I made the mistake of going in here just before Christmas. Lots of self serve check outs. One single cashier. Sorry I am not using a self check out unless you want to start paying me. Pro tip I don't work there. Employ some staff, self check out is terrible.

I come here often, and I enjoy it for the most part, but the manager is very rude when I come in. He asks stuff like "Are you gonna buy anything, if not you can leave." although I was only in the store for a little while, and he has ignored me asking for help before. Great pharmacy open until 10pm so if you have a late night visit to emergency at the hospital you can get your medications right away! Hats off to Jenna in Pharmacy for her patience and help in finding the right products and understanding a medical treatment program for a complex condition! Also kudos to Madison who was very cheerful and welcoming at the front till! Way to go!

Really impressed with the pharmacy at this location. I am always shocked at the efficiency of the pharmacists and how personable they are. There's a pharmacy tech that could use some sensitivity training amongst other things but as a whole this is how all pharmacies should operate. The rest of the store is just average aside from the gentleman in cosmetics who is awesome.

When your 9 months pregnant and you are not allowed to use the washroom. It's a sad world when there's no such thing as compassion to help out a pregnant woman who's only need is to pee while shopping. And..........wait for it. Last minute ONE kind employee out of two already asked showed great kindness and escorted my friend to the washroom. Thank you Shoppers Drug mart.

Wonderful location !! The ladies in the beauty department have taken the absolute best care of me. Always giving me extra samples and treating me like gold even in my work clothes! To the dude giving them one star because of them not letting a non patron use the washroom, what was wrong with the tourist bathroom 50 steps from the front door???? They have to deal with an enormous amount of junkies in that area bathroom restrictions are a liability concern.

New policy of not filling doctor faxed in prescriptions before you also call is ridiculous. Is there a difference between me phoning in a refill to an automated system and a doctor doing it by fax? Dr said pharmacy would call when ready, after 5 days, stopped in for pickup only to find prescription sits in a binder when received. So 2 trips, 2 line up (only 3 hrs inbetween) waits because they said they’re too busy to deal with it when received. Will find another pharmacy that cares and processes things in an orderly fashion. 2 other times no call from them re prescription either not ready or only partially filled (after 2 days refill wait). So extra trips and 10-30 minute waits. If that busy then they need more staff. Another time wait 5 minutes while they dig through drawers and bins to track down the prescription. A poorly run and understaffed pharmacy.

Horrible service! Disorganized with terribly rude staff and poor management. Cannot get through to staff and you are forced to drive down to speak to someone. They tell you a time to pick up a prescription and when you go it ends up taking half an hour longer. I cannot find the proper words to describe how terrible this place is. Never go here!

A surprisingly large selection of all kinds of food items, cosmetics, birthday cards, and of course medical supplies. Post office attached is handy as well, stamps and all packaging needs offered. The only issue I have ran into is the security guards being judgmental to the looks of a few paying customers that I have seen in the store over my many years of visiting the store.

My daughter and I were served by Alida in the beauty department and we were amazed by her knowledge of all the products available. She was able to advise us on the best brands for my daughter's skin type and was fun, enthusiastic and so helpful to both of us. They have a fantastic returns policy on skincare here, too, which gives us confidence in our purchases. I also love the greeting card selection in this store, especially the Thanksgiving ones!

Pharmacy staff are extraordinarily incompetent. They do not care about their customers. I dropped off a prescription at 4pm. Was told to come back at 5.30pm after arriving, I was told to wait an additional 5 minutes. 45 minutes later, I'm still here. Changing pharmacies soon.

I really appreciate the extra mile, most employees give to me and I see them do for others. No, not everyone meets our 'personal' perspectives, or expectations ????, but compared to other stores in town, I appreciate their customer service. As all stores... Know your prices, but they do offer some great sales. As for sales, they offer rainchecks, that are good for a month, if things aren't in stock. From my perspective, this is a wonderful little store, that has been around a very long time in the Southgate mall.

I called to inquire about getting a covid booster. The lady said they were not taking bookings over the phone and to come to the pharmacy to book an evening slot. I went to the pharmacy and there was no booking process, just dozends and dozens of people crowding around the pharmacy trying to get vaccinated. The pharmacy was crowding people together during one of the worst outbreaks in the area. So reckless.

Very incompetent staff. Tried making a straight across exchange, plus purchase a few extra items. It took three staff to try and figure it out. Wasting a lot of my time. I left with nothing, sorry shoppers but you keep that up and you'll be soon shutting your doors. Oh and not to mention the grumpy cashier at front yelling at customers to form one line with customers yelling back to make a sign that says so. This place is a joke.

Seems like looking through the reviews I’m not the only one. Don’t bother giving me a silly reply here. Do something about your store. 128 calls and their line is still busy!

Be prepared to wait on hold 15 or more minutes every time you call the pharmacy. Longest hold time was 45 minutes so far. Had time to drive there, go to the pharmacy and talk to a person there while still on hold.

