DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THEIR STORE!!! Even if you are their customer they will TICKET YOU!!!! $25! Even if their food is good they are RUDE and do not care their OWN customers. They pick on other businesses too! Such Queen Shwarma and will FINE THEM! The lady at Queen Shwarma will even have to have her SON stand outside just to make them not ticket their customers!! This is how you ruin your own business and other businesses!!! Not only that but this all happened within 11 minutes, that's why they didn't even write the ticket properly.

Terrible food here! I got food poisoning from this place, and can confirm because it was the only place I ate at at that day. I was sick for over 4 days and had to go to the hospital. I called and let them know, and they laughed and said, "um... ok." Will never go back to this store for any reason due to their rudeness over this matter, nor will I recommend this shop. Who knows how old the food they serve is.

A great place with very warm people. The meat here is fresher and the cut is as your ask them of. They also have nice options for kababs shawarma and meal options. Right next to Charles terminal and a good choice to grab a quick meal. If you're in a hurry you can even drop in for a snack like a samosa.

It's on my way home from work so I stop there quite often. Their food is affordable and quite good. They sell baked goods and a decent selection of meats. I always find the staff to be kind and helpful. Store is open every night until 12:00 which is very convenient.

Yesterday, they accused me of stealing a water bottle. When I walked up to the counter, they asked what was in my bag, and when I told them I only had my wallet, house keys, body spray and smokes, they forced me to empty out my bag, only to find out I was telling the truth. My husband and I will NEVER go there again. You don't accuse customers of stealing when you don't have the evidence against them.

Fair variety of products that you wouldn't find elsewhere, such as exotic spices and oils. Much of the packaging isn't in English, because it is imported, which is understandable. However, sometimes the store's labels for things such as pre-packaged spices isn't even in English, at which point it's very frustrating flagging someone down for help translating.

I've been coming here for about 7 years now, and I absolutely love this place. The food here is INCREDIBLE, some of the best in the city. I've brought so many friends here over the years and they've all been amazed at how delicious the dishes here are. It's also super affordable and filling. Last but not least, the staff here are amazing, especially the guys who are around in the afternoon and evening. They're some of the friendliest and hardest-working folks I've met, and walking into Hasty Market and being greeted by everyone is like arriving at a friend's house. So grateful for this hub of amazing food and community!

Way more on offer than most convenience stores.Did not try but saw huge steam table loaded with ready to go full meals. Pizza and fast food takeout too. Samosas, baklava, pita, injera, some produce, indian and middle eastern spices. Local yogourt, fresh paneer, frozen section. Grocery store items. Halal butcher with fresh lamb, chicken, beef and goat. Kitchen section has huge stock pots, ricecookers, utensils, woks.

I was told that if you walk away from your car for even a minute, even if you are a customer, there are people watching out the window waiting to give you a ticket. Don’t risk it, shop somewhere else. The man who issues the ticket reports to no one but himself, is afillated with the store, works for a parking company that he has created, and cannot be held accountable by the city. Do not shop here, he’s looking to hand tickets out like they’re candy, even if they’re unwarranted and contested reasonably.

I had a very good falafel wrap from this location. The store it's self is not very modern bright and new looking, but there is a large selection of items. You can get convenience items, hot food like pizza, fries, household supplies, there is a good mish mash of items here. The staff were all nice and did their job well. I did not feel as safe at night in this part of the city, but I am not a local so this is only my option. So - if you want a good falafel on a Sunday night and a bag of chips and pop perhaps give the Hasty Market a try.

I love this place dearly, as I shop and eat here frequently. But yesterday I purchased a gyro and two hours after consuming, I started to feel off so I went to bed. Was woken up in the early morning with extremely bad food poisoning. It's 24 hours later and I'm still running to the bathroom. I missed work and now have to take tomorrow off as well. I'm in such severe pain that I can't eat or even drink water. Unfortunately after this terrible experience, I will not be returning as a customer.

