It's a great place to buy organic products. They have a huge variety to pick from. They carry a large selection of flour, fresh produce, honey, shampoo, soaps, conditioner, body wash, deodorants, bakery, meats and dairy. The best part of all is that it is Canadian and fresh produce are locally sourced and harvested.

While this place has a good selection of fresh local foods, we stopped in today and were very uncomfortable with the number of staff (3) who were indoors and unmasked while helping customers. It is worth noting that this was on a long weekend Saturday at a time when the Chilliwack area has some of the highest Covid-19 infection rates in the region. We have recommended this market to countless friends in the past but will be staying away for the time being, as it seems that customer safety isn’t being taken seriously here.

From my experience they only ever have farm fresh. I have never seen them bring in grocery store fruits, vegetables or other items. So worth the quick stop for fresh bakery items!

We always have good service at Anita's. They call the retail store The Local Harvest. Their staff is knowlegable and friendly. They always have what I need and a few more things as well. It being close to Christmas they carry organic candy canes for all the kids, big and small. Their products are varied, carrying such specialties as organic spelt, kamut, einkorn and emmer flours, in addition to organic produce. Their baking club is where I find some of my favorite recipies for using the spelt flour, since it can be tricky working the flour to liquid ratio. All around good place to shop for organic baking supplies and produce.

What a useless place. Stores like this are exactly why consumers are purchasing their merchandise online these days. I am trying to buy locally and support merchants in my community but when they do not answer their telephones or return calls I wonder "why bother with these idiots?" Here it is January 9, 2017 and they have not even bothered to update their answering machine that prattles on about Christmas hours. It really makes you wonder why people go in to business in the first place.

Its a nice store with great products However, cashiers do not have plexiglass dividers and none of the staff are using masks. I won't return until they figure out how to safely operate during this pandemic.

I love these organic milled products. Much less expensive than in retail grocery stores. They sell in paper packages in sizes from small to huge...I buy 25kg of oats and various flours. Organic Dried beans, flavoured olive oils and balsamic vinegars as well as local produce and a bakery. Last time I was there I tried their soup...was not a fan, next time I’ll ask for a taste before I buy a bowl. We shop here whenever we head to the river trail to cycle it. You should try Anita’s.

Visited this local shop while out in Chilliwack and found it to be a nice little surprise. The bakery, while limited in its options, makes fantastic quality items that taste delicious. Would recommend the deli sandwiches as well, they were fresh, well made and tasted fantastic. As is common with these little shops the prices were a tad high, but for local products the prices were reasonable.

Great veggies and fresh chicken was awesome. Don't agree with the policy of paying for bags! I spent almost $100 and you over charge me .25 for a bag! Your clerk said the bags cost you .25. BS, wholesale bags cost less than .05 when bought in bulk. This is a massive profit center for the store. Please don't dictate an idelology on me. Please change this policy.

If you want fresh grains of better yet, unground grains to grind yourself this is the place. They have from small, shelf sized bags, right up to large sacks of wheat and other grains. I highly recommend grinding your own grains. You will never go back. Commercial "whole wheat" flour has 100% of the germ removed, half the bran and has typically been treated with bromine, and it says nothing on the bag because it legally doesn't have to.

I love this place. I've had a reminder in my calendar for months to stop in while traveling to Vancouver Island from Calgary on vacation. It's even better than the last time I stopped in as they have built a fabulous store front market. Everything for sale is organic including all of their flours and other baking products. I stocked up on whole wheat and white flour as well as a variety of other flours they offer and other baking items. We were there at the perfect time for wood fired pizza right out of the oven. It was so delicious ????????. The service was outstanding. I needed to discuss flour varieties and the different grinds. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great chat with the young man who cooked our pizza. He was very personable and showed a genuine interest in us. We will definitely be back for pumpkins on our way back through Chilliwack.

We were hitch hiking from our boat to a hardware store on N. Pender Island in BC looking for propane. On the way we began talking about pancakes. I had forgotten to include pancake ingredients in our supplies. Across the country road from the hardware store we noticed a building with a veranda called, simply, Country Store. Looking to stock our larder for the following weeks we went in. In a few moments Maggie peeked from behind a row of shelves and said, "Here's some pancake mix!!" I checked it out, was impressed and quickly added it to our pile. I just put together Anita's pancakes for lunch and Maggie and I loved every bite. She said, "This is the best pancake I've ever had", which hurt my feelings a little bit since I'm pretty proud of mine but I had to admit she was right. These are the best pancakes I've ever had too!

Has a great range of fresh, local, organic produce as well as dairy, meat & other pantry items. They also have a bakery as well as on-site pizza oven in the back where you watch your pizza getting cooked (after ordering inside). The meat pizza was topped with meat AND delicious veg & had a crispy crust which I loved. I just wish they opened on Sundays too!
