Today was my worst experience with my grocery shopping in Canada from Longos. Their policy is now, if you want to buy their products in the store, you need to wear a mask.But if you don't have your own mask, they can sell a mask for $1, which goes as a donation to the Food Bank. It looks like I don't have a choice, because I need to buy some food. Smart move from Longos. Nonsense. From the beginning of Convid-19, you didn't need to wear the mask to go shopping there. Then they started to give you a free mask, in middle Covind-19. And now you need to buy the mask, when Covind-19 went down a bit. But Customer Service was awful. The cashier was so rude and said to me, it's my choice to come for grocery shopping to Longos or don't come, if I don't have my own mask or I don't want to buy their mask. Are you serious, guys? Yes, I have a choice. So many nice stores with good Customer Service, where I can do my grocery shopping. But Longos needs to think how to do better Customer Service, than about their policy of masks. Because Longos lost the most loyal customer today. I don't think I will come back to you , guys. Good luck to Longos!

Longo's is one of the better grocery chains. Their hot plate section is absolutely amazing! It is a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. They have self checkouts too. I couldn't find a beer or a wine section though..

The selection in the produce section is unmatchable. You can easily find more than 5 to 6 variations of each vegetable if you go there without a finalized menu in mind. The amazing selection is a feast to creativity. I usually visualize the dish coming out for dinner just by picking up the mushroom to be stuffed with the right kind of eggplant and flavoured by the herbs and specific onion. This experience is only limited to Longos although I patronice other grocery stores for various different reasons.

Went there with my 9 year old son b4 all the crazy hype with masks. We used to wear masks until our health started to be affected & are now medically exempt. Went to Longo's & asked by a young worker at the door to put on ????. I explained our situation & she said exemptions do not apply to their store. I asked to speak to the manager & the assistant manager Matt, Steve, Mark, I cannot recall his name but quite unfriendly. Gruffly said that the by-law exemption does not apply to their store. The young worker suggested wearing the shield & she gave us 2. We went in, got the few items we needed for my son's birthday & left. Never to return. Related my story to others & they had similar experience of being rudley dealt with. This whole Wuhan Flu debacle has revealed how inhumane people can be. Divide & conquer.

Such a gorgeous selection of baked goods. They're a work of art and feast for the eyes. Absolutely magnificent creations. Applause to the bakers. I didn't have any issues with staff. It's hit and miss. In fact, I had a lengthy, meaningful discussion with the sales person on balsamic vinegar while he stocked the shelves, i.e. organic vs non, Longos brand vs Italian imports. He was very helpful and became inquisitive about the different labels and qualities. We examined the shapes and sizes of bottles. In the end we decided one should choose within one's budget and trust that gut feeling. It was a great conversation. Thank you ???? ???? Feb. 28 - I am so happy to see that management is reading customers reviews on Google, and taking the time to acknowledge us. That's excellent customer service. Since i have your attention, what is the quality difference between the various organic balsamic vinegar products ?

I volunteer at Triple C Farm in Ancaster. It is a petting zoo that is also a rescue farm for many different kinds of animals. I went into Longo’s (Dundas & Walkers, Burlington) to ask for donations of wilted greens that get disposed of and they were more than happy to oblige. Cathy is the trimmer who works in the produce section. From the moment I met her, Cathy has shown so much kindness and genuine interest in the animals that we care for. She immediately gave me a direct way to contact her so that I could let her know when I was heading to the farm. Cathy sets aside boxes of trimmings that I can easily pick up and has even helped me take them to my car. She is always happy to see me and loves hearing stories about the appreciative goats/pigs/alpacas/cows/rabbits/chickens/etc. that have benefitted from her generosity. Cathy’s kindness has resulted in many excited animals with wagging tails. I’m so glad I went in to ask for these donations. Thank you, Cathy!

Berated by the sanitizing station officer this morning because I dared to step into the store before sanitizing. The bottle they have sitting out every day was not there. So I was looking around for it and started to ask where it went. The officer snapped at me and told me that I needed to sanitize before coming into the store. I walk up to Longos every single morning for my coffee. We also do 90% of our shopping at this store. Most of the staff know us by name or at least face, since we have been shopping here for more than 7 years. We have been extremely grateful to the store and its employees during this crazy pandemic. This is not the first time I have been berated by one of their front door officers. The last one chewed me out because I couldn't get my winter gloves off fast enough for her liking. I am fully supportive of following the rules and sanitizing. I am not supportive of the employees acting this way toward customers. I have seen several other issues with the way they treat other customers that felt just like me this morning. Complete contrast to the greeters at Fortinos and the other great stores in the area. It's not that difficult to say hi, good morning, please don't forget to sanitize. Oh we moved the bottle, sorry about that! There's actually a new dispenser here, don't worry a bunch of other customers missed seeing it too! I'll track down the normal bottle. Have a great morning!! We are all trying to do our part. Stop acting like officers and treat your customers with respect.

