We have been going from opening of this store and have not been any issues. Food, produce,fruits and others items are great selection and very good quality. We did try the cooked meals, soups and pizza and amazing flavor and fresh ingredients. Also tried the coffee there and really good difference and excellent service. Overall very satisfied and will continue to shop there. Thanks to amazing staff that are available for any questions and very friendly and professional. Great job bringing this store to Burlington. I've been told this location (Burlington) is much larger than other locations of Nature's Emporium. Inside the BEAUTIFUL exterior is a grocery store with fresh produce, non perishable groceries, and a huge array of supplements/vitamins. I'd say prices were a little more expensive than at a regular grocery store, but I did buy some organic Royal Gala apples on sale for $1.99/lb. In a separate area of the store was a snack bar that will whip up made to order smoothies from an extensive menu of healthy choices, as well as offering coffee and a large selection of teas. There was also a selection of very yummy looking baked goods, which are all natural. A generous slice of cake was $2.99. There was a seating area for customers to enjoy their snack/beverage. Parking is free and plentiful.

Great selection - almost too much. Take some time and wander around if you have a moment - will find things here that may not be elsewhere. Prices are a bit on the higher side when compared to other local organic produce at either other health food produce stores or local chain grocers. Boxed stuffs can be found cheaper, but the selection is better here. prepared foods are always fresh and hot (or cold), and their baked goods are both in store and brought in. they carry a good selection of Dufflet cakelets watch out for their flyer, as their sales are usually great

Michelle on cash is rude, short and doesn't care about the environment. "Plastic bags are classy" was her exact comment to defend why the store doesn't charge for plastic bags. Wouldn't hurt for her to smile once in a blue moon or say thank you to her customers. On a positive note, Nicole on the other hand should get a raise. Not only is she so friendly and knowledgable but she makes a damn good pizza too.

So happy there is an organic health store around the corner now! But on a personal note, just want to give a shout out to the amazing staff. My 15 month daughter (greatly affected by daylight savings) was asleep on my shoulder my entire time there. By the time I got to checkout, my arm and shoulder were totally numb. The cashier so kindly unpacked my cart for me, while another very kind staff member rushed over to help pack up everything for me and walk all of my bags to my car! All while my daughter stayed fast asleep. I felt really special and am very thankful to the kind staff at Nature's Emporium Burlington.

During COVID lockdown previously they disallowed using your own bags and provided free disposable plastic bags. Now they are back to their compostable bags at $0.20 a piece which just broke on me coming home and also caused some damage to my groceries. Paying top dollar for purchases I expect more than this for a premium priced retailer.

Juiceppe’s Cafe, Nature Emporium’s juice bar, makes the best smoothie bowl I have ever had. It’s the Breakfast Açai Bowl, and it’s so healthy, delicious, and made with the highest of quality ingredients. I’m very loyal to that smoothie bowl now, and the girl that usually makes mine, I believe her name is Vanessa, makes it the best and always puts lots of coconut whip and lays the fruit with care. I wish there was a tip option! Although it’s on the pricier side, it’s totally worth spending the money because I know it’s the best of the best, I’d eat it every day! So I highly recommend trying out Juiceppe’s and the Breakfast Açai Bowl!!

It was very sad today, this was my favorite store until today. We know that scaring people lowers the immune system our bodies produce cortisol that stops the defense of our system. and that is exactly what they do before entering the store, a very dry person like a robot with no friendly appearance and no courtesy, she is there step in the middle of the door asking questions, then they force people to cover their noses. Covering the mouth maybe can help not to spread the virus if an irresponsible person with a cough comes to the store. But covering the nose is only to prevent breathing the virus, in case that the virus can be alive in the air, what is very rare. So covering your mouth can be ok, but covering your nose for what? this practice can be so bad for people who work there also and it need to be an election and the risk for customers who want to no to cover the nose. These new rules have a purpose to make more people sick them more people dead to risen the number that is the only interest of someone that we don't know yet.

