This is by far my favourite store in this city. The store is layed out into little themed rooms and sections. I was very surprised by the selection of produce and the chocolate! So many different delicious types of artisan and local chocolate bars. Hundreds. Some very high quality and others more affordable. Theres tons of bulk spices & dried herbs, they're section of household goods like soaps, natural cleaners, is really enjoyable. They carry products I've never seen anywhere in town, and they seem to have everything under the sun. Go there now, hurry!

Well … I was totally blown away. What an amazing store. I was expecting a typical upscale small convenience store with limited selection. Instead I was greeted by a literal maze of products, with a deep selection of local goods. We’ll be back! Just tested the olive oil I bought on a whim. We were running low and I wanted to try something a bit different. Quite an overwhelming wall of olive oils to choose from. This one was one of the least expensive and seemed worth a try. Well, it is wonderfully fruity and full of aroma. I think it will do well on salads.

What a hidden gem this place is! I found so many items that I have never seen in any other stores in Victoria! You can spend hours in here just looking. They have a great selection of chocolates, pasta, herbs and spices, deli meats and cheese and also a nice selection of organic vegetables. Also a huge display case of candied fruits.

I love it so much here! It's a beautiful store, with an amazing selection of unique spices, beautiful houseplants (fiddle leaf figs guys? Staghorns?! Can't get trendier than that) and cool food. A kombucha bar and a selection of refillable household cleaners is the cherry on the cake.

Great little neighbourhood healthy grocery store that just keeps on getting better and better. All of the produce is organic and comparable in cost to the conventionally-grown produce for the big grocery stores (though, oftentimes the organic produce from The Market Garden is actually cheaper than the conventionally-grown stuff from the big stores). I go often to get local meat from Berryman Farms, and it’s probably the best beef/pork/chicken you can get in the city. Staff are super friendly and very helpful.

We went into The Garden Market to browse, and came out with olive oil, sea asparagus, fiddleheads, tea, coffee, and even 100% linen pants! A beautiful store with an amazing selection of local grocery items and other goods. Highly recommend!

This market is small but beautiful. You enter under a barrel- vaulted ceiling, with chandeliers! Lots of local, handcrafted items. Meats and produce are all organic. There's even a kombucha bar, with four taps. In back are all kinds of organic heritage bedding plants from their own greenhouses.

Grand piano is the centrepiece, probably the best organic, GMO free groceries/wild mushrooms/pasta/grass fed beef you can buy anywhere in Victoria...great veggi selection...and NO clam shell plastic containers for greens!!! The coffee & tea selection here is incredible! If you haven't been here, you should definitely check it out just to see the assorted of items you'll never see in a chain grocery store.

Spent about an hour oohing over everything in this delightful and characterful. I was transported to Luca in Tuscany - the store interior to the goods displayed!! This shop in not only a corner store but a gourmet shop of dry goods and organic fresh items and more! The staff weren't to busy to answer questions. I've never seen a store like it. Plenty of imported specialty items from Spain and Europe. Amongst the imported items are an abundance of locally produced goods as well from the island and further out in BC. I didn't know if I was in a grocery store or a public market! Definitely the type of place you'll find delicacies and spices for recipes that you couldn't find elsewhere. Some of the imported products are pricey. However this is understandable considering how far they've come and in smaller quantities. Otherwise, there are reasonable prices on many of the local and more common goods. Worth checking out for sure!

This is the most beautiful grocery store I have ever been to. It's truly a feast for the eyes, and clearly has artists designing the space. They have lots of interesting items, and fresh local produce. They are more expensive than a regular grocery store chain (Avalon chocolate milk, for instance, is $2.00 more here than at nearby Save-On), but if you can afford it, it's great to support this local business. And did I mention that the store is BEAUTIFUL?

A really wonderful store in the neighbourhood. We bought some specialty sodas. There is a large selection of seeds, seedlings and plants in spring and summer. Inside they have specialty foods and fresh cut flowers. Lots to see and enjoy. Their FB page keeps me up to date on specials too.

Found the Market Garden on Catherine when I was out for a walk. A little out of my normal area, but stopped in as we needed a few things and I had never been. Great system for keeping the numbers in the store to a safe level with only 10 clothes pins available to gain entry. Staff are very helpful and there is a nice selection of organic and healthy options for many of the things we buy regularly. I would recommend the Market Garden for anyone looking for the unique items you often find in boutique markets in bigger cities. Found some nice gluten free treats as well!

Great place for both locally produced and fancy imported groceries. Things may cost a little more than your average grocery store but the quality is excellent and you get what you pay for. I only buy my garlic and canned tomatoes from here. Also nice to get good quality seafood, fancy cheese, and Cold Comfort ice cream sandwiches so close to home.

This little gem of a place is out of this world! It’s like a magic shop! It is classy and cute but romantic too somehow with nooks and crannies and little delicious this and that to delight your senses. You can tell, the owners take great pride in every single item they sell, and that they love their shop and care about the customer as well. You may find unique flower bouquets, canned chestnut from Italy, Italian marzipan, a chocolate lover’s paradise, vegan, and meat lover both can find yummy eats. The produce is always fresh and beautiful. You can find a unique variety of cheeses and even local body care and clothing. So fun just to wonder around inside while piano music is playing. Truly thankful to have such a shop here in Victoria.

Enter to a new coffee bar and bakery from local bakers. High quality groceries, bit higher priced but worth it. Summer is fun because you can wander out back to where they're growing produce on site. Meat is local and not a huge part of the market, just a small fridge worth but quality is very high. Think mini whole foods. Great flower and home decor however the home decor is about $15 high on everything. This is a jewel in Vic west. They have a zero waste section as well. Additionally they have a kambucha bar on site.
