My new go to for refilling large water jugs. Really like that the machine is in the back of the store and not right in the door way like other stores. You can take your time filling multiple jugs without being in the way of other customers. Lovely deli and produce options. Really nice local wine recommendations in store. Parking lot is a bit of a nightmare some times, but worth it.

I am very impressed with the quality of service provided here at this location. I have had fantastic service nation wide with Save-On-Foods. You do pay a little more for the food, but it is fresh and they are truly committed to quality. I find Save On Foods prices to be higher than most stores. The last few times I have gone the smell is terrible. As soon as you walk in the odor of old stale seafood hits you and personally makes me feel nauseated. I also think.that the new wine area is a waste of a big chunk of square footage. There is such a huge presence of Security now that I feel it puts out a message that Campbell River isn't very safe especially to an oooii88utsider .EDIT : the smell seems to have improved from how it was before .It had been bad for quite some time I would say over a year but now the smell is pretty much non existent!

I like its where I get my Lactose free 2% milk in a 4L but recently they all other milk in but Lactose milk i ask a staff member he told didn't bother to look in the back when i told him there was none on the shelves the store member told me if its not on the shelves then it didn't come in normally when all the milk comes in so dose the Lactose as well he also told me it on next week shipment but when I had to go there to get milk for my mom the Lactose milk was there it was there the other day store member was to dam lazy to go to the back get the milk for the customer and to put some on the shelves.

Very nice and clean, well stocked with fresh produce, although I dislike is the parking lot and actually getting into it from the road. Don't get me wrong, there is ample parking within view of save on, but the way its routed makes for driver frustration. With that being said, the access is great if you live at garrison crossing, which is still quite new as real estate goes, and very well maintained. Also, the prices are sometimes a little high which I suspect is because of the fact that at this end of town, there is not a lot of competition, and perhaps because of the residents of Garrison who tend to be more middle to upper middle class, especially when compared to areas around it. If you care to make a day of it, one may find several places to eat, have a coffee or pick up some wine for your evening guests, as well as a credit union and bank machine all within walking distance and within the same complex. So, I give it four stars only for accessibility, and 5 were it for the store by itself only. An interesting historical note: The metal structural piece on the sign above the entrance to Garrison Crossing was once a part of a military Bailey Bridge, Which in turn was used as the side rails on a platform which became the home of the Sherman tank "Carolina". When the museum she belonged to was relocated, the Sherman went further down Kieth Wilson to the military base, where she can be seen today.

As I browsed and took my time selecting products I found interesting, I was approached by two staff members who treated my like they were police officers and I was a wanted criminal. I was about to put a few things I found not essential for todays purchases and this is when they took my items and walked me to the teller as if I were an unwelcome customer. I am a mixed race female who has been mistreated by the male Caucasian save on foods staff in the past. Perhaps, my recent misfortunes of heat stroke and being hooked up to IVs made me appear as if I were a junkie, but I was embarrassed and brought to tears by the ignorance of such rude self-righteous "management".

I cannot handle the save on foods in Cranbrook. Don’t get me wrong, I love Save On foods but the Cranbrook store falls short in every single aspect. If I could give 0 stars - I would. I have had items stolen by cashiers, I have been refused refunds for them by management, the lines are always HORRIBLY long yet for the last three years I am told they are understaffed. With the amount of workers desperate for a job in cranbrook we know this can’t truthfully be the case. Not only this, the staff are always always rude. Also, prices are disgusting

I went into save on foods after purchasing a pack of cigarettes, I wanted too go buy something too eat ceaser salad and a bag of chips. I went into the chip isle and 2 of the workers came up too me and started WRONGFULLY accusing me of shoplifting. I don't steal, I hate theifs with a passion, they wouldn't let me purchase what I wanted and they asked me too leave, they cause me a bad anxiety/pankc attack.

Having shopped in Save-On-Foods in several cities I was absolutely appalled at the service here. On a weekend visit to Campbell River I managed to get two separate poor customer service situations. First time I tried to use the self checkout. The first item would not recognize I had put it in the bag. So I stood there looking around for anyone with the red light flashing on my checkout. There was no one at customer service and no one working the self checkouts. Finally a security guard walked by and looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and walked on. I went through the lineup at another terminal, and exited...noticing my self checkout terminal still flashing unattended with no one around. Second time I bought alcohol and had to wait at the checkout. There was only one checkout open. Again I noted no one at customer service. I waited and waited as the cashier dealt with two customers clearly taking time. She made no effort to call extra help, and to my surprise I noted several employees walk by during this time and no one seemed to care. When I reached her finally I expressed how poor the service was and poor service on a previous visit. She showed complete apathy. She called someone else over to ring me in because apparently she couldn’t. I told Al - Assistant Operations Manager how terrible I found the service. Again I was met with complete apathy. I noted his name tag boasted 30 years of award winning service. As much as I’d like to pin this on a checked out employee, the previous cashier had told me that customer service was only open certain hours (hours she couldn’t even confidently express). So clearly owner/management has made it clear on how important customer service is at this location. This Save-On-Foods still has the same prices and selection you might expect. But someone should be fired to make room for someone who wants the job of running a store with pride.

Disappointed in pharmacy’s level of service. We have been lifelong patrons of Savon. Last Sunday I cut myself and was advised to get a tetanus shot. I could go to the ER and wait hours and cost the health care system $600 bucks or someone suggested try a pharmacy. I called around and several pharmacies were out of the vaccine but we’re willing to provide a shot if they had one. I called Savon pharmacy in Cranbrook near my home, who had the vaccine but we’re to busy to provide it and said go some place else. I tried Shoppers in Kimberley who gladly provided a shot, even though they were also busy. Shoppers gets all our business in the future!

Many items are not in-stock (empty shelves) and constant issues with self check out. But don't worry! No matter how frustrated you get there will be no one to help you at all. Might as well just walk out with your groceries. I've tried going here multiple times and service is almost just bad everytime. Not to mention I found bird feathers in my strawberries the other day.... obviously not very cleanly either.

It's called Overwaitea, which is their original name. It's good. Like a SaveOnFoods, only smaller. I found everything I needed. (which was a roast chicken and salad for dinner)

Still don't think Grocery store should have a Wine Section . Miss some of the house brands (WF Salad dressing is better tasting than Kraft Miracle Whip and smaller containers of WF Coffee Whitener is soya based where as Coffeemate is Petroleum based).. I sometimes feel you don't promote your house brands enough !!!

I love that they carry Kootenay Meadows products, the produce is beautiful, great local and imported groceries, but be prepared to spend more than other grocery stores. Prices aside, they bag your groceries for you!
