I love this store. Ever since the renovations I've stopped in often for select items. Not for everyday groceries, but when I want quality fruits and veggies, or unique things I may not find at the budget grocery stores I go here. Their fresh made salads are also awesome, I was a little disappointed when they changed the pricing though. They did lose a bit of business from me there, I was there twice as often when they were $3.99.

Good grocery store, great ready to go sandwiches for lunches. The pre-made meals and seasoned meats are always a favourite. So easy to just put those tins in the over and throw them out, easy clean up! One thing I do ask.. if you are listening.. another location used to pair up 'stirfry assorted vegetables' free with a purchase of their steaks strips, chicken strips, or shrimp. It was a cool incentive for easy nightly meals... even if you offered it at a discount, it was always a hit in st catharines location. Regardless, good store

Nice big store-lots of variety BUT the lack of checkouts is a serious design flaw. I was in a hurry-big mistake to shop there- and had to wait 14 minutes in line before the cashier started on my order. Only 2 checkouts were open,( both with long lineups), and the self serve-which was lined up as well. I do not use the self serve because there's always things that do not register properly and then I have to wait for a cashier to come over and it ends up taking longer and more hassle than its worth. This was a Saturday in December. Open up your checkouts!!!

Finding basil was way more difficult than it needed to be. I understand their going for the market feel but how about keeping the basil with or at least near the place where all the other herbs are kept. Produce and meat departments are top-notch, and they have lots of food choices for alternative needs. Prices are very high, however, so if you're on a tight budget I'd recommend a discount grocery store instead. But if you want the best, they are every bit as good as hugh-end Fortinos or Longos.

Amazing service at the food counter. I went there for lunch while in the area for work, and as soon as I entered the location a gentleman was ready to take my order at the food counter. He was the only person behind the counter and still had my food prepared quickly. They were attentive, prompt and polite. The food was delicious. I would highly reccomend this location.

Changed my rating to one star. I don't care how close to home this store is anymore. I'd rather drive a bit further to Fortinos or Longos for FAR superior quality. This Sobeys is concentrating on redesigning the store while ignoring the real issues like expired and moldy product on the shelves. The produce section is overpriced and the shelves always riddled with old withering produce and I usually have to forgo buying items I need because they are poorly stocked or rotting on the shelves. They recently took away any incentives and only put product that is going bad on sale. I won't be shopping here anymore. Get your priorities straight.

Great staff, product, atmosphere. PAPER bags are used it you do not bring your own reusable bags. I really appreciate this environmental decision. Paper bags are a little more cumbersome, but worth it considering the lesser carbon footprint and biodegradability. Prices similar to Fortinos and Longos. Never very crowded. Highly recommend.

Only 2 stars and even that it's a little bit pushing it! This is a 24 hour store which, by 7:30PM has no more cooked food to offer. I love their chicken but by 7 PM it's all gone and judging by the fact that they are already cleaning their rotisseries, they are not cooking anymore either. Seriously? Maybe the reason there are no customers in the store at that time, has something to do with it... in comparison, there is Fortinos and there is Costco. Both stores still cook chicken at 7:45PM... I know this for a fact after walking out of Sobeys empty handed, I went over to Costco. I used to like this Sobeys store... now it's a waste of time! More than half the time you can't find what you want to buy anyway.

This is a nice middle to high end grocery store. The prices are a bit high but you can usually find good deals. At the time this review is being written, if you spend more than 30 dollars on produce, you get a 10$ gift. This offer is only valid Monday through Thursdays. This makes it my favorite store when I'm shopping in the week days. You can use the gift card in other Sobeys brands like FreshCo. It has a good variety of vegetarian and vegan products, and usually has good deals on organic produce.

I needed a question answered and the woman that works in the meat department, she was busy and she stopped and took the time to answer my question and even brought me to the area that sold the product I needed Its so nice to get an employee that is not irritated because I needed a question answered.

I have been a customer for many years. On march 27, 2020, I was shopping in your store, and I was shocked to see the increases of many items. I was shocked to see the price of zero coke. Coke, which used to be two cases for $5.00 gradually increased and you jacked up the price to $5.78 for a twelve can carton. Shoppers Drug mart sold an 18 can carton for $4.88. On my last visit, March 27, you jacked up the price to an unbelievable $6.49 !!! Are you gouging customers because of the Covi-19 situation? It sure looks like it. Incredibly expensive. I used to love having this as 24/7 emergency spot. I'd never do my standard shopping here simply because the prices can be outrageous but in a jam at 2:30 am it's the first place i thought of. Sadly, in the beginning of 2018 they changed their hours to 7:00 am to midnight which caused it to lose a great deal of its appeal. I will admit that I still stop by regularly as i find there's a few products that only Sobeys regularly stocks.

I work in the area and frequently grab lunch from the food counter, the staff here fail to meet food safety standards regularly! Commonly using the same cotton and rubber gloves to clean and handle food; absolutely disgusting! I have complained to management three times and nothing has changed. I will be posting online about every food safety violation from now on.
