I recently moved to the area, and with my welcome package was a $ 20 gift certificate for Discovery Foods. It was a nice introduction to the area, and to a store I was not familiar with. I have been shopping there since arriving, and find the staff friendly, the store clean, and most things that I need on a daily basis (including gluten-free). As of tonight, for me, they are the store that provides everything.... including rescues. I was walking my little pup across the street from the store, and she ducked under the large locked iron gates of the market. I carefully tried to pull her out from under the gate, and her leash slipped off. She quickly headed into the empty market. I didn't know what to do, and on the verge of tears looked at the open Discovery Foods sign - and called them, explaining that I was new in the area, did not know anyone, and didn't know what to do. The young man on the phone said "I will be right there". and he was - with a treat. When the pup saw him, she came out from the stores, went under the gate and into his arms. I will be forever grateful and a customer for as long as I am in the area. Thank you Michael, and thank you Discovery Foods for hiring people who care.

Although I visit the store when in the area, I usually dont buy much, as there is often little in my budget range as a cost conscious shopper compared to some other grocery stores. I'd like to continue to shop local but I need greater enticement.

A bit expensive but we pay for quality and location. They are local supporters and focused on the quality and freshness of their products. Not only is their staff happy n friendly they are there for us. Clean and fully staffed.

Recently (21st) I had cause to visit you once fine store, much as I have done in the past five years I have lived in Campbell Rive/Willow Point area. I am handicapped, due to a once broken back, and must use forearm crutches to get around, and use a backpack to hold groceries while I shop. I was at the bread display, and picked one loaf and put in my backpack and zipped it up in readiness to select another loaf. One of your erstwhile employees stocking the dairy section noticed my furtive actions. He waved frantically toward me, then came over and accused me of shoplifting a loaf of bread, and the action of zipping up my backpack confirmed his suspicions of that dastardly deed. No explanation on my part mollified his accusations. I then preceded to inform him, in no uncertain terms how upset I was at his accusations. He then banned me forever from the store and demanded that I vacate the store immediately, via the entrance and never darken your doorway again.(my terms). The language I used is not repeatable here. I have been shopping all over Campbell River, Wally's, Thrifty's, Saveon, Super Store, and your store at Glenmore road in the manner discribed for instance, among others, and never once, ever, have I been accosted. Am I missing something here? Thanks for your time.

Small shopping centre! Prices aren't what you expect when you go to Walmart, Quality Foods or even Save-on Foods! Some items I've bought at those locations are some what cheaper! Went to buy some frozen treats for the kids! And just about flipped!! So instead of buying I waited till the next day

Good selection, but 'over priced'. You'll pay for the convenience of shopping in Willow Point. Drive to Campbell River if you have the transportation as you'll save more $.

I'm so disappointed that discovery foods would be ok to put the looks of this in a container to sell ( my husband paid 5$ for this mess) to a customer that chooses to shop there rather than Walmart or super store. This is the second time Iv been sideswiped by this grocery store. Clearly they are not that concerned about just one customer. I posted a picture of the blackened mess but it doesn't want to be seen here I guess.

The food is fresh but the cost compared to Walmart is about 10 dollar difference on only 3 basics like peanut butter coffee and milk thats to much of a problem on a fixed income.

Very handy place to shop for quick Items when you are in the the south end of town. Produce is fresh . A nice little deli and they do a great job of bringing on cashiers if there happens to be lines growing. The team is friendly and interested in assisting you. Parking is reasonable

Excellent produce, meat and dairy selection for a smaller size grocery store. Staff are courteous and attentive and demonstrate that they appreciate your business. The main downside from a larger store is higher prices. They do their best to compete and survive.
