Typical Canadian Tire Found in a small Ontario city. Have used auto service for a number of e-tests while working in southern Ontario, and while they seem chronically understaffed for the amount of auto service business they do, service manager is always friendly and accommodating.

I find the staff for the most part very helpful here. The challenge I have is every time I need any products for the instant pot pressure cooker they always seem to be out of stock.(eg. 8qt Inside lid rings, 8 qt instant pots, 8 qt liner pots , and any cooking accessories for that size pot) Staff in this department have not been knowledgeable at all. Do your research for your instant pot pressure cooker before stopping here.

Exchange place for Soda Stream C02 canisters. They do an exchange for empty canisters. Be sure to call ahead as they sell out quick. Wal-Mart does not do the exchange program in Estevan, I think Can Tire is the only place here right now that does.

They have excuses all the time, but the long and short of it is, it's done on purpose hopping you will just pay the price , instead of saying, no thanks ...keep it ... Today I tried to buy a new battery for my lawnmower by going through the auto entrance. After all that is where the batteries are kept. I could not get into the store without a tremendous amount of trouble. I am in a walker as I have a broken ankle. Turnstiles cannot be used in a walker but it did say to use the other side, which I did but that side does not open and if it did there was a bin of goods in front. Seems Cdn Tire wants you to walk through their entire store even if you are in a walker or wheelchair. I bought my battery and by the time I got to the car after all that walking I was and still am in a lot of pain. Thanks Cdn. Tire. Can't say when I'll be back.

Had a problem with my car while crossing the border. Called and spoke to Casey. Instantly made me feel comfortable while I was panicking. He arranged for a tow to their shop. After my car was checked they told me it was just a loose battery terminal. They fixed it and didn't even charge me. I couldn't get over it. This is the best car shop I've ever been to. Cannot recommend them enough.

These guys saved my butt. This location did not have what I needed to make an inverter they had in stock work for my application so Matt and Bob were able to modify existing jumper cables to work with the inverter for my application. These guys saved my he day. Props to northern ingenuity. I would not have been able to make this work otherwise. And Canadian Tire, if you read this, your staff are what makes your mark in the community, not fancy marketing. These guys deserve recognition.

Went to buy gloves for working on a dirtbike, and they had literally 0 latex/nitrile gloves, only gardening gloves!! 4 boxes per person and yet they're so understocked that this is the only Canadian Tire that has none left in stock. I get that people want gloves due to covid 19 but c'mon, they're intended for mechanical applications so people like me can't find what they need because this seems to be the next thing people are hording unnecessarily! Have to travel 140 km to the nearest store in Flin. And what? They CAN NOT find them! - They have one from shelf open but CAN NOT sell it without manager. - To buy online They CAN NOT deliver it because it is oversized item! Period! Two huge boxes can not be found! I wasted 3 hours of my time and about 60 CAD for gas to face such an unprofessional attitude!

This last visit to Canadian Tire was awful. We were to pick up a kayak, which was purchased as a gift and to be picked up today. We went there and the kayak was nowhere to be found!! Five or six employees muddled about for over an hour, with no success finding the paid for kayak! My partner, because of a trip planned this week, purchased another kayak at $100 more than the one purchased, as a gift. Further to that, last Fall, I purchased 4 tires and some other items valued at over a thousand bucks. When I got to the till, the cashier asked me for around $300. I mentioned that couldn't be correct. She could not have charged me for the tires, which were $600. After a few minutes, fussing with the till, she assured me that the amount was indeed around $300. I paid her but when I got to my car, I could not leave the parking lot. I went back to the store, explained what had just occurred. I insisted there was an error and paid the $600 for the tires!! Cashier training: fail!!

Had a safety done, vehicle sat in the driveway for months due to conversion to a camper van. On the first trip out we got 200km away and I felt some vibration. Pulled over and found driver's side rear as pictured. Lugs were finger-tight on passenger side rear, but fully torqued both sides of front. Luckily I noticed the issue before losing the wheel. Service says they won't do anything because too much time has passed.

