Everything about this supermarket is fantastic. It feels refreshing coming here, as the vibe is always great and the staff is always beyond helpful. The fine gentlemen at the seafood counter will give you tips and cooking instructions if you ask, and the fine ladies in the bakery section are always helpful also. Lately, this has become my go to supermarket. The produce may be a bit more pricey compared to other places, but the freshness is unparallel at IGA. In addition, this IGA is fully equipped with a Kosher section , and a health section for vitamins, proteins, etc. Hoping to catch the store manager one day walking around, so I can tell him personally how fantastic this place is!

1 star only since I had to to write this review. I bought rye bread, cheese ( from the deli counter and ham for sandwiches for my family tonight. The cheese has mold on it and the rye bread that has a label saying it was baked today is so dry it's un - edible ! I've heard that they repackage out dated food and obviously this bread was re-labeled. Disgusting way to treat customers and I will NOT ever shop there again.

Pour ceux qui se demanderait mais comment ça se fait que je ne vois pas de panier dehors!?!. La réponse, il y a un système de débarcadère ou tu amène ta voiture et tu reçois ton épicerie. Les employés vous aides donc à mettre vos achats dans la voiture. Une bonne idée unique en son genre! Je crois personnellement que les IGA sont une coche au dessus point de vue prestige. It appears that someone may have been doing drugs while trying to organize the fruits and vegetables. They are laid out in the most unorganized fashion causing you to frustratingly walk back and forth as if you are a chicken, who has lost their head. Instead of clear rows that will take you past everything and tempt you, you are drawn to getting to the side and then hunting, as if you need a bloodhound to find you cilantro and scallions. Once you get past the bakery, fruits & vegetables and then the eclectic meat/fish and deli sections. The set up gets easier. But don't expect this to be a moderately priced selection. It's clearly on the pricier side, not even stocking their own brands in cereals and many other areas. And the selection of ethnic foods was definitely curated by someone who's... well, definitely not ethnic in any way.

[2010] As far as the physical grocery store itself is concerned, I can't say anything bad. However, their delivery service has proven itself to be completely unreliable. The last three times I ordered groceries online, I received the items at least 4 hours late. Considering I pay 5$ for the delivery, plus tip, I think this is insane. The last time I ordered was yesterday, expecting a delivery at 11 today. I called to speak to someone about it at around 1, and apparently the girl responsible was on lunch break. She was supposedly going to call me back, but that didn't materialize, so I called back. I found out the delay occurred because they simply didn't know about my order - yet I could see it easily on their website, and it was in a valid state. The orders girl put me on hold in an attempt to locate my order details, and while I was waiting, numerous departments picked up the line. I got the meat counter, the cashiers, etc - until eventually the girl returned to say she found the details. After being thrown around like a hot potato, she picked up the phone and said it would take at least 2 hours to prepare it, meaning I'd get my order a whopping 5 hours late. I will never order from IGA again. 3 strikes. The last strike, today, was their last chance, and I waited more than a month, thinking they might have cleaned up their act. No such luck. Keep in mind, though, that the delivery guys aren't to blame. I think the overall management is the issue.

Out of all stores in DDO, since we moved there in April 2016, it's the most visited one. Prices, stock, personnel - everything is great. Sometime they don't care certain products in certain volumes - for example, they don't have chocolate syrup in big bottles - but it's alright. But this is the only store that has my favourite beer NewCastle :-)

Usually I don't write negative reviews but I just would like to share my today's experience so maybe it'll save some of you from stress in the future. I ordered a cake in IGA on Salaberry for my daughter's BDay. No words needed: just look at pics of what I received. It was just a nightmare. I couldn't believe that ever in real life I would experience those "expectations vs reality" ???? When I addressed that issue to a store manager the entire team just asked me "What's wrong? What you don't like in it?". I had no words, I explained to them that never ever in IGA any cake that I ordered looked that miserable and not like on pictures (please note that was the design suggested by the store, not my own!). So what I've heard from the store manager was "That's the best our baker can do and he cannot repeat the design from photo" and "if you don't like our standards you are free to shop anywhere else". I broke to tears. Finally we just took whatever over-the-counter cake :(
