Extremely pathetic Management and staff. No clear information provided at the time of checkout. I purchased an electronic last night before closing and the cashier didn't tell me that it was final sale and I couldn't return it. I came home and found out that it was not the item that I needed. I didn't open the box and went to return the item back right after work today. The manager was so rude and pathetic in his approach. He said that the return policy recently changed and they are posted everywhere. They won't accept the item. I replied that I just purchased a set if head phones from stables 5 minutes ago and they mentioned on checkout that it won't be returned or exchanged at the time of checkout. Why didn't the cashier told me same here last night or I wouldn't buy this item. He said they chose to tell you and we are not obligated to tell you that. Another reason to not to buy anything from Walmart again. This person should be fired!

First time visiting this store and my experience was Hmm an okay one. The few staff is not knowledgeable about the products they don't know where things are or what it is your asking them to locate. I basically had to go look myself. I think the staff should educate themselves more about where things are. Interesting thing is the staff that I ask for help were wearing the yellow vest which I was surprised they didn't know what I was asking for. At the cashier they didn't have wrapping paper to wrap my fragile items the lady just put it in the bag like that I had to ask her for extra plastic bags to wrap them myself to substitute for them not having the wrapping paper needed to wrap fragile items . Smh ????????

A horrible place will never enter this store ever again. 1 check out the rest self checkouts I prefer the human experience not this electric run whatever. Cant even explained how this kind of store should not be running. No staff to be found horable selections with no employees to help. Super store maybe but Save On Foods is way better and has better deals. And actual employees go to Save on is my suggestion.

However, the worst part about the store is how unorganized it is and how they removed almost every cashier-run checkout in the store and replaced them with self checkouts a little over a year ago. The old setup was alot better and definitely gave more employment opportunities as a cashier.

I have been in a lot of Walmarts and unfortunately this one is the worst. The shelves are often empty with wrapped up crates of inventory blocking the aisles. So many things have no price marked and are in the wrong place. I posted a couple pictures you can see in the electronics dept. where the item are not at all what the sign above them show. It's looks like it could have used new floors about 5 years ago and now they have taken out almost all of the check out lanes and replaced them with self check out. Which is great if you have a couple items but not if you have a cart full. I appreciate Walmarts prices and will shop there but just really wish they could work on this place.

I spend 5 minutes around this place and I start grinding my teeth. It even starts in the parking lot before I park. Customers are ruse and have no respect for the store, I would feel bad for them but I feel it's self induced. The staff is always trying to be sneaky and play on their phones, the shelves are never stocked even though the palets are sitting in the aisles ready to be unloaded. I could go on for days; but since I have family that works there I will leave it that... I hear there is new management and they are interested in turning it into a superwalmart. Well I honestly wish you all the best of luck; just be sure to get the right leaders and remember that having respectful staff will make the customers follow suit.

I recently moved here in February. The Walmart where I am from all the managers and employees are super super rude. I come here in hopes that would change because I love Walmart but unfortunately almost all of the workers I’ve seen in Walmart up here is rude as well, not all but most. Still not a half bad place go,IF you know exactly what you want. The employees are very limited in knowledge about the items in their respective departments,so don't expect to get many answers if you have any questions about your purchase, other than where it's located in the store,and weather or not they have it in stock. Yes the place is usually crowded and the line ups are long because most of the shoppers don't like the "SELF- CHECKOUTS" but their Warranty and return Policy is still second to none. You can buy something in New Brunswick and they will replace or return it in Alberta if it's defective. That's all I have to say

Horrible store! One cash open(there are 4) with a huge line up. The rest are self check out. Very messy store even though the shelves are never stocked. Also no one around when looking for help/service. I'm not sure if they cant get anyone to work for them or if it's just bad management choices. It's actually an embarrassment to the town. It's the worse walmart that I've ever visited. The one good thing I can say was the one cashier that they had was very nice and friendly!

They discriminated me because I was white. I had a $3.00 coupon, and the girl at the self check out asked for a receipt for my coupon. I didn't understand why she had asked, it took 10 mins for her to ring it in. She was very rude, she humiliated me and embarrassed me by treating me as if I were a criminal. This place is totally unorganized and has been for 8 years I had been here. This needs to change. Hire staff. Hire staff that speaks English that would help to or French.

I work as a contractor at site. I purchased a pair of jeans just before my last contract ended in May. They were way too big. My contract in June was cancelled and I did not return to Fort McMurray until August. The assistant manager refused to return the jeans for refund because it was outside of their 90 day return policy. I explained the situation but no exception was made. I am disappointed in Fort McMurray Walmart and their lack of support for transient workers.

