They never fulfilled my mail order yet charged me for it and said the box of chocolates was sent when I followed up after hearing nothing back (no "thanks") from the intended recipient. It turns out they never got the chocolates I sent. Purdy's did eventually refund me the money, however, the process of giving them info and having to call them multiple times to get this sorted out was a waste of time. Hopefully they can learn something from all this and sort out their delivery system

The service was incredible!!!! She helped us pick out a wonderful collection of chocolates. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the products and was so wonderfully personable. The quality of service exceeded that of the fine quality of the chocolates themselves.

Such a great selection at this Purdy's store in Woodgrove Centre. The store is kept very clean and it's easy to see the products they have and quickly find what you're looking for (or find something that looks really good even if you weren't looking for it)! I recommend checking it out. I know I'll be back at some point in the future for sure! Probably when I'm looking for a gift for someone.

Worst service ever at Nanaimo's Woodbridge mall. Patiently waited 8 minutes for an elderly lady to hand pick. I will be needing the same consideration down the road. My reward, service clerk served an interloper of the mall way. No glance in my direction. All those years of cultivated customer dedication evaporated. I'm not happy.

Very helpful staff. Consistently great products. A good variety of of prepackaged chocolates to choose from, or you can select the chocolates and design your own box of happiness. They're offer shipping and Gift Wrapping for all of your special occasions. The people who work here enjoy what they do, it's reflected in the quality of products and customer service.

It was over the holiday season and I always buy my stocking stuffers at Purdys. They have fantastic options and product as well as knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately the last few times I’ve been there i have had the misfortune of dealing with a woman named Vanessa who happened to be the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She was cold and pan faced the entire time and treated me like I was a nuisance whenever I had a question. When it came time to ring me through she barely even spoke to me. She clearly should not be in customer service and I don’t think I will be back to the wood grove location again. Purdys is great but I do believe a staff upgrade or customer service course is needed at this location.

Good chocolate. A little pricier than I would like but I like the flavors. Really nice that they keep their classics. Tired of companies doing away with favorites in the spirit of progress. I highly respect them for this. You can walk in,grab what you like or the staff can give you what you are hankering for. A little description of your personal craving that day and they match you up perfectly with a smile no matter how busy they are.

The bigger lady with the greyish white short hair and glasses that is ALWAYS by the chocolete showcase is just ignorant she pretends you don't exist unless you look A certain way and is in that case extremely rude she has even cursed at my mother for taking long when no other customers where there and criticized what treats I would choose for my daughter her mere presence repels me from going into this location whenever I see she is working not to mention I expressed I had A nut allergy and asked if the certain type of ice cream was safe for me to eat to that she rwplied that it was then giving me something that looked to be vanilla with chocolates in it... Thank god my daughter asked for A bite first and noticed the nuts or I would have had to get stuck with A pin. On another note the younger lady who os there earlier in the day is verry pleasent and friendly even informing us of new products etc I particularly LOVE the tiramisu chocolates I get them whenever I can pay the store A visit.

I have been a lover of Purdys chocolates for over 30 years, when my husband first gave them to me, and I am probably up there with their best customers. The chocolates are good. But my experience in the Woodgrove Mall location has me questioning as if I want to ever return there again. I stopped in to buy gifts for my sisters when I go home to visit them. My "first" mistake, and I felt it was announced to the whole store that I chose the "display" box, where she promptly returned it to its rightful place. My "second" mistake was attempting to recycle (for myself) boxes from previous visits. I get it with COVID and everything is possibly contaminated with my containers, but we were frowned upon for doing this. People take their shopping bags to grocery stores to reuse, and are allowed to set them on the counter to pack their groceries, like I said I get it with COVID. I asked if they could use them for my order, "no" was the answer so my boxes remained in the bag I brought them in. I also asked for a sample and was answered with another "no". At this point I should have walked out, and I regret not doing just that. But I purchased pre-packaged boxes for my sisters, and also selected some from the display case. I refrained from buying anything for myself. There also was not a great deal of selection. Very limited selection of chocolates, very disappointing in customer service. I will be visiting Rocky Mountain chocolates to purchase some for myself, and maybe more for my sisters too, and we will do a taste test. Purdys you completely failed.
