This place is filled with enormous bees that don't sting you, but will give you free cheese samples when provoked. The bread tastes like bread here. Their romaine lettuce won't kill you. They have at least 5 grocery carts you can fit husky sized babies in. All the staff speak in fluent pig latin. Their store brand vinegar can't be beat! 16 out of 11 stars!

Shopping at Longos is always a great experience. They have the best selection for everything. Especially fruits and vegetables. I went in today to get some veggies for my 7month old. The cashier at the checkout was super helpful as I wasnt sure if I got the right kind of butter but squash (my baby is a picky eater, arent they all?). She shared her personal experiences and helped me come to the right decision. Thank you! My baby was happy with his organic butter not squash puree.

Yesterday Oct 07 I went Longo’s to get a Deboned Turkey for Thanksgiving this is after going to Fortinos Brisdale which is where I usually get every Christmas and Thanksgiving and was bluntly refused after pleading from one person to another . Anyway this amazing young man his name is Curcio Giovanni Stefano who never did a deboned Turkey before actually went out of his way to do it for me . He realized I was so saddened at not being able to get it for my family and quickly said he will do it and was so apologetic that he may not do it correctly . I am so grateful and happy I met him . He simply made my day better to know they are such helpful people put there . He is in my opinion a great asset to your company because of him we will have a great Thanksgiving. Thanks again Curcio Bless you .

Extremely clean and produce is very fresh. The prices are higher but you get what you pay for. Loblaws/real Canadian/Fortinos superstore will charge $1.00-$2.00 less but their produce expires in 3 days what's the point if I'm trying to buy a week's worth of groceries. So Longos is worth their prices. Longos' has quality produce and meats. Their lean angus ground beef is amazing ????. You can really tell the difference. They have higher standards in what they sell. I've never seen bruises or overly ripe produce.

I love shopping at Longo's. There fruit and veggies selection is amazing and so very fresh. The prices can be a bit expensive compared to other grocery stores but it's worth every penny. I also love to buy sushi and the stone oven pizza.

Let me start by saying I'm glad I own a pizza cutter. We ordered pizza and cookies online from Longo's the other night. We've only ordered through online once before and it was a disaster. We ordered pizza with a salad. When we got there they only handed us a pizza, when we asked about our salad we were told "they don't have any so go and just grab one off the shelf". So we ended up with a store salad instead of the one we ordered. Okay, annoying but not so bad. Then we order through their online again the other night. 2 pizzas and 3 cookies. Don't you know they don't have enough cookies so even though you prepay online, they only gave us 2 cookies. We're off to a great start... Then we get home and open the pizzas. The cheese is cut, the pepperoni was NOT CUT AT ALL. Just a full pizza. So now we have an uncut pizza and are missing a cookie that we were refused a refund for and were told we had to go through their third party who deals with the online payments. Nobody would answer the phones during the 2 straight days we called, waiting for 30 minutes each time. No answer. At the end of it we had to once again talk to the manager of this location and get the okay to go back for a cookie and ended up having to let the girl at the counter listen to the voice mail the manager left us giving the okay for the cookie. Though the pizza is good, the lack of customer service and coordination between the online order system and in-store availability with no way to refund a customer is a complete joke. Giving 2 stars as the food is actually good. Otherwise it would be a 1 star review.

I live near this location, at first I was afraid that the prices would be high as it is a higher end store, but it has quickly become my favourite place to shop for groceries. Always have great fruits and veggies and some nice store brand items including their pasta. On top of that they also have a vast variety of organic and fair trade items, although they could improve on their vegan selection. One thing I would suggest is keeping a slightly higher stock in some bakery items that often seem to be empty. For example I love the store’s cinnamon buns, but they seem to be out of stock pretty often. Other than that, very friendly staff, and in general a nice atmosphere.

I pre-ordered a strawberry shortcake at the bakery for an event at 10:30am. 1 hour before the pick-up, they called me and told me they did not have strawberries and asked me if I wanted another cake. I told them I would call back, called back 3 times and no one answered. Finally got a hold of manager and told me that they dont get shipment of strawberries until later in the afternoon. I asked them why the bakery associate did not let me know, and he said he did not know. I had to settle for another cake and paid full price This was totally unprofessional and stressful especially because the cake was for a special event. This was really disappointing. I dont think I will ever buy a cake here again.

Not specifically related to a Longos experience but I was at the nail salon and recognized your cashier with the bright red hair. She was verbally assaulting the ladies working at the salon because she was dissatisfied with her nails. For someone who works with the public she sure doesn't know how to speak to other humans. Word of advice, if you are going to be an absolute rude nightmare in public, don't do it while wearing the face mask of the place where you're employed. Not a good look.

I shop here frequently due to proximity, the store is well presented etc. however the produce is terrible. I'm not sure why, maybe lack of turnover but I struggle to get fresh fruit and vegetables that are in decent condition. Its a shame considering the pricing is on the high side.

