfield and Digby all have the same problem. So if you don't want to wear masks as mandated by the province in Sobeys I guess you don't have to with no consequences......
Not my usual Sobeys, good variety and it moved quickly this morning h
so nice!! the customer service is so good here
Great everything I needed I found.
Great store with a lot of selection. They carry a large inventory of vegan items...cheeses, veg burgers, etc.
Has almost every item. Price is a bit on higher side compared to other stores.
Just went there to get earth from the garden center
It seems the sobeys products keep getting worse. The pizza was really good now it worse than frozen pizza. Tried the bring home garlic fingers and deluxe both gross. The compliments brand prepackaged salads have gone down hill. The Mac and cheese taste like chemicals. I don't enjoy the chicken at the deli as much anymore was my go to. Now I just get the chicken tenders. Why change something that was good. I've been a long time customer of sobeys and have used your products for lunch at work now I just eat a sandwich from home.
Better experience than most Sobeys. Helpful staff and the product is somehow cheaper? They have the standard buy 2 to get the deals that most have that is not great. Though one can find better bargains here than most in the chain.
Nice customize cake available
Good experience throughout store except in meat dept. The lean ground beef was mixed with extra lean & regular so there was alot of handling required to sort thru them. Also since it was on sale it was a busy spot so impossible to keep a safe distance from others.
Nice store with pleasant aesthetic, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a reasonable selection of cannabis and alcohol. Plus the grocery store is next door! What more could you want?!
Great selection and lots of local food. Close to a lot of students and they have even installed a cyclist repair spot just in case you bike here and maybe need to pump up tires or adjust something. Good on you Sobeys this is the difference between a 4 star or 5
I like that this is still a smaller grocery store. I can run in and get what I need without going through a maze of long aisles set up the wrong direction and they just have food and booze not toys, clothes etc. Food is always fresh and still lots of to go options.
