I love this Peavey Mart, and was excited to bring my guy here to check it out for the first time. We were there on January 03, 2021 around 4:00 pm. He purchased a 15$ Browning camo dog collar for our dog, and a nice KUHL button up flannel for himself, which was about 95$. We get home and find out that the cashier did not remove the security tag, and he couldn’t find his receipt: so didn’t feel like it was an option to bring in the shirt in case we were accused of stealing, because that happens often for Indigenous people. Been happening my whole life in this town, being watched extra closely while shopping more so than other shoppers. Anyways, he managed to get the tag off but damaged the shirt in the process. Just very disappointed in the experience; that cashiers can’t take the time to properly ensure that all security tags are removed once an item is purchased. The security tag didn’t even work, so not sure why they would even put it on an item. Anyway just needed to get our bad experience off my chest.

Good little spot for most stuff. The staff seems to be a little slow with most things. Customer service is sub par unless you deal with one of the two staff that care. The woman at the cash seemed to have the most difficult time i have ever seen displayed working the cash register. It really was quite sad. I had an order sitting at the fron cash that was called in prior to my arrival. I walked in and asked for it.....with the package in plain sight and the casheir literally had no idea what i was talking about.

Absolutely shameful and non-existent "customer service". I'm mortified and disgusted by the service my mother just received, a long standing customer that has been getting her bird seed from there for years. She went in for a huge, very heavy bag, and expected to receive some help getting it into the car as she is mobility challenged and has a limp, having recently endured hip replacement surgery. The staff couldn't even be bothered to open a door for my mom, let alone help her out of the store with what must have been a 30-40 lbs bag. Very disappointed and shocked. Also, the store is absolutely filthy and everything is covered in a layer of dust.

Previously (late summer 2020) I had a not so wonderful customer service experience at the Orillia Peavey Mart, I wrote it off as businesses had lots to handle with all the covid nonsense going on. Just recently though I had great experience with a recent purchase. Item was oversized and heavy. Staff went above and beyond to assist with loading item safely. Very happy with every team member, had to submit a review. Hope this level of service continues.

This is the second time I went in there to purchase items, and although the items are available, you have to wait for someone to unlock the compound to let you get them. It was too hot to stand outside, and when I asked the cashier when they were coming she said "Whenever they come". I went to my vehicle and waited 5 full minutes in the sweltering heat for someone to come unlock the compound. Nobody came so I went to Canadian Tire. The sales lady was friendly, and the product was available for purchase immediately, and was a few dollars cheaper as well. It's hard to shop local and support small business, when you're given service like I recieved at Peavy Mart. I don't own livestock or wear camouflage clothing, so I have absolutely no reason to ever go back.

We bought a couple of deer antler dog treats at this store. We found the dog didn't like them so we took the unopened ones back. The "manager" wouldn't do the return claiming the CFI agency didn't allow it. Total BS. CFI doesn't regulate pet products in Canada. This store has a real reputation for holding onto your money and refusing returns on any flimsy context. But the wife doesn't stand for this kind of thing and persisted. Eventually after enough arguing we got our refund. Still, I'd stay clear of this place and deal with a more reputable store.

This store has undergone a huge improvement for stock and inventory. Unfortunately the store is not big enough to display properly. They need a new location in the worst way and needed to have more sale item stock available as most times if you don’t get there the first day they have none. They also need to keep their staff longer so they become more aware of the actual stock and product in the store. Staff turnover is obviouslya problem.I find check out to be somewhat spotty when there’s only one cashier and no one else comes to help most of the time The current manager seems to be doing his best with what he has to work with. A much larger store and better location would make the store a real winner.

I went in in the afternoon, and had asked the cashier a question, and she started to treat me like I was stupid. I know what I wanted, I know what it was for. I asked if they had it. They do not have. Accessibility automatic doors in or out, as a person who looks after those with different abilities they cannot access the store on their own. I contacted their head office when it was TSC. And was told that they wouldnt be putting in auto doors that people with disabilities can have someone do their shopping or order in line and have it shipped to them... This was unacceptable.. I had hopes that PEAVEY MART will make changes that will allow ease if access for those of who need to have auto doors etc.

Called Friday night to àsk about lights in stock and what time they opened. "I don't know I don't work tomorrow Drove an hour to pick up lights . While waiting to pay for 7 LED 4 foot lights with one customer ahead and one behind me at nect till 3 other employees standing and did not acknowledge customers. A 4th employee came along to take coffee orders and still no acknowledgement . After paying someone came up to front with lights on cart, pushed the cart towards me and walked away. No automatic doors. Boxes falling off cart. Thanks to another customer I got lights out to car . One star for great pricing not customer service

For a smaller center this is a nice well laid out and well stocked Peavy Mart. Happened to wander in during a store wide 15% off sale which never really saved me anything. There was plenty of product an the shelves and I am doubtful they were going to run out during the weekend which is nice.

There are a lot of staff but only 1/3 of them were helpful. Asked three people about an item in the flyer, two of them pointed (literally) in the general facinity. it wasn't until the third person and an hour later that she found me what I was looking for.

Peavey Mart has always been my go to place for every project I've tackled. Since the renos, the prices have gone up significantly. This will explain falling short of 5 stars. Staff were great today as always. Today Jack helped me build a seive to clean potting soil in a greenhouse. If you have an unusual project, Jack or Gary can help you out.

This store is always low stock or sold out of the item I'm looking for. Last 3 times I went here I ended up walking out with nothing which is very annoying.
