Have ordered on two occasions from Tree Time (one order of ~200 trees, another smaller order of fruit trees); shipping was prompt and arrived as stated both times with no damage to the trees. Success rate of the trees are very good! 100% on the recent order (~90% on the first order - but, it did take much longer-than-advisable to plant the yearlings); they are putting on a lot of new growth and have no doubt they'll weather well through winter. If you follow the in-debth included instructions, you'll have great success! The trees are grown in a local zone which helps a lot with success. Have had a great experience with Customer Support and response times - they are there and willing to help! Photos are of a Canada Plum and Romeo Cherry tree - both planted ~4 weeks ago with only a bit of bone marrow to assist with root development.
Your Money is everything that they want.Their treatment is disgusting and if they were in Ontario I would sue them for cheating customers.
My partner and I moved to 5 acres of lawn in Manitoba back in 2020. We partnered with Treetime.ca to get hundreds of seedlings: aspens, red osier dogwoods, maple, variegated dogwoods, and alder last year and this year. Treetime staff (Particularly Drew) have been phenomenal to deal with! As can be expected sometimes seedlings don't take. Fewer than 5% of all the seedlings we planted didn't take. Treetime were so gracious! They credit our account for those lost trees. They checked in on us to see how things were going. And in every interaction they were exceptionally helpful! We so much more space that we want to plant in order to create a nice woodland. We will be going back to Treetime for years to come, I suspect. They have our HIGHEST recommendation!!!!
Since 2013 I have ordered thousands of trees from tree time. The advantages of their services is the multiple dates for shipping (free with min orders of over $100) , which includes Post Office box delivery in rural areas through Canada Post. I utilize this option by staggering my planting in a 4-6 week schedule, (you can only plant so many trees in a day/week per person). The diversity of species is immense for orchards, ornamental, shelter belts, and many more categories.... I have purchased fruit trees/bushes for my orchard (lots of Sea Buckthorn, Sour Cherries, Haskap berries), and lots of shelter belt species. If you have any questions be sure to ask, there are a lot of resourceful people who work at Tree Time.
I've ordered thousands of trees through Tree Time for the past 3 years now and have found their service to be excellent - their staff are knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall, I've been impressed with the high quality of their stock... their seedlings may seem small compared to the potted stock of landscape nurseries, but they are more adaptable to new sites and can grow extremely fast if planted and maintained well. The only time I wasn't completely satisfied with the growth put on by a small proportion of my order Tree Time went above and beyond in ensuring they were replaced.
Ordered 60 lilacs and they arrived well-packed and alive- small buds on all of them. 5 stars for that. 1 star for the "long term" quality of the plants we ordered. We planted the lilacs within 5 days and continued the recommended care. They quickly budded out, but we started see some with the leaves turning brown and then withering by the end of week 1, and by the end of the 2nd week about 1/2 had died with no 'green' showing with a scratch test. Getting refunds/credit has been challenging since customer service determined the shrubs had 'put on new growth' -(in other words the buds they came with leafed out and grew a few cm before turning brown and dying). Even my local nursery provides a one year warranty. After several emails back and forth (they are prompt in communicating) we have been 'met half-way' with our complaints and they are giving us 1/2 the value of what died in store credit. We already expected some die off over winter and had 'budgeted' for that in the numbers we purchased (bought 60 expecting a 30-40% die off due to winter conditions) so now that we are already down 50%- before winter our total cost per of a 2 year live bush will be that of a 3-4 year bush from a local nursery that comes with a one year warranty. Would not recommend. I will be going back to my friends and family that I had raved to about this company to and sharing THIS experience. Save your $, give it to a local nursery instead and get the warranty you deserve.
Ordered 12 trees this spring. Trees were shipped/arrived on time, and 12/12 survived! I ordered 5 saskatoons, 5 beaked hazelnut, and 2 cherry. The Saskatoons and a few of the hazelnuts are very vigorous, and many have tripled in growth/size over the past 2.5 months. Will definitely order from Tree Time again!
Everything what we ordered,growing 100%
I ordered 20 blue spruce they came in excellent shape and the instructions were very clear. I followed the planting instructions and my little trees did wonderful new growth came out within a week. Its been an extremely hot summer here in Ontario but the trees are doing well. Highly recommend ordering from this company.