Dear retailer, on mother's Day I had to stand up against one of your summer job kids, and remind him that in Canada some people are immigrants and do not understand , and should rephrase if someone does not understand. He treated very poorly a customer. He also said and I quote "I don't know if you knew, but by law we can not accept cash", my mom as business owner said it is not by law, it's a retail choice. Which is fine, due COVID times, triggering a very defensive slightly aggressive tone in your employee. I feel kids are good following guidelines and I respect and admire that they are working, but in my opinion the entitlement of deciding who goes in the store or not should be left to someone that understands, that when a person does not know what your saying can rephrase , and someone that can control his emotions and not respond back to a woman with a lot more age than him with arguments like "by law". I will not stop going to the store but to see him will remind me to a moment when on Mother's was treated very bad.

They refuse to honor mask exemptions even though it's a specific requirement in the by-law to do so. This is a Human Rights issue and I'm appalled that they would take this stance, despite the requirement to allow medically-exempt individuals to shop in the store. I'm disappointed. This used to be my favourite go-to store ... not anymore. And just to be clear IT IS a human rights issue becaue the options you offer are not comparable to the enjoyment and flexibility of an in-store experience. You can't see what freshly made items are available for purchase, nor can you know what's in stock or what may be an in-store special/sale. So, although I see that you claim your lawyer assures you it's not an issue, it most-definitely is. Your alternatives are NOT comparable and are blatantly discriminatory. You should get a better lawyer. I offered to wear a small chin-mount face shield and was denied. I am unable to wear a mask. You're really not leaving me any options but to despise your store and it's abhorent policies (and don't even get me started on the "greeters" at the store entrance ... ugh!)

Nice enough place. Isolated in a quiet strip mall that has limited amenities. Parking is available. Decent and small without the bigger Whole Wallet feel. Pricing is about the same. They have a variety of products and the same health food vein. Decently high quality with passive service. In store cafe that is nice with an outdoor patio. Worth checking out if you need natural or alternative health food and need a break from Whole Wallet but want familiar products.

Absolutely love this place! The food is always delicious, healthy and very well presented. Staff for the most part is always friendly and helpful, except for the juice bar, they always seem a little unhappy or unenthusiastic. We LOVE this store - PLUS it's only 15 min from Milton! Hands down the closest organic store for us living there. The produce is all organic and very fresh. I don't mind paying more for organic and I'm tired of seeing wilted/sad produce at the other grocers out there. Some of the highlights is that this place is a one stop shop. You won't have to go to multiple stores to buy all of your organic, healthy, gluten free or vegan products. Lots of variety and their hot and prepared food section is yummy. Great supplement section too. We've tried Goodness Me (but produce isn't as plenty or as fresh), Organic Garage (best prices, but limited - I have to go to multiple stores to do my grocery shop), Whole Foods (unimpressed. especially how they charge organic prices for conventional produce). Good job Nature's Emporium!

Forget Whole Foods ... this is a great store that I often go to. In addition to the regular grocery store offerings, they have a HUGE section for vitamins, supplements, and other herbs as well as cosmetics, soaps, shampoo etc. They also have a great selection of essential oils and brands I haven’t found anywhere else. There’s a patio and a cafe with a big selection of hot/cold drinks and juices. They’re a bit pricey but that’s not uncommon. The bakery seems to have fewer options than Whole Foods, but still good. The service is hit or miss, but generally good. I highly recommend this store if you’re looking for organic and healthy foods in Burlington.

Nature's Emporium supermarket has an outstanding selection for everything organic! I live in Toronto and travel to Nature's Emporium every couple of weeks to buy things that my smaller organic grocer in Toronto does not carry. In addition to having a wide selection of organics, the staff at Nature's Emporium are very knowledgeable. I received excellent recommendations on toothpaste, lip balms, etc from the staff and love the products that they recommended. If I lived in the west-end, closer to Burlington/Oakville/Hamilton, I would definitely consider Nature's Emporium as my primary grocery store.

I have sensitivity to fragrances and the bathrooms have auto nebulizers that spray horrible chemicals into the air. perhaps a beeswax candle or a good extraction fan if you are worried about odors.

