This Fruit Store is classified in the category of Grocery store.
Nice place to do groceries, specially the first Tuesday of Each month because they have an good discount. Fresh fruits and vegetables!
Love this store
A fairly large Save On, with a good selection of staple items. Their deli, salad section was looking pretty bleak when we visited.???? It was only 2 in the afternoon on a weekday, but many salads already missing from the trays, some others looked very unappealing with just a few beans floating in liquid (for example). Clerk there was friendly and apologetic but that didn't help with filling up our basket! Bakery selection was ok but clerk there was rather snarky when I asked a question about the muffins (short black hair with glasses). She seemed in a rush to get back to standing around at the back, instead of trying to be helpful. Organic section could use more produce. Didn't even have organic tomatoes available, which should be a given. Clerk (young, thin man) there was nice and tried to help, but again, that didn't help with what we wanted to buy that day. Prices overall were good. Would probably shop here again.
Good lunch buffet, pizza, sandwiches, salads etc. Great for a relatively healthy and cheap lunch. With all the business nearby it can get pretty busy at lunch time but there always seems to be fresh food ready. Beside that the produce and meat here is good too, this is one of the better save-on's in the city.
Nice store, set up for convenience, excellent salads, Deli, an meats
Found it to be a very good grocery store ,as well as having top staff very helpful very knowledgeable
Never have enough cash registers open. It's always a 10min wait to get from the resister to out of there.
A very standard franchise location.
Helpful staff
Great place to shop! Everyone here observes social distancing. You can even pick up lottery tickets at this location ????
Good selection and sales. One of my go to grocery stores.
Great place to shop for groceries. Nice staff and great location downtown
Save-On-Foods menus Delicious foods
Good inventory and pricing. The greens are consisted good quality with the display culled of failed greens. The staff is great and almost all members know what is where in the store ????. Keep up the good work.
Clean store, fairly organized, always have lots of fresh produce. Minus one star because they're always out of banana chips *sad face*
Clean, good staff and convenient parking...
Easily the worst covid safety protocols I've seen at any grocery store in Victoria. Masks are barely a suggestion, management does not care if customers are wearing them. Staff and customers alike have brought it up countless times and management simply won't enforce mask protocols. If you're smarter than all the doctors and researched it yourself on YouTube and think that covid ain't real, this is the store for you! Because they won't ask you to wear one. I asked someone right behind me to give me some space in line as they weren't wearing one, their response was to hurl a racial slur and the store still served them. I posted about my experience on FB and was shocked at how many other guests, current and former employees reached out to confirm how this is a trend. Staff aren't even allowed to suggest guests wear masks.
Always great service and usually better selection than Sobeys and Safeway.
Clean, friendly informative staff. Had some great selections of meat!
Conveniently located within walking distance of most apartments downtown along the walking paths
At one point I gave this location a 5 star review because back in 2013 they actually tried. I've been shopping at this location since they bought out Safeway. Now I will never shop in this location. The store is messy, stock is always out, the store and tills are dirty and customer service is gone. The cashiers are rude and get angry when you ask them to clean the conveyer belt because it's covered in milk and who knows what else. There are two people who I would love to see transfer to the Westside village location so I still get to deal with them because they seem to be the only two who provide exceptional customer service and they are the guy with the cool hair and Cole. I'm sad it's come to this but since the summer this store has gone downhill
Quite a large grocery store! Definitely get their member card to get the discounts...if not, it gets expensive... Staff is friendly and well stocked!
Good selection, always find what I'm looking for. Save on is really great for people with celiac or gluten intolerance, as they label products throughout the whole store. They have a dedicated aisle for these foods as well. Their produce always looks great, as does the bakery and deli section.
Nice layout friendly staff good variety of food
80% of products are overpriced, but can be convenient if close by.
Clean and friendly staff .
Good stock. Clean store. Helpful staff. Have only been here a couple of times but it’s above average in the city.
Pretty friendly staff but service was lacking at the till that I went through at least. It is taking far too long to get through the lineups. :(
I do groceries here frequently. It can get very busy especially on weekends, though employees really try to help out when the lines get unruly. The self checkout machines sometimes make me want to rage quit but there's always a patient person at the front ready to help me out.
Awesome fresh produce.Staff very friendly & helpful
It's a grocery store. I came here on customer appreciation day and there's always a big was line up. But it is quick and the lady navigating the line up is very efficient and super friendly. I give 4 stars because avocados are always hard or too ripe.
Always great bakery and deli selection. Staff always helpful and customer focused.
It's good to have one store to count on for certain products!
Big clean store with polite and helpful staff. Produce selection is always awesome, gotta love happy hour Tuesdays to Fridays in the meat department (50% off meat items between 3pm and 6 pm).
It's a great looking store but prices are high and product selection isn't great. Wish we could get in at night from movie theatre side.
Always clean and organized but little expensive than others grocery stores.
Prices are fair enough when you will visit all the time. Friendly staff. Washroom is clean. Though users should be informed to lock the door. A staff assisted and opened for me, but there was somebody inside. ???? clean grocery store and accessible to Jasper Place and Oliver residents.
The staff is very amazing like the game fortnite
Nice store that gets nice deals to look out for
Sav-On foods if this is the one that's on Blanchard near uptown I think I've already posted on it but yeah pretty good place no discrimination problems here and easy to access lots of employees right there at the front door washing down all the carts so good business practice and no discrimination here
No price reader anywhere in the store.
One of the only grocery offerings down town now that sobeys has closed, save on offers groceries at reasonable prices and you can find most staples here. Sometimes, they are lacking certain items that other nearby stores do offer though.
Great hot food since they renovated. Produce is below average.
People complain about Save-On-Foods in general having very high prices, but comparing the stuff that I usually buy to other grocery stores around the city, and the prices are pretty much on-par, even compared to Wal-Mart. I don't buy super-exotic stuff, maybe that's why. Gets pretty crowded on the first Tuesday of each month but that's because everything is an additional 15% off. Wish they would carry Sodastream products, specifically the syrups!!!
Has every grocery one could possibly need. There is also a Starbucks in this one. Some prepared foods, so it would be a good place to come for a quick bite or just a coffee.
Love the Red Lobster .
This has to be one of the most upscale Save-On-Foods grocery stores in Edmonton. Great selection of fresh seafood, an extensive well stocked deli, fabulous bakery, wide selection of garden fresh vegetables and salads, tasty ready to eat prepared sandwiches, freshly prepared hot read to eat entrees, and a wonderful meat and dairy section.
I look for sale prices all the time
Very good and convenient location. Not as big as some stores but still stocked well. Not that dirty like some places.
Not a fan of Save-On-Foods everything seems highly overpriced much rather shop somewhere else
Matched pricing
Great pharmacy
Excellent Customer Service for most cashiers
James on cash is awesome, always happy to go thru his till. Solid human being, always very helpful, thanks James!
Regular prices are a pretty high but regularly have good sales on a wide range of products
Yahoo: 8/10 .
I don't know what's wrong with their pricing!! Every week, I can see something at least 30% more expensive than the old pricing. If you like your pocket, NEVER step inside since you can find everything way cheaper at Walmart or Superstore!
It's got a fairly bigger selection of ready to eat foods, but with all save ons, it more expensive than other stores
Impossibly slow checkout lines, rotten produce, and a generally run down environment.
I find Save On Foods quite over priced. This location is well stocked and well organized. I've found the staff aren't always the most friendly and the cashiers arent well trained. Times I've been in line the cashier has had to look up every single code for produce our has been calling over to nearby cashiers to ask codes. I understand it's a lot to learn however very little tact and our seems unprofessional
The only place I have found that stocks Gardein turkey....unfortunately they never seem to stock enough
I love the produce here and bulk bins! Plus the cashier's are so happy!
Great people and good selection. Make sure you get the save-on points card for special price reductions. Produce is always fresh, good selection of organic and vegetarian foods as well. Store also carries seasonal items, and has an elaborate pharmacy/beauty section!
A good place yo stop for a few groceries. Needs more selection and a better deli.
Great salad bar and ideal for a quick grab during lunch food
I like the store, the staff, and management. I wear a mask so if others are not, I don't think it's my place to comment. I always shop off peak hours when I can to avoid crowds, suggest you do the same if you are nervous, or don't care for crowds in any case, regardless of COVID19.
Usually have some good deals and quite good variety. Lots of parking!
Good location. However it dosent have as much stuff as some other save on stores.
Really good with reasonable prices
There have frequently been 2-3 self-checkouts out of order recently. Not great to have reduced open tills and machines down when it's predictably busy.
Been going here for decade and a bit. People are good. Food's a bit pricey but it is everywhere. Not a deal store, but a quality food place if you're trying to determine this or safeway
Clean, well-stocked store. Decent layout includes self-checkout and a Starbucks kiosk.
The recent renovations have made a big improvement to this store, the hot food section is good (I would recommend trying the pizza). The only sad part is some of their staff can be rude, which is a shame because everyone at the cash registers and customer service has been wonderful
Only place to get the goods
Well stocked
Always great selection, nice produce, great lunch or single person meal options. Clean store and generally really good service.
2 aisle gluten free shipping at this save on location. Tonnes of gluten free items packed in.
Always a good deal with card. They need to stock more of the sale items sometimes.
I like the quality of their products. Not so much the prices. I find it a bit expensive but if you have the time and look for specials then it's worth it. I was looking for Winnipeg rye bread they don't have it. Instead I found Nottingham bread bake right there. The price was very good and so was the fresh bread.
I was assaulted by a security guard over a misunderstanding in his head. I was placed in a literal choke hold. Police were called, returned my items to me that the guard took hostage, and then left. If they are going to straight out attack shoppers, this store IS NOT SAFE.
Alright
Employee's are not respecting social distancing as well they are not properly cleaning carts for customers to keep healthy and safe.