I ordered 400 White Spruce trees last year. They arrived May 5th still frozen at the perfect time of year to plant. I planted 130 of them and the rest were given to my friend for his farm. Of all the trees I planted I got excellent growth and had ZERO mortality except for the one I accidentally hit with the lawnmower. I will be recommending this company to anyone I know looking for trees and I will ordering from them again this year and beyond.
I was happy with the shipping time of my order of Juliette cherries, but I'm not convinced I received the stated order. I really thought the bushes would be taller than a toothpick if they were one year old. I mean, they seemed like they had just sprouted. That said the bushes were well packaged and seem healthy. Just the exact height of a toothpick.
got five plum trees in June, all doing well so far!!
I was hesitant at first, but my 5 saplings arrived packaged well and still damp. I planted them and they all began adding new growth within' 30 days as advertised. I'll be ordering again next spring.
5 twigs called beaked hazlenuts for nearly $100 that only 2 flush out and all are dead sticks after 2 months of careful maintenance. As I have bought in the 10s of thousands in the past for restoration jobs I was going to let it go until a service employee emailed to ask how my order did. I told them everything else was fine but the hazlenuts seemed pretty poor from day 1 and how about a credit on account... That's when slight disappointment turned into I will source all my seedlings from somewhere else. Don't try to do customer service if you don't really want to ensure your customers are satisfied. To Nicole and dime over a 90 order that probably cost $20 wholesale when a client has spent over 30k woth your company is bad business. Sorry but stick to wholesale supply of reforestation companies who don't really care if your product has vigor.
I ordered eight shrubs. Two were dead - they never grew leaves when I planted and watered them. . When I contacted Tree Time the response was: "I have kids. One walked at 10 months, one at 16 months and one at 18 months. Are two of them defective? Hardly. All are track and field stars now. Plants are the same way. They develop in their own way and at their own time. Please follow our processes and care for them or you may not qualify for the 30 day new growth guarantee." I did not find this response helpful nor does it solve my problem. I don't want dead shrubs in front of my house for the entire summer. Tree Time only offers in-store credits after 30 days and only will ship new shrubs out for next season. I'm very disappointed and won't be shopping here again. *Update* Those two did manage to sprout a few leaves but were totally dead by the end of summer. Overall the bushes really failed to thrive. I'm going to buy everything local from now on.
Ordered for the first time from TreeTime and I'm very pleased. Plants were decently well packaged and shipment was relatively quick considering it traveled from AB to QC through Canada Post. Bare root plants were dormant but there are visible signs of life. I was also surprized by the size of them - considerably bigger than the same plants ordered from a different supplier. Yeah, I do recommend them highly.
So happy with my seedlings from TreeTime.ca. They all put on new growth in the first year, and are blooming and beautiful this year. The customer service team is super knowledgeable and helpful, and the seedlings are high quality. Would definitely recommend!
I have ordered from these guys three years in a row. 99 percent survival rate of the trees and excellent customer service that has always backed up the 1 percent that don’t make it. Very reputable. High quality trees.
We have ordered nearly 1000 common caragana from TreeTime. Trees put on new growth immediately and TreeTime have always addressed any concerns we had. We will buy from them again.
I ordered 5 nut trees. They were shipped to BC via Canada Post. The parcel was well packed and the trees arrived dormant and in good condition. I planted them all right away and in a couple of weeks all trees were showing signs of leaf buds emerging. Now it is two months later, and all 5 are vigorous and putting on new growth. I am very pleased with my baby trees, and Tree Time's excellent service. It is likely that I will order trees from them again. Cheers!
Second year ordering. Admit I thought it was odd to order live trees through the mail but they actually survive! Last year 4 of my trees didn't survive and the company was great to credit me new trees this year. All 22 of my trees are doing great. 12 of them surviving an Ontario winter. Price point for what you get is the best you'll find if you want quantity to plant.
2020 bought 30 Sundancer Poplars, trees arrived in good condition. Within a few days of planting most had new growth. 3 did not grow. I received a store credit. 2021 bought 30 more Sundancer Poplars. Within days all but 3 had new growth. A few of last years trees are already over 5 feet tall. I'am very pleased with their product and service. I highly recommend Tree Time.
Great COMPANY VERY HAPPY with their service and the number of items that are available.
The trees arrived on time as stated, although when first arrived the roots were moldy, spoke with customer service who assured they would come back.....they all did..all 20. Can't wait for my wall of cedars now
Quality products, Professional Services. Will definitely come back for more
I'm always impressed when a company deals with a problem well. These people satisfied me by giving me a credit for a damaged shrub (during shipping) with free shipping on the replacement. I could not ask for more!
