Great grocery store with a wide variety of fresh and packaged foods that are not outrageously expensive, which can be the case for some smaller community stores. From what I saw, prices aren't much different from what you would pay at one of the larger chains. Onsite butcher with a nice variety of fresh meats as well.

I give this lovely store 1 star...I want to give it none but I'm trying to be kind. I grew up around Lansdowne and have always loved this store. I prices are a bit high but that what you get in a small town convenience store. The staff is so very friendly and has always been an attraction. Until today. I am a women who chooses to not wear a mask. I am very polite about it and try not to draw attention to myself. Sylvan the owner I guessing is a wonderful man. I have been in and out of the store for some time now and he politely has offered me a mask before and I declined and when on with my shopping. Until today. It was brought to my attention by Sylvan that I was making a number of people uncomfortable because I wasn't wearing a mask. I was a bit taken back and didn't really know how to react as I have not been approached like this before. I simply said okay and I would no longer be coming back to the store. He did his job I understand...I am shocked at how the world is changing. It really does make me very angry at first and then in reflection sad. I'm sure if others who are more "anti mask" would have a hay day at this store...

Very overpriced. And tend to wait at till for long periods of time. I honestly do most of my shopping elsewhere to avoid paying crazy prices on meats and fresh produce. Not bad if you just need one or two small items.

This is the best grocery store you could ever ask for better than Loblaws Superstore Metro service is impeccable product quality is unbelievable, price is more than reasonable you get what you want no arguments no discussions you get exactly what you want, highly recommended I'm shopping here for a long time and for those beef lovers the beef in this location is AAA, hands down they only carry the finest nice treat.

This is a convenient place to grab necessities if you failed to plan or ran out of something. People are always friendly. The prices are much higher than any other supermarket and selection is limited especially in anything fresh (fruit, veggies etc). The building is fairly old and I am wondering is they have trouble with refrigeration in the hot summer months - I bought fresh meat twice from there only to realize it is spoiled when I went to cook it later that day or day after (never had that problem anywhere else). Deli counter makes great subs, bakery is very limited but useful when on the run.

Good selection for such a small grocery store with a lot of items cheaper than the larger stores in Kingston or Gananoque. Small meat counter with well butchered cuts of meat. Hamburger is high quality with much less fat than "No Frills" similarity labeled hamburger.

Best guys around to get your fresh cut meats. Never have an issue with anything I get from Freshmart in Lansdowne. I get a special cut of meat from them several times a year and they take great care in preparing it the way I need it. Wouldn't go anywhere else. They are the best.

Great small grocery store. Everything was fresh, and while the selection is limited everything you could need is there. Prices are slightly higher than normal stores buy again to be expected. Store was very clean and lots of staff working at keeping customers in and out safely.

Shopped here on a camping trip to Charleston Lake Provincial Park. Hands down the nicest little grocery store I have ever been in! TONS of selection, prices reasonable for their location friendly staff and great deli meat. If you go to Charleston, please give this store your business, and do yourself a favour and try their Bourbon Whiskey Beef Kabobs. Done over the campfire - WOW!

I shop here regularly, and can confidently say it is one of the best small town grocery stores you will find! Lots of selection, decent prices (lots of sales and markdowns as well If you're thrifty). A quality meat selection that easily rivals the big chain stores. Exceptionally clean all the time and the staff is super friendly. It is a perfect one stop shop for seasonal visitors/campers as well as year round citizens.

I'm disabled and came in with an infant in a stroller and we were told promptly that we couldn't bring the stroller in the store for fear we were planning to steal. (Apparently this happens a lot) There isn't even anywhere to conceal anything. We were humiliated and made to feel like criminals. I will not ever return to this business.

Great meat counter, always well stocked with various cuts. There was a comment that it's a bit pricey - it is a smaller store that can't compete with the big stores. The little extra you might spend in the store would be spent in gas and time going to a bigger store. Plus by shopping there you are keeping the locals employed. As for the rest of the store - very clean, well stocked and friendly staff.

The ding dong that left the one-star review is completely incorrect. They are kid-friendly and it's a great place to bring em. This is a great example of a nice family run business that's been supporting locals and cottagers for years. Of course it will be slightly more expensive but with that you get great customer service, great produce and meat products. You also know you are supporting the local families that work in the area. 1 2 and 3 star'ers clearly need an adjustment in your reviews and most definitely your lives as well...

Current update: I have since went in a few times with my son and my husband has went many times due to convenience and we haven't had anymore bad experiences. So far they have been accommodating and respectful so I am adding more stars. Thank you. 2 years ago my review was:The meat is good and priced well and usually the people are fine but I won't be going back if I can help it. My young son is hyperactive and very busy when he goes in any store he is very overwhelmed and tends to get a bit crazy. The last time we were in there after a long day i ended up leaving with my son because he wasn't listening very well and was wineing and my husband stayed inside to pay. The woman at cash told my husband if he continues to act the way he was acting when he goes in the store he wouldn't be welcome in the store anymore. He didn't break anything or hurt anyone and I removed him from the store. I tend to stay away from people or places that are going to judge us or my 4 year old son for things they have no idea about. I do not recommend going here with your kids.
