Pretty good selection of frozen, dairy, meat, bread, condiments, cereals, clothes and juices. Everything from the building, to the prices to the staff is wholesale. Be prepared to bag your own items. But, at least If your bagging your own items they also offer a self checkout. Best selection of No Name products in town. HIGHLY reccomend the Stuffed Chicken.

Not a bad store. Definitely not much in the way of decor, but they have a good selection of housewares. The produce has improved over the last year. A lot of President's Choice products and a good place to buy some bulk goods. Definitely more affordable than some of the other options in Nelson.

Although the prices are good, I often find already rotted and moldy meat and cheese in the "club deal" section. The meat/cheese/cracker snack pack things were one example. I looked at the package and found the cheese completely moldy, even though the best before date was over a month away. Also you can tell some of the packaged lunch meat has gone bad because of its grey colour compared to the rest. We still shop there because it's cheap, but we always examine packing and best before labels before we purchase.

I am a regular customer at wholesale club Nelson for the past few months. I am quite happy with their pricing and availability of products. But the experience was not the same for me after my today's purchase (06/06/2020). I had bought a pack of apples (8lb) for $6.98 and most ofthem were bad apples. I called in the store to let them know of the same thing and I was quite disappointed by the way they dismissed my call just because it was made past 8pm. I can understand that mistakes can be made but it felt rude to dismiss my call even before hearing me out.

Terrible check out ladies. Seriously sour. They just seem like they hate their job and the customers. I get it, customer service is hard and they are on their feet the whole shift but going through check out at Wholesale is an incredibly unpleasant experience and I'd just rather go somewhere else.

This store has definitely improved. I used to shop at the Coop, buts its far to expensive and snobby. Wholesale club has a great selection of Organics and Presidents Choice Brand. Also never has line ups.

No frills......no kidding! Your in the food service industry, stop selling stale and rotten veggies, sub standard meats and other products...it DANGERIOUS! I've stopped going in there's nothing for me in there now perhaps some deal on cheese. I find staff can be rude????. With completion so high I would think after all these years you would take some pride in your Ontario based store. Also returns, are nothing but an argument even after I purchased year old prawns in the frozen section!

The only slightly redeeming features of this store are the kids clothing clearance bins and the slightly lower than average (for Nelson) prices. The store always gives me the impression that it is about to go out of business. It is cavernous and empty. There are frequently vast expanses of bare shelving in every section of the store. The freezer cases are always rattling and weezing. Although the store isn't that old it seems to be in a state of disrepair and general grubbiness. The washrooms are consistently filthy and wrecked with paper and soap dispensers loosely dangling from the walls or lying on the floor. During warm weather some part of the climate control system is usually leaking water from overhead, with buckets and totes spread around to collect the drips. There are problems with the merchandise as well. I have repeatedly found box cutter slashes in blocks of cheese and produce purchased here seems to spoil faster than produce from any other store. Frozen food and dairy products also seem to go bad too quickly. Shelves don't seem to be stocked regularly: If I go in looking for a product that I purchased there a week prior the shelf will invariably be empty. To add to all the regular problems the place has been undergoing a "planogram" exercise for the last several months so all the stock is mixed up and spread all over the store on pallets. Although there are a few stars most of the staff seem apathetic and grumpy. Their attitude combined with appearance of the store indicate that the place is likely rotten from the head down. If the manager can't be bothered to take an interest in the place than why should the staff?

Shopping today, Dec. 22 2018 and only 2 tellers working. Easily 30 people in a lineup and the workload for those 2 tellers is obviously ridiculous. Hire some staff and schedule extra people through the holidays. Not very happy having to wait forever.

While I found everything except Xyithol I was happy to get some organics there. i am from Salmo and upon getting home and making a salad I openedvthe celery up and therevwere slugs inside the celery and I had to throw out about 80% of the celery. I was able to keep. About 20%

EDIT #2: They are renovating and their freezer problems have been greatly improved. I still can't say it's a 5/5 for two reasons. Some frozen meat products are of terrible quality, and they keep mouldy produce next to fresh produce with 50% off stickers slapped on, This encourages mold growth on the fresh produce and shortens it's shelf life. Overall the store still has good deals, just watch what you buy and stay away from bulk frozen pub-style meats like PC/NN/Golden Maple breaded strips and wings, calamari rings, etc (takes some trial and error to learn what's good and what's not, unfortunately). I do most of my shopping for bulk ingredients here nowadays. Be sure to apply for a PC Optimum card if you shop regularly, they will give you points on items you purchase regularly which helps even more with buying bulk cooking needs. EDIT: They Finally Replaced the Freezers. A large grocery store with the atmosphere of a warehouse and few employees. The stores main redeeming features are it's selection of products and it's great prices; Unfortunately it does have some major issues in the summer. The freezers and refrigerated shelves are all open to the environment, and in hot summer months you can often buy food that turns out to be thawed or spoiled. They have been claiming that they will get new freezers for over a year, but so far they have not been replaced.

