I love the atmosphere here - everyone is very friendly. My family and I go for frequent drives in the area and always try to drop in for some snacks. Overall, this is a great place to drop by and grab some groceries or sit and eat breakfast.

This place has become a bit of a nostalgic landmark for me. When I was a kid my friends and I would go to Cultus lake and we would always stop in at this store to take photos at the telephone booth and get snacks to tide us over, it started a sort of tradition and we would always ask our parents to pull over here. Then in highschool we would come here in our cars on the way to a camping weekend, as we got older those trips have sadly been fewer and farther between. Every time I think of this place, I'm reminded of some amazing childhood memories.

I cannot say enough good things about this place???? Absolutely amazing sweet owners whom sacrificed their retirement to keep the family business and many traditions alive???? Not many shops like this around anymore and I love to support local! from fresh local berries/fruits to fresh local veggies and not to forget the traditional corn haul every summer???? And let me tell you about their legendary fresh made pies from an old family recipe passed down the generations so you know it's going to be DELICIOUS.... If you don't believe me give them a try you won't want pie from anywhere else I swear ???? Enjoy????

Went to BC on vacation and was very disappointed with this experience and establishment. The lady working in the deli side was very unprofessional and kept asking me to repeat the orders. Once we got seated, it took her a very long time to give us our food. There wasn’t much rush anyway, and we were in a rush. She was tall and blonde, looked like she could’ve done better. Her taking her time would’ve been okay if the place was busy, but it was nearly empty. Once she did come, we got our food, two plates were the wrong order. They were sent back and fetched the correct order. We thought that would be the end of it, we were mistaken. The food tasted old and even fake, like the hash browns. Some of it was even mushy, like if it were for old people. I asked for bacon, and got sausage. My eggs were over hard when I asked for over easy. The waitress again, took her time coming to see if we needed anything. We weren’t even given something as a means of apology for the horrible service and horrible food. 0/5 wouldn’t recommend, wont be going again.

We ordered Christmas Dinner from here and it was amazing! I saw an ad posted somewhere on Facebook about this so we decided to give it a shot. They offered dinner for pick up and re-heat at home. We weren't too sure what to expect, we just knew we weren't interested in cooking a big dinner this year. Man we were impressed. The food was delicious, the portions were perfect, and the price couldn't be beat. Definitely will be back again for nights we don't feel like cooking!

During this hard time of flooding and HWY closures I’ve been stuck not able to go anywhere. The owners opened their doors and helped with hot coffee, food and whatever I needed. They weren’t worried about money, just asked me to come back later. My gratitude is speechless, these are wonderful human beings that care about everyone. Used to go here as a kid all the time in the summer when visiting family. Have not been in 20 years. Visit was rather disappointing. Perhaps my memory is failing, or maybe it just was never as good as I remembered it to be. Produce selection was less than expect, quality was lower than expect (a lot of rotten cherries in the basket. Wife ordered soup which proved to be mediocre. We were going to get a big bag of corn but the quality of that looked poor (although that could have been due to our time of day, around 6:00pm) In my memory this place was amazing, this visit was just mediocre at best.

Local produce and a really great cafe, what more can I say except that they season the tomatoes in their BLT and the bread has a good texture. Soup of the day was corn chowder which had a nice sweetness and tiny kick. Would stop here again

It's pretty horrible in the off season. Don't bother coming here for veggies outside of regular growing seasons. I have seen above the ceiling in the deli kitchen and there was some rodent issues. I would never eat food that was prepared here.

A fun place to grab those last minute grocery items, sandwiches and of course, ICE CREAM. Don’t let the brand new Starbucks and Triple O directly across the street cause you to abandon this iconic pit stop on the way to or from Cultus Lake. We have been drawn in to the Yellow Barn for years and hope that the good people that own it will be able to count on our support in order to keep going. There really is no comparison between the Yellow Barn experience and the big franchises across the road. Vote with your ice cream money and sandwich savings for the Yellow Barn Country Market!

It is quite the treat stopping in at Yellow Barn. I don't live near it anymore, so a great rest stop on the way through town. The restaurant part has the best perogies and sausage! And the chilli too! Gourmet ingredients available all the time. Specialty items to die for. (Seed and nut bark!). Fresh produce, baked goods and local Gouda. I took home a bag of freshness, and treats.

Subpar food at mediocre prices... we didn't even end up finishing and just left instead. The store itself was nice and the selection of fresh fruit, etc looked super enticing. The staff were friendly with the exception of one lady who clearly hated being there. There's also nice little signs telling you to leave within 25 minutes 'for your health' which I read as them wanting you out for the next poor sap to take a seat. Avoid this place 'for your health'

Very good farmers market. Excellent pretty much home made chilli. Excellent locally made farmers sausage, no preservatives! use it quickly or preserve it is some way. I recommend vacuum sealing and freezing if you want long term storage.

I live close by for 6 years now to yellow barn and while its not fine dining, I have always had fantastic service from all the staff and me and my family and neibours have eaten their many many times and is always Fantastic. The staff are personable and friendly, it's rustic, cute and above all unique. If you can't show a little kindness and patience while one lady is running the kitchen and cooking then you have no business being there.
