Today I had my first visit to Samir Supermarket Burlington location Store is very clean and tiday, have lots of variety. Butcher customer service was good The item on flyer that attracted me to visit was sold out. One item has a shelf price of $1.99, the register brought it as $2.49 Casher customer service skills is not very good. Some fruits is not fresh like peach Prices is above average on most items. I wish success for this business

Samir's is a wonderful store.with great stuff, awesome baklava, and by Canadian standards 'exotic' meat choices which just means that they have things like oxtail, lamb and goat they're also a real butcher that will cut me the way you ask. I would recommend this to anyone who actually wants to have a good experience when it comes to meat it's not just buy something packaged already. It is halal so I don't expect Polk although they have pretty much all the other four-legged farm animals there and two-legged. I’ve been driving either to Hamilton or to Mississauga for all my ethnic food needs. Neighbour told me about this place and we went the next and pleasantly surprised. These guys carry pretty much everything that I would need for my weekly ethnic foods and maybe 95% of the special rarity items for those rarity foods. Super happy that they are here. Small store, decent amount of parking. Some things are fairly priced, others not so much. I came here to buy the sweets, the ordering process is already difficult and on top of that the lady spoke very little english. However, the sweets tasted fresh and they had a large variety as well, but definitely not worth the price we paid. Probably wouldn’t come back here.

We moved to Burlington 2 months ago. They are always friendly, always helpful, and know my polish wife on a first name basis. The employees here are amazing and the meat amd produce is good as well. The Baklava is unreal it's so yummy.

Amazing halal meat quality! They do a good job on cutting and cleaning various meats. A very good variety of general grocery and baked goods. Clean and well maintained store. They gave some pretty nice discounts in their weekly flyers.

I love this store so much! I spent a lot of time in the produce section and bulk spot getting veggies and nuts for my parrot. I really feel like I can trust their product, more than the same products that come in separate packaging. I also really appreciate all the things they’re doing to limit the spread of COVID-19, with their floor decals, plexiglas screens, and staff sanitizing customers hands as they come in. I definitely feel safe shopping there!

Such a treasure to find and it has all the things you might be missing if you've moved to Burlington from a more diverse city like Mississauga. They've got everything from spices , to coffee, a full section of nuts and dried fruits, halal meat section ,produce and absolutely wonderful collection of freshly prepared sweets ! Actually i would like to change the rate to 5 ⭐ , i always have great experience in shopping st sameer store my only complain about customer service at meat department, and again not all of them , just one person at meat department must be rude and have no patience withe me , today i was in sameer store in Burlington its first time i go there i always go to upper james store , what happened is me and my wife asked for 5 kg ground beef ,and when he was start fill the bag my wife asked him nicely to give her from the ground beef on the top , he start being rude and said some words i don't understand and then instead put back the bag and give the customer what he wants witch is me and my wife, he throws the bag of meat inside the fridge with angry

I usually drop there from time to time for bread and some canned foods. I have bought frozen fish from them too. BUT I've bought meat from them 3 times. The lamb is pretty standard Ontario lamb. There is no grading for that. I bought "veal tbone steak" once and after BBQing, it was like rubber. Not eatable! Yesterday I bought "veal ribs" and after hours of smoking, it was again not eatable!! Threw it all in the garbage. Let me say this, I know the difference between beef and veal. I've tried beef/veal from Costco, which is NOT halal and the meat melts like butter in the mouth. So it's either not veal that you're selling. Or really cheap beef that you're selling. Not for the sake of halal meat reputation, or for us, your customers, but strictly for your financial benefit, try to sell your customers meat that's eatable at least. Your markup on meat is so high, I'm sure you can offer us humans meat not meant for animals.

Just did my first shopping there, the place looks clean not like Hamilton site ! I bought various food from it, they have on shelf’s putrefied olive that I didn’t know are bad till I open the package at home. I am not sure if I will trust this shop again. I have some suspicion about all of the goods now especially they are selling meat ... public should be careful

Samir Supermarket is well located and close to home. They offer fresh fruit and veg as well as dry goods, rice, tea, south Asian snacks, great butcher and cuts of meat. The butcher helped me select the perfect lamb and cut it to size for a recipe I was trying fit a Persian lamb stew of tomatoes and cinnamon. The tamarind sauce and condiments and chutneys here are great. You can find many spices, tea, Turkish delights, nuts, all kinds of foods. Many foods snacks and spices featured are common to Arab, Pakistani , Indian and Afghani cuisines. Trying new foods or flavours is a delight and Samir’s Market is a great place to explore and handy local grocery market for those who live in Burlington.

Nice store. Has a lot of desi products. Burlington needed a store like this. Vegetables and fruits are fresh. Quality of beef is good. As for the shopping experience, I bought some whole chicken from here over the weekend. I specifically asked the skin to be removed and cut into small pieces. But when i opened the bag at home most pieces still had skin on them. Need better job to be done here.

It is a good place to buy halal grocery. They make some sweet dishes too, like Zilabi, Baklava etc. Clean place and good staff. It is small place but not crowded. Meat are good but no fish now. They may bring in some fish like Ruhu, Mrigal, Katla later. This store is only 1.5 months and the challenge will be to keep up to the quality in term of cleaning and managing food quality. Hope they will manage the store in a better way comparing to other halal stores nearby.

I go here mainly to buy meat and they have good regular offers on. The meat is fresh and of good quality. The service is also very good and fast. Most meat types are in stock. It is a clean and organized butcher. They have good groceries as well, the selection of Arabic/Indian foods and spices are large.

Edit: April 2021 - I’ve found some items that are extremely overpriced compared to other Middle Eastern shops (e.g. dry fava beans are more than three times the price of those in other shops). —— Don’t need to buy my Middle Eastern goodies from Hamilton, Oakville or Mississauga anymore! Love the wide assortment of fresh marinated meats, and the freshly baked Afghani bread.

Poor infection control precautions. No staff wore masks, and no signs about which shopping baskets were sanitized. Cashier donned a single glove to handle my purchases and BLEW INTO IT to make it open easily. Friendliness & helpfulness needed work too.i stood at the bakery counter for some time while two nearby staffers chatted and ignored me. Others who walked past me in the aisles acted like they hadn't seen me.
