Smeh. It's Zerhs. Produce is good quality but a bit pricey. Food is a bit more expensive but the isles are a little larger. They have been better recently with cashier's though which is a welcomed bonus.

Neatly organized, huge variety, reasonably priced. They also have a community area that offers classes, a new Tim Hortons shop, a wine shop, a flower shop, a deli/café/quick bites section and of course a Joe fresh clothing area. For a grocery store they've thought about everything else y you might need and have included it. I'm sure there's more I'm missing, I'll be sure to edit this when I go back

I purchased two cases of peppers on Sunday for 6.88 and I was told that they would be getting more on Tuesday because Monday was Labour Day. I went in on Tuesday and now they were $9.99 a case. I asked for the manager and showed him my receipt proving the $6.88 price but he said that he couldn't honour it for me. This is still the same shopping week. He said that their prices change from one day to the next. I used some of my points to pay for them and was told that I would have to get a gift card for that as they couldn't credit the points back. Once I lodged a complaint with head office, I was offered the return of my points! Poor customer service and inconsistent pricing. I don't think they deserve a single star. Why not honour the price or give me the points back? Why have it escalate. Larry Antonio is a poor manager!

I had the woman at customer service today refuse to take my passport photo today because she was "too busy", but I was the only person in line and all she was doing was restocking the scratch tickets. It feels very small and seems sparsely stocked, especially the Joe Fresh section. There's also rarely enough cashier's on duty, and the cashier area isn't built to handle lines more than one or two carts long.

Very dirty, sticky disgusting self serve checkouts. I wonder how much E coli, bacteria and covid19 viruses. I saw the regular checkouts being cleaned after each customer but these looked like they had not been cleaned all day. I told someone but they didn't do anything.

We went there and it was extremely crowded and there were two checkouts open. We stood in line for about half an hour until we just went to customer service and gave them our basket. We told them we were going to go to Sobeys instead and the person who worked there said “You do that.” We asked to see the manager, but it turns out that WAS the manager. The manager doesn’t care about his business. I hope Zehrs goes out of business if they do that. Also, they NEVER have unsliced bread, only sliced bread. We need unsliced bread for a lot of the things we make and I’m sure a lot of others do too. They have shelves full of sliced bread, yet, there’s a bread slicer in-store for customers to use.

Terrible service at the self serve. My chair didn't have a tag to be scanned and the lady at the self desk said she's not a manager and couldn't help. So, I left the folding chair at check out. Afterwards, she asked if I was taking the chair but I definitely found it point less to take a chair I haven't paid for. The time I visited the store was 12:18 pm Tuesday, August 25th, 2020.

My Family and I enjoy the variety of fresh products; fruits, vegetables and baked goods. Even already made dinners that are quite healthful. For the most part pricing is decent for the good quality you get. Staff are helpful and do a wonderful job in maintaining cleanliness and keeping items filled for their guests. The front entrance can be a little congested with the foot traffic in and out, the cart coral and the section where they do the online shopping for people who ordered online. Great place overall.

Product restocking is terrible. With the Click n collect service, shelves get cleaned out fast than they get restocked leaving walk ins to constantly requesting items that are not on shelves. One would think going shopping on a Saturday, no matter what time in the morning or afternoon, shelves would be stock for the weekend rush! thats usually when most people do their groceries. Ive been to the Hiway location and even Cambridge centre location and never seen shelves bare. But, I continue to shop at this location because it is is a better location then the Pioneer location for selection options.

Click and collect is a joke at this location, they are under staffed and two experiences in a row I have waited 1.5 hours past my time slot to receive the groceries. Also received a call on our most recent click and collect order saying they are an hour behind. How is the store an hour behind after an hour of being open?? The employees are even saying they are under staffed when they hand off the groceries- Hint to management. Staff up or don’t offer the service.

Everything you need, at a fair price. This store is the place you want to go when you don't want to stop twice. Their variety ensures you have options and their stock levels almost guarantee you'll find what you want, and more. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the self-checkouts require a special level of patience. Unless you're part android and can communicate with them, use the line-ups, which are not particularly long generally.

This is amazing shop! You can get so many organic food! I found there fresh (not frozen) rabbit! Antibiotics free and hormone free meat! Lactose free milk and cream. Gluten free bread! There is also a good kitchen stuff, etc, etc. For me it's a shop #1. I can get there all I need.

I shop on and off again at this zehrs. It's a great store. But something always seems to happen when. I'm there. Either no ones in the bakery for my son to get his cookie, or there's not enough of something in stock. But it always always seems like the girls that are at the self serve, never know what they're doing, or are too busy to get everyone in a timely manner. There's just one lady that always works there that seems spot on. Everyone else, seems sloppy. I'll continue to shop here regardless. It is an amazing store. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that I get that one nice lady.

I think that the management here probably use a "facelift," in terms of their customer service skills, especially the manager who is waiting at the front door, very rude and pushy. The pharmacy is the worst though, due to the pharmacists assistants never writing down what medication you require for drop off, or hanging up on you abruptly as you are giving them address details. It seems like the older women working at the pharmacy really don't know how to do their jobs in an organized or professionally manner, not the rude or distasteful way you treat your patrons.