I give this place the worst possible rating I can. I had a manager of the store named sue threaten to call the RCMP on me after I questioned her on a price check in the store. Then she lied to me about why the price was wrong and I called her on it. She then caused a huge scene and actually argued with me in the store over an $8 price discrepancy, and said she would have me removed from the store, for simply questioning an unclearly marked price. This place is a complete joke. This lady should be fired! Seriously go to Walmart or anywhere else. Support business that actually care about their customers. This lady doesn't deserve to have a job. Ide give a 0/5 but 1 is the lowest I can go . SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE

Store is disorganized, cluttered, and a complete mess. Most employees are under-trained and or unpleasant. The "you must use a cart" rule is ridiculous. Using the same cloth the clean every cart is gross and unsanitary. On top of that they force you to use it. Go to Niagara Falls or Welland. Stores are bigger, cleaner, better staffed, and overall better.

Purchased a "PowerSport" battery a few weeks ago. Brought it home and took it out of the package. It was undersized but the salesperson recommended it would work since it was a 12 volt and meant for quads, boats, and sea-doos. After following the instructions and trickle charging the battery over night. I hooked it up to my quad and it wouldn't even turn the quad starter over. I bring it into Estevan Canadian Tire to exchange it for a larger battery and id pay the difference. The salesperson couldn't test the battery and suggested I come back the next day (an hour drive for me) so I could speak t to the manager because it was his day off. Refused to help in any way. Assured me it was my fault that his salesman recommended me a smaller battery. Refused to return or exchange it since the battery acid had been used in the battery. Don't know how one would charge a battery dry to test it to make sure it would work for an application they assured me it would be sufficient for. Battery had been used once and set in the porch until the next time I came into the city to return it. I had original warranty card and receipt but was still met with an aggressive "you bought it, it's your fault it doesn't work". This is not the type of professionalism I've come to expect from Canadian Tire. Not impressed, do you own research before listening to the salespersons "professional" suggestions.

I am from Alberta in Snow Lake on Holidays and attended the Flin Flon Location to purchase a pressure washer that was in the flyer for $399 (of which the store said it had 2 in stock and 2 were showing in stock on line). It was a 2.5 hour drive to get to the Flin Flon store over some pretty crappy roads only to find out that the store didn’t have stock as they were misplaced or possibly stolen ? After 40 minutes of looking, I was told by the Assistant Manager that there was none in stock and there was nothing they could do to help the situation. They could sell me another one that was on sale for $100 more without any additional discount.... I asked if there was anything they could do to better the price a little as I really wanted the other one... and was told “NO” and that was final. After committing to a 5 hour road trip to get a Father’s Day Gift... I did not intend to return empty handed and ended up purchasing a better one at WalMart for $389... I do not think this Canadian Tire should have sent me packing so easily !! Canadian Tire is a great Store with a lot of good Staff and good Product !! The Management team at this store could learn a lesson or two from the previous Management or others successful stores - Customer Service is where it counts ! On a good note.... I contacted the Canadian Tire Head Office Customer Service department and they were more than helpful (Hats off to them).

My 18 year old daughter and friend were traveling alone from the US to Toronto when they encountered car trouble. CAA towed them here. The guys not only went out if their way to get the required part, but stayed late to get the car fixed and back on the road. They charged a fair price and called the girls the next day to make sure they got to their destination OK. Would definitely recommend.

This is the 3rd time that I've been to this store recently, and every time I'm looking for staff to help. What the...? If you want to sell you need staff. Today I waited in line at the automotive departments for 15min only to be told that the belt I needed was in the seasonal dept. It wasn't and when I returned to the automotive department the line up was 8 deep. The place was packed with people wandering around looking for help. I thought it was a convenience having a Canadian Tire in town...I won't be going back. Ay least the Port Colborne store and Niagara Falls have staff to talk to!

