I have mixed feelings about this Safeway. The staff are friendly and the produce department is excellent. Unfortunately I went into Safeway this Holiday Monday before school and found the bakery not just a mess but very under stocked. I couldn't even get a hamburger bun. This is not acceptable and I don't care that it was a holiday Monday. If your going to open for sales then don't waste people's time by not being prepared. Wont go back to that Safeway. Cheers

Marnie G. Cashier. Super rude and unprofessional. I have never experienced such terrible customer service from any other grocery store. Over the weekend, there was a salted butter promo ($2.77) going on. I was told by my mom to purchase 6 sticks of butter for our family and my aunt told me to purchase 6 for her family.. keep in mind we are two DIFFERENT families. She sent my younger cousin along with me as she is unable to travel anywhere due to a foot injury. I'm explaining all of this because you never know what exactly someone's situation is. On Sunday July 19th at around 3pm, we picked up the butter from the Sunshine Hills location. This location is a bit out of my way and I have not been there in years. I only went due to the promo and this was the only location in stock of the butter. I sent my younger cousin to till 1 and I headed to till 2. Right off the bat, Marnie did not greet me. No "hi", "hello", "how are you". Even when I said "hi" she was looking down and continued scanning the butter. She did not look at me or reply to my greeting. At this point she said "she sent her kid to the other line". Did not occur to me that this comment was for me because it was not my child I sent to the other line, it was my younger cousin. Then, she said to an employee standing off to the side, "I should've gotten my 6 sticks of butter too, otherwise we're going to be completely sold out". I was giving her the benefit of the doubt, as some employees don't get a chance to purchase items on promo because customers are first priority. Then when she said "I might as well call all my family to the parking lot and hand out their 6 sticks of butter too".. I was completely taken aback. How rude can someone be? Especially directly in front of a customer.She acted as if I was completely invisible and had no concern that I am able to hear each comment she is making right in front of me. The transaction was done and as I was walking off, she said "what kid buys butter". I was completely aware of what was happening at this point and while walking off, I turned around and said "you are so rude, you are so f***ing rude". I was very angry and so shocked that this was happening. She then pulled the divider and looked the other way, without acknowledging me. I then left the store. My question is, what allowed Marnie to be so judgemental and disrespectful, not only to me but to my cousin and also to the store itself. This reflects very poorly on Safeway. Clearly she had no concern besides being bitter and judgemental. She did not know my situation and had absolutely no right to disrespect me like that. I strongly believe she was being microaggressive towards me. I am a POC, as were the customers taking advantage of the promo. I understand many people were wrongly taking advantage of this promo but as an employee, please do your job properly. This means to work on your customer service skills and practicing EMPATHY. Very disappointed in the customer service I received from Marnie G. Also called the manager and complained because this is unacceptable. Do better, Marnie.

It's Safeway. Although smaller than others, it's well-stocked with basics. There are also fresh meats, dairy and bakery sections plus a deli. Not too many people even on a weekend. Not a go to place for international foods or ingredients as selection is limited. Fruit and vegetables quality is way better than Superstore. Staff are always friendly.

Bought a cake on my birthday which was sour and expired even thought the label on the box was normal. So embarrassing for the guests and I. I called the store several times and my calls were put on hold. Customer service picked up my call and transferred me to the bakery department for the inconvenience and my call was not answered. The night manager at this location is horible!!!! Not too sure why he's still around but he is no help to the wonderful staff here. Took this man 15 minutes before he came out to do an override on an item. Hope he can pick up his socks when it comes to being a good manager

Too bad Safeway ain't Safeway anymore. Nevertheless they've maintained the pleasant shopping environment that it was known for. It's always clean and friendly. This location has a smaller footprint but has all the good stuff easily accessible - way nicer than the Superstore on 82nd if not a little more expensive.

It's a tiny Safeway - one of the few remaining in the area - but benefits from a pretty loyal Sunshine Hills clientele and other good tenants (a Starbucks, Brown's Social House, liquor store, produce store etc.) in the same strip mall. Great selection for a smaller store.

My new favorite place to shop. Much less crowded than Superstore and cheaper than Save On. Selection is not as vast but they have most of my favorites. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. Keep up the great work!

This is a typical Safeway that's part of a chain of stores that tend to follow a pattern for layout and selection. So if you've been to a different Safeway you should have a good idea of what to expect. Lots of parking, part of a strip mall complex so there are a bunch of other stores making for more selection in a smaller space. Pharmacy in store, bakery, and in my opinion, one of the better produce and fruit sections for quality, appearance and flavor. Like most things at Safeway's, it tends to be on the pricey side of things unless it's on sale then the price is usually pretty low.

This is my favorite Safeway. There's always a lot of parking and the location is at 120 st and 64 th ave. The store is always very clean, organized and well stocked. It doesnt seem to get packed with people, so its easy to navigate the store in a hurry and find what you need. No long line ups at the checkouts and great customer service.

I go there some morning when im almost late to work, and this safeway assures that i am always late. Called to talk to the bakery, was hung up on 3 times. Then called customer service who said they're not able to go to the bakery and confirm my cake order. They weren't able to walk over to the bakery to ask if a cake was ready for pick up? Really disappointed in their lack of care for customer service, especially the customer service department. Second update 2 weeks later and still zero to 1 star. The employees here are so lazy! They literally put so much effort in to avoiding doing any work with excuses and lies, it would probably be less effort and work to actually do your job. So disappointing, but still astonished at the amount of dedication they put into being lazy!

This is my go to place. Best breakfast sandwiches are here. Very friendly staff at the deli. Bakery has made me some amazing special occasion cakes - like with a picture made from edible ink- I think they really like getting creative. I'd go here for lunch and breakfast anytime. And for you Starbucks people lined up 10 deep across the parking lot; There's a starbucks inside the safeway that's usually fast.