One of the dirtiest shops I've ever see in kitchener. A week ago I bought samosa from this shop. A cashier guy without wearing gloves and touching everything around with his hand, and then he directly went and take out samosa with his hand without wearing gloves or cleaning his hands and gave me. Very careless employee. meat blood is dropping all over the floor and cleaning only with dirty water without putting chemicals. Very careless and dirty place to shop. Better to shop somewhere.

This place is always open on holidays, which is just top drawer with me. In addition to this the spicy food is spicy and flavourful, ie. THE DYNAMIC DUO! Their prices are very reasonable considering the quantity and deliciousness of the food. I eat here every time a holiday comes around and all of the other restaurants shut doowwwwwwn for the day, including Christmas.

Looking for Persian/Afghan items and things, this is the only spot at downtown Kitchener. This is a really convenient location. They have halal products and some special things you can't find around like Doogh, plain yogurt, Persian pickles and so on.

I got a ticket here in the past week, I came to the store and explained the situation to the guys at the cashier that I only steeped out for a minute to go the bus terminal. Judging by the reviews I had no chance of getting this canceled. To my surprise they canceled the ticket for me and explained if I left the parking lot I would receive a ticket, but this time they would cancel it for me since I didn't know. Rock on guys!!!! You just made a new customer :)

I’m a huge fan of this family owned Hasty Market! They have East African, middle eastern and south Asian groceries, housewares and sweets. The staff here go through a lot, dealing with crackheads, thief’s, scammers and violent customers (as I’ve witnessed in the past). But this place is still my one stop shop for all my speciality ingredients needs! Prices are fair, meats fresh, and samosas and nan bread are yummy. I will continue to go back.

This Hasty market location is great because of the fresh meat the have in stock. I recently discovered that they have a butcher shop at the back and have been going there since. The surrounding area is a little sketchy but it is safe, and the parking lot gets a little crowded at times. Other then that it's a nice shop.

Went to this place today for gas and filters, looking for a specific cone filter. There was no one else in the store, but the cashier seemed bothered that he had to walk the 2 1/2 feet from the counter to the the shelf more than once. Then says to me " Bro are you going to actually buy or what? Nobody takes this long." So I said F#$! it, if I'm bothering you I'll take my business elsewhere." Got gas from the Petro up the street (which was cheaper), and cone filters from Smokers Paradise (thanks to the young lady working there) in the plaza next door.

$14 for a pack of budget smokes, tried charging me double for a lighter, can forgive the new guy on the lighter but prices are higher then any other store I've been to. Friendly staff gets them the extra star but would not recommend. Walk the 2 minutes to a different store.

went to yesterday for a chicken shawarma and i forgot my phone on the counter after paying, i was walking out to the bus station and one of the cashiers i saw behind me running towards me and yelling excuse me. i turned around and i saw him with my phone (it was my new iphone to) in his hand saying i forgot it. I still can not believe how nice and honest the employees are. Its hard to fine honest people these days. You will always have me as a costumer. THANK YOU!

Being an Arab guy myself, I always try different shawarma throughout region to see who's got the best bite. The shawarma at this place is second best in Kitchener, the only one better then this is mozys shawarma, but for $5.99 it's a bargain. Customer service was average but parking is tough to find so I recommend taking the bus. Will definitely go again.

The people that bake the bread are ass. The have no respect for the customers. Sometimes they even decline orders just because Its "too much." Isnt that what they're there for? To bake? Stupid.

Bad customer service from the guys in the back restaurant. They basically told me to get lost when I asked if they had any fresh bread. I drove all the way from just outside of Waterloo, about 25 minutes. I asked if there will be any fresh bread later, and they just stared me down and left to hide in the back. I was shocked, I came in dressed in a suit and overcoat ready to spend a lot of money. I shared this experience with some friends and they also said that the customer service here is very rude and unprofessional. I will go to the Turkish or Pakistani stores next, big mistake to give this Afghan store a chance.
