My preferred London Drugs location in Nanaimo. Good service and nice staff willing to take time. Sadly I bought some magnesium powder that had been tampered with & was told it’s extremely common in this downtown location. But they gave me a refund with apologies. I also used to take my MacBook here for service but not sure if this is still an authorized Apple repair. Maybe someone else can answer that.

I was having a heck of a time deciding which way to go when I decided to join the world of mobile technology. I'll forgo the frustration stories of 'other' phones & PC emulators, because it was time to go NEW. First I went to a service provider, but I felt like I was intruding on their time opening boxes and they didn't offer me any suggestions. Then I went to London Drugs because I recall my good experiences there before & I was so happy I chose to follow those good vibes, because I walked out of there feeling like I'd just bought a Porsche...well, in comparison. Alexe was the most friendly, knowledgeable, patient 'mentor' I could ever have found and he truly made my day. I really love my Samsung Galaxy/Koodo/2GB/$65 package, and talk about features & freedom & elegance...now I can. Even more, my family & friends love that I am now mobile...yay!

Store was clean, staff were generally good. 2 stars : Customer service clerk attempted to throttle the amount of n2o cartridge packs I was buying from 4 to 1, after I informed her the limit at every other store is 4. A friend of mine also went in to buy some, she told him it was 2, not 4. Online, and in store, it says limit 4. I definitely don't appreciate someone passing judgement on myself or a friend because of their preconceptions/assumptions of the use of a product they sell.

Dave in the photo department was extremely helpful when I went in with my new film camera, having no previous experience using one. Based on the Pharmacy. Finally convinced grandparent to put pills into a blister pack, for convenience and safety. Pack had to be returned on THREE separate occasions before it was correct. Possible life threatening mistakes had they not be caught in time. Big Problem. and now Grandparent want to go back to pill bottles. Extremely unsatisfied with services provided.

This is not the case at all the staff here are pretty polite ( for the most part ) a quick look into Rudy's background reveals that they have claimed the same story at several different locations all within the same time period . Make sure you have a mask. Stay 4 arms lengths apart and stand in the timeout box in isle 2. Shop here at your own stress. Edit to owner: I had a mask. I was not in the way I was more than 6 feet away from anyone Yet your staff yells at me, not 3 old people blocking the middle center isle. Yes you are following safety. This is not the problem. How terribly rude your employees are is the problem. It's sad to hear your so ignorant of what's happening in your own store.

I love the variety of products. London drugs brand of products are very affordable and they work. I have tried several London drug named products and will continue to use any and or all products needed now and in the future. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Diane is just the sweetest. Over many years she has always remembered me and both my boys. Always great to see her beautiful smiling face. There are many more staff members I think are amazing but I can’t remember their names. However, the pharmacy wait can be ridiculous (I now drive further to go elsewhere) and today we asked a woman working in electronics if they had the Google Home in stock and she said, “I don’t think we sell that kind of thing here.” They do, so that’s a bit concerning.

They were watching me and my girlfriend like we were some kind of criminals and not only that the dumb security guard kept harrassing us about being on property while waiting for a cab to bring it home. Very small and busy London Drugs location. Staff are friendly and mostly knowledgeable but very busy. Good stock and seasonal items. There's a queue for the till even on slow days. The pharmacy always has a lineup, which is a narrow aisle with switchbacks and can be hard in a wheelchair if you're carrying anything. The Camera desk is often quite busy.

One star review is for the pharmacy, not the rest of the store. The Pharmacy is unable to keep track of prescriptions, refills, etc. I can’t count the times I’ve called to get a refill, given them way more time than they have asked for, still told to wait as it’s not ready, and then told sorry we can’t dispense your sons vital medication without more info from a doctor. They have done this so many times it’s past ridiculous. The worst part is the pharmacist blames the part time staff and the other staff blame the pharmacist. If possible, take your prescriptions anywhere else. The rest of the store is fine tho.

Another big box store, what to say... I have given this particular location a 4 star rating and a review simply to say that Addy is the man. I have returned here for replacement cell phones because he has been so helpful in the past. Unfortunately yesterday he was on his break when I arrived but it turns out my provider actually has the better deal on-line right now anyway. Addy has managed to erase $$ owed, negotiate a better plan for me for less $$ and actually paid me to leave the store with my free phone! No jokes. Thank you Addy, see you next time.

I give absolutly 0 star for london drugs downtown, nanaimo. I was there with my husband today to have our photo taken. I asked politely to the lady there to make it a bit brighter and clear as the photo was rejected last time. She made fun of us and said we can not make brown skin white. Such a racist comment from that lady is not at all acceptable. She kept on saying i cannot make my skin dark same as i cannot make you white. ( as there was a long line of customers enjoying the show) If this is your customer service we will probably take our business somewhere else. Totally unprofessional and racist.

