This time, I saw prices that were more competitive with other outlets. That was nice. Went for a prepackaged salad for an event. Ended up getting $60 of other stuff too. I like the staff that help send you to the right till, while helping to keep everyone safe. Food quality seemed 10/10.

Staff are super friendly and the butcher is fantastic! I bought some striploin steaks here last week and they were some of the best I've ever cooked at home. I picked up some more today and the butcher also cut some beautiful pork chops for me. Longo's has definitely become one of my go-to stores for meat!

I went to Longo's on a Thursday night last week for the first time in a long time to pick up some treats to give to some family members and colleagues. I remember it being the first supermarket in Guelph to mandate mask wearing. I loved my experience there and found the staff to be friendly, the selections of Christmas gifts to be plentiful. I was served by Brigitte on my way out and she was so pleasant. I found my experience to be safe, healthy and enjoyable and I highly recommend this supermarket. Thank you Longo's staff! This store is mind blowing. You only have to see for yourself. The food looks amazing TRIPLE AAA. It is a little pricy but when you think about it, it's not you can actually go in there and get a really decent size roast, your paying 70 bucks... But it's not like going into zerhs or metro and paying 70 dollars for a roast the size of your fist. It will not be a core store for me but will defiantly serve it's purpose. Like I said you gotta check it out yourself because it is a nice store.

This is a welcome addition to the area offering almost everything the other supermarkets so and then some. I think there is a small difference in the pricing with Longos being a bit more expensive but: 1. There is a Starbucks on site if you want to have a coffee. 2. There are electric charge stations for We'd in the parking lot 3. The pizza is great. You can order it and then do your shopping. We do this frequently. 4. They sell beer 5. They have a pretty good selection of breads In all this is my favourite of the three supermarkets in the area

Have to get used to the layout. Nice setup at the front and seating area. Prices are comparable to Zehrs. Parking lot is shared with other stores. Will go back occasionally because it is on the opposite side so Zehrs and Foobies is easier to get to.

Fantastic experience shopping at Longo's. It's a first class grocery store with reasonable prices. Store features a great layout with bright LED lighting. Checkout was fast despite the crowds. Longo's has a large bakery featuring many freshly made items. They are premium quality goods, and the price reflects that. They're in-house brand is also nice. When looking for specialty foods,, this is a good place to go. For regular grocery shopping there are cheaper and better places to go. One criticism, though, is the parking lot. It's small, overcrowded, and inconvenient to get in and out. Even worse, there will be other stores opening and sharing the same parking spaces. Be prepared on busy days, as parking overflows onto the neighboring residential roads.

I visited Longo's for the first time as I have heard nothing but positive things about this grocery store. I was surprised by the wide variety of pre-prepared food that was available, including gourmet pizza slices which I purchased. The friendly staff member even heated up my food for me and I took it to-go. Unfortunately, this fun novelty was not enough to overcome the poor quality, outdated goods I found on the shelves. While shopping for a few basic items I encountered multiple packages of cookies that were extremely mouldy and several bread items that had begun to grow mould. After having this rather disappointing experience I decided to do my shopping elsewhere. In my opinion this is blatantly unacceptable. The spoiled items I encountered were in plain sight, at the front of shelves, where staff members performing routine tidying should have seen and removed these items. Overall this is an establishment with a lot of potential but my personal experience was ruined fairly quickly. I will update my review when I locate the photos I took of these mouldy items during my visit to the store.

It's a l o n g way to go if you live in the north end but you to be organized. You have to love the selection of ready made foods to go. Makes it very easy to purchase. Ribs are discounted on Saturday night? Say whaaat? Not crazy about the location but staff and food selection is spot on!

I absolutely love the selection of prepared foods, especially the salad bar. There is also a vast selection of meat, seafood and cheeses. Prices are a little higher than some stores but the loyalty program helps that. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained as well....just in case. There is also a Starbucks in the store if you need a drink while you shop.

The prepped food section is a fantastic option for those nights where you have no time to cook - and don't want Pizza. A decent amount of variety and selection in almost all sections. The interior could be better designed to give a more premium feel as grey feels rather drab but that is a very minor gripe. The deli counter is good and the pizza is rather delicious. Staff could be a tad friendlier and courteous but on the whole, it's a good shopping experience.

