I have been using the service more than one year and been thinking to write a review for a while but never get the chance. I will begin with the bad then discuss the good.
The most urgently needed for this business is to improve its customer services. I spoke with the owner a few times over the phone and I am sure they do not have a dedicated customer service staff. This is like you did 90% of great things but the remaining 10% is missing. The owner always say short of staff, but if you want to provide the best services you need to get the staff.
That being said, I think this is probably one of the most underrated businesses in town. It is underrated because of its absence of customer services, but is core business is really amazing.
The product are carefully selected and meet most of my families’ daily need. The quality is five star, though some items are just so so occasionally. Some items can surely beat every other businesses (including biggest chain stores!): the Huttertie eggs, the grass fed short ribs, the tropical fruits etc. the blue crabs definitely the most valued.
The website is probably the best I ever used for grocery shopping. I used and still using other big and small companies for grocery delivery but it’s website is superior. Most features are carefully designed, even though it might bring some confusion at the first time. For example, they donot charge my credit card when I place the order but do get pre authorization. The payment is charged only after the order is fulfilled. The group feature is amazing as well and I donot need to search to find an item (the search feature does need to improve).
Last the people working there are generous and honest. I appreciate it a lot. The delivery seems is done by a third company and seems ok so far. And I will leave it for now.
And for all these reasons, I would give them a 4.5 star, and the missing .5 star for missing of customer service. Obviously google would not allow a 4.5 star so I am giving a 5 star.