Could Zehrs Stratford be any more dozy? To put a Starbucks inside with no separate entry in this time of Covid, forcing grocery shoppers to line up outside for coffee drinkers in winter during limited access times, now particularly severe going into lock down. Needs new and better management at this store and at corporate head office. Won't be shopping at Zehrs at all until they fix this or get rid of Starbucks and grocery shoppers in general should avoid this store.

Pat the cashier needs to find another job. She is rude and uniterested at being there. She snapped at me when i was using my PC Mastercard. And those were the only words she said. When i went to the customer service area to check my lotto tickets i mentioned to the clerk about pat's attitude. She says they know and ahe has had lots of complaints registered against her. So needless to say when i shop there from now on i will be avoiding Pat's line. And that is sad.

This store I see as a local economy drain. They attempt to sell as much as possible and have so many different shopping categories jammed into one store that they seem to be inexplicably trying to take as many of the consumer in this area that they can which thus causes a lack of economic growth for others stores owned by local residents. I do not think this business honestly cares about the local city and are just another chain superstore looking to take the market. With a superstore going out of its way to accomplish this they amoung others like Walmart make it next near impossible for local residents to start up a family business and actually go somewhere. Most residents are stuck working for these places. These places also sell more foreign products then local products so even furth damage the economy selling goods to us for other countries economies. The owner of this location is also a sexist bigot who has not given any of his supervising or managing staff a pay raise above minimum wage. Also. When I first came to this town amd was homeless the owner of this location called the cops on me for asking for charity or food amd got me a 150 fine for illegal panhandeling. But. A week later I saw the same man give a girl who was doing the same as me a 50 dollar bill and a couppe bags of food. This store does not support the interested on St.Cstharines. It only interested in its own expansion amd market shares. Also. Their International isle is a joke compaired to Food Basics. They dont even have the simple things like real jamaican water crackers. Food Basics has the Excelcior brand straight from the island as well as all the beloved coolrunnings spices.

Typical Zehr's with a few extras. Staff is great, store is always clean, but it does try to do a lot for a grocery store, include selling clothing, seasonal plants, indoor plants, landscaping items, pharmacy ... etc. An almost Myer's without the size and variety to make it work. Still, their produce is fresh, the bakery is very accommodating, so if you prefer to shop the "outside lanes" then it has a lot of selection.

I'm writing this review based on the hot counter. I was there last Tuesday and they had a great selection of quick hot meals - chicken wings, southern chicken, chicken tenders, vegetables, wedges, and even jalapeno poppers!! I was so impressed (and the poppers were so good) that I went back the very next night. There was only one kind of chicken to pick from, wedges, a few sad-looking onion rings. No poppers. I asked the guy and he said "we don't carry those anymore.". But you did the night before?? I was very disappointed that one night there was a ton of selection and the next night there was almost nothing and it was the exact same time of day. A little consistency would be nice. I don't want to go out of my way to come here to pick up dinner only to be disappointed again.

Zehrs has a decent bakery but seems to be falling behind in providing the quality produce it use to be so well known for. The prices seem to go up but the quality is going down. Also there doesn't seem to be any fresh halal meat options in this location, only the off frozen bit. Let's branch out and be a bit more diverse Zehrs. We would love it if you did. It seems to be a common theme amongst the Zehrs stores.

I just went and did some shopping @ this location as I always do. I had my 2 daughters, and my father with me and my oldest was signing jingle bells @ the top of her lungs and everyone loved it and either said how lovely her signing was or joined in. Than another man the aisle next to us yelled “THATS ENOUGH, STOP!” Continuing to tell my daughter to stop signed, I approached him and told him to stop and others called him the grinch. The manager I’m prettt sure it was, he was a younger male I talked to and told him about the situation, he confronted the male who was being rude to my daughter than the manager came up to me and gave me everything in my cart for free. Amazing staff there and I couldn’t have left the story ANY happier! Thanks again! Merry Christmas :)

Zehrs is a well-known brand of the Loblaws chain of stores. One thing about being a large door, is that the selection is brod and with few exceptions the fresh meat and produce are a very good quality. Whenever I have needed help there always seems to be courteous staff to assist. The store is conveniently located and easily accessible.

Misleading labels on signs to make you think there's a sale when it's actually not on sale. Man I gotta say when I saw the sale on the yogurt I really enjoyed going to the store like before it was just a normal Zhers but when they brought that yogurt in it was a WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL I MEAN I GET MORE WITH THE SMALLER CUPS then I do with the BIG CONTAINER on top of it I have allergies and I can finally have flavored yogurt like banana strawberry and peach and ends up having actual peach chunks in it. So that's pretty cool. I sent like probably $30 on yogurt because of the sale. Like it happened twice so that's pretty cool. However the store is not perfect since they took away the presidents choice frozen dumplings so I can no longer have dumplings with my college experience. Yeah also there was this one guy I called "GateKeeper" probably the coolest staff member there I asked for his phone number when I was starting out in college and it's almost the end of the first year and I still haven't contacted him and I'm wondering if it's like to late to say hi or not. I feel kinda bad and I don't have yogurt to help my troubled nerves aaaaaaah sheeeeit I also don't have ice cream I goto to go get ice cream now...and it dark nice, nice