I was able to arrive at a suitable resolution regarding their Seedling guarantee.
Tree time year after year of ordering is a awesome experience. The care and instructions is wonderful assistance.
Excellent service! Trees arrived safe and shipping was free. Trees look very healthy, I am very impressed. We will sure order again. When I called for some planting advice I received very good information. Larry was extremely helpful and kind.
Ordered 30 poplar seedlings, excellent packaging at shipping, 100% survival rate 2 months after seeding, ty
I have placed orders with Treetime for the past few years. Each year the order arrives on time and well packaged. Sometimes the products appear to be tiny but the plants always grow like weeds! I would highly recommend the haskaps - last season I ordered Blizzard and Beauty haskaps as 2 year old plants. They arrived with an amazing root system and grew quickly. This year the small plants are loaded with giant haskaps - the pictures are examples of the Blizzard variety!
Everything was correct in the order and shipped on time. The staff was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.
Amazingly healthy stock! Over 150 plants ordered not a single one that wasnt healthy and all had new growth within 7 days! Keep up the great work
terrible customer service, product was fragile and didn't survive. Would never
We have purchases many trees from Tree Time. Very professional, extremely courteous and their follow through is amazing. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and follow-up including credit for one Winterberry seedling that didn’t grow. Seedlings hardy and robust..quick delivery and well packaged parcel. Thanks. Highly recommend this nursery !
Ordered twice. Reliable shipping and delivery dates. Well packaged. About .5% (one half a percent)failed to survive transplantation. Fairly priced.
First time ordering online and it was a breeze. Speedy service, well packaged trees and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to ordering again next year!
Placed 2 orders in spring total 3 plum trees, 10 saskatoon shrubs, and 13 blueberry shrubs. They arrived most as small dormant bare roots plants except some blueberry shrubs. Small dormant bare roots trees are exactly what I wanted, plant correctly, they will establish strong roots system, in long term outperform bigger roots bound trees people normally get from garden center. I never had luck with blue berry in the past, my yard soil is ackline, the little peat moss mixed in planting hole only worked for a short time, then blue berry started dying. This time, I prepared raised bed with my own planting mix in preseason, 0.5 part of compost , 2 parts of peat moss, 2 parts of wood chips ( mixed with some pine needles , you can get them delivered from tree removal companies for free), and 1 part of alfalfa pellets (buy it from a horse feed store or Peeves Mart, a bag of 50lb for about $15, alfalfa is great natural all purpose fertilizer), add some elemental sulphur according to label instruction. Finally I got healthy blueberry plants this year.(sorry it is not relevant to the review here, just in case someone is like me before, love blue berry but struggle to keep it alive)
Highly recommended! Tree Time provides a professional and reliable service, and my trees are doing great.
First time placing an order but I took a chance. The trees were shipped and delivered exactly when they said. When I opened the box I was shocked to see what I was sent BUT faithfully planted and watered. They grew and as tiny as they are and were they are blooming! Some have numerous blooms for being 4 inches high. I'm very happy and will be ordering more in the fall for spring planting. My order was for weigala's.
It was a great experience. All the seedlings arrived in excellent packaging. They are all growing very well. Would definitely recommend, I am very impressed and will definitely order from Tree Time again. Thank you.
Easy to order from, love that it goes to rural areas by Canada post. I've ordered from here several times and everything has been well packaged. No complaints ????
Ordered 3 times, most of the seedlings have put on nice growth. A few were DOA, in my second order. They did honor their guarantee though, and gave a refund for the dead bushes. The delivery was good. Was shorted, on my last order, but they were willing to replace.
Everything arrived in great condition and fast. Really reasonable prices too.
The trees I got were excellent except for 2 out of the 30 I got one was broken and 1 failed to grow. But they came through with warranty but I have to wait till next year.
Great service. Quick delivery. Great packaging and products. I highly recommend.