Multiple times I've experienced cashiers not having the code for things or even bothering to do any corrective action. I wanted to buy a seasonal flower arrangement for a dinner I'm going to and since all it had was a sticker with a price (like the rest of the potted) he claimed he couldn't sell it... lazy. I've worked many retail jobs, if you don't know you call someone.
I have only had positive experiences with this Save-On location. I order online weekly and every staff member that I have interacted with has been great. It's still so novel to me that I can place an order online in mere minutes, swing by to the store, have the bags loaded into my trunk, and drive away. It's almost too easy!
Did not feel comfortable. Many staff were not wearing masks including those working in the fruit and vegetable sections and customer service.
Good location right on the cycletrack. Plenty of good prepared food to go.
Go to place for breads and produce
Love sav on. Good food. They even had good prices and sales before inflation became the new latest and greatest thing.
Not the fanciest Save-On in town but has what you need usually. Good prices on organic juices and snacks. Better snack selection than competition by far, also.
Overall do a great job. Especially with Covid they made sure to have as many specials on as possible to help people stretch their dollar even more during this fiasco...that said this store in particular went a little overboard with the strictness and treatment of customers during the pandemic (?)...overbearing, rude, forceful, far many security staff, blaring pa system spraying words of social distancing with threatening over tones "this is NOT a request"...It as so bad, I shopped the Westend location where things were far more "Normal"....
Every now and then they have great deals on pie~
Great place to shop. One of the best save on foods in the city
Customers and staff are still completely ignoring the direction arrows on the floor and walking the aisles however they like.
I come here every Saturday for 1 thing a cappiciono very inconsistent. Can you please show your staff the difference wet and dry it seems they only know 1 way very wet.
I am happy about the service here. People are welcoming and ready to help
Quite like the selection. Some of the organic items are overpriced in my opinion. The staff by far make up for any pricing nuances. One of my favorite places for groceries!
Our store of choice. Save on points for travel. Pricematching, good produce, large variety, good sales.
It has food in it
Good
I love that they carry lots of vegan brands and specialty products. Their kitchen and bakery section are also always delicious.
A great grocery store.
Good variety of groceries. They have a small cafeteria, which is super convenient to grab a lunch there.
This store follows all of the covid measures, I feel alot safer there than most of the other grocery stores.
Local variety.
Would it kill you to stock ripe avocados??! COOL YEAH I TOTALLY WANT MY AVOCADO TO BE RIPE NEXT WEEK PERFECT TIMING
Pretty busy during lunch rush. Well stocked. Clean.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Well organized grocery store in a great location. The staff are super helpful. Prices are okay.
This is my jam, when it comes to grocery stores they really got it going on! Location location location applies to my grocery shopping too.
Good hours, great selection, but quite expensive.
it is much good place to purchase everything and it is much cheaper than other stores
Good staff friendly and helpful. Decent prices plus easy parking.
Good prices
I love this Save On. I know where everything is, and the staff are always so helpful. The hot buffet and the salad bar are really good too! (Love me some wings!)
Despite their size they always seem to have limited selection and their meat department is not very good. A redeeming quality I suppose is that their staff are always friendly and as helpful as they can be with the limited resources they have.
Well laid out. Lost a star because only the cashier acknowledged me
Almost always have everything I need and they price match anything that is on sale elsewhere.
I went to this store early morning. It is very clean and well organized store. One guy his name is Bob, he was very helpful and very polite. I really like the way he was treating the customers there. Good job Bob.
Awesome staff! Excellent selection, always clean, just needs RIPE avacados!! *Edit* They have ripe avocados now!!
I know now where everything is now ! I have to get there by 6pm or I miss out on the bar b que chickens ! Nice staff also very courteous and helpful !
Good prices fresh produce
Best place for lower grocery prices
I love shopping here at this Save on Foods grocery market, staff are very friendly and always willing to give you advice, store is well maintained, very organized, clean, just all around great service, C'mon in check it out, see you there
Always fresh always good service
The food quality is better than I thought. The window bar shape table has many USB charging ports which is pretty nice.
Great place and great selections. Their price tend to be a little bit more compare to other grocery store.
The lunch buffet and deli here is great, lots of options. The produce selection is also good. However, the prices here are so expensive! Comparing the prices here to other grocery stores in the neighborhood, the prices are exorbitant. No thanks.
Overpriced, and they tacked on a fundraiser donation without asking me. Didn't realize until I got home that they decided I was going to donate five dollars. I had not been asked at all during my conversation with the cashier. This is ridiculous. Also of note, there was rotting fruit left out.
The Chinese self serve buffet is horrible. It was cold, tiny portions, more expensive then restaurants. Would not recommend this to anyone. Feel ripped off. Very mushy, tasted like frozen Chinese food reheated.
Large selection of produce, always fresh. A little on the expensive side compared to larger stores (ie: superstore, walmart).
Not a bad place to stop for some meal ideas. Make sure you have your save on card because it can get a little expensive compared to other grocery stores but they're weekly discounts make it worthwhile. They're also open pretty late.
Decent produce and meat. You dont really "save on" anything since this is one of the higher priced stores. Good selection of stuff tho. This location is pretty busy.
Love it
Lots of sketchy people in the 109 st location. Security was everywhere and there was a woman picking through the bulk goods with her bare hands. I told an employee but he was too busy. Lots of rude people who park their shopping carts in the middle of the aisle. Wouldn't reccomend.
It has excellent meat, fish and produce, and many high end and obscure items.Excellent staff providing first rate customer service.
It had food,... and I EAT food, Sooo ... it worked out well ... : )
Very nice layout, feels like a local market
An excellent general-purpose grocery store with good produce selection and reasonable prices. Beware the parking lot: many aggressive drivers, especially from the North entrance.
Prices gone up ridiculous their prices
Good sale prices, but you have to watch the flyer. And you definitely want to have a save on more card or don't bother shopping there. they have a really awesome Deli hot food Thai coconut chicken soup for $4 it's a full meal.
Fresh fruit and vegetables unlike some other stores. Clean and well kept, not always the most helpful staff in my experience, however the store is easy enough to navigate on your own.
Store is very clean and organized. The produce and meat look great.
Polite staff and fine produce
Good provisions
Super helpful on my medication. I will return
My favourite save-on out of all here in Victoria. I find that it offers great selection and the store lay out is very convenient.
Great store. Friendly staff
Theres deals
Love to shop at this store Fresh food with very reasonable price... also has many ready to eat items too
Very nice variety of product and carries a great selection for those on alternative diets (i.e. Monkfruit sweeteners, gluten free breads and pastas, cauliflower pizzas, etc.); the produce is lovely and the store is well kempt. My only complaint is the sheer amount of people permitted in at a time with so little lane control; while I can appreciate that the employees can only do so much I'd like to see security or people of the sort enforcing Covid guidelines as I unfortunately had a stressful experience trying to avoid people crowding, walking in the wrong direction, and wearing their masks off their noses. Outside of my complaint this store is fantastic and I think the employees are doing the best they can! Just aim to stop in later in the day perhaps because the morning and afternoons are kinda cramped.
Nice store,well stocked but pricey.
organic produce is staring to get better!
It is my go-to local Grocery Store. Great staff, friendly service from the Starbucks staff to the check-out cashiers. Excellent selection of products. I shop there at least a few times per week on average.
Good selection, produce department is well displayed! Excellent bakery...a bit slow at peak hours
It's a grocery store.
Great place for fresh vegetables and prices are reasonable.
As a single person I am impressed with all the ready to eat meals that can be made to take out,
It's really nice that they're open late. great location with great staff.
Way too expensive. Even if everything went up a penny they are making millions because 1000's of people shop there. Product has gone thro the roof. While Canadian children starve, they would rather throw it out than donate. And the only thing they ever have on sale is prefab high in salt and sugar junk food. Apples that are grown here $2.49 a lb!. Last years carrot that are imported $1.69 lb. Jimmy Pattison a used car salesman should be ashamed of himself. Remember Jimmy, Canadian children are starving while you sit in your penthouse. While reading through some reviews just now, I noticed the same generic response from you about prices and how proud you are of your flyers. Big deal! Flyers don't feed starving Canadian children.
Great staff one stop shopping
The " Always lowest price guaranteed "slogan is not really the truth. It is sneaky. In fact a number of products at Save On Foods are the highest price you can find. Yes even higher ...much higher than Whole Foods. But if it is on some magical list ...possibly. So it's another marketing BS program with blackouts. It should read " Always lowest price guaranteed ON SELECT ITEMS. Advertised Price. This is murky too. Seems it needs to be in a flyer. You see an every day price for $3.99 at a store and at Save On they sell same item for $5.49 .Show staff this and the snake oil BS rolls out. Need more cashiers too at peak times. Often lines are long 3 tills open yet staff are milling about. Hello ...take our money do the other stuff later !
Good price, variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Expensive, but excellent produce & selection
Very frustrating self-checkout, the 'bagging area' is more annoying than helpful
This is my go to grocery store. The renovations look great and the location is convenient.
Online shopping is hit n miss with this place
Decent grocery store but expensive if you don't have a loyalty card.
Cashier called Chris served us today and he was the best.
The Prepared food is very mediocre and highly overpriced. I paid 13 dollars for a quarter chicken and small salad and was even charged for the dressing at 80 cents each. Ridiculous, never going back.
They got stuff to purchase...
Typical grocery store.
What did they do to the chicken it is so greasy and under cooked so were the fries they had good chicken at one time :-) went back for a lunch can not believe how much we paid for our lunch $25 .00 and it was not very good at 2.15 PR 100 grams at a salad food bar 3 meat ball and some Pennie with cheese sauce 2 pops and chicken pot pie :-) it was$12.70 for meat balls very spicy and Pennie with cheese sauce tasted like garbage We will never eat their again :-) :-)
Very helpful staff and clean store. I've been shopping there since 1996
Lots of food, good produce, take out/premade meal options, salad bar, hot food bar. The bakery is only average though.
My go to place to shop for groceries.
Decent store. Rude employees. Some nice ones.
Slow service. Lots of employees standing around.