Clean. Organized. Never had an issue with quality over here. The woman at the door is a bit rude... But the staff inside make up for it. I'd be kinda in a bad mood too if I had to sit at the front with the door opening and closing every 5 seconds too...but sometimes those people make first impressions, and I've been known to walk away never to return in most cases....but I gotta go to longos. Best meat and veggies out of all the chains.

The store is good but one of the associate made me give 1 star, rude and asked me in a very rude way to leave the store because I have my mini dog ,, there is a polite way to talk to customers but pointing to the door and shouting to leave while all the public watching was very unprofessional and rude attitude from associate working in such a big establishment

Nothing is more disappointing than heading out of your way to a store because they have a few items on sale in the flyer that are in your shopping list, only to arrive and the shelves are empty for those sale items. These were not indemand pandemic items, just regular grocery store items. Disappointing will continue to go to my regular grocery store moving forward.

Longos used to be my main go to store but since Covid haven’t been once. They have ignored every single exemption to local bylaws. Never again! I have been able to convince many others to abandon these tyrants. The owners can tell you what they want but they are actually the ones breaking the law, not those with exemptions! Criminals. I hope they are taken to court because they are at fault and it has been proven over and over again since the beginning of Covid

2nd worst grocery store in Burlington (next to Metro). Produce is very mediocre and incredibly overpriced for the quality. Always seem to be out of stock of sale items (they always say call in first to see if a product is available but my understanding of a grocery store is to have products to sell especially ones in the flyers) but the biggest factor is the staff are not helpful at all, anytime you ask staff a question they say it isn't "their department" and make no effort at all to find someone that can help or get an answer. Organic section is pretty sad too. Nature Emp and Fortinos on Appleby is light years ahead. Longos has now lost my business.

They have great produce and almost everything in the store is top notch. I am giving this store a 1 star because of their meat section; that corner sometimes smells of rotten meat, another thing, they advertise AAA Certified Angus beef, aged for 21 days blah, blah but their steaks are NOT AAA! They’re A grade at best. Last week (and for the last time as I’ve been disappointed before but never learned my lesson) I bought their striploin grilling steaks and they were tough, I was disappointed but not surprised given my previous experience with their steaks and I cook mine rare! Go to Metro or Fortinos for true AAA grade beef and steaks. I am making this review so that the store can make a change since everting else but the meat corner is good.

Deli department is lacking. One of the many examples. Dealt with an employee today, young guy with glasses, clearly new, asked for certain type of salami and received the opposite didn't realize untill I got home. Asked for buffalo chicken which he didn't know existed and i had to point out to him in which he then explained to me they didn't have any and there wasn't any in the back (he did not even go in the back to check there was one on display). I used to work in the deli at longos in Mississauga and I can feel for the guy which is why I let it go but couldn't shake the bitter taste in my mouth when I spend so much money and do not .receive my desired products. I'll be going to fortinos for my deli and grocery needs from now on.

The staff at this store go above and beyond to help. I went there the other day looking for fresh pizza dough. After only locating the frozen dough I asked a young lady stocking shelves. As always I really like Longo's approach to grocery store philosophy. As much as I appreciate the way busy times are handled by staff (The fewest checkout booths but shortest wait time as well). Everyone hates, I mean really hates when you are waiting in line for a check out and you are in the slowest lane EVER. Longo generally has bypassed this with a single line approach when busy. Now due to covid, all grocery stores are doing this, ironically.

Ordered the Thanksgiving Turkey kit, and was totally blown away with how well it was presented. The turkey was cooked to perfection, and could feed 8 adults no problem. A wonderful somewhat BBQ flavoring. The side dishes (5) were excellent and could feed 6 adults. Don't forget to warm the turkey for 90 min. Money well spent. A nice surprise. Hopefully they do this for Christmas.

This place is great! You never wait in line, there are always plenty of cashiers, and if a line forms, another cashier pops up. Wonderful for busy people! Salad bar is wonderful, bakery is the best. Their strawberry shortcake with real cream is wonderful. Always deals on striploin steak. People who work there seem happy. Nice produce, and ready foods. Small-ish grocery store, which is quicker to navigate through, than some of the larger ones. Love this store!

The store closes at 10pm and I was there at least 15 minutes before. There were three other people in the store and one of the employees were yelling at us to go. They looked very impatient at us, especially the girl at the cashiere and it really made me angry. When it's 10pm exactly I will leave the store, I did not deserve such disrespectful attitudes from the employees. I will leave the store at the proper closing time but if I'm working late and willing to spend the extra money then let me buy what I need without making the employees angry about the time.

I really enjoy Longos. I find them the perfect middle ground for size and selection. I have always found them very service oriented. This store was just renovated and they have put in a large hot food station which I dont care for. Worse, they have installed self serve check out which I refuse to use. I have given it 3 stars as they still had enough cashiers but this may change. Very disappointed in the renovations.