Love this place!!!! It’s my home away from home. I’m from the West coast where organically grown and natural foods are available everywhere at a reasonable price. Nature’s emporium is my favourite Ontario organic grocer!! They have a great selection of produce, meats, in-store made salads, broths, and soups, etc... Their bakery section has many gf options. The store is large, clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Usually to buy organic in Ontario, it’s a lot more expensive than the West Coast however the prices at Nature’s emporium are reasonable.

It was my first time shopping at Nature's emporium, as I am new to the area. I have been to another natural food store in town called Goodness me and had a very pleasant experience. I entered with my infant when the woman who is designated as the greeter with her 'security theatre' table barked at me ' miss! You need hand sanitizer' I said 'that's okay I actually just used some before coming in' her voice became more panicked and aggressive and she said 'no, you have to use hand sanitizer before you go in ' I was practically blind at this point because my glasses had fogged up from my mask, I have my little one with me and I said fine and she squirted hand sanitizer in my hand and I went in. After that uncomfortable 'greeting' I really had no desire to have a leisurely shopping trip, and I quickly grabbed the items I came for and didn't bother browsing and potentially buying more. The store was practically empty and the workers there seemed sad, the whole store had a dystopian feeling even more so than most stores you visit these days. The woman at the cash was friendly and the greeter was nearby so I said to her that this was my first time at this store and her energy and attitude was very off -putting and immediately put me in a state of unease. For that reason I probably will not return to this store. Their prices are higher than most natural food stores and the experience was generally unpleasant.

Just as I finished paying for my groceries, I realized that I needed a couple of more items. My husband took the groceries to the car, while I quickly went in again to pick up the items needed when, I was rudely approached by an employee in the groceries that my mask was made of one layer and I should not be allowed in the store.. He offered me another mask to wear on top in order to continue my shopping.. I told him that I suffer from low blood pressure and in turn have difficulty in breathing and masks make it worse. I asked him if I pass out in the store and get injured, would he be responsible for that. He told me to leave and order on line from now on wards. I have been a regular customer there since they opened. What arrogance!! Total disappointment

This rating is based solely on my wheatgrass experience here. I always buy my wheatgrass shot at a competitor's store, about 5 minutes away from this store. But one day I was passing Nature's Emporium and decided to pop in to have a wheatgrass shot. The young lady working at the juice bar was serving a customer before me and took their cash by hand. Then she rang in my wheatgrass shot and then proceeded to take the wheatgrass by hand and put it into the juicer, WITHOUT gloves and without having washed her hands (I watched the whole time)! Handling the wheatgrass should require the use of gloves, especially after handling money and touching the till and who knows what else. In addition, the wheatgrass that was used was pre-cut wheatgrass from a plastic container. Everything I have read, and according to my Naturopath, wheatgrass must be cut fresh from the soil right before juicing to reap the benefits. I've read and been advised that the nutritional properties are active for 10-15 minutes after being cut. Needless to say I didn't drink it and will never return. I will go to the competitor's location where the employees always wear gloves, where they cut the wheatgrass fresh (which is still planted in soil at the time of cutting), and where, yes, the wheatgrass is organic too!

My daughter is vegan and I’m pescatarian it’s so great to have a store that carries only organic produce of high quality and has specialty foods and gluten free options. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they’ve set up quite safely considering Covid19 and customer safety. My favourite store to shop!

This is one of my favourite places in the world. I know it’s just a grocery store, but hear me out. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and as a result, I tend to use a lot of obscure supplemental ingredients which I can only ever find at Nature’s Emporium. Their hot food counter is also so yummy. Their staff is extremely helpful and friendly (I asked for a juice once that wasn’t in the fridge it’s usually kept in, and before I was about to check out, the staff I asked for help tracked me down and said he found it in the back). This place is a haven. Sometimes my friends and I will just go there to hang out & browse because we love it so much haha. Just have to say, prices are high.