Great stock and staff was very helpful! Loved the jalapeño and asiago ciabatta bread was amazing!!
Expensive but mom likes it
The self check out is very convenient! Bakery cookies are delicious too
Overall has what you need in grocery store but is over priced. No great deals to be had even with My Rewards and sale prices. Got two bags of groceries for 80+ dollars.
One of my favorite places to shop love the prepared deli selections and that it is a western based food chain.
More expensive than others, but extremely convenient in the heart of downtown. I would love to see more local products though...why do we need american beef if we have beef farmers in Alberta ! Keep local workers at work and support our farmers first !???? ????????
Definitely misleading name. Overpriced. Same things cost 30% more than other grocery stores.
The friendly, helpful staff is always there to make your shopping experience just that much more pleasant. The produce section, deli, and meat departments are well stocked with fresh foods, and the bakery is teeming with delicious baked goods.
I go because it is close to my house. The major annoyance I have with the store is having to pull out my Saveon more card to get the deals. I downloaded the app and started using my phone for my save on card but not all the machines can read the barcode on my phone, so I either have to go to a new check out machine or have a clerk come over and go to a special menu and manually enter the card number. If Save-on either got rid of the card or made it more user friendly and consistent to scan from your phone I would be happy to give a higher rating.
I so love this grocery store.. may seem expensive but if you take advantage of the members reward card you will see more reasonable prices
Today was the last time I will probably be back to this store. Between the disaster of trying to get a rotisserie cooked chicken, and the "traffic cop" directing who was allowed to go to which cashier... not going back anytime soon.
Nice store. Is clean but cluttered. Great pharmacy. New self check outs.
Good downtown store. Just make sure to get the free rewards card.
Yo I love the big sandwiches these guys make. Generally a good greocery store, pretty chill
Great selection of: bulk items, salad and deli bar, fresh meat and fish. Unlike many other stores, this one appears to cater to the single or couples market.
Lovely place. Lots of selection. Has some things that other stores don't.
Very clean store
Really clean and well laid out. Staff seemed quite friendly and the prices were pretty good to boot.
A little pricey but I love the staff there
Everything is fresh and nice SB coffee.
good service. a bit expensive compared to other stores in area.
this save one had hot food which is cost is based on weight, it also sell fresh pizzas.
Recently Renovated to keep up with the changing grocery scene DT
Buy the stuff that gives you bonus points.
Clean store, helpful staff. The line up's were a little crazy but they seemed to move relatively quickly.
The buffet hardly looks appetizing, but the store is conveniently located
Save-on really stepped up the grocery world. They set the bar high in regards to choices. Love the pre prepped meals to take home and cook. Makes me feel like i can cook like a grown up
their soups are the best among all the grocery store (better than safeway)especially you love extra creamy and flavorful (not good for diet????)i love their thai lobster soup but i have only seen it once.
Great selection on groceries!! Wether you feel like cooking or buying ready to serve...
Very clean and open since they renovated. Love the wood stove pizza! Usually has very good produce and a great bulk selection.
Fast and easy to get help
Way to expensive
I only went here because I was at Winners. I dislike the card savings model they use and usually avoid Save-On.
Not any good selections from the deli, too much chicken, not any hot food except fries
First Tuesday of the month deals are great! And the line was completely reasonable. They had almost everything I needed, but the were a few products that were very low in stock. There also never seemed to be anyone around to ask for help. Overall great, though.
it's a great place all kind of group of ethics being employed with smile at every time they might have an issue with the fax machine if that can be looked after that will be great.
The lot is very busy here. Be careful
Very good price
Really great food prices.
everything is too expensive and their self service software is so complicated and everytime you have tp wait for staff to fix it
A great store good variety very helpful staff
Was very impressed with the variety and freshness of their deli selections. Lots of individual and family sized ready-to-eat dinner options. Even though some gentleman backed into my car and peeled off before I could get a licence #. Was worth the visit.
Best quality for the price vast selection friendly staff.
Always fresh produce and flowers for your loved ones, great for a quick to go healthy meal for us on the go workers.
Its nice
Best grocery store
Its clean. But very busy and I didn't see a lot of staff around.
Best budget grocery store for the area. Safeway gets way too expensive and this place keeps prices low.
Very pretentious, The store feels cramped and is way too expensive compared to Safeway or Sobeys. The cashiers are very rude and condescending. They do not really have the greatest selection as the store is really small and there is limited shelf space. I would not recommend this store to anyone because they would just come back to me angry and disappointed!!
Good size and has almost everything you could need! Aisles are well organized and cashiers are really nice and efficient
Good selves and fresh veggies and fruit. Reasonable prices.
Nice and clean with lots of choice.
Pricey
Great hours and location. Tons of parking. Wide variety of selection with food, household items. Self checkouts and several cashiers always open.
Newly renovated and consistent with the downtown lifestyle of the people it serves. This location has a fresh salad bar, pizzeria (complete with a legit pizza oven), and serves a lot more fresh pre-prepared delicious food. And for those who also cook for themselves (you should), it is fully stocked with everything you'd expect at a quality grocery store.
It was great, good service
Love u all , keep up the good work my people
Nice selection of groceries and everyday products. Prices are a bit higher than certain other grocery stores though
A staple of downtown YEG. Deli and bakery are really solid since the revamp a few years ago
Best save on foods in the edmonton area. Lots of grab and go foods.
Needs updating
My place to get anything and everything I really love. For a price that could satisfi any picky eater.
It has the usual stuff a grocery store has.
It's convenient but sometimes too expensive
Nice Save-On-Foods right downtown. Nice selection of grab-and-go food, both hot and cold.
Do not buy pre-bagged apples or oranges from this location. At least 1-2 mouldy or squishy items per bag since this summer. They've tried refrigerating some pre-bagged apples, but the problem persists.
Good size store
Went into the store to buy a few things, I usually walk quite a distance to get there, but I frequent this store often. Bought quite a few groceries and realized I needed to use the washroom, like it was an emergency. They told me all their washrooms were out of order, I said I was walking and it was truly and emergency. They would not allow me to use the washroom. Terrible customer service.
Good choices of food n other things for body, showers n hair. Pleasant interior
Witnessed a man with COVID-19 shopping here on 11/19/2020! Coughing fits, heavy laboured breathing, and his mask below his nose. Cashiers should get themselves tested if possible. Luckily I saw him from two aisles away.
Good quick cashiers
Always happy to shop here.????
Staff members are friendly
They have a decent amount of organic produce. Friendly service
The prices are OK. I used to have lunch there time to time and the food is good. Have a Starbucks inside, which is great for the coffee after lunch.
Great place to shop. Never had any problems.
Cheaper on most items than Safeway but watch closely.
I've always liked downtown Save on. There selection is always good. Staff are personable. There produce is good quality usually but higher in price than some other places.
My favorite grocery store to go to. Mainly because it's only one nearby that being said the staff are friendly and they are always stocked up.
Lots of stock, deals and great hours.
My favorite grocery chain by far. I particularly like their fresh produce section, it's always full.
Really neat Save on Foods. Has a very modern feel with excellent produce. Probably one of the largest grocery stores I've been in!
This is the gucci Save-On for the young and hip crowd. Overabundance of certain items that you can't find at other locations but while I was waiting for the self check out an elderly man who was having difficulty walking and holding his items asked the staff for help and she directed him to the back of a 30 person line. I heard him pleading that he could not physically stand that long and it looks like he was being honest but hey why not make an exception and let him go to customer service or cut in the heavily controlled line which was into the aisles. Thanks Karen.
This place is for Best cake ????, and Indoor Plants.
Good selection, good prices.
I don't go here often only a few times a year and never for major shopping, simply because I don't like Jimmy Patterson. Aside from that bias, the place is always easy to access and find what I'm looking for. From time to time they have very good sales, and I suppose a more diligent shopper would look for those; I do not, but I take advantage of them if they're on when I'm there.
So much stuff! Great deli and bakery here.
good size store under proper managemnet. although at night the produce sucks.
Open late, good selection of groceries.
Everyone is here and no sanitizer at the door forced.
Great place..would have given 5 stars but so many items were missing pricing. If you set up a display, whether floor, end cap, etc....make the signs before you start
This is the flagship store in Alberta for Save On. Lots of selection for the amount of space they have.
Good store, nice staff
it's pricey but it's downtown.great selection of everything teller was so nice young lady with big hole earrings that looked so awesome.and very pretty.thank you Save On Foods.a frist time for me I'll be back lol
They have great and fresh products, but little bite expensive.
Nice place but the workers are a little impatient. One of them told me to leave because they were closing in 5 minutes so i took my things to checkout but no one was there so I waited then it was closing time. I ended up leaving the groceries behind and walking away as to not stay past closing time.
Only needed a few things, popped in at a busy time and Jason, the store manager, checked me out at customer service. Fantastic!
The best cashier is Chris. He does the countdown thing and will tell you about the latest superhero movie.
Good
Probably the nicest Save-On I've been to. Great hummus selection!
Great service, busy store. I went for produce and they were low on lots, due to the busyness. Which means their produce is fresh. I like that there are self check out lanes. Pharmacy department is very helpful and friendly.
Love this grocery store. Fresh food, clean store, great customer service.
Good selection of natural foods and organic produce.
Love the food court
Great staff and prices ( on some things)
There Chinese food is great
Love Save On. Very clean. Good prices. Wife has slipped and fell twice on dirty floors at Real Canadian Superstore. Always clean at Save On.
I go here fairly frequently and my favorite stop is at the Starbucks within. Really friendly people there, plus if you buy a big pack of toilet paper, the cashier can make you a handy tape handle so you don't tear the packaging before you get it home! Plus their produce is always on point!
My local grocery store. I use it once a week or more. Friendly staff and good selection in all departments. It can get busy at peak times so I like to shop early mornings on the weekend.
Nice selection, great sammiches, and fresh goods.
Nice friendly staff. Very clean and well kept store.