It is not the same as other walmart. Customer service is very good and helpful. Other staff who works in different departments has no idea about the products. It’s usually very messy and shelves are empty. I also think customers should trained to be respectful and don’t make a mess. I’ve never seen this kind of behavior from people even in the other stores in the town!!!!

I've returned things without a receipt before at Walmart. You need to go to the Walmart you bought from and show them the last 4 digits of the card you paid with and they'll find it. Done this many times. Now, tell me WHY I cannot EXCHANGE something that I have the receipt number. I bought the wrong item (Catan for kids) and I wanted to exchange it for the regular game. I BOUGHT IT AN HOUR AGO. I did not open it, I did not tamper with it, I simply want to play a game with my coworkers out here. I HAD THE RECEIPT NUMBER FOR CHRIST'S SAKE 000001001458 and the SAME CARD I paid with an HOUR BEFORE. I wanted to exchange something so that I could BUY a more expensive item. It just doesn't make sense. The manager went full karen mode and told us NO RETURNS. Okay karen, I'm not trying to return something, I NEED TO EXCHANGE. Terrible customer service but what do you expect from a Walmart being run by people in Fort McMurray.

This place has terrible customer service . I went to the store looking for a few things in electronics and nobody was in the department. Went looking for anybody ended up in automotive and found a employee that directed me back to electronics and tgat someone would be there. Ended up leaving after nobody came to help me . Figured i call back at 10:00 am to speak to somone and to my surprise i was on the phone for 20 mins waiting to talk to someone . I hung up the phone and called back to customer service desk and waited another 10 minutes before getting the most snarky person alive to tell me there noone and i ask when they would be in ? The Fort McMurray Walmart is by far the worst store i've ever been it. They have no prices marked on half the items, most the the price checkers dont work. And the staff are rude unhelpful and just plain lazy. Its the only store i know that can raise my blood pressure just walking in. If I had other choices i dont think id ever go there again.

I hate Wal-Mart. The only reason I shopped there is because Marks and Canadian tire and work world and work gear were all flooded in the spring and have not reopened. Wal Mart is going out of style, they do not have all the merchandise they use to & Prices have gone up drastically. The Customer service is also very bad there, as none of the staff smile or greet you like they use to when it first opend. None of the Staff ever look happy. Empty shelves, products with no price, always guessing how much a thing cost, just a couple price checks in the whole store and not working, aisles are narrow and they are always blocked with pallets or staff restocking shelves that anyways always look empty, hard to get around, poor selection of products, no cashiers available, just self check out and if you are doing a large purchase, it is hard to go through those self checkouts because there is not space where to place stuff, etc, when you go to another Walmart down south, is like going to a different store, bad this is the only Walmart in town among a fewer stores overall and looks like a thrift store.

We needed passport photos so we called walmart to ask how late the photo place was open. The person on the phone told us 7 pm. We then drove to Walmart at 6:30 pm to find out that the photo place closed at 6pm not 7. The worker at the passport booth took our number to call me with a discount. No phone call. Before leaving we stopped by customer service to ask who answers the phone and to let them know that the photo booth actually closes at 6pm. The person at customer service had no idea who answered the phone and was not even familier with the word "phone". All in all I'd compare the service experience to that of a kindergarten bakesale put on by the students.

Alot of stock not in stock notes on shelves for certain disinfectants advised to go to customer service for items only to be looked at like your crazy for asking. No information given as to when any more will be in. I drive bus and need disinfectant spray to keep clean in between passengers and sadly have to buy my own as company does not provde anything but bleach. So I'm spraying my seats and touch points 4 times a day. I was told by a friend of mine in a different city who is in management that he can't speak on other stores but that they keep theirs behind the desk for staff and only selling to their staff. Very frustrated as I am on the frontlines and can't get the products needed even from the manufacturer as they state they are only selling directly to hospitals and to companies proven front line. So what about those of us who are not a company but still frontline?

No stock, and when they do have stock it's still on pallets in random areas of store and you have to climb them to get what you need. Or the pallets are in the way of something you actually need and no one will help you get what you need. Employees are rude, most of them don't care about their job never mind helping someone. Food selection is almost none existent. Which is probably just as well because the place is always dirty. The store could become an actual desired place to shop. But it's in desperate need of new management, caring employees, and a kick as cleaning crew.
