I'm not on my own when I say Brant Food Centre has been one of my favorite grocery and meat stores that i absolutely have never given up on. They always have a variety of meats at great prices and the bread and pizzas and made freash daily! There is a cold area with fresh salads and fruits setup. A hot station aswell for hot meals and such! I reccommend this location to all food lovers!

A great, good old fashion grocery store. I'm so happy to see this place is still thriving. They offer freshly baked breath daily. You can grab a but or two and take it to the back deli and the staff there will put a lovely, fresh sandwich together for your with all the fixings. You can also help yourself to their salad bar and some hot table items. Their pizza slices are worth the calories. Plus, they carry some of those European grocery items that you just can't find anywhere else. To top it off they have a some of the best meat selection in town at their butcher counter at the front on the store.

Love the salad bar. Good cuts of meat. Make your own sandwich at the deli counter (grab a fresh baked in store bun from the bakery section when you first walk in, then bring it to the deli counter, they will let you choose your meat, cheese and toppings and bag it up and price it for you, very reasonable prices for a fresh sandwich!). They also have a few hot items for lunch. Not my go to place for doing groceries though as it is quite small along with low selection. They do carry some different products that you can't find anywhere else though so it's worth a visit.

I previously rated this place 5 stars but lately it seems the meat quality isn't that great. Plus there are some employees that don't seem to know what they're doing, like if you ask for dozens of pounds of something there's this one guy who tries to wrap it all up in one piece of butcher paper?? Other than that, it's a great place. You can find all kinds of food here and we do love the sausage. They tend to have good deals on canned products like San Marzano tomatoes. Love the variety in the store, almost any recipe you have you can find the ingredients for here.

Not a bad place to grab a few things. Their storemade sausages are delicious. Great when they have stuff on sale because it is a bit pricy. Staff this day was very friendly and couteous. The young man behind the meat counter was exceptional. He will get far in life. As I am deathly allergic to certain things and Easter Lillies are among them, I asked if they were inside the store. I was told no by two staff members only to have to use my epipen because they were distributed throughout the store. When I mentioned this to the same staff member who have me the initial negative response, she just shrugged her shoulders, chuckled and said "What do you expect? It's Easter".

I love this place! The sandwiches at the deli are AMAZING!! You pick any type of bun you like from their bread section and bring it to the deli. They slice the meat and cheese fresh for each sandwich. Then top them with any topping you want. There is a heated unit by the deli that has fresh made pizza slices for a ridiculously cheap price that are also quite good. If you are looking for something a little healthier there is a salad bar with a ton of different options and you pay based on weight.The baked goods are delicious, the cannolis, mini cheesecakes, and Chelsea buns to name a few. The fresh meat section is definitely great as well and I highly recommend it. I would also like to note that all of the prices here are very reasonable.

The pre-made salads are very misleading. I thought, the price(amount) that was on the salad was what I was going to pay... but it's not!!! The cashier told me it's just an estimate amount and they still weigh it when you cash out. That is so wrong!!! They shouldn't be allowed to do that. Whatever the price says, should be what you pay. They also weigh the salad dressing.(it doesn't come with it) In my mind it is a total rip offff/money grab.. to purchase their pre-made salads.

First, the positives: the meat selection is great, and our family has loved all cuts we've bought so far. Great prices, especially when things are on sale. The bakery section is also amazing- everything is fresh, and there is a great selection of stuff. Only issue is, if you don't get there early, you'll miss out. Would be awesome if they continuously put stuff out all day, so those who work day shift have a chance to get some baked goods on the way home from their shift. The sandwich/deli options are fantastic as well- nothing beats a homemade salad and personalized sub! Negatives: The store always appears dirty. The mixed smells are forgivable (raw meat, fish, dough etc), but the floors and shelves are always cramped and look like they could use a good clean. My only other complaint is the produce- a lot of it is US.. Would be great to see more Canadian produce. Some of their produce seems to be on rough shape, and I find it so bizarre that the produce aisle is mixed in with all of the cleaning supplies. I love to support local, so this is a great neighbourhood store, but with a few minor changes it could be so much better. I can't wait to see what they have planned!

