Good Value and Friendly Staff. We moved to Belleville from Ottawa over four years ago and it wasn't long before the "locals" told us about Taste of Country. It specializes in fresh baked goods and frozen food. Both are excellent value and great quality. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The fresh baked pies, cookies, and desserts are designed to get you off your diet. The frozen food help us to eat well on a budget.

Excellent variety of food products and gifts for the hard to buy recipient....everything from wedding gifts, birthday gifts to Canada day swag! Only complaint is the nutritional value labels on the frozen custom packaged foods are impossible to read and being on a low sodium diet and not being able to read the labels makes it impossible to buy those foods. But still a 5 star local business!!

Love the old farm house. The variety of food you get there is amazing. It is a great place for food for entertaining . The cheese breads are delicious. There is also a cute coffee shop. This sweet store is always busy. You will not be disappointed.

LOVE the Pork Sausage Rounds, Pecan Pies , Some Select Breads , Frozen Veggies and Pre Made Tarts. Not a huge fan of the pre made lunch/dinners. I'm a texture queen with my food - so the dog/cat enjoyed the Creamy Rigatoni, and Peanut Curry Chicken. ???? So turned off by them. And they took 25 minutes longer to cook then specified.

Great place to grab some good frozen or fresh foods! Ths have So Many fricking sauces and things like it! There's tons of baked goods throughout the store and also tons of locally made things too. Like cheeses, jams +jelly, pop, maple syrup and seasoning. Just tons of different random stuf scattered from floor to ceiling everywhere. I noticed they have gluten-free options for things and all kinds of specialty types foods. So if you're a foodie like I am and have a bit of extra coin (unlike me at the moment lol) then I suggest taking a wander out to this gem sometime!

Besides grocery items and bakery goods they have a unique and wide variety of items for decorating a home or cottage. If you're in the area stop by and you will see what I mean.

I'm originally from the Belleville area so I have a soft spot for Taste of Country. I love this store. With a wide selection of food foods bake goods and crafts this store for me always offers something I'm looking for when I go there. Bake goods are always awesome. I specifically go here to buy frozen foods. The layout of the store flows good can be a little cramped sometimes and the parking lot can get busy. Service is great.

Great place to pick up a cool, one of a kind gift. Multiple frozen food items from vegetables, fruits, meats, sauces, ready made casseroles, etc to choose from. Bakery on site with wonderful freshly baked goods available. An all around wonderful shopping experience.

I have to say that overall I was disappointed. There were plusses- the variety of items, clear signage and cleanliness. I enjoyed seeing the holiday candies from my childhood. However, the sale items were stale dated (expired)- should NOT be sold. Too many items from China. Too many unhealthy foods. Many of the items could be purchased from grocery stores, in different packaging and less expensive. I have to admit, it was not what I expected..i expected a taste of country, rural, home, not a store importing everyday foods from A country.

Was quite disappointed with the store. Seems to be set up more like a grocery store. I asked the staff about not seeing any candles and she said that usually people don't buy candles in the summer that's why I wasn't able to see any?? The store always had a great selection of candles but I couldn't find any. I did buy a bag of dinner rolls that had an expiry date of Aug 8th but had to throw them all out today because of the mold. Don't think I will be back. Sad, because I always looked forward to going.

Seems like a frozen food outlet with an attached craft store. Puzzled by some of the items, trying to mix country with modern. We checked out most prices, a bit inflated but ok. The BB dates were disturbing within a week on most. We made a few simple purchases and were pleased. Store is clean and staff are friendly

I love the taste of country. They have such a selection of evgetables that you slways come home with a unique mixture. And as for there carmel apples pies they far out rank the big apples and there staff are helpful snd friendly. And prices are great.