Bit higher on prices than compared to other grocery centers but quality of the product is far better than compared to it's competitors. Has ample options when you are doing grocery
Great supermarket! I'm from out east, so we don't have any stores from the Overwatea group like Save-On-Foods. Great bulk foods selection, great selection of meats and charcuterie, but where this particular store really shines is in two departments - the lunch counter/bakery section (Nottingham bread is to die for, and the supermarket sushi is also great) and the great customer service.
Great prices on chicken
Busy store, centrally located. Higher priced items to comparable stores.
Good lunch food. Hand made pizza they reheat, though sometimes not long enough
It's a great store for everything you need. Kind of small bc it's downtown
You can get Dairyland milk here. Oh so good and the asparagus are normally really large.
Very clean! Large variety of hot and ready food which was delicious!
Deli is great, the butcher is awesome, produce is a little pricey, but worth it
Prices are good...... Fruit looks wonderful
Got everything I need, centrally located, and staff is friendly and helpful. but it's always packed, and there are better places if you want fresh fruit.
Great store, lots of selection. I love the flavors of the rotisserie chicken they have, especially the Peking. Overall, lots of great selection and fresh produce since they renovated!
The name says it all !!!
Awesome selection and produce is consistent, usually busy and parking lot can be a nightmare.
A fairly decent grocery store with a large selection. The produce department is hit or miss with the freshness and quality of good. The meat and seafood case is mostly just prepacked items and I rarely see anyone available at the counter. The bakery has a good selection of daily made buns and treats. Also the deli counter has a hot case with a rotation of select items. However, this are seems understaffed at times and there can be a wait to get a sandwich made or food from the hot case.
The sushi here is the best!
I don't know if they monitor this site but I like the store prices can be hit and miss from week to week . But the most irritating thing about the tillicum store is never never enough tills open .
Save on has a pretty good selection of food that you might find at more specialized places. Good cheese selection.
Place is reasonable if you shop smart you can get deals on a weekly bases. Staff is well informed and helpful. Store is clean. Great hours.
Close shopping for quick visits
awesome market feel. great selection of salad or sandwich for lunch, very fresh
Little pricy compared to Superstore but lots of great stuff.
HO HUM. NO MOBILITY CART FOR THE DISABLED SENIOR NO PARTICULAR CARING FOR THE SENIOR AND WHAT ABOUT DISCOUNTS FOR THE SENIORS .................................?
This save on is one of the best organized grocery stores around. It is clean, and if I ever have any questions, the staff take me directly to where I need to go, and tell me if there are better deals around the store on similar products! The service is great, the selection is great and everything is easy to find. I prefer coming to this one because they have the best selection in my opinion.
Best selection of gluten free bread and other GF goodies. Great customer service too.
Run of the mill grocery store
Cool
Excellent grocery store with a very solid produce section. A little above average for meat & fish, and otherwise a pretty good value in the downtown area. Can find just about anything you'll need there, and they have great staff in the pharmacy.
Love this location of Save on Foods. Produce and vegetables are always fresh and well stocked, shelves are always full, lots of selections of bread. The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location.
I liked the employees
Good prices clean store and friendly staff
Best grocery store in the central Edmonton area. They have an excellent Delhi section in particular with lots of sandwiches and hot meal options.
Good selection for a smaller save-on
I find it to be rather expensive, not as much as loblaws, but still a little 'nose in the air' in prices. Quality of and variety of products are fairly good, while the atmosphere of the place is a little pretentious, the few employees ive interacted with have been pleasant. Other than the fact I (for whatever reason) catch a vibe like they are excessively hovering around me like im going to steal something ???? which I of course never would, but it gets rather annoying ESP when they always have waaay more sketchier ppl to focus their attention on other than me.
Great place to shop for grocery needs. Service is good too. Prices are okay and very clean despite renovations going on inside.
Everything you need and so much more! Always bright clean and well stocked. The deli selection is great, hand made daily sandwiches are excellent for a quick inexpensive lunch, meat counter is great and always staffed with knowledgeable attentive staff all around. Produce section is always wonderfully stocked with great fruit and veg, also a good variety of gluten free and vegan options available as well, and of course if you need a pick me up there is a Starbucks conveniently located at the front of the store.
Always there for my groceries needs and the staff are always helpful!
Newly renovated and looks great! Quality service and products.
It's close to where I live so that's a plus
I stop in here almost everyday. With the renovations I've noticed it get a little busier, but it more than makes up for it with the wide selection of goods, the new fresh food sections, and luckily it seems most downtown Edmontonians know how to use a self-check out pretty well. Don't forget your re-usable bags when you stop in!
The selection is pretty good and they recently renovated which has made it look nice and modern. Plus it even added some features like a pizza kitchen and a Starbucks. The pizza is really good. Although the new "buffet" style lunch selection is really expensive, so be conservative when getting that.
Its all good
Kinda expensive but when you can't find it you'll find it here
Good store, great staff.
The only place to get good produce downtown. Always my first pick for groceries.
Decent shopping experience every time we go. Thanks for everything!
Good deals and always well stocked, even during sales, which is pretty impressive. It can be pretty busy though, and the store is not gigantic so it can get crowded quickly at rush hours.
Super nice. Great produce. Very clean
Its ok to do shopping when you are lazy to go to superstore, cause that's the best place for groceries, and save on foods are expensive.
Bog average supermarket.
A Little bit expensive but deli section is awesome.
I loved this store for the good products and the prices but I couldn't find Ragú spaghetti sauce. Hopefully you get that soon, in home we're fans of it.
Friendly staff. Helpful. Clean
Awesome store!
It's ok. I really like that you can get lunch buffet style with hot and cold options. Pretty good price. I usually get 10 chicken wings and a chef salad....built my way. Lots to choose from. Cheaper than fast food and healthier. Staffs ok. Not sure why people need to feel above others but it has that vibe. Busy area but it has really good access.
Need more staff
Nice place to shop during a cooking emergency. It's super pricey though.
Hate this place sometimes
A very well located store, bright lights, usually full produce and very fresh products. The only issue is the parking can be little tight for larger vehicles and fairly crowded.
I come to this one all the time. The people in the butcher section are very helpful:)
Not busy
Great place for quick grocery shopping. Fantastic staff! They are very friendly & helpful.
Is good in a pinch sugars are yum
Good selection of fruit and vegetables.. decent meat
Love it here ???? deli is always fresh!
Great location! Definitely can get busy especially on the first Tuesday of the month, but it is so helpful to have parking and groceries downtown! Fairly good selection and prices.
Beautiful bakery. Awesome deli. Fast check.out.
Had what I needed and is close to home!
The plain clothed security kid (looking to nab shoplifters) caused me problems today. He kept following me and making me feel uncomfortable. I even thought I saw him take a picture of me with his phone! For a bit, I thought he was a pervert, but when I mentioned it to the cash girl, she told me he was security.
Excellent selection, lots of Keto options, I like visiting here.
High quality products
Am I the only one thinking it's weird that you can leave a review for a grocery store? Anyways, I work near by so this is definitely one of the places I end up going to if I have no other lunch options. They have a great selection and their sushi is quite alright which is surprising (maybe more so that I rolled the dice and decided to get sushi from a grocery store but oh well). The only negative thing about this place would be that the cashiers have this habit of having long conversations with the older crowd of customers (that somehow always need to ask how much every item is)making the wait in line too long. So yeah, your average grocery store experience.
You guys have a nice organic section! I just dont recomend the meat. And you guys removed the dairyland plus 4L lactose free milk. You guys also removed the zabiha halal chicken wings! Walmart removed them and the only place i could find them was HERE! Now you removed It! The reason why i gave you four stars is the bakery! SO GOOD! I ordered a mario kart cake here and it was delicous! But please bring back my zabiha halal chicken wings back! That would make my day better when i come here to shop
Great place to get your groceries. Great environment for shopping. Good variety
Well stocked and the staff were great. My young child was in the middle of an ongoing meltdown and they were quick to provide support and empathy.
A bit of a pain to get in and out of, but the prices are decent, location itself is good, and the staff are hard working.
It's always clean, but I wish they had more cuts of beef or baby potatoes in bulk.
Don't ever forget your card you save a ton .
Are you crazy? Twix for 4.9$ when it's 3 $ in Dolarama? 3 $ for rice cakes when it's 1.7$ in Superstore? Swiss chocolate is 9 $ when it's 5$ in Superstore. You are all crazy who shop in this store.
Favourite grocery chain, big fan of all the fresh/prepared food at their deli.
Favorite grocery store and location. Great stadf, fresh produce and always stocked!
One of the best Save-On foods, very good selection of hot and cold food and ready to eat meals. Anyone that works on this side of downtown should get familiar with the good choices here, lots of alternatives to dining out at a restaurant.
This seems to be the flagship Save-On-Foods downtown if not generally in Edmonton, though it's not the cheapest place to shop, depending what you buy. Still, excellent meat, fish and produce, and many high end and obscure items. Don't go on the first Tuesday of the month unless a couple dollars off purchases over $50 is worth an hour of your time to stand in line.
Really good store that has expanded and modernized well.
Staff and store dont seem to have much prevention or anything in place for covid, buisness as usual, if you care.
This is the save on foods I go to. I like go to the deli for my essentials and quick stuff I need. I miss the square cakes ????
I literally just had to wait 20 minutes to check through at 4:30 on a Friday pretty much terrible service
Which their store was closer to home love shopping there
It's far better then Safeway
I sure did
Awful! The girl at the checkout counter was so rude! She was leaning against the till and was so loud with me. I asked a question about some of the products and their rewards card and she was just so mean. I walked out so upset. She embarrassed me in front of the other customers simply because I asked about their reward program. It's the closest grocery store to my apartment (walking distance) and I drive to others just so I can avoid seeing her again.
just bought a ham and swiss sandwich and its pretty damn good man. Really feeling the vibe of this ham and swiss right now. Edit: I actually threw the sandwich up about 30 minutes later so I guess I was wrong all along. 2/5.