I love this place! They have a variety of items that are for low carb, keto and paleo diets. Just be mindful of your personal macros when shopping...some things are more low carb then others. For example the cheesecake is something my SO got for our anniversary. It's a bit higher than a protein bar but a serving is just perfect for a special day. The staff make great recommendations as well!

I am a regular customer of Longos for the last 6 years and my experience has never ever been so bad the way i experienced it today because of this cashier at the counter Kuljinder who misbehaved with me talking in a rude manner . My request to the store manager Henry S is kindly pls hire people who are competent and have good customer service skills . Kuljinder is not a good fit for this position at all.

I was so disappointed and so was my husband. I had always said good things about this store. However, the quality has gone down significantly. Too bad. Won't be back.

Very poor customer service @65 Dufay Road, Brampton store. I am very upset with the service I experienced today at this store by the customer service/ return counter. This morning I went to this store and bought some groceries. I also bought some potato salads by Longo's "The Kitchen" brand. One of the salads was "Red potato salad" which was best before date of March 30th. Upon opening it it smelled off . My daughter had a spoon full of it and had started feeling sick within 5 - 10 minutes and started throwing up. When I took it back to Longo's they refused to accept anything was wrong with the salad, without even checking it. They started arguing with my wife that it must be an issue with my daughter and not with the product. According to your customer service policy, you will refund in full if the customer is not satisfied and if he provides the receipt in original, as proof. I understand that these are tough times, but that lady was very arrogant and rude and told me to "get that product out of the store"???? Not sure but is this the way Longo's have started treating their customers?? I told them that they should check other products what if those are bad too and other customer can get sick, but the lady told me not to worry and asked me to leave with the spoiled salad, out of the store. I did not want to create a scene since this lady was very rude and treated me disgracefully. But with this note, I want to emphasize that Longo's should also work on their employees’ behavior towards store customers. Not sure if something will be done after this note, but for sure I am not going to go to that store again, nor will I ever be recommending anyone to go to that store!

Quite corner plaza plenty parking. No line up to go in. Employee at entrance very funny and friendly, reminding everyone to sanitize and wear mask. It's a policy at longo's. Fresh grocery little pricy but all worth your time. Also an employee inside directing customers to available cash counters. Very organized compared to many other chaotic grocery stores in Brampton.

One of the finest Longos They have great quality groceries from fresh veggies, fruit to cooked food The Kitchen here sells some great cooked food like pizzas and some other interesting items Love their salads and sushi sections some awesome sushi and great varieties of salad The best being the fresh veggies and fruit with an awesome variety Can pick some super and rare groceries from here Not to miss the pet food and litter section here has a huge variety with some great deals for pet food Almost all varieties and makes of pet food are available here and that's one of the things I picked up from here On the flip side this store is kinda steep with prices on the higher side however they do have some really awesome deals each week !! Very convenient as close to my home and mount pleasant and has some unusual great stuff absolutely love shopping here!!

Came to this longo’s today. Walked in and was told I needed a mask which is fine, that’s understandable. What I didn’t understand was that the crew in the garden centre had no mask on and was helping customers outside. I did call just to ask why, and the manager said they were unaware that the employee was outside without a mask and would fix the problem. I continued doing my shopping and when i came out about twenty minutes later, the garden centre representative still had no mask on. So not only did she not have a mask on AGAIN, but the manager of the store lied, said he would handle it and did absolutely nothing. A bit annoying that your own employees are not following your store policies or regulations and not only that but that same garden representative watched me walk past the garden area just to be told to turn back and get my mask when she could have given me fore warning. Just the whole situation was annoying.

The rating is not in reflection to the store. It more so toward the Longo’s Corporation and the plastic bag policy. Why are you still charging for bags?? All other grocery stores, Metro, Loblaw’s , Sobey’s including the ma and pa places are not. What is upsetting isn’t the 5 cents or in my case .15, it’s the fact you don’t see the issue! Maybe just an oversight...If you feel the need to continue to charge for bags, why not covert the proceed value to groceries and donate it to food banks. Do this and I be more that happy to change my rating.

When I first started shopping at Longos, Duffy Rd, in March of this year, I was highly impressed by the freshness of fruits and vegetables and of course by the cleanliness, the display and the social distancing norms. Everything felt great. But , as of date I am really disappointed by the quality/freshness of vegetables and fruits that it’s known for. The prices are still high but not the quality or the freshness. The quality, I feel has been compromised. It’s almost like any other grocery store. To attract South Asian customers, they have started covering their needs for certain types of food but the freshness of food in general is missing. For instance, I bought a pack of chopped kale in plastic container for high price and to my dismay, it was wilted and soggy. A couple of times, I bought cherry tomatoes that were not crisp at all and wilted way too soon. I was not happy.