Very poor service at this store. Tried to return 5 miscellaneous items (valued $20) that were accumulated over a few months during COVID. Could not find items in the plethora of receipts I I accumulated. Customer service desk and several associates including a supervisor were unwilling to help and offer solutions to resolve this issue. During the same visit I went to the auto parts counter to obtain product information on brake parts. As I was a first time brake part buyer I asked for help. The associate was very unwilling to provide product numbers and information on the parts so I could research the products on my own. Said you will only see the information he was seeing on his computer. He also told me the only parts he had in stock where the parts I needed and he said he knew what the quality of the parts were because "he's been in the business for 30 years". I explained that I needed to research the parts on my own to ensure I was comfortable buying the parts. He reluctantly wrote on a scrap piece of paper the words brake pads and rotors with prices. I asked for him to at least add the sku numbers so I could research. At that time he quickly snatched the scrap piece of paper from my hand and scribbled the numbers down. At the same time the manager walked by and said they are master craft and that they were good, rather than helping to improve the service experience I was receiving. I then tried to find a few flyer sale items in the store. Shelves were empty, despite the store indicating several dozens were in stock. All the associates that I noticed in the store were doing all kinds of tasks other than working customers. As I waited in line on several occasions not one associate made any contact with me or the other customers to thank them for their patience and that they'd be served as soon as possible. In fact I felt responsible for taking up the associates time while other customers waited. Why did I take on this problem as my own? Probably because not one paid associate was doing so. After this lengthy store experience I took the time to send a detailed email to the store dealer. The store dealer failed to personally reply and to resolve at least the return problem I still had. Instead he passed my email onto the general manager who briefly replied and offered no solution or empathy to the experience I had. I had to reply and ask about the 5 miscellaneous items that I wanted to return which I still had in my possession. Once again the dealer passed my issue onto the general manager who said "sure we will process a return for the items". He said come to the customer service desk and I'd be helped there. Upon returning to the customer service desk to attempt returning the items a second time, once again I was met by the same challenges as the first time. Once I indicated that I received an email from both the dealer and the general manager the associates and several managers who had approached the desk continued to provide an awful customer experience. Essentially the items were finally refunded and the cash tossed on the counter in front of me. Appalled by the service from each and every employee there, I sent a new email to both the dealer and the general manager about this second terrible experience. Many days later not either of them has had the decency or professionalism to reply and to make a very terrible experience better. I vow to never ever do additional business at the Fort Erie Canadian Tire store. I'd encourage everyone to shop at other Canadian Tire stores in the Niagara region, especially the Welland store. The level of service quality at the Fort Erie Canadian Tire store is probably the worst customer service I've ever received. It wasn't once or twice, but most of my experiences at this store are pathetic. At this time of changing customer behavior as a result of the pandemic, I will do everything possible to purchase my products elsewhere whether it be online, from Canadian Tires direct competitors or even abroad. Customer service quality starts at the top.

The general manager quite rudely kicked me off the property for parking my small business vehicle on his mostly empty parking lot for a couple of hours while killing some time. I'm not sure how taking up one stall for a few hours was somehow costing them money, but kicking me out has certainly cost them a lifetime customer. Really poor customer service and lack of flexibility especially given current situation. I called in this morning about purchasing a bike. I was told that it was unassembled and was still in a box. I could come to the store and buy it but I would not have a warranty. I was fine with this. I drove 40 minutes and waited 30 plus minutes in line. When I got to the counter I was then told this was not the case. The manager was adamant the policy was the policy and non negotiable. Canadian Tire would not sell any bikes unassembled. I was told I could come back at another time for the assembled product once I paid for the purchase. So basically if I wanted to buy the bike I would need to spend more than 4 hours doing so. No thanks! I will take my business elsewhere. When many companies are now trying to retain business through superior customer service. The Canadian Tire store experience is dismal.

I purchased a socket set online for curb side pickup at this store. I placed the order on Monday evening and had the pickup notice in my email on Tuesday morning. Drove there, found the curb side pickup location clearly marked and with a large sign clearly explaining to call the listed number and extension to have an employee come out. This all went smoothly and quickly. Employees were incredibly prompt, pleasant, and helpful. I would drive out of my way to deal with this store again.