What a great addition to Guelph. Longo's is what I'd call an upscale grocery store where the quality of the products is definitely worth the extra bit you are paying. A high end grocery store that’s incredibly well kept, they have a mini cafeteria area that serves delicious hot foods. Their upper balcony is great seating to have lunch with a friend. They provide a microwave up there and free utensils. The groceries and food I’ve purchased have all been great. There’s an electric car charger placed outside the store, which is an awesome extra bonus.

My new favorite grocery store in Guelph! They had a great selection of everything, things looked fresh and readymade foods were tasty and well priced. I also really appreciated the great variety of herbs, plants and foods from different cultures. And for a great surprise l found a bunch of keto and low carb food items, like konjac and different bean pastas, among other items, that I have yet to find in other grocery stores in Guelph.

Not a pleasant experience. We bought a Mocha cake from bakery, but the taste was awful. That was not Mocha. It was pure Nescafe with low quality cream. We called and asked the possibility of returning due to our unsatisfaction. We were told they cannot take it back just because of our unhappiness! There should be a more serious reason. So, we realized the satisfaction is not a priority at Longo's! No more shopping here.

It's difficult to get the quality and selection you get at Longos for the prices they offer. Their main competitor in the area is Zehrs but Zehrs is less focused readymade foods than Longos. Was never one for salads until I bought a pear and sweet kale salad there coming home from work. It's unique, had well balanced flavours and was delicious. Coupled that with a brio and I look forward to going there after work. Picked up an imitation crab salad sandwich another time. Don't knock it till you try it. It was great too. As well as the hot salmon dinner plate a few days after. Not what you normally see elsewhere at an equal or lower price than other premium stores like Metro. Maybe was too good to be true because I heard they were bought out by Sobeys just recently. If they still offer the same quality, selection and price, I'll still be frequenting.

Nice grocery store, clean and bright. Staff was all helpful and friendly. Lots of pre made meal choices like pizza, sandwiches, sushi, pasta... There is a full salad and hot food bar too. Space to eat in or you can take out. They have an excellent spice section too! Negatives are the prices, you're paying slightly more for everything because of the nice atmosphere and amenities. Example ground turkey on special is $5.99 for a pack, whereas Costco they're $5/pack normally priced. Also parking is minimal considering the number of stores in the shopping area. Fine on a weekday, but a weekend? Ouch.

So far Longo's seems to be the best grocery store in Guelph. They have good produce, and they seem to care about locally sourced food. Their meat and seafood is about as sustainable as I've seen for a mainstream grocery store. It's a bit spendy overall, but comparable to Zehr's or Metro. Decent selection of ethnic foods.

These guys totally have the COVID safety down pat. They screen you before you go in (temp checks and mask recommendations), and everyone inside gets what they want and checks out. A good place if you care about safety and are willing to participate in best practices. Plan for what you want to get, dont linger too long, and this place will get you in and out in record time.

I'm done with this store. Been shopping here for a year, the lines are ridiculous even if you shop outside of the busiest hours, and today I noticed on the POS machine, there is a survey asking about your wait in line lol. It's been a huge problem for a LONG time. To add, the cashiers are VERY slow. VERY. Expect the entire check process with waiting and bagging to take at least 10-15 minutes. The straw that broke the camels back was the SECOND time i've been OVERcharged on a reduced/clearance item. Longos, please implement a policy like zehrs, so it's free up to $10 if it's YOUR fault. Stop scamming, and code your products PROPERLY. It's the least you can do, when you charge more than other stores.

I, like most, am grateful for the care grocery stores have followed, with good health due diligence. This store however, borders on personal infringement with the taking of one's temperature and insisting the wearing of a mask. I would have no issues if this was the mandate of our health system or WHO.. This however is a good example of nonsensical policy. Eg, fevers can be caused by various issues, the measurement device has a margin for error, and the dawning of a mask means one unnecessarily touches ones face. Thank goodness for the other stores!

I was just denied entry into the store due to a disability. It's not a good look for Longos, at a time when corporations are going out of their way to show their inclusivity. I will consider filing a complaint with the Social Justice Tribunal of Ontario. Fortunately, Zhers seemed happy to have me. Longos, I think it's time you joined the 21st century.