This grocery store has literally the best customer service I have ever had in any shopping experience. Longo's, what a disappointment! Pre-ordered lobster. Thought would get the best selection of size and quality but turned out 'market size' and 'select size' were almost the 'same size' in the bag they had 'pre-packed' for me. However in the store the lobster that was on display had a marked difference in the sizes. Never pre-order !!! You will not get your moneys worth! Feel cheated!

I buy my lunch all the time at their hot food bar... the one thing they can improve on is how food is handled. I don't eat meat and several times I have watched the people who work around the counter use the same utensils for meat on everything else..... This is not a negative review but something to improve on.

I was very pleased they have a riding cart as I'm unable to walk too well. On my first visit the young lady at the checkout was extremely helpful! I've been waiting years for Longo's to open a store on the west side of Brampton. I used to go to one in Malton, then used the one in Brampton - now I only have to drive a few miles to the Dufay store. Great fresh foods, good layout, bright and clean as all Longo's are.

I usually come here for my grocery shopping. Had bad experience 2 times, 1 particular staff member behaved very rudely with me at the lottery counter. She is not at all welcoming and I never saw her smile and greet anyone. My first experience I was standing the que waiting she was on that counter billing other customer. The movement i stepped in front of her she rudely said this counter is only for lottery you can't check out other items. I told her you just cashed a person without lottery . Very misbehaved lady. 2nd time I was again standing at the lottery counter, she specifically comes to me and said very rudely " you can't check out stuff her, I told her I am just buying the lottery. I think i a. Going to stop going to this particular Longo's.

Today was my first grocery trip alone with my newborn. Her car seat practically took up the entire shopping cart so I could only buy limited groceries and wedge them where I could find space. Thank you to Rohan who walked me to my car to put all my groceries in the trunk and return the cart so I didn't have to. You truly helped a mama out!

Went to the store, from Longos Brampton, to pickup gingerbread air fresheners that was set aside for us but the person in customer service couldn’t find them. We started to look around the store for a display, hoping to find them when Ruth saw us craning our necks and offered to help. She led us back to customer service and asked the person there to call back Longos Brampton, to ask who they spoke to regarding the air fresheners, after which, someone dropped off the items at customer service. Thanks again Ruth for helping us.

(Translated) The bakery heats the bread in the morning to then sell them like fresh bread. Amazed at this observation, my son and I asked ourselves the following question. If these breads were not kept overnight in their respective packaging containing the baking date and the expiration date ... it is quite possible that we are consuming expired breads. (Original) La boulangerie réchauffe les pain les matin pour les vendre ensuite comme du pain frais. Stupéfaite de cette observation , mon fils et moi nous nous sommes posé la question suivante. Si ces pains n'ont pas n'étaient pas conservés la nuit dans leurs emballages respective contenant la date de cuisson et la date expiration...il est fort possible que nous consommions des pains périmés.

This is a great place to shop a bit pricey but worth it and the pizza is amazing the Indian lady at the deli in the morning is such a pleasure to talk to I see her almost every other day for my chicken cold cuts the only issue I have is the manager Nicole she is a very rude and ignorant employee I try to avoid her anytime I’m there I suggest you all do the same.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Seems like they are very proud of their store and it is indeed quite the supermarket. Fresh bread, artisan pizza, salads, lunches, veggies and fruit just to name a few things. I don't think there is anything this store doesn't have and they do have a lot of variety. Give it a try. I'm sure you will be impressed and happy you did!

Prices were overly high but I could not find any reason as to why. If you are spending $12 -$17 on roast chicken might as well pick it up from Whole Foods. Herbs, carrots and celery in the produce section were mostly spoiled and should have been thrown out. Couldn't find one bunch of fresh parsley in the multi thousand SQ FT grocery store!

my first time at this longos location an hour ago and also will be my last time. avoid the bakery section at all cost, customer service was horrific, however the older lady at the bakery was super friendly, i cant say the same about the younger and heavier attendant, she was obnoxious and extremely rude.

The make your own hot dinner was less than appealing. They pre-pacakged salads and vegetables they too showed signs of be dried out or wilted. I walked out. Other Longos I have been have been great and have enjoyed their hot meals.

After seeing the announcement that Longo’s will be implementing wellbeing hour from 8-9AM for elderly and at-risk members of the community I felt compelled to thank this company and specifically this branch. Thank you for continuing to provide exemplary service through this difficult time. We’ve been shopping at Dufay for almost as long as it’s been open. And although the selection isn’t as wide as some other stores, the shopping experience more than makes up for it. Shelves are always stocked and the produce selection is fantastic. Meats are high quality. Staff in general are courteous and helpful, but we have soft spots for the polite, young gentlemen in the meat/butcher section who’ve always shown outstanding customer service. And our visits are incomplete without chatting with Ruth. She is an exceptional worker who is always friendly and helpful. I always want to buy what she samples! Thank you Longo’s Dufay team!