Save on foods you no longer save on foods at all there anymore since the past couple of months they are now extremely expensive they have raised there over all prices by 42% and some how conceal it within there receipts????
Of all the grocery stores in my area, we prefer this one. Though I like them better, when it was Overweightea Doesn't have as much popular asian foodstuffs, as Fairway. Overall , though, gets our bucks.
Very nice environment. Price is not the best comparing to places like superstore and Walmart. Great service. I noticed a price discrepancy and was given a $25 discount for a $44 item.
Only went there due to Uptown having no power last weekend.
Got all my groceries but they need more tellers I don't work for Save on so why should I ring up my purchases and bag them myself.
Love the store hours
(Translated) All kinds of goods are complete; vegetables and fruits are relatively new. The price is reasonable, suitable for the daily needs of the public; and more convenient. it is good (Original) 各種货物齐全;蔬菜瓜果比較新。价格合理,适合大眾日常所需;并且较方便。好
Definitely one of the better grocery stores in Victoria. Good deals, helpful staff, and a fairly large selection.
A bit more expensive, and it doesn't seem to have outstanding freshness/quality to justify the price. The checkout area is kind of cramped. Otherwise, it's not bad.
My second favorite grocery store
Nice and bright, lots of alternative options, bakery/deli/produce appear to have the lion's share of the store so aisles are a little cramped but not impassable. Staff is pretty fantastic - helpful and quick. Prices often higher than other grocery stores but location can make up for it on smaller trips.
Pretty standard save on. Good selection, good produce.
Only place to find decent steaks
I don't go here often, but when I do, it's usually a pleasant enough shopping experience. Everything is laid out fairly well, and it's not too hard to find things. Staff are very capable and helpful. The check-out lines are handled well, any time I've been there. Can't think of any qualms with the store, really, beyond the feeling that everything is priced a bit high.
They just renovated and it is nice here. Good crowd.
The commercial says they go the extra mile and the staff really do they are helpful when you have questions and ask if they can help you. Another thing the store has going for it is the Mores reward card that links to your home number or for you tech saavies an app on your phone.
I would really love to love this store as it usually carries items I love and it's close to me, but as of 5pm today, they are out of common items like yogurt and juice and this is unsurprisingly common. I'd almost want to call it a Russian store and that's really unfortunate given its ideal location. It's frustrating to make multiple trips (and especially as I'm not buying in big quantities).
It's ok.
The cleanest, most picture perfect grocery store I have EVER been in. The most impressive butcher counter and service ever too ????
Basic grocery store. They expanded in 2016 adding a Starbucks (makes no sense as there is one in the same parking lot) and a bigger selection of food. You pay a premium because it's downtown.
Great curbside delivery. They do a good job on your order.
Sometimes they have good deals but often the products are close to their expiry date, so checking dates on everything is a must. Otherwise they have Matthew the cashier he always makes me laugh.
The place is clean, employees are ready and in good moods to help us out.
Easy to navigate in store. When asking for help, the staff is more than ready to help with any questions you may have. Went to the pharmacy here for my flu shot and the pharmacist was very friendly and thorough. The food from the kitchen area is pretty good for buffet style - super quick and easy and you pay by how much you take.
Close to downtown. The store is small but gives you all the necessary items and much more natural selection then even some of the bigger stores in the city. Staff are nice and helpful. Produce manager also wrapped our flowers for us which was great to see as it shows management and employees do there best to help the customers and provide excellent service.
Great deli! Staff are always very friendly. Easy to get to by driving, walking, or public transit. Great flower selection too
Too soon to tell whether I like it or not. It's just a grocery store. Customer service was average.
Amazing selection and offers many unique grocery options. Staff is generally helpful.
Often understaffed
Best run flagship store of the Edmonton Save on Foods stores despite it's smaller layout. Every little food item and obscure food item always in stock even on a 15% off sale. The produce staff are top notch and always there to help you out or give you ideas. The staff are freaking awsome.
Lots of Great hot items ready for lunch and supper
Soooooo expensive. But it's a good last resort since its close
Nice a quiet monday morning. Sitting in the cafe at the front entrance enjoying a sandwich and a drink.
Free loyalty card that is activated instantly and provides discounts and bulk benefits, plentiful availability of items, friendly staff
Great Savings !
I am so glad they are open until 11PM! It is very convenient!
They're finishing up renovations now but they've done a great job and made it much more upscale. Good selection of produce, not always amazing though. Great selection of ready made hot meals.
You can find more choices here.
Very friendly staff
This store doesn't enforce mask wearing and lets its customers use racial slurs against other customers without repercussions. Shop somewhere else.
The food from the eating area was pretty good, the store is well taken care of and staffed, no complaints here!
We'll stocked store as you would expect. Good bakery and deli counter.
Just a grocery store. I have to get food somewhere.
Save on foods is a nice clean grocery store with all the products you need and at a good price, and also great people who work there
Excellent service and selection
Nice place, some prices are exaggerated compared to others places but good enough
Very poor cashier ....he wasn't a normal person.when I was looking for some changes he put his hand in my wallet.I paid all fast as I could. It is good to know cashier is the most important part of a store, but unfortunately you faild today.
I've been acquiring my Groceries at this store for about four years now. They have a large selection of vegetables, meats and pastries. The store is always well organized, clean and tidy. On the first Tuesday of every month they offer 15% discount on purchases above $50 or a large amount of points. During that promotional day the store can be pretty busy with long waits and product shortages. Overall a great customer service experience with many long time associates and some rotation.
Good selection, price on certain things is good, but a lot of high priced items in comparison to other chains. Some of their "card" pricing is a regular price elsewhere.
Good place for groceries and daily needs
When I first moved here a year ago, i couldn't get over how expensive SaveOn is, and so I shopped mainly at Wal-Mart and Dans Farm for a few pieces to my vegan keto diet. But, I noticed the veggies from walmart were leaving me with an empty feeling. It was like putting something in my belly that fooled my system into thinking i ate but there were little to no nutrients, and i was feeling really run down and sluggish. I also noticed that whenever i boiled or steamed the veggies the water was a very dark green! I decided to bite the bullet and go back to save on, yes the price is high, but the food leaves you feeling good, and the water barely has any bit of green tint to it, which makes me feel like maybe walmart sprays a green dye on their veggies to keep them looking fresh!
Great store
Easier to walk through quicksand than through aisles here at 12pm and 5pm
Convenience location, fresh fruit and vegetables , variety selection nice display and reasonable price
Lots of parking and a very good selection of what ever you are looking for. Very courteous and friendly staff.
<3 Love this place. The staff is super helpful, the produce is good, and the price matching system is awesome. I don't have to go anywhere but my local saveon
It's Save-On-Foods worth it to be a member
Huge store. Big fresh deli selection!
I bought a bag of salt and Vinegar ruffles with alot of other groceries, got home to try them and the whole bag tasted stale and old. I went back and explained and showed my receipt. I asked for an exchange of my bag for another of the same type and at first got a little resistance but the evening manager understood and gave me my exchange without any problems. I am home now and my chips taste great and how they should. I am a happy customer :)
On the pricy side but pretty good range. Veggies usually nice.
Somewhat convenient cause it stays open an hour later than the other local grocery store. But nothing in the way of organics or healthy foods. So . . .meh
Karen is the best cashier ever. She is so friendly and happy all of the time. I always try to find her :)
Generally I find the prices on the high side, but they always have some really good sales on
Water machine water has chlorine in it.gross!!!!!!!! Not reverse samosis
I often shop at the 109 street and Jasper location, and really enjoy it. The store is clean and tidy. The music on the PA is to my liking and staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. The fresh produce looks appealing and better than at other grocery stores. The downside for me is the shopping carts get locked up at 9 p.m. - one hour before closing, and the fresh meat display cases get emptied, at 9 p.m. as well. There are other amenities within this shopping area and it's on a bus route.
????????
Really disappointed about the lack of customer service. They recently installed the quarter pay for carts which I thought was bad timing during covid as most people don't expect it and have to go to customer service for a quarter that's been touched by many people. I voiced that opinion in a very kind matter as it's obviously not their choice to install them, but the women working the desk seemed to take is a personal attack and were extremely rude and defensive, once I walked away I heard them say "oh my god" behind my back which really upset me, so I gave the quarter back and left. I grew up in the area and have shopped at this location for my entire life. Unfortunately will not be going back because if this.
Save-On-Foods is okay you need to watch their prices however some of their things are severely overpriced I went to buy a rutabaga and they wanted to charge me $16 for it . I usually buy them for $4 to $5 . then you have to watch some of the multipacks they might sell a six-pack of something but it works out the buying six individuals is cheaper than the multi-pack . I don't like what they did with the point award system they got rid of the little catalogue where you could select different items, to getting services however most of the services they offer are BC related businesses and not Albert problem is I live in Alberta so that Sucks.
Great place to get fresh groceries and fruits and supplies.
Fails to abide by city ordnances around masking, fails to deal with customers who refuse to wear masks. Anywhere else that considers your safety first would be a better place to shop.
Makes me pay for bags....need a card to get savings...overall nothing special
Love doing most of my food shopping here. There's always sales to save on the stuff I need, friendly workers, free fruit for my son from the customer service while we shop around
The new assistant manager (Davin or whatever) is obnoxious, rude, and pompous. I do not understand how he got the position, but he clearly doesnt deserve it.
I had a bad experience at this store. The cashier who checked my out did not give me time to pack my groceries prior to helping the next customer (the store was not busy and the cashier appeared annoyed I had my own bags) The customer behind me started grabbing his items and we were not able to maintain social distancing as a result. I expressed my discomfort the cashier took no action to correct this except for offering unfeeling automatic 'sorry.' I sent this information to their customer service and the response I received from the store manager was underwhelming and did not show he took Covid safety measures seriously. I have not returned to this store since and will keep to my local store, Vic West as their staff and manager (who I have spoken too several times regarding the covid measures) have demonstrated they are consistently taking measures to keep everyone safe during this uncertain time (Global pandemic)
Excellent selection of everything but prices seemed a little high.