Cant get more ethnic.. specifically Italian and Mediterranean than this gem. SUPER CHEAP BAKERY.. cheap lunch.. pizza slice and 750ml chocolate milk only run ya about 3 bucks. Love this place. Not everything is cheaper than grocery chains but a fair amount is. Probably one of the best in store butchers I. brantFord. Quaint and usually a fun and not stressful place to shop.

One of my favourite grocery stores in Brantford. Staff is very friendly, and they always have what you need and the prices are pretty amazing for some items. 2 weeks ago I bought 4 normal sized packages of strawberries for $4.50. They were perfectly ripe, juicey, and fresh. When I went to FreshCo a few days later I saw that for the same package of strawberries they were around $4.00. Also, I just found out today that the store opens at 7:00am which is amazing. I love buying my groceries fresh for the day and I'm always in and out of the store with no crazy lineups that you would see at a FreshCo or NoFrills. Another thing I wanted to add is I haven't been able to find bread at many grocery stores due to the crisis that is occuring in the world right now, except for Brant Foods. Brant foods always has what I need. Shelf's aren't empty like the other stores. It's been busier than usual but still not compared to the craziness in other grocery stores. This is the perfect place for the elderly to go if they want to avoid crowds, and I'm sure during different times of the day there is left traffic in the store.

Yuh can't beat their meat(hahaha) but if you are new to this joint be prepared to have your nose hairs singed as you enter the front doors the smell of the different cheeses and the meats is like a kick to the smell glands but you will survive as you venture further into the store their meats are off the chain and service is great they have other products to but check them out and see for yourself.

First the negs.. the cashiers here really need to pay closer attention to when produce is reduced. I can't recall how many times I've walked back to get a refund due to their ringing discounted produce through at full price. Once I walked back in a snowstorm nearly from home as I was charged full price of $3.79 each for 4 cauliflower when they were supposed to be .99. For someone on a tight budget these mistakes add up. Once a cashier who was refunding me said 'face the reduced sticker towards me'.... um it *was*, but didn't make a difference! I've gotten in the habit of checking my receipt before I even leave, now. Another time I was switching a chocolate bar, I found the type I wanted & needed to swap but hadn't paid yet, well she didn't take off the first bar she rang through, and tried to charge me for two. I had to repeat about 5 or 6 times that I was not purchasing two but *swapping* bars... therefore she should only be charging me for one!! I had to repeat myself so many times before she understood to delete one??!! Even other people next line over were wondering why I kept repeating myself?! Also the cashiers need to automatically put the receipt in the bag, not handing them out to me while I'm: putting my bank card in the wallet, putting the wallet in the purse, zipping up the purse, putting backpack-style purse on my back, etc. meanwhile the receipt is still being held out towards me? Put it in the bag! Do my hands *not* look busy doing all that? For the positives.. I have always liked this store due to it's being smaller, not a big conglomerate type, a more neighbourhood type feeling there, etc. And the meat counter is the best in the city I've found, for selection, prices when there's a sale, etc. Recently I've noticed the sausages are not as cheap as they used to be, from $2.99/lb to $3.99/lb and I never seem to catch them when on sale anymore... as well as the salad bar used to be $3.99 now it's $4.99 but at least minimum wage should be going up soon to compensate for this! I like the selection of plants in spring & summer as well. I really like those $1.29 chocolate bars from Poland.

Great place! they put out new sales every Thursday, you can download it off the website. Always well staffed, even early in the morning. The other day I went to pay for my groceries here and realized my bank card was expired. I didn't have anything else on me so I had to leave the store and everything I wanted to purchase to go home and get a different card. It was very embarrassing, but the staff where extremely understanding and kind to me. They even put my groceries in the cooler until I came back! I would highly recommend shopping here.

Best place to shop for fresh meat. Beautifully presented, food comes right from the farm to the store. Experienced butchers process this farm fresh meat and bring it out to the deli where you can pick which piece best suits your palette. You can also be particular when you choose your fresh salad, veggies and fruit from their a la carte section and even have a manwich prepared rigjt at the deli for less than it costs to go to McDonalds. Once you come here you will never buy your meat anywhere else.
