My wife can't come to Banff without going here. Has many of the chocolates that you had as a kid. The set up if the store is wonderful with many candy decorations and a toy train running around the ceiling. A good place to visit.

Stay away from this place! Be aware... some of the staff at this location are participating with a debit (bank card) / credit card scam. Somethings to look out for, they will process your card and before they give you your card receipt they will tell you it has not gone through even if you see a "approved" message on the POS. Then they will tell you that the machine "froze" and you have to try again. They began to tell us that the payment was "pre authorized" and "not posted" they also said "you will see the payment go through but it will then get refunded a day later it happens all the time we're getting new machines next week" so I fell for it I paid cash again took my purchase and left. A few moments later I called my bank to see what happened, my bank said that payment did indeed go through and there's no such thing as pre authorized payments for debit cards, once the payment is made there is no way that the money can go back to the merchant. A few hours later we called the store back and Ashley told us to come back and we'll give you a refund. So we went back later that night, Ashley refused to give us a refund on our return she called the manager and he refused to give us a refund and he said that nothing was wrong. After arguing for close to 20 minutes Ashley finally gave back our money. Once again stay away from the store they are double charging customers and at the end of the night they are taking the over amount funds in cash from the till and making it look like there are no overcharges. The candy in this store is over priced, the customer service sucks and has poor selection. Go to Welchs' Chocolate Shop across the street. They have chocolates and candies from all over the world better prices you'll have a way better experience.

Nice shop with lots of options but not many vegan options. The staff was super nice and looked into the ingredient book to see which ones you could get from behind the glass. Lots of candy and fun to walk through. The Mambas are not vegan, as they are elsewhere.

Wow. Just wow. This candy store is on the Main Street in Banff an absolutely spectacular candy store for those of you with a sweet tooth or looking to buy a good gift or a Canadian gift they do have Canadian candied salmon in there. They also have an absolutely huge selection of every type of candy candy bar hard candy soft candy sour candy hot candy you name it they have it. I highly recommend that you go into the store take your nephew your niece take yourself treat yourself it's a wonderful experience.

Awesome selection and amazing homemade fudge. We tried to amaretto and praline samples and they were INCREDIBLE. The lady working in the store was very friendly as well. She wasn’t able to measure out 100g of fudge exactly but still charged us only for 100g which was a nice touch. Looking forward to my next visit!

Staff at the store are horriblely rude. My husband and I went in to get some chocolates, us being in the store seemed to annoy them. The way they spoke to us was just plain rude. If a store is going to sell gourmet chocolate, they should have some friendly staff there.

A staple of any visit to Banff, the Sweet Shoppe is a lovely little store with plenty of different chocolates and lollies to choose from. I picked up some beautiful chocolates from the handmade selection, definitely recommend the salted caramel square, Black Forest truffle and the Maple popcorn was delicious! I did expect to find more Australian chocolate and lolly brands considering the large population of Aussies in town but that’s ok, it was still fun to explore all the different options.

Absolutely love this store, pop in every time we visit town. They literally have everything that you could want and so many items that bring me back to childhood. Prices are def on the high side but to be expected with the selection and location. They obviously are doing something right this store has been here for as long as I can remember.

Fudge is $5.99 per 100mg while the fudge store across the street is $3.50 per 100 mg but when I had the sample from this store I had to get it - perfect texture (the other stores’ were too hard and dry) and the espresso fudge is so delicious!! Worth the splurge but just know the prices are high. The employees were also very friendly and helpful.

I was sorely disappointed in what we purchased. The birthday cake cookie bar tasted very waxy and the Rice Krispie treat with white chocolate was as hard a a rock. The selection in the store was great but the handmade treats were lacking.

This place has awful customer service. I asked if they had any dairy free fudge and they told me the dark chocolate was dairy free. Only to find out later it has butter in it. The staff were unapologetic and very rude. Owner said they are not accountable for what her staff say. You could kill someone with allergies. I would give 0 stars if I could.

While we were browsing the store an employee approached us out of the blue and accused my brothers of opening up some of the product on the shelves (however, I was with them and they did no such thing). She quite rudely and angrily informed us that the product could no longer be sold, pulled it from the shelves and stormed off to the front counter. Stunned and a little put off by her assumptions and rude attitude, I approached the counter and calmly explained to her that we had no part in opening the product. She continued to argue back that we were responsible and tried to continually dismiss us. Until finally she delivered to us and very sarcastic apology and knowing that she would never give us a sincere apology, we left the store. I have never experienced customer service that bad before and I would never consider returning. Unbelievable.

Should seriously consider hiring staff who don't seem like they hate their job and customers. We were confronted by one of the ladies from the counter who accused us falsely of opening up little plastic parachute soldier toys. Not only did she accuse us for something that was already done before we got there, but she had done it in such a rude manner and wouldn't give a sincere apology. Instead, kept trying to just dismiss us. Would give zero stars if I could. Not the kind of service that will bring customers back. At least the employees should have some respect and show responsibility for their mistakes.