If I could give negative number I would, this is complaint and also advice... The pharmacy here blew my mind in worst way today. This gentleman was in hospital getting help to improve himself and his life made choice to not want to do drugs any longer. The hospital set up for him to go to this location for methadone, first one is free thru the hospital the man is on assistance waiting for his cheque second day out of the hospital he goes in to talk with them, in my own opinon more steps taken than anyone else doing drugs on the street. He pleaded with the man for his dose methadone he will be back because the treatment plan the hospital gave to him. The denied him because he didn't have ten dollars. I realize that this cost money but he bagged and said I don't want to use drugs anymore bringing him self to tears and everyone else around him. He would have to come to that location for his doses anyways so it's not like they going to loose out and on top of that 10 dollars. This man is trying and we all stand around complain about the outcome and how the town looks and how their is (junkies) every where. So if man is pleading because coming off heroine is not exactly easy to begin with, we as society should be helping them help them self. Needless to say he has to wait two days, if you think he won't use during those days. Who is high really at that point. It was sad to see someone turned down. Specifically someone who finally said enough is enough. I hope there is resources out there that he knows of that can help him in better way. The system needs to change, and work with these people not against them. Could t give the guy grace period. When you hear someone pleading saying I don't want to use I really don't please! He will be back probably next three days anyways l.et's not make it harder than it already is. Not mention if he has been released from the hospital they too play a part in this. My advice is go back to the hospital keep trying buddy. Sending you so much support. Not impressed on how that was handled.

Michael took this action unsolicited and it has significantly reduced my prescription cost. I went there last night I picked up 2 bottles of cologne for myself. They had what I bought all over the speakers in the store. Had the security guy by the door just for me over 40 dollars worth of smell. Everybody here needs to take a crash course on custamer service. Absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to! I was contacted by e-mail to come pick-up my 3 month prescription renewal - "it's ready". After a long wait (typical here) I finally got to the front (1 clerk - "working") only to find there was only one 1 week of my 3 months of pills ready. I had to pay for the entire prescription (almost $400!) and then was asked to come back in a week. I went to get the rest today, waited again for a long time (again only 1 clerk - "working"). I get to the counter and am told "oh we don't have it" we'll have to order from a different supplier. So now I'm out of my prescription while I wait for them to get it in. I almost went through the hassle of changing stores last time this happened. Terrible terrible service! This time it's a done deal - sayonara Shoppers! Both my wife and I are moving to a store with decent service. The "owner" has replied and asked me to contact them at their general line 1-800-SHOPPERs - typical big store mentality. I attempted to do so and after following a maze of keyed responses and holding for 10 minutes due to their "high volume and demand" I hung up - not wasting even MORE of my time....

We were transferred to this pharmacy after our own pharmacy closed several years ago. It is always complicated, extra fees, insurance “works” half the time, I have had to revive our insurance info several days. When we get their “service” of contacting the doctors on our behalf to renew prescriptions, half the time it’s paying for nothing because they leave a message and if the doctor doesn’t respond, it ends there: but you won’t discover that result until you physically walk back into the pharmacy. When I registered for the flu vaccination clinic as someone who has the right to have a free shot, the pharmacy said no, that they were “out” of free vaccine and that I had to pay, and didn’t back down until the clinic nurse insisted. Their attitude at the counter, though at times ok, has often enough bordered on rude. They charge a dispensing fee on each month of medication even if you are getting 3 months at a time. We’ve given it several years, we’re transferring somewhere else, not worth the aggravation.

Overall, it was a poor experience. I was surprised they haven't made face masks mandatory yet since they're owed by Loblaws. The store was very crowded and everything was disorganized. I only needed a few items and waited in a long lineup, after was told that I should use the self checkout by one of the cashiers for faster service. I wouldn't recommend using this location if possible. Definity gone downhill in the last few years.

Post office workers may be incompetent, or just lazy. I had inquired as to the whereabouts of a package twice, and I had been informed that it was yet to be processed both times. This turned out to be wrong when I went to ask about my package in person and was informed that it had been processed prior to my first communique with them… Further, telling me that if I hadn’t picked up my package within a few days, they would have returned it to the sender. Another time when I tried to make a return at the cosmetics counter their system stalled for ten minutes, and I was told that I should try the main checkout… Which stalled for 30 minutes.

If I could give a zero I would. Pharmacy does not pick up the phone. I was in the phone loop for 16 minutes only to be bounced back to the main menu. Not an isolated incident. This has been the experience I have had each time I try to fill my prescription. Tremendously poor customer service. You have to actually drive down to their location in order to speak to someone. Will most certainly be moving my business elsewhere.

One employee confronted me about not wearing a mask, I had too tell 3 employees I don't need to because of my medical exemption. The last old man by the front wanted proof which I told him it states in the bylaw I don't need to show you proof. Then he said don't shop here then. So you're gonna treat people with a medical exemption like this. So if your gonna treat people like this then I won't. It's pretty easy for me.

The staff in general are great as is the pharmacy crew but there is one man who works the front cash and he is so rude and dismissive that it sours the whole positive aspects. Everytime I come here if he is working I try to avoid being served by him as the experience is terrible. I don't go to Shoppers as often as I used to just because of this one rude man.

Despite having a giant light up 5'x5' sign on their building that says "OPEN UNTIL 10PM" they apparently close at 6pm on Sunday. I was staying the DI next door and was counting on going here to get some food & drinks since it was within walking distance. The giant sign on the storefront lead me to believe I had all night to get there and when I arrived at 6:07pm to the locked doors and security telling me it closes at 6 I was quite shocked. Maybe remove or cover up your large, illuminated false sign. Thanks.
