I hate Sobey's so very much. Half of the employees have the personality of a tree stump, it's grossly overpriced, and their selection is crap. If you want to pay a lot but have good selection, go to Zehr's instead. If you want to pay a little but have no selection, go to FreshCo instead. Sobey's is the worst of both worlds. Awful, awful store. And chain.

The store has many selections, but there meats and other products are not fresh. Examples of this is the best before date on meats, compared to there packaged meats. There's a big gap in the best before dates, bake goods have a few days before expiration. Not to mention the inflated prices.

Here pretty much every day, multiple times a day. Very friendly staff and always have stocker what we need. For a small store they always seem to have what we are looking for, and I can get in and out with a full shop fairly quickly. They have the automatic tills which I despise but also manage to keep the tills staffed for guys like me who do not want to partake in extra work when buying groceries.

Wheelchair access. Produce pretty good, iceberg lettuce yuck! The 750 ml choc milk on for 4 for 5.00 should be the 1 liter. Bakery is good a little expensive but cakes are good. Deli is back open but bring your own bags or u will be carrying brown paper bags at 10 cents a pop. Lots of parking. You can buy the green Sobeys bags at checkout if u do not want brown bags. Hours are l think 8 am to 11p.m. but check before u go as hours change during Pandemic sometimes. Have to wear masks. Carts are disinfected for you.

Great customer service, particularly the young staff members. Their covid precautions are the best in any Cambridge grocery store. They reduce risk, eliminate long lines, quickly & efficiently process each customer all by simply having many, if not all their cashiers open during peak hours. It’s an obvious solution to over crowding in lines that many of the other grocery stores have not taken into consideration. Unfortunately, my complaint is about the new store hours. Opening at 8:00am is terribly inconvenient as I often need to pick up essentials before work. Now I need to go out of my way to a store that has reasonable store hours & are able to accommodate people who work.

By in large the experience you have as a customer is entirely based on the staff...in this sense the experience is second to none. In the year and a bit my wife and I have lived in the area, I have had the privilege of getting to know, albeit in passing, a great deal of the frontline staff at this store. These people are the reason I come back time and time again. Sure the store is well maintained, correctly laid out, and well stocked, but the people I met make the experience memorable.

We have started to go out to Sobeys at the Westgate Mall again after using instacart.ca from April to July. It seems very clean (floors, displays, etc.) and everyone is masked. Again we try to be in and out in 15-20 min. and the cashiers rolling checkouts are cleaned between each customer and the carts are washed. The only reason they get 4 instead of 5 stars is that the prices seems pretty high and they continue to stock U.S. items like Heinz Ketchup and Fairlee milk products it seems in preference to Canadian alternatives. But we watch carefully and buy what we feel comfortable with. Also, bonus, the LCBO is right next door and it is also very clean, monitored and easy to zip in and out of. :)

This Sobeys location is a fine grocery store. It is the only grocery store on the west side of Galt in Cambridge and is therefore conveniently located for many people. It is somewhat smaller than other such stores and does not have as much of a selection. It is also priced a bit higher than more bargain grocery stores. It does have good quality products. It also has air miles and is often a good source of air miles with regular promotions being held. It used to be open 24 hours which I found rather handy, but now closes in the late evening.

I wouldn’t say it’s any more expensive than Zehrs, the sales are competitive and they offer a selection of name brand/Compliments items. I typically shop here for their pre-made wraps and sandwiches for my lunch, usually pretty great! Convenient location, open till 11 which is late enough, and the store is quite small so you can just memorize where everything is easily. Also, love their selection of imported candy. Creative and unique flower department!

Really fancy grocery store with all the frills. I enjoy the fresh made section but have trpubke finding vegan and vegetarian options. I wish they made vegan sushi packs more often. Sometimes they habe a veg soup option but not very often vegan. Lots of parking and other handy stores in the same plaza. The plaza is usually a one stop shop for me on my way home from work.

Today was not the best experience for us. We fill our water jugs up here at least three times a week. Today we ask for caps for the water right away the lady working the self check outs says we are all out. Not even going to the back to check. I’ve been told by other staff there’s boxes full of caps in the back but staff never want to go get more. I then asked other staff to go look only for her to tell them she’s already looked and there’s none back there. My husband decided to ask a young man we know named Alex M he works in the seafood section. He went to the back and found boxes full of the caps. He brought it to the front for us. Well lady working the self check out maybe you should find another job if you aren’t willing to be honest and help regular customers that are in that store more than five times a week. Store in general is blah, their produce seems to be 1-2 days old and they didn't have good quality at the Deli. I was standing in line to check-out when I saw a cashier name Lisa( I know this because I asked the cashier I went through-if she shouldn't be helping customers), at the courtesy counter socializing with a group of friends, while there were huge line up's...is it just me, or could she not have serving paying customers that were waiting in line up.

I find that this store has often not so fresh produce for high price on top of it! They are not consistent with stocking some product. The bakery is great but don't bother in the morning if you want bagels, buns or bread because it's not on a shelf until later! Friendly and helpful staff!

Sobey’s over pandemic not priced couch like other grocery stores in Canada and in the neighbourhood the direct competition has done nothing but make the profit. I have complained about an employee at Sobey‘s to the manager I listen to it today talk down again to another customer I spoke to the customer telling her I have complained individual mentioned that she’s complained several times about this individual who is a supervisor so with at at Westgate nothing nothing has been done it’s been more than one complete by myself and I know other individuals this individual should not be working or have some retraining for customer service so he’s lax customer service in store prices are good product is good some individuals are excellent but unfortunately this individual really takes the store down this would be a five star of my in my estimation of this individual got some trading but because of her presents I can only say there are three star sincerely each HDJ Landry

Very impressed with the party catering. I have always prepared the food for our parties. We had a baby shower and decided to order the food to help ease the work. We were so impressed that we will do this again. The fruit and veggie trays were fresh and vivid with colour and flavor. The sandwich trays were a mix of 5 different sandwiches, all good choices and all delicious and on really nice fresh bread. Loved the egg salad and tuna. Don't hesitate to order from Sobeys for your party.

They have a selection of items made locally, which is nice. The store is clean, small. The prices are generally quite high. I do not shop there on a regular basis. I always check their flyer and sometimes they have absolutely fabulous bargains . You should compare prices if you do not want to pay more.