Good customer service..
It's a great place to shop. It looks nice inside and has places to buy hot food as well!
This grocery store is the dopest of grocery stores. Selection is pretty standard they have a decent meat and cheese deli section and lots of good quality ready to eat stuff if ur on the go. Asian section is a bit lacking but to be expected for a store of this size. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TOP NOTCH though. They really take care of you. There's one lady who's super slow though. If you are in a hurry you should avoid her but if you've got the time and you are looking for a bit of a chat, for see her. I'm at this store 3 or 4 times a week.would recommend
Seems like there isn't much real food here
It's a place that I have always shopped at The one on " 82nd & 112th Edmonton.AB. Staff top notch people Full deli, pharmacy, Bakery One Stop Shop!!
Save-On-Foods has great produce and meats, but what I love the most is their bakery. They make a honey wheat bread that is to die for. Great grocery store for downtowners.
Love Save-On, reasonably priced Vegan food???? Good variety good hours good access. The Staff is always friendly at the Jasper Ave location, sometimes there seems to be a lot of them stocking during busy times but that is a price we pay for good selection.
Great selection, lots of local options, but prices tend to run higher
Good selection but very over priced. Avoid it at lunch hour it gets the downtown work crowd and is impossible
Great place to buy grocery nd other ready to eat food items
I'm not sure how many stars to give, but there was a little more "protein" than I was hoping to see in your bakery section today. Ideally next time I visit there won't be any rodents bolting around inside the bread display!
Great staff and excellent selection but a little dirty.
Super friendly staff and love the United Kingdom items pricing is fare.
채소나 과일들이 싱싱하고 전반적으로 깨끗한 인상을 줍니다. 셀프 계산대가 있어서 편리합니다. 가격면은 다른곳에 비해 저렴한디는 잘 모르겠네요..
I like the seating area with plug-ins. Very handy for a break.
Public health disasters: Signs pointing in opposite directions at one-way aisles. Employees contradicting each other about health guidelines. Employees' masks not fully covering noses or mouths. Employees not respecting 6 foot distance from customers. Go to Safeway or Lucky97 instead.
Great grocery store
Friendly
I am so impressed with the florist, Jamie, at the Tillicum Save-On Foods! I went in there today with a $10 bouquet my fiancé brought home for me on Friday night that had died in only two days! He buys flowers from there pretty often (I am a lucky girl, I know) and they look healthy for at least a week. I didn't have a receipt (...typical guy throwing it out) and absolutely no questions asked she tossed it in the garbage, grabbed a huge bouquet with a similar color scheme, asked me if I liked it and responded, "I am so sorry about that! It must've got missed when they inspected the bouquets". I told her I was more than thrilled with a bouquet at the equivalent price but she insisted on sending me home with this beautiful $29 bunch! The customer service blew me away! Thank you Jamie, thank you Save On Foods ????????
Enjoy chicken pot pie. Good price.
I like this store and shop here often. I'm loving the online order pick ups too.
Prices are right and most of the time you find good deals. Friendly and good service.
Please update pharmacist photos please. I love ice cream sandwiches and watermelon.
Love their chicken ???? and yum fries as well as the overall shop cleanliness but just hate the fact that they closed customer washroom that really socks I think it should be open and sanitized every 20 minutes
couldn't find somethings, tried to ask the employees but there were none in the store except for cashiers, didn't bother trying customer service as there is a long line and only one employee was there to help
The cashier scanned the tomatoes at the till before i can say price match. He had to redo scan again. I understand being lecture once about telling them ahead of time wanting to do price match but I don't need to be lecture twice right to my face the second time and being talked down too. I dont appreciate hostility of the cashier.
Overall this location is good but this past week I purchased two dairy products (yogurt & milk) found out both products was expired when I brought it home, I took it back with the receipt the same day and customer service exchanged it. I suggest the Manager in the dairy Dept should be doing their due diligence so this doesn't inconvenience other customers
Ty is the best deli worker he’s great
It's a grocery store, don't know what else to say
Regular chain store downtown Edmonton. You know exactly what you getting there. Free parking is a plus in this busy part of the city.
The selection is good, store is always clean & well organized, but it's the staff that always keep me coming back. From the deli, to the checkout staff, everyone really knows how to make a shopping experience top notch.
I hate grocery shopping
Staff are arrogant at the help desk prepare to be talked down to. Horrible company over priced stock.
Great place to shop
Good selection, average prices, stellar employees. Everyone here always seems happy to go out of their way to help, and whenever I walk in I always see employees laughing and joking with each other. It just has a really great atmosphere. Otherwise, there isn't a ton to differentiate it from other grocery stores. But I'd prefer to give my business to a company that treats its staff well.
Long lime up and the delivery say between 6 to 7 haven’t resumed it might me lost
...I'm 3 days away on Vancouver Island, so I was SO thankful to your Floral Department, in getting a bouquet of flowers to family in Edmonton Hospital. Exactly what I ordered, exactly on time, exactly right price. THANK YOU. GREAT JOB !
Great selection!
Used to be a Safeway and I enjoy it now just as much as I enjoyed it then. Fresh produce and freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and pies. Can always find items on sale as well as an excellent deli, sandwich, soup and salad selection. Always fresh, healthy portions and great service.
Its alright. From the east coast. Reminds me of a small Loblaws
Good selection... Friendly staff
Always clean, stuff is always in stock, the produce section is great, and the employees tend to be helpful and friendly
Definitely a business that shows that customers come first! Great staff, who are funny and make the drown experience of grocery shopping enjoyable.Met a wonderful young fellow, the other day, who was telling me he just started there! His name was kyle, a very ambious young man, that cared about me being his customer! You've hired a fine young man, thanks Kyle for making my shopping time, just grand..hope you serve me in the future!! Your parents must be proud!
Good friendly service, very helpfull, $$.
Good deals and short lines
The staff are great ( hi Laura)
I like coming to this location. I have been to a few others. But I notice this place has better choices for fresh food. Maybe because of the lunch crowd. It has everything you need.
Just the right spot to buy food for family great prices.
The meats and bread are amazing! Customer service is great too
I have been shopping here since I moved downtown 4 years ago. Lately I've noticed that the bananas are ALWAYS green, even on a Saturday afternoon. I now go to Safeway for my bananas.
Very nice service
Love this store Great customer service and thank you
Incredible staff at the butcher shop.
Prices are a bit on the higher side than other grocery stores for produce (may be due to the location), but the location is super accessible for me. The remodel does add a lot more appeal to the location. As for the ready made food, I have tried the sushi (bad and likely wont ever get it again) and a sample of the pizza (tasted pretty good).
Wow some of the employé should just do there job went through this one line up and all she did was talk to a guy that just came back from his trip she kept on talking to him she didn't ring up some of his order he had to tell her that the stuff was his quite that yaker that Karen was i"m never going to her line up ever again
Excellent staff always willing to help
Good deals
not happy. their deli (and now that I'm walking around most food) is more expensive or same price as planet organic for the normal foods that's saying something. It doesn't seem as home after renovation. more oppressive atmosphere somehow, I don't really like it. okay they completely obliterated any selection of non dairy foods.. down to one brand of "butter" and one kind of 'yogert" I'm definitely shopping Not here anymore.
Pretty good grocery store. Super friendly staff. The lady at the deli counter always gives me meat samples and suggestions, for my never ending journey to make the ultimate sandwich. Speaking of, they have a large selection of cheeses and lots of different fresh baked bread options. One thing I've noticed about every save on foods is that the staff all seem really happy and eager. I think they get treated pretty well. It makes grocery shopping a very pleasant experience.
Well laid out. Good produce section and bakery.
During a stay in Edmonton in November 2018, I stopped by this Save-On-Foods to buy some basic grocery supplies for my hotel room so as not to get sick of eating out everyday. I found this grocery location to be clean and well-organized. Produce looked fresh. Staff members were friendly. I was however, a bit disappointed with some of the products I purchased. I bought some olives from the produce area, “western family” (store) brand hummus and Havarti cheese from the store’s deli and none of them tasted good to me so I ended up throwing them away at my hotel. But, a some of the other things I bought were alright such as apples, carrots, diet soft drinks, etc.
This is a nice store of a very convenient size. You don't get tired too much walking among the aisles and back. Everything is easy to find and they have a nice variety of fruits and vegetables at reasonable, cheaper than Safeway or some other stores prices. Their variety of meats is not so good, but they have quite a few types of fresh fish always available. Milk section looks good too and they carry goat milk. They also have a nice gluten free baking secton. Overall, I like this store for its size, convenience and very home-type atmosphere. They also have lots of nice flowers always in the front.
Produce had a wonderful and fresh selection.
A very Clean shopping store, plus the staff were very helpful when I asked some questions. Nice.
Great location if youf needing to pick up groceries in the downtown core has free wifi and a rest area for shoppers and non shoppers alike which is very refreshing but on the down side can get really busy depending on time of day and if your a smoker and are trying to buy smokes in the semi attatched smoke shop fingers crossed you are not there during one of the rushes because u can be waiting awhile and one more downfall is the new updated belcony that they put upstairs that looks over the store feels like workers are eyeing your every move which they most likly are if u look up i know its for security reason but makes a person shopping there and not stealing feel on edge which makes you want to rush your shopping experiance here
There are awesome points offers available here every week!
Always really clean with a great selection of produce. Sometimes pharmacy staff can come off as impatient but overall a really great grocery store.
They price match
I have an enjoyable time the employees are very helpful when I ask for products they show me exactly where the items are 5 stars
As much as I appreciate chit chat with the cashier, Chris is taking it too far. Literally couldn't be any slower.
