It is as good as you are going to get in Deer Lake for groceries. Like most of Newfoundland the produce area is poor, it will last a few days at most, but there is a wide selection. Also in the summertime their water jugs are almost always sold out. Lots of parking and kind staff with most of the essentials for camping and day-to-day living.

There are not many choices here and it is pricy. For some stuffs the bigstop market near it has a more reasonable price and better selection. I regreted to buy lots of stuffs here when I visited the bigstop several days later.

Good place for well-priced groceries BUT there are always pallets and carts full of stock in the main aisles. I wish they could just stock shelves overnight like most businesses with so much stock.

Good service, has deals on sometimes that are good. Meats are hit or miss when it comes to price and portion size and the produce is usually on the crappier side for the most part. They do offer airmile support and turkey bucks which isn't offered by Coleman's in town.

We love this province and are tourists. I have family and dear friends all over the Island. Deer lake is a frequent stop when we travel here from PEI. Newfoundland is most known for its beautiful welcoming people. Our experience this time going to the Northern Penninsula and returning from is not reflective of Newfoundland hospitality. On our first stop, the cashier argued across us with another cashier about the price of carrots and reluctantly packed our groceries even when we asked if she would prefer that we packed. It was uncomfortable. On the second trip, my husband didn't even get acknowledged, the cashier refused to pack his groceries but the cashier in the next lane happily packed for the next customer. Maybe Deer Lake has had their fill of tourists. We are all hurting from COVID. This behavior was disappointing and not reflective of the heart and soul of Newfoundland. Good help is hard to find but faking a smile can go along way.
