Brand new store and it looks fantastic! Its great to have another option for groceries in Dawson Creek. Parmacy hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM so if you need a prescription filled you can't do it on the weekend. I was told that pharmacy hours will expand once additional staff are hired. Staff are still learning and a bit nervous but everyone is really friendly. There is an in-store seating if you want to grab any of the prepared foods and eat before you shop. You can also shop online and pick your order up all packed and ready to go.

A few weeks ago I went into this Save On for the very first time, despite having lived 15-20 mins away for the past 10 years (there is one closer to my place). This Save On location is by far the nicest one I've ever been to. It is so well organized and CLEAN. I interacted with one staff member and they were SO friendly. I wish I lived closer to this branch so that I could go here more often. 10/10!

Don't have to pay for a shopping cart. Lots of parking. Friendly staff. Very clean store, moderately priced although some items are way more expensive here than other stores even if you use your More Rewards card. I love that they sell plants! They have the best 'made in store' sandwiches in town. It's nice that it's right beside the mall. They're also open until 10pm which is handy.

The new fresh look and more ethnic choices is great. I like the line management as it feels like everyone with full carts gets through in a more timely manner (than the choose your own lane pre-COVID). Though with the displays on top of the checkout aisles you can't see the cashier waving you up maybe lower these displays so people who are shorter than 5'5" can see the wave. Otherwise I do hope you keep this line management moving forward. Veggies are always fresh and the new layout is great. -1 star because Deli counter staff can be rude and their pharmacy staff are horrible - Short, snappy, grumpy and love to roll their eyes with the option of so many other pharmacies you think they would "go the extra mile" but no - they don't and they make you feel like you are forcing them to fill your prescription.

I found I have to keep track of prices. The price advertised is different to the price at checkout, its happened to me 90% of the time so if you dont keep track of pricing you will end up spending more than you should have. Even with the points card it doesn't seem to automatically adjust the price.

This store likes to micro manage your medication even when its a new prescription on a reoccurring medication I've had for 17yrs. Asking my Dr for additional information not required or mandated by any law, only their sic curiosity. Now I sit, for 4 extra days, for a medication my Dr thinks Ill be taking Sat...I wont even have dispersed until Mon-Tues at best. I would also mention this is after having had this same pharmacy hold my medication for 9 days while they told me they didn't have it, requiring an interim prescription that they now question. Its unheard of and Im filing multiple complaints. I don't mind oversight, I actually welcome it but this is over reach without cause or backed by some vague safety concern. They certainly had no concern when they had my medication for 9 days without so much as a phone call while telling me they didn't have it call. Needless to say, Ill be taking my business elsewhere. Its a shame, I actually have a lot of respect for the Indian man who is manager there, very polite, professional, transparent and helpful. Everyone else just tries to make things difficult when its really non of their business.

Quite a large location stocked with a decent variety of products for shoppers. Due to the competitive nature of the business, you may want to comparative shop as the Walmart is on the opposite side of the Scottsdale Mall. The fruit and veggie section is not bad in terms of freshness, and the overall service by the staff is friendly. Though not all departments may be staffed by personnel as you get closer to closing time

I've noticed prices going down recently. Certain staff members are unhelpful, while others are very friendly. Sometimes the produce department looks gross, while other times it looks pristine. Very hit or miss in terms of quality. The self checkout machines tend to jam up in my experience. Walmart may have slightly cheaper prices but the experience at Save On is better in my opinion

A fairly recent competitor in the Dawson Creek grocery market having just opened in early 2019, Save On has started off right. Great service, comparable prices and (best of all) high quality produce! Deli meat prices are significantly lower than other major distributors as well and the bakery and meat departments are strong. Overall great experience when shopping there, they even offer a kids program where there is fresh fruit at the from of the store to keep kiddos occupied while getting your things done. This is a nice store, no doubt about it but the customer service sucks. Friday I was told I did not need a Save on More card to receive the sale prices, there was a "master" store card that is always available and she scanned it. On Sunday, I returned to the store and told them about the card and I was told that it was only available, "If you're from out of town, like, if you're in Vancouver..at the hospital." Funny, I was told on Friday, here in Dawson Creek, in this very store that it would "always be available." Safeway does not require you to join their program to receive the sale price, needless to say I will continue to do my shopping there.

I bought this product (india snack) from this location on 16th July today. After couple of bites, I realized the taste of the sauce is bad. And then when I checked it was already expired. Within 20mins I went back and refunded the product, its not expensive, but I’m not sure if I’ll get sick now or what ? The purchase and refund is linked to my card to it says the time of purchase and refund and all the details. The still have a lot of them on shelves for sale which are expired. I’m waiting to talk to the manager and see what happens.

I had an unacceptable and frustrating experience at Scottsdale Save On Foods. On August 10th 2020 I bought Enfamil Vitamin D and I found that it was expired on August 1st 2020. I took it back to exchange the next day and discovered that all Enfamil Vitamin D supplements were expired. On top of that that save on foods employee said that it says that expiry is August 1 but you can use it till 31st August. It was shocking. I ended up purchasing at another store.

Dirtiest save on I’ve ever been to. I used to live in this area and shopped here for many years. Be very careful to check the expiry dates and that the packages haven’t been tampered with. Very Poorly managed. Drive to Nordel instead.

Love the store, the number of products, the great looking/tasting produce and the fresh deli food, but their prices are a bit high!!! Glad for the point system, though, as I got a free rotisserie chicken, a free 4 litre of milk and 2 free chicken pot pies!!! ????????????

I went there first thing in the morning to avoid any line ups and waits. The store is beautiful inside and has been completely renovated since I last went there. The store was full of employees, outnumbering customers by at least a 2:1 margin, if not 3:1. Yet, when it was time to pay, there was only one lane open and two people ahead of me. I waited almost 20 minutes to pay as dozens of employees walked around me. Really unacceptable, especially when you are paying over 20% more to shop here than at Superstore. Next time, if I have to go here, I will make sure to only buy items that can go through the self check-out.

Rarely shop here. Prices not the best...but the line up to pay was beyond slow in every line up 17mins to get through with 2 people in front of me...they had lots of cashiers...they were just uninterested and slow...cud care less about getting people through.

Went on Tuesday afternoon (yesterday) to buy cakes from this location , there was a lady working in the back of the bakery adding finishing touches to some cakes. so I had some questions about some cakes she did not bother to come out, instead she was basically shouting over the counter extremely rude. So then another sales assistant came omg really rude worst than the first one the way she spoke was extremely rude put me off so I just went. These ladies need to have some lessons in customer service.

I don’t have a problem with this store; the staff is always courteous to me, and are willing to fetch articles from higher shelves. I find people treat you like you treat them. As far as leaving the store as you turn right the outside door is straight ahead. If you could exit from the outside entrance which, by the way, is right beside the mall exit, what is to stop people stealing and slipping out the entrance only door? I have one complaint that the food bank container is moved further in instead of by the exit door; you should count your blessing that you can afford to shop for food and not be dumpster diving or handed a bag from the food bank.

This is my go-to place. Of the 3 saveons in the neighbourhood, this one is the biggest with the best selection. Decent international section, too. Good fresh produce. Deli section is okay. Good enough quality deli food. Workers are fairly friendly. They usually have a decent number of cashiers open so it doesnt take long even if the lineup is long.