Longo's is the best grocery store in the city of Guelph. The store layout and the products are great, but what has impressed me the most is the staff. i have been shopping here since the week the store opened. The staff here are always amazing! Recently, this facility served on the buffet a horrifying choice of the day.... rabbit with cucumbers. What is next? Cats with carrots? Dogs with beans? Longos we ask that you stop selling domestic PETS in your salad bar. Did you know rabbits are protected under the Humane Slaughter Act? Did you know they are strung for slaughter fully conscious? That they have their throats slit while screaming in agony? Did you know hundreds of "meat rabbits" are sent to slaughter for human consumtion full of abscesses, tumors and parasites? Selection of the produce is excellent and appears to be consistently fresh. In house coffee selection is great and so far there isn't one that I've tried that is disappointing. Organic section can improve with more choices. Overall store caries all the items that major stores have but one thing I've noticed that all stores lack is organic egg section. There are only two major manufacturers and it would be great to see more local selections.

Picked up some food from the hot food bar tonight and was extremely disappointed. First off I took enough food for my self( average eater 160lb), a bit of coleslaw and a vitamin water. Cost me $32. Then I start to eat it and the rice was either half raw or sitting there all day( stopped eating as I thought I was going to break a tooth) the chicken was waaay over done and the potatoes did not taste very good. This was by far the worst tasting most expensive meal I've eaten in my 29 years of life.

It was a very average experience. They have some nicer food options at other locations accompanied with a premium price. When you're paying $12-15 for a pizza as an example, you need to ask yourself if it's not worth just going to a nice local retueraunt. Within the grocery industry it's difficult to stand out and Longos has some premium options at premium prices. Worth it for some, others will shop for better quality products on special occasions, but not as an everyday grocery store. Service was no better or worse than any other store in the city.

This grocery store is a huge disappointment. It’s unfortunately the one closest to my house but I am now going to go out of my way to go anywhere else. They do have some cool products but also miss some necessities. I have also noticed several times that the best before or expiry is either that day or has already SIGNIFICANTLY passed. Usually these items have a 50% off tag but I’m thinking Longo’s hopes you buy it and don’t notice. This isn’t a rare occurrence either. They’re produce is usually very limited, out of stock, or also gone bad. It’s frustrating because they try so hard to have ‘unique’ products but, in doing this they seem to lack focusing on the products they already do have. I recently bought this protein powder (a week ago) and noticed today that the best before date was for this past November. The staff can be quite friendly however, the cashier named Olivia ... you can avoid her all together. She needs a serious attitude adjustment.

Longo's is known as a boutique grocery store. You may not find your particular brand as they carry some very high end products but they do have a great hot buffet and plenty of meal kits that can be helpful to students - of wealthy parents. Of all the choices of grocery stores in Guelph, this will be by far the most expensive.

One of my favourite grocery stores. Yes, priced at a premium, but you get what you pay for, and they always have great deals on produce and meat. I love knowing that whatever produce I pick will not be bruised or rotten, and the meat is of too quality. So many places cater to the university of guelph which is fine and i don't have a problem with that but what about conestoga college students, well longo's has a discount for both u of g and conestoga which I have never seen in a store before and I find that amazing. Longo's Guelph is a great location if you live in the South end. Staff is helpful and easily found, when assistance is sought. The store is easily navigable, quite spacious and bright. Each section boasts a variety of options and price points with produce and frozen foods being especially abundant. There is also a Starbucks on site to make shopping more enjoyable. The one thing I wish were improved is the shopping cart situation. There are always shopping carts haphazardly discarded at the exit and on busy nights almost none at the entrance. Every time we go to Longo's it feels as though the shopping cart depots weren't taken into account when the store was being designed.

Very disappointing I decided to buy their FRESHLY baked mini croissants. Well it was anything but fresh, it was hard and dry "baked today best b4 February 5th" if my son had not said they were dry I would not known until breakfast tomorrow. This is the 2nd time this has happened, among other things I purchased a while back. If I go to a higher end grocery store I expect to get fresh for the price I am paying.