My order from TreeTime came early, was told that it was a mistake on their end and I would be given new trees as it was their mistake. Told in writing and verbally. The Customer service rep said that new trees would be given on a voicemail on my home phone that I missed before I even requested new trees to be sent. Stated that these trees would be given to staff and not sent back to me. The same trees arrive again after already being shipped and damaged. I made an appeal to general manager for a replacement. General Manager goes off on emails pretending that I threatened their customer service representative with a bad review two weeks ago. I have all my emails saved that did not happen I did not say I would make a bad review with the customer service rep on May 22 I said that to the general manager on June 4 when I realized that they had misrepresented facts by providing the same trees twice that had already been shipped and taken out of cold storage twice. General Manager stated I made unreasonable demands; the customer service rep said I would get new trees before I made any demands. I asked for nothing other than what I was told. I should’ve asked for the refund after the first mistake. They said they told me that the trees would be replaced to comfort me and that the trees were fine. Regardless of if they were fine they should not have told me something that was not true. I don’t want to spend money at a company that sends packages by mistake. Bottom line: There warehouse shipped my order by mistake. I was told something that was not true so that I did not ask for a refund at that time. Waited two weeks and found that what I was told was not true. I do not recommend purchasing from an organization that has customer service reps making statements that they cannot live up to. Extremely bad service I was not taken seriously. I have all emails saved and voicemail messages recorded with times. It could’ve been resolved two weeks ago if they had been honest. Got my money back but they would not admit any wrongdoing. Expected honesty and transparency after their shipping mistake appears that that is too much to expect.
Great company. Care for you even after purchase. Will be ordering again! Thank you so much.
Great company! Good Products, good service! Very happy with all the trees and bushes we have purchased.
Love the shipping date selector. The trees came in good shape and were a great size. Will order from again.
This is our second year ordering from tree time, and for the second time we are impressed with customer service! They never doubt if a tree doesn't survive and are quick to refund. The employees on the phone are always friendly and helpful. Thank you tree time for treeing our acreage!
First time ordering from Tree Time. It has been over a month since receiving the berry bushes I ordered, and I am still feeling impressed by how easy they made it and what excellent condition they arrived in. I will be using Tree Time again. I may not be a huge client but they made me feel as though I am. Loving the berry bushes, they're all thriving thanks to some excellent info included with delivery.
Treetime has been phenomenal. Customer service quick and knowledgeable, and they plants are hardy and resilient. Will be going back year after year.
We knew nothing about this company so were a bit hesitant about ordering! But we were very impressed with the service...the trees were shipped and arrived exactly as promised. The caragana were in excellent shape when they arrived and are thriving in spite of drought conditions.
Ordered 50 trees to Kingston On. Arrived in good order and the saplings are looking great. Very happy with my purchase.
I ordered from tree time for 1 specific reason. They had blueberry bushes and I was super happy when I was able to purchase before they sold out. I also ordered a haskap berry bush which comes in a bundle of 2. I eagerly waited 2 WEEKS for my order to ship. On the day of shipping they inform me that they don't have any blueberries for me. At this point it's too late to cancel my order. You need 48 hrs before shipping. They did however refund me the cost of the blueberries and threw in some raspberry canes. Thing is I HATE raspberries so I didn't really care for that to make me feel better. Anyway today the plants arrived and I'm honestly shocked. I've never ordered live plants online.... And never will again. It was literally 2 skinny twigs. For the haskap berries and sticks with roots for the raspberries. I've yet to plant them but at this rate it would be like 5 years before I see any fruits. Moral of the story.... Go to your local nurseries. You will get more for your money.
Super easy to deal with. Answered all my questions in regards to how to take care of my trees and as to why some were surviving and some were not. Plus, the one's that never leafed out they gave me store credit for! Awesome company!
I have been very disappointed with their service (or lack of service), as I am still waiting for an order that I made late in May and paid for to be shipped or to arrive. The order should have been shipped on May 31 and should have been delivered early last week as per the order confirmation email. It never did. Consequently our planning to plant the trees last weekend was laid to waste. I received no confirmation of shipping and there is no one to answer my phone call as to the whereabouts of the order. Several calls have not been returned and it has been a very frustrating experience so far. Spent $400 bucks and still waiting to hear back to my email and phone queries. SAD!
I have been buying from Tree Time for 3 years now. The trees and shrubs that they've helped me pick are growing beautifully! Cannot wait to get some berries from the shrubs I bought this year. Customer service has been great to me when I've had questions or concerns. Really love that I can place an order ahead of time and choose a specific shipping time for the spring. Definitely recommend!! The photos of 2 trees and 1 shrub were all 1 year seedlings. White Spruce planted 2019, Tamarack planted 2020, Aurora Haskap planted 2021.
