Nice selection; they give preference to local, but produce from elsewhere in Canada and abroad is available, so you can get everything you need. They have local honey and maple syrup, and free range eggs, cheese, some meats and deli meats (including some halal), and in house prepped pies and other foods. The staff I dealt with were all very nice too.

We dont know what we'd do without Dave's and appreciate its ease, convenience and selection every time! Definitely make Dave's a weekly grocery stop for fresh produce. Amazing local apples for prices that cannot be beaten anywhere! The reason for 4 stars is because they use excessive amounts of plastic and the shopping experience is not very zero-waste friendly. They should start offering cardboard boxes to put produce in to make the experience more environmentally friendly like many local shops do all over the country! Definitely check Dave's out and enjoy.

During the Covid 19 restrictions and with their limited space it can be a little nerve racking with people "browsing" for fruits and vegetables but I get more upset with those people than the staff. There's no need to browse at Dave's. You go with a list and you'll save money on super market prices. Guaranteed

It's my go to place. They have really good local produce and for such a small place a lot of variety. They just added a kombucha station too, so you can save a few bucks if you don't have time to make it at home. Best produce? Salad greens, spinach bags for under 2 bucks if you like things very fresh.. also look for those little extras to add something different to your diet.. quail eggs, fresh soups come to mind..

Such a great place for well priced produce. I make the trek out here every two weeks and pick up a 10lb bag of apples of under $8. Other good deals are bananas (59c/lb) I often buy their clearance bananas ($1/bag) and freeze them for smoothies. The weekend lineups can get pretty insane, so I recommend coming before 11am to save yourself some time in the waiting line. Staff are friendly and helpful!

Excellent place for fresh fruits and vegetables. Homestyle baked goods can be haphazard as the food is delivered fresh, and they don't do all baked foods every time. But if you want samosas or homestyle soups, I can't think of a better place. Lasagna, wrapped sausage with cheese, macaroni and beef casserole. And for those without diabetes, bakesale treats are right beside the whole roast chicken.

Great store but the location is terrible, extremely difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. Over the years many accidents of people leaving parking lot. Cars on Main just drive way to fast, if they followed the speed limit it would be ok.

Their frozen chicken boneless skinless burgers r very good. i have bought boxes of frozen blueberries that didn't turn to mush. I have been going there for years. bens bakery is in the same parking lot....convenient.

Good place to buy fresh vegetables, parking is... unique. Typically one can park over by the bread store. Yes, I don't remember it but the prices are reasonable. The selection is incredible, fresh Valley strawberries in the summer. Hands down come have a look and get your veggie on. Oh frozen pies... very noice.

Love it here. Some of the cheapest produce in the city and good staff. Store is clean and we'll laid out, never seems to be overcrowded. The only issue is the parking lot during peak traffic hours as it can be hard to get out onto the road. And it is next to the Ben's outlet which is get convenient.

Need some fruits and veggies? Head on over to Dave's! It's literally in the name!! Best prices around town. You probably get twice the food for half the price of any grocery store. They don't have much for meat selection, its mostly frozen and precooked stuff... but if you're vegan, who cares?!?! Disclaimer- I'm not vegan and love cooking dead animals. But I also like fruits and veggies and this is definitely my go to.

Large variety of fruits vegetables Breads and Dairy available at excellent prices. The savings are significant enough to bring haligonians over to the "dark side" to do their shopping.