There is a clear sign on the plexiglass stating that if the cashier doesn't ask the customer if he/she would like to donate to the foodbank, the customer gets a free chocolate bar. Very simple and straight to the point. By the end of my exchange, the cashier had not asked me, so I said "Do I get a free chocolate bar?" She looks at me and snarled: "Take one if you want a chocolate bar so bad." When I pointed out: "That was rude," she just said that noone has asked her before. I pointed out the sign. "I didn't ask you." So Doreen on aisle 4 on Dec 23 at 8:54am, don't get defensive when someone points out something that you aren't doing that you should be.I didn't make up the chocolate bar rule.

High prices for product that is often 1/2 the price across the parking lots at Food Basics. Hit and miss on staff. Some are fantastic some are downright rude. On a more sour note; I was at the hot foods count and a gentleman in a wheelchair seat trying to get the staff member's attention as they proceeded to serve others who came up after him. I asked him if he needed a hand and helped him reach an item he couldn't quite reach. Then he took it to the crash at the end of the counter while they then help more people who came after him while he waits. It wasn't until I said something to the store manager who just happened to be standing nearby that they helped him. Never had an issue returning an item. The steaks are fantastic and there is a tonne of selection. They also have beer and wine which is good.

This place has finally decided to host it's multicultural surroundings. It's actually designed as a German eatery, but "enormous style". Don't depend on the deep meal cooking but make yourself a good sandwich, and don't forget the cheese aisle. When I shop at Zehrs it is normally because I need something that other grocery stores don't carry. They also have a excellent flower shop and fresh food grill and bbq. Anything that you think of food related they probably carry, awesome clothes area also. The only issue I have is the price of some of the food.

The new young girl has no idea what she is talking about and telling her customers in an extremely bad attitude the WRONG information, that is when she decides to serve her customers. Update: There are now dedicated parking spots for online shoppers to pick up their orders. Very clean store, help is easy to find, and you're avoiding the mass chaos of other big-box stores. PC Financial bank located inside, as well as Starbucks, and Lotto center. If there's one friendly suggestion I could make to management, it would be to put speed bumps (or something) in the parking lot. I've seen drivers doing 20km/hr and 30km/hr in their large parking lot. One driver almost hit a child at closing time.

So overpriced! We spent double the amount than at NoFrills, for less than we normally buy. Moreover, the cart locked up before we got to the car, and would not let us take it back to the store so I had to stand out in the middle of the parking lot with a baby and a cart of groceries while my partner came around with the car. In their Deli / Ready to go Meals they have Fried Chicken. I swear their chicken is heaps better than anywhere else in town. For $25 we purchased 2 Large sides of our choice ( This time we chose wedges and onion rings--- in the past we have had scalloped potatoes and macaroni w/cheese as well) I cannot honestly say I know the other options but the ones we have chosen have been a huge hit. With 2 adult men, one teenaged hockey player after a game when his hunger is at a peak and myself there were still leftovers for the evening munchies or lunch the next day. I am not a big fan of fried chicken but THIS is the juiciest full flavoured breast I have ever had the joy to pop in my mouth. BEST CHICKEN EVER!!

PC EXPress is Not Great though. “Heather” who I Believe to be the Manager of PC EXPRESS is not Kind. I Have been in the store a Couple times for Optical, to use the restroom, and to Purchase a couple things to hear someone yelling in the PC EXPRESS Area. I look Over and See “heather” yelling at what looks to be A Group of Teenagers. It Was Very troubling, and as an older Woman myself, being yelled at as a Teenager by my boss in such a Mean way, I Would feel Very Stressed all the time. THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR THE KIDS MENTAL HEALTH!!! Very Dissappointing and embarassing too see. Over All, PC EXPRESS was a Good Service a Few Months ago. my order Now is Never on time and i have heard that Some Kids are being Blamed for it. This is Not fair!!!!!

Bad experience once when this lady ask me to get something from a high shelf for her, she was a very short lady, and this guy who works there restocking jump me and ask the lady if everything was OK.., I guess I didn't fit the right apparel since I was all dirty in my working clothes. The last two times I was there they were no carts for costumers, I let one of the ladies that do the pickup service that.., and very, very rude she told someone might take care of it at some point as she was rolling her eyes at me like if I was doing something wrong... I don't really care normally but when I can't get down an isle because people are in a circle coughing and sneezing, this becomes a problem for me. This is the last super market I ever want to go to. The absolute last resort. The produce is usually terrible. The prices are excessive. You will find people shopping there without a mask and no employee enforces the mask policy. And the pharmacy is so dubious. The optical is probably the only thing worth it in there.

Very well kept and very bright and enticing. I find that they do have great deals some times but their used to get you into the store to buy items that are priced on the high side with the sales. Doing a grocery shop here compared to a basic grocery store for a family of 5 is about a 50 to 100 dollar difference. However they do seem to have higher grade veggies and fruit at times and their hot chickens and wings are awesome.