When you enter the store from the parking lot its like running the gauntlet through skids and general Ne'er-do-wells on an american gameshow which is not only time consuming but frustrating as well. What a joke this place is they have listed on there website 3 Xbox one combo with battlefield 1 for $300 and change but when you go there to purchase the consel and game combo they are of course out of stock so why list on your website you still have 3 in stock I mean why waste your customers time! But oddly enough they are more than willing to sell a Xbox one and the game will cost you a extra $90 what a absolute waste of time sounds like a complete scam to me!

I like this London Drugs. Not only is it in a super accessible part of town, it’s also got a great selection! If I’m in need of school supplies I run here and get what I need in an instant! I’ve also noticed that the staff here are incredibly friendly and I always chose to checkout with a cashier rather than the self serve checkouts because I always have fun conversations with the cashiers! Despite the troubles downtown Nanaimo has, I enjoy visiting this store!

A good London Drugs with everything you would expect from one. They have an oddly appealing inventory with things I didn't know I needed until I see them on their shelves. The tech department is pretty standard though. You will always be helped but it drives me nuts that they don't scale their level of help to the conversation they are having with you. I have worked retail electronics before so I know what I'm talking about: when a customer comes in and says I'm doing this yadda yadda yadda, you listen to gauge how much they know....ACTUALLY know. They may know how to move pictures from a camera to their computer and think they are certified technicians. Or they may actually be certified technicians so you need to throttle your conversation as such. Sadly, which can only be attributed to the geek stereotype of low social skillz (see what I did there? :D), they go full geek on you thinking you don't know a damn thing. And this usually ends up with me saying, "I'm just looking, thanks."

I only use their PhotoLab to get film developed. The film is developed nicely but it typically takes at least two weeks to get it back. I wish there was another option besides London Drugs to get my film developed in Campbell River.

I went there for watch batteries and I asked the person in photo section area that where I can find it and when I tried to find batteries I couldn’t do that I asked for help second employee over there and he said sorry am busy. I Waited for 20 mins and nobody did care that I need help. I asked for help two times from two different persons but they don’t care. It was looking like they did not wanted to do their job. Then I did not like to buy anything from there and in future I would never like to go there again.

I've been here often. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. I got a replacement cord for my MacBook last time and had to wait at the counter for quite awhile because the poor staff member couldn't get out of a conversation with a guy who wouldn't stop talking. One bad experience was at the pharmacy, and I no longer get prescriptions there because of it. The pharmacist who was filling my drug order kept licking her fingers to separate paper. Ewe! Everyone except her was wearing a mask as well!

I came away with some new found knowledge and am happy to say I use my products every day. Generally an excellent shopping experience, but my recent trip to your camera counter proved total terrible. I stood and looked at your display of dash cams for over 10 minutes without any help from staff. There were two staff members in the section at the time, one male and on female, and they both ignored me completely. One even walked right past me to restock an upper shelf. After waiting more than 10 minutes to make my purchase, i walked down the mall to CanTire where a helpful sales associate was too happy to give me assistance and advice. Not a huge purchase, but $200 that went to your competitors. Not performance from your staff.

Always helpful, goes the extra mile, never makes u feel rushed and speaks so that u can understand the techie stuff. Today I took my Mum in there regarding an issue with her iPad. This pharmacy is a complete joke. They regularly lie about readiness of prescriptions, lose faxes and notes, ignore doctor's orders, and put accountability on other staff. On several occasions they have asked for "twenty more minutes", only to decide after that they need something else from the doctor. They play these stupid games with my 5 year old's seizure medication. Take your prescriptions anywhere else.

I have a prescription that has to be filled twice a month , if I don't have it I don't sleep , its now day 2 without being able to fill this prescription and I went down to London drugs expecting no problem they would for sure have it done and waiting ,how long does it take to count out 56 pills ? .......nope sorry we are just putting it together now but they have had the prescription for literally 2 weeks , so another wasted trip to drive all the way to London drugs yet again heading home without the prescription again , oh and did I mention its usually a half hour waiting in a line up each time ?? I had my 4yr old daughter with me so I had to go I couldn't wait another 20 mins for them get it done , which for me equals another sleepless night , this by the way is an example of several times driving ,waiting, and then going home with nothing , the people are very nice though , especially Darren in the pharmacy (nice young feller)but the process of getting a fax from a doctor and filing it seems to be big challenge at the downtown London drugs , has caused some not very nice nights, and worse days, the upside is it makes a person look for holistic alternatives which im sure are much better for a body .

Took my phone to have it available when the Apple service person came in that afternoon, saw that my phone was serviced and then called me tell of my phone’s status and delivered it to me at my home, as she said it was on her way home. I was very disappointed with the photo department today. I brought my infant in to have a passport photo taken, and was told they wouldn’t even try to take the photo. I have had several friends get passport photos taken of their infants at this same location in the past 1-2 months. I was given the phone number of a place in another community that wasn’t even open.