People have a stereotype about Safeway's that its expensive to shop here . I always come to shop here. The store is always clean, prices are very competitive and reasonable, well stocked shelves, flyer items always cheaper than the competitors and help is available all the time. realy like this store since moving nearby, but today as i walked down freezer isle i watched young lady worker wipe every door handle and not once spray cleaner at the end of the row she began wiping starbucks counter with same rag, i told her using cleaner is helpfull instead of just spreading any possible whatever over every suface with old rag.....not inpressed and she was carring spray cleaner in other hand.....lol

I have been going to safeway for 40 years, however, yesterday I went to the deli and purchased 4 pieces of quiche. Took them home and warmed them up to eat. The cheese was melted and crust was very light beige. I cut into it and ate a piece and - yuck - the bottom crust was RAW! Someone should teach the young girls they have to cook the pastry before putting the filling in to bake. Just because the cheese is melted, does not mean the quiche is fully cooked. I used to purchase this product all the time but won't now. Still love my safeway.

It is conveniently located in my neighborhood and the items are very well stocked. Bakery, produce, meat/seafood very fresh. Staff in the store very friendly and helpful.

Susan S. is always miserable to me. Never greets me at all. All the other cashiers are so friendly especially Brenda, Karin and almost all of them. Brenda/ Karin always greet me, asks how I am and Brenda always says "take care" when we leave. I just had horrible service this morning from Susan. She is always grumpy and seems like its such a big chore for her to serve me. She did not bag my groceries and place them in the cart as she did for the lady in front of me. I think it might be a racial issue that she has with me. I have been a customer there almost everyday since 2014 and all of the staff know me and always greet me but she clearly does not like me. Honestly I don't care, but I am sick of her unfriendliness.

I love going grocery shopping here. There is always tons of staff on the floor to help when needed, they also greet everyone that walks past and ask if you need help finding anything. Customer service is amazing and I love how they take such care in bagging and loading your groceries. I’ll always choose Safeway for my families meals!

This is a decent Safeway with a fairly good deli and sandwich counter. Unfortunately, they do not slice cheese fresh, only meats. They have a decent selection of sandwiches and bagels to choose from. The only thing I could suggest to Safeway, is that they make available a bagel with butter. The only way to get a bagel from the deli is with cream cheese. Safeway also has a very decent selection of organic produce which is important to me.

First note that I have been a LOYAL Safeway customer for 20+ years. I had such a horrible and embarrassing experience at this location today that I felt the need to share. We live about a 5 minute walk from there, and visit when we need a few things and not a huge shop. My 5 year old and I did our shopping, got checked out and I was attempting to pay a $61.00 bill. I tapped my card once, the machine made a funny noise and told me to swipe or insert my card (they don't have swipe) so I inserted the card and it quickly said card error. The girl tried doing the transaction 5 more times, repeatedly saying that it isn't my card but the machine has a problem. I was getting flustered and saying that I only use one card and I have no cash and I use this card every single day without issues and use this same card in your store everytime. So she said sorry and moved me to another cashier to try. SAME PROBLEM! But this time the cashier is repeating loudly that your card has a problem, it's your card and not our machine. I repeated several times that there is no way my card has an issue as I just used it, use it everyday and I have used it so many times without issue in your same store. I kept saying that your machine has caused my card to have an issue. She just kept repeating herself that it was my card until I got so embarrassed as by that time there were people everywhere staring at me that I asked her if she could have someone put back my groceries for me and she said yes and that she is sorry. I had to walk my small child back home without any groceries and feeling so mortified. When we got back home I called my bank and they told me there is no issue with your account, no block and funds totally available. She also agreed that their machine must have done something to block my card from processing the transaction. As I said above, I have been a LOYAL Safeway customer for over 20 years but I absolutely will NEVER return to this location or any Safeway location due to this experience. I didn't mind spending the extra $$$ when I knew it was going to a local business but I will most certainly be sticking with Superstore and Walmart from now on.

Why have only one side of exits and entrances open? If you think about it for a half a second it makes NO SENCE WHATSOEVER. This is a plandemic. They close all little shops and keep the big ones open to reap all the benefits. Think about it. If the little shops were still open people wouldn't be forced to shop at all the same places. The older east Indian lady working in the deli section is horrible she puts one thin slice of meat on my foot long sandwich. When you complain she goes it's pre weighed and that's how it is. I've gotten many sandwiches from here from other people and they put adequate amount of meat and it tastes great. You're pretty much getting bread with some veggies on it it's a rip off I will be avoiding her and asking for someone else next time.

Decent Safeway. Best one in the area anyway. It's not as good as it used to be. Feels a bit like corners are being cut. Update: Same as above, accept I have to downgrade to 2 stars due to poor COVID protocols. The staff are doing a great job of masking, however, the store only has one door open to use. This funnels all customers in an out at close proximity. Some wearing masks and some NOT wearing masks. This is a dangerous policy and needs to be fixed. You have two doors. Please use one for the entrance and one for exit... Fixed. I will update and upgrade my review when you have taken some action.

It's a Safeway. Pleasant staff, ok products, overpriced. You're paying for convenience. It's like an uncomfortable half way between a Walmart and a whole foods. I would rather they commit to an ethos but at the same time I'm somewhat grateful at the opportunity to compare mid tier regular produce with low tier organic produce.

I go to this store on a regular basis to grab lunch as the deli fresh made sandwiches are awesome. For some reason this stores deli is always out of bread or cheese or certain veggies. I went in today and waited 10 mins in line to find out they are our of white bread and lettuce. This deli is an absolute joke.
