Terrible experience to shop at the fisgard Market. Staffs was rude. I brought a few groceries including a pack of frozen dumplings and there was a cut at the bottom of the packaging with no expiry date on the package. I made a call to the shop to see if I can get a refund or an exchange, but the owner & staff was not helpful at all. Even thought I like the variety of choices there but I will not shop there anymore.

This is the place to go if you want some of the worst service ever. And if you like tiny, cramped, and claustrophobic aisles then look no further. It'd be fantastic to see some better service and more control over the lines. Customers budging in line all the time. I feel 1 star is still too generous

This is my go to for anything that I require for Asian specialty dishes. The selection is massive and it's inexpensive. Lots of good candy, hichew for days. This is as close as victoria gets to a T&T style market. Seriously the best market in the whole city.

Wonderful go-to store for most of your Asian groceries! Good variety of fresh fruit and veg, frozen and dry products to choose from. It can easily get a bit crowded at times, but definitely check out their weekly flyer on IG to get some good deals!

July 8/19 about 5 PM the main cashier was so painfully slow I abandoned the prospective vegetable purchases and went around the corner to Tai Sang Grocery at 1717 Government where the service is far superior and ditto for the prices. The Fisgard Mkt 5 PM cashier either needs to be trained to greatly speed it up or replaced. Also the outside employees prepping the vegetables shouldn't be smoking. In order to post a comment Google requires the clicking of a star so that I did but really, NO stars. On a scale of 1 to 10 this place today earns a minus five.

I Love this place for cheap produce, the only problem is that most of it's sitting outside so sometimes it'll get soft from being in the sun, just make sure you check it before you buy it.

Lots of oriental products to pick and easily accessible in Chinatown. Prices not any cheaper than Fairways Market. Bags of sack rice in 25kg. Great selection but again you can get it cheaper when on sale in Fairways, Langford Super Store or at Canadian Wholesale at Esquimalt. Aisles are truthfully narrow, crowded difficult to navigate. Especially have to be cautious not to pick & drop bottle jars from shelves, display as is tightly compresed. Wanted to buy frozen dim sum but no price tags. Can't help noticing prices sign posted on glass sliding door is in chinese. All day long staff transfering goods on mobile dolly from outside to instore at the inconvenience of customers. Side walks are constantly packed & lined up with goods on the ground. At least 3 shop lengths. DON'T buy marked down fresh refrigerated noodles as its to close to best before date. Did this twice result was bad experiences. They turn bad in 1-2 days had to throw outside. Not worth it. Btw markdown differences is not that great either!! Allow Fisgard Market. to dispose their close to expiration products into the garbage at end of due dates. Better this way for customers not to end in frustration.

This is our go to place to get specialty ingredients for all our Asian cooking. They have a fantastic variety of rice, oils, vinegar, and dried products. They also have the BEST frozen dumplings in the back fridge that my husband and I are addicted to. The staff is really kind and has helped me find things I was having trouble spotting.

Generally oriental asian local grocery & produce + frozen stuff is offered but not necessarily cheap in comparison with Fairways market. Do price study to get reasonable deal on items you are seeking. They do have weekly deals. Just refer to posted store flyers next to cashier counter.

Fresh vegetables at great prices. They have lots of other Asian grocery items I could not find at Fairway. I agree that this place is very crowded, and their staff does not always look friendly. However, all these does remind me of Asia.

It's a convenient place for Chinese groceries if you live in the downtown area and don't want to drive to a fairway store. But it's really small, nothing comparable with the ones in a big city like Vancouver and Toronto.

This is the first time I have ever left anyone a bad review, but I've been here twice, and both times the cashier's face and attitude is like sh*t. Despite the horrible cashier, food and grocery was ok. Just don't be expecting any customer service.

Nice market with pretty reasonable prices. Watch out for their "specials" which they are often looking to clear almost going bad items. I have ended up opening apples, bananas and oranges that are already bad just after buying them.

I called to see if they had something in stock. Lady who answered the phone called me lazy and told me to come in store then hung up. I called back and tried to explain that I lived out of town and she told me to stop talking and she was busy, then hung up again! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This store has been here for generations. Prices are competitive. If you don't feel like traveling to Richmond, this will be the closest alternative. They sell everything from chinese kitchen equipment, incense, chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, philipino food, to chinese medicine. Only downside are that their confectionery are not the freshest, but that is why you can go to the restaurant next door Wai Lue Yan. No hot food either. Parking can be a pain if you do not live downtown.

A wide selection of (mostly) fresh produce, snacks, and asian goods. Prices are fair. Last few visits however, I keep getting incorrect change. If you're paying cash, keep an eye on it.

Def a place to get corona. No limit on how many customers inside, aisle are like 2 feet apart. No Credit card accepted. Extra $0.50 on debit purchases under $5. Wth!!! Though they have an immense collection of asian food items

Good prices on Asian ingredients compared to larger markets. Some good deals on produce, but look it over closely. Not for the claustrophobic, but I'm not going to complain with this many sesame oil options. The checkers straddle the line between efficient and rude.