First of all everything is at least five dollars more than literally anywhere else you go. The cashiers are old condescending ladies who would do a better job serving at a highway diner. And what gets me the most is how many pharmacy people they have joking around and laughing with each other but when a customer comes up they're like "um I'll be right with you.." THEN THEY KEEP JOKING AROUND WITH THEIR COWORKERS. The absolute funniest part is how there's like several people working there and this rediculous hour and fifteen minute wait list for someone to literally put pills on a bottle. I guess i didn't know it's rocket science and takes an average of putting one pill in a bottle per minute but you also need those joking around with your coworker breaks. They should all be fired and find jobs at some carnavle where their work ethic is more acceptable.

I would like to share an incredible experience that I had yesterday with an outstanding London Drugs employee in Campbell River. Lars O. went above and beyond his duties to track down and order a 65" LG TV for me. This specific TV has been very difficult to locate and I have searched throughout several other stores without satisfaction. Lars worked with me for over an hour by calling numerous London Drug locations and was determined to stick with it until he found one. Mission accomplished! He not only located the TV that I was searching for but he also created an immensely happy customer. Thanks so much, Lars. You're the best!! Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

I would like to commend Paul in the technical services section. A year ago I had to replace my laptop hard drive. I was extremely satisfied with the work done by Paul at that time. However, the other day I was having an issue that I couldn't figure out (definitely operator error!) and Paul came to the counter and sorted it out for me. He was polite, knowledgeable and very helpful - and he also didn't laugh at me LOL. Thanks much to Paul!

Second entry (4 stars) after posting this review I am pleased that an employee (ryan) from london drugs contacted me in order to acquiqre more details with regards to my experience in the store. This proves to me that the store is dedicated to providing a good experience and improving there service. First entry (2 stars)Stood in the photo lab line for help for about 15 minutes with no one bothering to come over and help me. I had to ask an employee that walked right past me for help and then he called someone to help me out. Once I had my product printed I went to go pick it up and it looked fantastic. Ever since I have picked up my product I have received multiple emails saying that the product is ready for pick up even tho I have already paid for and gotten the product.

If you like to be racially profiled and called a thief before you even leave the store go ahead and don't mind coming by here they look at you from the cameras as soon as you walk in and have you kicked out within 5 minutes. Make sure you wearing clothing that's not expressing yourself or they will pick you out immediately for doing something a meth head would do.

Store is generally organized well and sales are good. I find that the staff at this location aren’t particularly friendly. I’ve never been greeted by staff here or approached to ask if I need help. Whenever I’ve needed assistance at this location I’ve had to go seek out staff member to help me. Also I prefer to go to the other location to avoid the drug addicts and homeless that hang around this location. It’s really unfortunate for the businesses in this area.

Very professional and they are a Apple authorized dealer. Came to port place mall today for a few items. Waited nearly 15 minutes for an employee to finally assist me when I asked her if she knew when they would be closing she ignored me. She then scowled at me as I walked around and looked at cameras. I ended up just leaving. :( Yikes

Awful place to pick up mail. Some problem between them and the Post office. Three ridiculous experiences to date. The staff in the computer department just do not want to be involved in the mail pick up operation. Why can't the post office use its own place on Terminal - staff are much nicer and much more helpful.

I decided to change my review because they surprised us by having my wife's medication on time this morning (unlike last night when they said earliest will be late afternoon). Not sure who did it but we're very gratefull for this and extremely thankfull especially during the crazy times right now. We understand how hard pharmacists are working during this crisis and thank you for your hard work. All the ladies in the pharmacy were very polite this morning. Also Faith deserves a raise, she's an angel. I still only gave 3 stars because they put us on edge and change their answers all the time when we call. We're gonna deal with the pharmacist manager only for now on so we can get a straight accurate answer every time. My wife's medication is very important for her well being and feeling on edge about if it's going to be done on time adds unnecessary stress to our lives. Thank you again to everyone who worked hard to get her blister pack done on time we truly appreciate you.

Drove all the way in to look at a laptop that it said had 3 in stock online then they don’t even have it. Had my mask (even tho I’m medically exempt and have a dr note) on but the guy was bugging me about it anyways and wouldn’t even look at my phone to help me/find the model I was looking at to buy. Then I go out to the parking lot and buy it online anyways but get a phone call today saying they don’t even have it online even tho it said they did and they charged my card and confirmed my order? They’re trying to give me a display one that everyone’s been touching and using for who knows how long now and won’t even offer a discount or rush order it for me. I am out work until I have a computer and this has all cost me more money and lost wages because of the errors in your website. It should not be possible for a customer to buy items online if they aren’t in stock and when you make a mistake you should apologize to your paying customer and make the situation right. I was told by the employee I could buy it online and then also buy the website. I would have picked a different one so I could be back up working ASAP if I’d known this one wasn’t actually available. Very disappointed. :(