Bigger than Langford, same great service. A little bit stricter with the SDing. No wing bar. Masks are about control; masking has nothing to do with anybody's health. Ask yourself why you trust the government. The government doesn't care about you, or anybody. Rules are for us, not for them. They break their own rules at every chance they get. Think about it, before it is too late. The masking 'mandates' are NOT law, and any laws written that infringe on the rights and freedoms of Canadians, as set out in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, are null and void. The masks are a way to show the government how many people willingly comply with the 'mandates' without doing just the tiniest bit of research. I love Save-on-Foods, but if you are only saving your jobs, you are part of the problem, and the longer you wait, the more difficult a solution will be, if there even is one now. Look up Agenda 2030 and decide for yourself which side of history you are going to be on. Also Google Agendas 21, 2025, 2045, and 2060. It's NOT about your health. It IS about control.
Very odd lay out. The staff seemed to hate their workplace. The two staff members I asked for help couldn't be bothered to assist
Expensive grocery store with some what good merchandise. Better places to shop
Busy urban centre grocery store and pharmacy. Very good looking produce.
Great experience. The staff are all super helpful and seem to love working there, which was very uplifting to see. Good selection of high quality foods.
Despite having a huge number of people cycle through each day, they still sell bread that is days old and closer to expiration than to the day it is on offer. Every single time I have bought meat here, it was brown underneath the label. I simply don't buy their meat anymore because of that. Other than these points, the store is small and cramped. Even during the peak hours, they will have staff with huge carts loading new items in, but causing huge bottlenecks and problems for customers trying to walk around. Overall, the store has too many things blocking traffic. Finally, I went to a Safeway on another side of town and realized how much I was routinely being gouged at Save-On downtown for certain products - the prices are significantly higher just because we live downtown.
Nice store to shop. Quality products.
Delivery services are so good :)
Busy but produce is usually fresh and the store is bigger than before
Affordable prices. A very good buffet.
Central location with great options for lunch. Lots of ready to eat items including a hot food bar!
Great service for outside pickup
Service is good. Veggies are always fresh
I shopped at 3pm on a Saturday. Produce was not appealing and the prices were above average. A lot of empty bins in the produce section. Bakery was a little better although still a lot of empty spaces. Most of the bakery flyer items were out of stock and the clerk didn't know when they would be filled. Deli service clerk gave great customer service and the department was well stocked. Two clerks in the grocery isle were laughing/talking about a customer's "stupid" question... Loudly. Self checkout clerk was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, I had to go elsewhere to find the remaining items on my list.
The staff here are always so nice! I enjoy being able to buy fresh products at great prices.
I bought onion rings from your deli section and The whole Box was an edible It tastes like it's been sitting there for hours and hours it was so dry I threw away the whole Box and if those the standards that you eyes have for your deli products that's disgusting
Quite busy and pricing is high. Quick through the tills
I used to come here for lunch. But the last time I was here I asked if I could buy a whole chicken but cut up in to quarters. The lady behind the counter said yes, bit a problem. But I had to wait. I said that was fine. I ended up waiting for about 15 mins. The lady and another staffer seemed free. They weren't doing anything. So I asked politely again and The Lady said she was busy and walked away leaving me with the other staffer. The other staffer reluctantly got a chicken and exaggerated cutting it. After he handed me the bag he held it up to hand it to me, but he held on tightly and said " anything else you want?" I said no and he let go. I haven't been back since.
Highly convenient location right in the centre of Edmonton's most busy area. Reasonable prices and free parking is provided right at the front door. Bakery in store. Always well managed.
small and busy
Convenient location with lots of parking, also fairly accessible on foot for downtown dwellers. Prices are a bit high, but the store is generally always well-stocked and the service is good.
I went to this location last night and it was very very busy. Way too many people. I waited in line for 20 minutes and one of the staff came up to us and said that we would be the last people as the cashiers shift is almost over. After that I was the next person up, and I went to walk up the cashier looked at me turned the numbered light off and walked away. I had to explain to the 5 people behind me that the cashier had left and we had to wait in another line. Definitely will not be coming back here.
Best save on around . I drive from st albert due to the fresh food and heathier options
Good location to have in the downtown core providing a nice variety of household items.
Wholesome store, wholesome people, good prices. Not perfect, but nothing is! ????
Their cashier Chris went out of his way to make sure I got all my products on discount. He was super friendly, double bagged everything as he knows what goes through and what doesn't. Love this place, if only they were actually full of more deals.
What's not to like? It's one of the only actual Canadian grocery store chains that doesn't pretend they are by flying a Canadian flag outside.
Nice people
Good shopping! :-)
Helpful staff, great pharmacy, produce and meat is quite good. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes run low on stock, especially late in the evenings.
This is my place. I'm loyal to this store and would drive however far to get there. Best Service. ...Fresh Food...great Bakery...and High Fibre Bread! What's not to love?
Great service and people. Every time I’ve had an interaction here with staff they have provided me with that at home feeling. You can tell there is lots of regulars that go out of their way to just come to this store because I always see the employees talking to many people on a first name basis, which really makes you feel like they care about you and your day.
Awesome staff!
None of the staff wears a mask. They will even break social distancing and come close to you to talk to you. Almost none of the customers wear a mask either. No hand sanitizer at the door.
Good
NOT SAFE! This store has so many customers not wearing masks. The cashiers even allow unmasked customers too close while groceries are being packed. Today i told the cashier to ask customer to back up-he didn't do it. This was after waiting over 15 min. to get thru the so called express lane. The parking lot is poorly designed and sometimes difficult to get out due to back-ups and being blocked. Also they have now put pay slots on the grocery carts! I'm wondering what else they can do to make this a more miserable experience? Anyway i'll never know 'cause i'm never shopping here again. My life is worth more than this.
Quality products but how come even with the card, everything is more expensive than Fairway down the street? Left and went there.
Located inside a strip mall, lots of products and this place gets busy on the weekend. I suggest to shop on the weekdays hefe if you can
The only place downtown with jumbo eggs
Great location. Very large store, hard to navigate
Best BBQ chicken on the Island
Good ol Save On. Pretty standard, nothing to complain about
I am a big fan of Save-on-Foods. I can always find what I'm looking for there. They always ask me if I found what I needed and if I couldn't they take note and do their best to get it in their store. The staff there are always polite and courteous. It is also wheelchair accessible.
Fair prices I shop there for food the most
Great prices but I find the produce doesn't last long.
Great place to shop!
Got alot of good bargains.
This store isn't observing public health measures and it allows anti-maskers to freely roam the store. Prices are also high compared to near by Safeway and Loblaws
First time at this location. Was not a fan of having to pay for a shopping cart, most Save On Foods locations don't do this, however it makes sense for this location due to the number of homeless people in the area. I was here for 15% Tuesday, which is the first Tuesday and busiest day of every month. The store was busy but easy to move around in and get shopping done quickly. Lots of great deals in the bakery and deli. Produce looked fresh and fully stocked, and the staff were friendly. Meat and seafood department appeared to be well managed, every section was stocked fully and was fresh. Cashiers and customer service were busy and did a great job at assisting customers and keeping the lines moving. Very nice store and I recommend shopping here. Lance Bell is a solid Store Manager
food
Most things are reasonably priced only if you get their free points card
Very clean and lots of great groceries on sale! Usually a bit crowded but loves seeing other people what they are buying so i can try something new too.
It is a great store with everything you need sandwich, fast good, Vegetables, fresh fruit, meats, milks, eggs, breads, desserts abd more including farmacy, great prices and a pleasant atmosphere.
The staff is really good, the pricing of some items could be better, but that's fine. Overall a good place
Except for the relatively high prices for fruit and vegetables... excellent. The pharmacy and workers..no complaints. Pudding pie is way too expensive.
Best save on in town. Fantastic customer service, good produce, excellent meat counter and cashiers are prompt and courteous. Would tip if I could.
Usually pretty good except I almost got hit by one of their supply trucks in the parking lot. I talked to the manager and he was nice and seemed like he was going to try and figure it out. But the driver was not looking towards the cross walk at all, if i didn't scream stop I don't think the driver would of, and if the driver is green then they should have someone guiding them out.
Decent selection but more expensive than some other grocery stores. Not bad overall.
A little expensive but have a great variety of groceries
Little pricey. Has a Starbucks.
Fine grocery store.
My go to store for produce, meat and bakery
Goods prices and fresh products
Save On Foods generally is cleaner than other grocery stores, and offers more fresh produce, which I believe is their biggest strength. I would definitely recommend them for traditional grocery shopping. With that said, there were a number of pain points in the online shopping experience. To list a few: 1. You have to set your pickup location in your user profile or in the main menu of the website. I suppose you don't switch stores very often, but the fact that you cannot set the pickup location in the checkout screen is very counter-intuitive. 2. The website keeps asking me to log-in with Facebook when I am already logged-in with my email. Every software has bugs, so I understand this one to an extent, but log-in is something so basic and obvious... and I feel like they should have tested this better. 3. The website gives you the ability to edit your order, which basically dumps everything in the order back to your cart and cancels the order. It took me a while to understand what they did, because the website did not show me a warning message or anything. I clicked the 'edit' button and it just happened. It would've been nice to be asked to confirm my action and perhaps an explanation as to what will happen. 4. They gave me wrong items when I went to pickup my order, and I had to go back to the store and went through a painfully confusing/long process of getting my items exchanged. Going to the store twice isn't ideal, but I understand people make mistakes... I just wish they had a system in place to be able to easily reverse such mistakes.
Very good fresh hot food.
The quick & easy hot food bar is amazing!
Great place to shop!
Great store
I go to this branch of Save on Foods often because I live a few blocks from there. Unfortunately, they do not have washrooms for customers. To be more precise, they have two washrooms but they have been out of order for many months (probably, more than one year).
Worst pharmacy service. The counter was left unattended for a huge line to form. No pharmacist bothered to look up and help out at the pick up counter to get it moving. Go to a different pharmacy..any other one
This is not the first time I came here, but this is the first time when I giving review on a supermarket. This place is outstanding the place having more than enough stuff and other accessories for your home. Must recommend!
It is not my favourite store, because they trying to sell their stuff with cheating price tag to sell pricy thing.it is not nice. Change your way.