Don`t get me wrong this is a great store. What i take issue with is the prices, the first month it was open the prices and selection and freshness of produce was excellent. Since then they have skyrocketed prices and unfortunately they have gone the Goodness Me and Whole Foods route. At first it appeared here was a store that was concerned about bringing healthy and organic produce and supplements to a local community but now they clearly only care about making as much money as they possibly can, some items have almost doubled in price since they opened. Shame on them, i will get my supplements online or at Healthy Planet as the prices are much better and sadly go back to the grocery stores for my produce as i cannot support a store that so blatantly is money gouging (at least with grocery stores they don`t hide the fact they are doing it under other pretenses such as caring for the local community).

I am happy that Nature's Emporium has been able to do what Mrs. Green's could not. It is a full scale grocery store with a robust supplements department. That said, some items are pricey and could be found for less I the health food section of Fortinos. Some of the staff are friendly. Some avoid eye contact and don't say good morning, even if you say it first. The coffee counter at the front has an amazing turmeric latte and I like that the store has it's own house brand of products such as dish soap and laundry detergent. I really like this store because it carries some items that I can't find at the other health food stores in the area.

Original 2018 review: Spotlessly clean, good variety of organic and non-GMO products, decent number of items on sale weekly, generally higher prices but you can get products not available at the large chain supermarkets, lots of helpful staff. Bought the feature wild sockeye salmon yesterday at the store. It had a fishy smell when taken off the package and worse after it was cooked. It was rancid! I had to take it back. Our dinner was spoiled. We are really disappointed. We shop at the store few times a week and have been happy with the experience until now. Our kitchen still smells like rotten fish.

If I wrote this review within the first few weeks of the store opening, I would have scored it higher. It is a beautiful store. It is very large and bright and fresh. It has a huge selection of products and food (although we find the prices much higher than many other competitors). For the most part the customer service is great (a few exceptions). But the reason I am writing this review now is that we are totally disappointed with the hot prepared foods. The first few weeks the hot prepared foods were amazing! We picked up food for our family 4-5 nights a week after work (around 5:00 pm). We raved about the food to people, encouraging them to try it. But after a few weeks, the quality and selection deteriorated. The first few weeks, the quality was amazing, there was awesome selection, and the food was fresh. I don't know what happened, but it fell apart in my family's opinion. We have been in probably 12 times since then as we haven't been able to buy anything. On multiple occasions, many of the food trays have what looks like scraps where 90% of the food is gone and 10% of the dried out bits remain. And this is always at 5:00 pm, prime time for fresh food to be available. In this case, if they do not have anything to replenish, they should be removing the tray as it is better to have nothing, than unappetizing scraps. Also, the selection has been really poor lately. At first there was always a couple chicken options, some beef options, some pork options, some fish options, as well as vegetarians and vegan options. Lately, the selection is much less. We are truly disappointed because we eat organic and have very busy lives and don't have time to cook dinners each night. We were very excited at first to have some delicious, organic, hot prepared food options, but now we will have to drive further out of our way to a competitor's location as we have given it at least 12 more chances and nothing has improved.

The place was busy which is a good sign and everyone I ran into was extremely helpful and friendly. I wouldn't be one of their regular customers because I tend to favour lower priced grocers. But they still had some decent sale prices and very ecclectic and interesting selection. I will definitely be back

Ever since the pandemic the vibe is really negative at this location, if you complain to the store manager he will apologize but the staff's behaviour continues to be despicable. The greeter/cashier at the front doors, girl with the glasses and long blond hair is always so sour and rude. The cashiers are somewhat pleasant to deal with, but at that point I just want to be out of the store. The store is really small and the employees are usually blocking the isles with boxes to load up the shelves, (fair enough) but that makes it hard for shoppers to to social distance? I am glad I have had a couple of bad incidents here because I don't need to shop here anymore. Whole foods is 100x better from their front door greeters, customer service to variety of various grocery items. I rather pay more $$ than to be treated like I am a burden as a shopper.

They also have a great selection of vitamins. The staff is friendly and helpful. An upside to the store is their buffet. It is quite large and has a great selection of delicious foods. I've eaten there a few times and have always been impressed. They also conveniently have an eating area in the back. It's a great store and a great place to shop at!