This is a great spot to get veggi burgers , there. $36 for 36 burgers and unlike the veggi burgers at other stores these ones are made of multiple different vegetables along with brown rice and soy. It's well worth the price.

Tried out the online order and in-store pick up. No follow up email after order confirmation. I called their customer service line and was told the order was ready for pickup. The order was not ready. Service in store was...uniquely unhelpful. They had an order a quarter complete with a different name but similar items and suggested I take what I want from the cart and go to the check out. Which sounds like something that's not online ordering and pickup. We're not able to process a refund in store or confirm no charges because their "internet had problems" and they did not have the invoice. Which could have been communicated before I came to pick up the order.

I love this place, it is never crowded when I go, the aisles are spacious and they are usually stocked with items. I have only once had to deal with an item not in stock and it wasn't a sale items in their flyer. Lots of staff if you need help finding anything

I like shopping here as long as you know what you are buying your good. Meat on special is not going to last long etc. Be careful about price because like other stores in Nelson the price on the shelf even the tag is subject to change at checkout without reason or recourse so watch carefully if prices matter to you.

Love the PCplus card...adding points that worth more $$$ than any other grocery stores....plus some Organic Veges and Fruits and other Organic products at a better price than anywhere else in town...this is the store that agree with my budget...and they sell produces 1/2 price instead of throwing them into the garbage like the other grocery stores in town do. RCWC a grocery store to discover if you haven't yet. I don't shop elsewhere unless I cannot find what I am looking for at RCWC. Oh and I get points for my gas as well at their gas station! What else to say! 5 stars andthey deserve it!

I don't usually shop here however they have the coconut milk that I use. Today I was in shock at how much the store has changed for the better. They now have a HUGE selection of organic products & produce at a great price, soya products, gluten free products. New freezers, shelving. I only went if for one thing and ended up spending over $250! The prices are comparable to Costco without the drive. I cannot wait until they have finished the entire transformation! WOW There is now no need to shop anywhere else as the Wholesale Club has everything!!

I like wholesale. Like NoFrills it offers a good selection at great prices. Bagging your own groceries is a small price to pay in light of all the savings you get from shopping there. I also think the produce selection is good, and the staff is generally polite and helpful. No complaints!

Produce was not as fresh as I remember. When it came time to go through to pay, there were only 3 cashiers and the line up of others waiting to pay was nearly to the back fridges. I do not like self check out as I feel it is not my job, but to avoid the long line up, I did use it.

Our grocery shopping today was a good experience in these stressful times. On a holiday weekend, everything was well stocked, clean, spacious, and a step up from the warehouse atmosphere it once had. Good store at reasonable prices! Always at the wholesale club! 3/5 star's for a few reasons. We stopped buying meat there because it is horrible quality, rubbery chicken as well. Stock on sale items always seems to be empty. Occasionally I will get a cashier that just seems to hate their job and the customer's. Overall a great store tho, always there for 3/4 of our load.

I have stopped in here a couple of times. It has everything you would expect in a grocery store. My companion bought a large tin of tobacco here for a "bargain" price of $80. Apparently this is a good price compared to stores in Winnipeg. I'm glad I don't smoke. :-) The co-ordinates for a GPS or map program are: 49.76863 N, 94.47309 W (Decimal), --or-- 49° 46' 7.07" N 94° 28' 23.12" W (Degrees, Minutes, Seconds )

Best prices in town for most grocery items. It is always my first stop...so that I can head to Save-On or Safeway when The Wholesale Club doesn't have what I want. I don't know what the problem is but I have never seen a store so consistently run out of basic items while simultaneously overstocking other things. Will they have toilet paper today? Who knows? Butter? Maybe. Is there any dishsoap? Let's find out! Today they are out of milk. Thanks for keeping grocery shopping so entertaining.

I’ve been driving from Casltegar to nelson for my groceries just to shop here. Since the PHO declaring masks mandatory, this store has chosen to respect its customers, their charter rights and protected medical rights. They are welcoming, staff is always friendly and helpful store is clean and well stocked. I’ll continue to shop here as long as they continue to honour medical exemptions for face masks, and beyond. I’ll always remember their kindness, and choose to shop here.

I like the wholesale club but not all their policies for instance if you order online items that are not stocked in store they charge $5 to pick it up that's $5 for you to drive there park walk into the store and get your items on top of the other online fees. It makes no sense to me
