I absolutely LOVE Close to Home! Always convenient and decently priced. They're now serving fresh meat as well which is perfect for BBQ season. Their chicken breasts are soooo delicious.

Way overpriced and difficult to park or turn around. Last time I was there I had to knock on the window two times just to get the attention of the butcher who after 10 minutes pointed to the other 5 deli clerks who stayed on the phone and socialized with each other while the manager sat on his computer until I complained but at that point he cut me off to speak with a driver until I broke in again to complain about poor service. Did I get the two steaks I wanted? No and I will never go go back as long SaveOn is only a minute away with better parking, lower prices and higher quality meat

Store is expensive. Save On is on the pricey side and this place makes it seem like a No-Frills yellow-brand store. Hope the owner isn't working and if he is just hope you don't need to interact with him. Possibly the worst person to have behind a counter or interacting with humans. This place is a hard-pass for me. Save On is just down the road and at least if I'm paying more in that store the staff are still polite.

A nice little grocery store good for promontory residents wanting to buy something simple or people wanting to grab a quick bite when shirt on time. They always have sandwiches, wraps and more ready and cold (albeit not for the greatest price but not bad) and other warm foods also. Friendly staff, good service, good food. (Their soft-serve is also nice for adults and children alike on a hit day)

After buying groceries with my partner, I asked the cashier to break up a ten for some bus change. She (the cashier) glared at me, snatched the money out of my hand, and gave me back two five dollar bills instead of toonies. I have no idea why she reacted as if I spat on her mother's grave. That did not leave a good taste in my mouth and I will not be back.

This place saved me saved me many a times, did not even know it existed when we first moved up here. But they have much more in store then I expected and so awesome to be able to essentially walk across the street to get an ingredient or a few groceries when I am missing things while in middle of making dinner

The food/mini sandwich bar is amazing! Honestly, this grocery market is so underated! A small community filled with dedicated people. The one thing though, is the organization. Sometimes its a tad bit messy, lines are long, and sometimes things are out out of place. If this is fixed, it would receive way higher marks! I love you ice cream too!

Every time we go in to Close to Home Grocery Store the staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked and has a bakery, deli, butcher and produce section. They also sell ice cream cones for a very reasonable price! A kids cone us only .75 as and and adult cone $1.25!

Wonderful neighbourhood store that most often gives me little reason to go down the hill. Many prices are competive with at least Save On, service is friendly and quick and their selection/variety of options is great for a friendly, neighbourhood experience and convenience. Not many little places offer produce, deli, extensive frozen and non-perishable along with bakery items and scooped old-fashioned ice cream. I give a big thumbs up and a thank you to Close To Home!!! Oh, and they even have toiletries, cleaning supplies and animal treats!

This is an absolute diamond on the hill. This place is the quintessential local convenience store, in that it actually makes your life easier. It's like you took an idealized lifetime movie depiction of a quaint friendly mom and pop shop and dropped it into real life. They have all the essentials and the food is fresh and of great quality. If you live on promentory hill and need that one thing you didn't realize you were out of at the last minute Close To Home will have you covered.