Great customer service. Clean, nice store.
A fine brick and mortar grocery store but abhorrent online service. Use another grocery store for your online needs.
Fine, but I prefer a local grocery store compared with this huge company.
Good prices on bulk foods, milk, caned items, lotto, etc. Has a pharmacy, full deli, bakery, meat and fish market. NOT a good place to buy produce. Sometimes you may stumble upon a sale, but not often.
Had the best time of my life ever EVER in regards to customer service your girl at the cash register named angie is dope af she hooked us up FAAAAAATTTT homie definitely posting for my eats forever. Thanks angie we luh YOU cuh
I have been to this store so many times and always received a friendly service but today I had the worst experience, cashier was not smiling at all and she was very very rude. Never understand how some people are in customer service and don't even know how to talk politely.
Best place I've shopped at
Worst grocery store in the city,by far
Cleaning the hand-held carts would be nice. Bacteria cultures where we put our food? Cleaning them once a month would even help. And the prices are high, but theyre high at every Save On.
Was disappointed to discover that the cash component of self-serve remained unserviceable today. It is at least the third time in the past month that this transaction point was not functioning. When I asked the attendant when it would be repaid, she indicated that the service technician was on site to remedy the mal-function. Interesting that it has taken this amount of time to work on solving the mal-function without success to date … perhaps a new technical contract is in order, or an alternate self-checkout model should be considered, or best of all, how about removing the self-service checkout and install real customer service checkouts with real humans …. Products left behind for staff to re-stock. Grateful for the likes of Fairway, Country Grocer and Thrifty who all offer personable customer service while Save On tries to get its act together . . . Update 27 Nov - Stopped by Save-On today only to discover self-checkout remediation remains incomplete … I am thinking this is part of Save-On Foods strategy to reduce/eliminated cash sales and cause all sales to be processed on plastic … Suppose I will go else-where if that is the case.
One of the last non crazy retailer mandating masks, only complaint is the passive aggressive hand written signage from management.
Standard chain grocery store. Always check for flyers for coupons/specials when visiting. If security personnel are active in the parking lot, the shopping experience is fine.
Clean and well stocked. Very convenient for grabbing lunch or fresh veggies before going home. Prices are on the high side but if convenience outweighs cost, this place is for you.
I have always enjoyed the staff at this store and they have the best selection of sushi :)
Great place to shop for quality food.
The service was great, the store was clean and the bakery has a good selection of items that are safe for people that have a peanut allergy.
"Going the extra mile" is the slogan..... unless you need another cashier
Such a pleasant shopping experience! The staff are always super friendly and helpful.
Average service, more expensive prices but what can you expect from a grocery store in the middle of down town.
Great shopping!
I think is better option than Walmart
You might expect the only grocery store that services the downtown core area to be impossibly busy and frustrating, but this location runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is friendly, the cashiers move quickly and there are usually samples in the deli. The store's recent renovation allows for even more products available, better lighting and a buffet-style counter in the hot food section.
Really like the renovated store and the Starbucks and the new deli items. I work downtown and mostly come in at noon for lunch or after work to grab something for supper. Staff have alwars been friendly and helpful, but in the last few months i have noticed the staff dont seem as happy or to be having fun. Bring the fun environnent back.
Very good selection of foods meat and vegetables
Close to home. Easy shopping.
Not perfect but perfect doesn't exist. Friendly staff, reasonable quality, fair price and community oriented.
I just found a black hair in my sandwich from the deli. Never again will I buy from there
I love shopping here. Thank you to the amazing staff for keeping everything going so smoothly. You are the best!!
Consistently excellent customer service. Prices are pretty good when competitor's' prices are considered.
Buy especially the stakes the economy top I bought some and They were very tough
Excellent customer service.
Save on foods was great
Has a really great sushi bar, just make sure it was made on the same day. Can get pretty busy during the lunch rush but has plenty of self-checkouts to handle it
As always, this is a warm and friendly place to shop. Staff is never far when I need assistance.
I enjoy shopping for groceries here. I like the deals they have, sweet.
Good place to grab lunch if you work downtown. Produce is fresh, high turnover, friendly staff. Sometimes is really busy though, long lineups even though all tills are open.
Honestly, I am not knocking this specific Save On but Save On in general. I order food for delivery from this location and by proximity it is the Save On at Tillicum. I do this because I don’t have a car and it is convenient for when I need large items. They give you a 2 hour window and someone will drop your items off. Firstly, the sale items aren’t always on sale when they check the items out. If you order your items on Wednesday the window time for delivery is for the next day but they won’t honour sale items the next day even though you put your order in expecting those sale items. I think this is horrible. People who use your delivery service are usually the ones who don’t have a vehicle or are elderly. They are already most likely dealing with money issues. Not offering them the sale price is misleading and bad practise. If I order my groceries on Wednesday then the sale items for that day should be honoured. Secondly, I ordered from these guys and they didn’t show up during the window time of 7am-9am. I sat around waiting and not till 9:15am did they call me to tell me that they would not be delivering. I ended up being late for work because of this. It was a snowy day in Victoria so I understand that they could not deliver but it snowed for two days before that and feel that they could have given more warning. When I called back to reschedule they could not deliver at all that day and then could not honour the time I asked for the next day saying that all the times from 7am-11am were full. There were no other times that would work for me because I am working but could have someone around till 12pm at the house that day for delivery. They said they could only do a 2hr window from 11am-1pm and could not accommodate the driver to be there before 12pm. They really tried nothing to help me out. They also did not offer a discount or wave the delivery fee which varies from 6-15 dollars. My order from the day previous was 10 dollars and they did not even offer to waive the fee because of their screw up. I understand that weather can be a problem and that it is uncontrollable but not even trying to help the situation and solve the problem is unacceptable. There are other places that deliver food and I would go with them. I ended up having to cancel my order because expecting to have my food by the morning of Tuesday and not being able to get it until Thursday or Friday is bad customer service. Unimpressed to say the least.
pricy
Great store with friendly staffs !
Can get really busy but the products they sell are always good and their staff are usually friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoy their hot meal options when I don't pack a lunch.
No hand sanitizer at the front door. Even though its legally required that grocery stores have it at every entrance and exit during these times. Plus theres a bulk bin full of candy in produce. Not allowed to sell bulk items right now but I guess the need to sell candy out ways the need for health and saftey.
Nice place for grocery shopping. Affordable prices.
Very good selection of hot and cold foods in the deli and a wide variety of produce. Exceptional selection of bulk goods. High quality meats and a great selection of frozen products.
A Good Place to shop.
Good
The clerk tried to add an extra charge to my grocery bill to round it up, I said no but she went ahead anyway. It took several minutes to convince her to change it back. Her reasoning was that she assumed I had trouble with numbers and having nothing in the cents would make balancing my checkbook easier. That's the most ludicrous idea I've ever heard, not to mention very insulting.
All Save-On_Foods have the same basic problem. I am always surprised by how much I would NOT be saving on food if I shopped there. With some exceptions on sales things are fare cheaper at Superstore or even the local No Frills.
If it wasn't so frustrating it would have been funny. Shout-out to the middle-aged, blonde woman working floral and customer service on Jan. 26 @ 3:40 - this review is dedicated in your honour. I spent a good 5 minutes with a bouquet in hand waiting at the floral section of the store. The aforementioned lady there was involved in some task, but had her body purposely facing away. I say hello, and ask if she could help me with wrapping my bouqet. She replies that she can, but she'll do it at customer service in 5 minutes when she finishes up. So, 10 minutes later, i'm still in line and she saunters her way over. Wraps them, and asks me if the flowers were "X" price. "Uh sure?" It's not like i'm the one getting paid to "work" here, they're your flowers... Suspicious, I go back to the floral section after the purchase and discover that her suggested price was a couple dollars more than the actual posted price. . perfect shopping experience. I would have gone back to tell her, but the line she was manning was now twice as long..
I am a high risk senior with a host of bone issues. I went shopping at 109 and Jasper at 7:15 this morning. There was not a single employee wearing a mask. To top that I encountered a nasty employee at the self checkouts. I had a fabric bag which I wash after every use. I went to use it and this rude women pointed out the sign. So I held on to it. God help me because I rested the bag on the counter while I filled it and the crazy lady came running over to give me hell. I guess I interrupted them hanging around talking. I respect your staff by using my PPE. When are they going to return to decency???
Good products
My go to place for food shopping. In my opinion best fruits in Edmonton
Second time here. The store is big and bright and there is space between isles. Nice staff.
Good service friendly staff
This was by far edmontons worst experience for me, as a successful, visiting artist from another province.I was treated like I was going to steal from them, right from the get go. They actually ended up making me cry, with their insulting attitudes, right from the timed restroom break, to taking to long to do my shopping. I took an hour, and ended up getting booted out begire I could even pay for my groceries!. Im not sure what they were judging me on, because, yes, I have tattooes, im a tattoo artist. Yes I carry a backpack Nd bag around, for my meds and my personal items I would need on me incase of an emergency. I dont do opiates, I carry around an naloxin kit in case I run into my 7th overdosedperson in edmonton and can save their lives. One of the emoyees seen me take it out of my purse outside and assumed I was a junkie addicted to fentynol. I most certainly am not. If there were some way that I could sue this business for public humiliation and making many other people look at me differently and potentially hurting my career by making my reputation, I would totally sue their pharmacist,( whom I never even got past hello before being dismissed as a vagabond and directed out to the nearest door, them being my last last before leaving red faced and my prescription for my epee pen unfilled). I tell as many people all about who and how they treated me. Im going to dgo back, dressed up to "their level of acceptable atire" as I was in a tee and homecut shorts and dreads, follow the exact footsteps of my previous attempt. Im curiosity as to how this will end. Update I dressed to the nines as a rich well off woman. Nothing but help everywhere I went. Bowing down almost. They didn't recognize me. Sic
Friendliest staff in Edmonton, also super efficient, dont be put off if there's a big queue to the checkout- they get through it super quick .
