This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Farm.
Picked strawberries with the wife, had a great time :)
We had a great time here!!! I'd like to give 7-8 stars if I could!!!
Wonderful day out with kids! All staffs are so friendly and helpful!! Loved little playground area shaped like a pirate ship and a train. Will be visiting more!
This place is wonderful and kid friendly. Their preschool programming is so good we've signed up every year. The kids love picking strawberries and we finish off our visit with a huge serving of strawberry shortcake! The frozen pies are also really good. The play structures include pirate ships, giant slides (back area, not always open), a big wood train, and more.
Love the u pick berries
A nice place to visit, friendly staff. Paid to attend the Strawberry Festival, but paid admission didnt include any kind of perks, aside from the live band. Still had to pay for upick, and the only other things going on were face painting and tattoos for the kids, which also cost money. Go on an off day, and check it out. The store sells loads of fresh stuff and baked goodies, very tasty stuff. The pickles are AMAZING.
Awesome love this place!
Just sad there is no strawberry today , but haply with the staff and the people there. clean and nice
Sweey plants
Great place for family! My husband and I enjoyed a lot.
Lots of fun for the family. Great please to pick your own in the summer as well !
We spent a beautiful afternoon here visiting the animals. It is a must see
Yummy strawberries, big farm and nice people, lots to pick
Loved it.
Loved it! Although it had snowed and was a little mucky, we enjoyed every minute!
Visited this place and picked all fresh vegetables…
Good selection but they need more staff at checkout
Fun activities with family see how plant grows and have first hand picking experience specially with kids!
This is our second time visiting TJF. On the day we went they ran out of strawberries, it happens. Somehow the staff seemed non interested in their customers. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come into the show room to purchase something. They were out more interested in a huge load of blackberries. Could just be the time of day we went, about 5pm? but just kinda felt pushed through otherwise.
It should be zero. Owner or care taker is so mean...it’s probably the reason why this guy ends up a farmer and poor for his entire life???? I would not recommend this place. Paying expensive and low quality berries are not worth it????
Absolutely dreadful. The website and Trip Advisor aren't updated, so we were really disappointed when we got there. There are absolutely no activities there, allegedly due to Covid, which was really disappointing. There are minimal vegetables for the U-Pick and what is there isn't fresh or isn't ready. They desperately need to water their crops. Definitely won't be going back here.
Great fruits and vegetable. Great customer service. Thank you.
Great variety of fruits and vegetables you can pick yourself or sometimes buy pre picked. Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful.
We had fun, but there was hardly anything that we wanted to pick available. The toilet was overflowing, but got cleaned up quick and the people were very friendly. I suggest calling in advance to make sure what you want is available but overall it's was good.
One of the best place for fruits and vegetables picking plus kids playing place and not of fun. Free parking lot and handicap parking. Handicap access in shop . Public restrooms and you can book your fruit to pick up in boxes. Very friendly customer service. And good souvenir available too outdoor sitting. 2 minutes drive to highway. call them and follow them on their facebook page so you wont miss any opportunity.
Great for Strawberries. Love it every time we're here
Great to go for strawberries. All sorts of produce also. Some fun kids play equipment if the kids get bored.
Very cool
Great place! We were here for school programming. It was very informative and fun for the kids. They have a great play area for the kids. We all enjoyed our day.
????????????strawberries ????????????
fresh as possible, beautiful, what more can I say. My berries were delicious!
We've been here for strawberry picking before and visited again for a recent field trip. The kids seem to have a blast on their unique play areas and we're now watering and loving our sunflower seedling.
I was initially turned off by the admission fee too, but once we were inside and saw how much there was to do and tasted those delicious strawberries, it was totally worth it. My toddler loved every minute of being at The Jungle Farm, except riding on the tractor. I think the noise of the engine freaked him out. We picked berries, but there were also a ton of veggies you can pick too. There are two giant slides to go down - so much fun for mom and dad too - a corn maze, bean bag toss, farm animals to feed, hay bale fort and a whole lot more. Overall, The Jungle Farm was a great way for my family to disconnect from city life in Calgary, let the kid run free and relax. I highly recommend The Jungle Farm for young families!
(Translated) Delicious strawberries and raspberries. (Original) Смачна полуниця і маліна.
Visit every year! Wonderful place for pumpkin picking fall photos and good family fun!
2 lb. Potatoes $ 14 too expensive and small potatoes i never come back
Such a lovely place
Very pleasant staff, good service, very delicious berries. Enjoyed
(Translated) Review for Koreans: A beautiful farm near Red Deer. It is quiet and very suitable for teasing children. I don't play for a long time because the facilities aren't so many, but I can pick up strawberries, and above all, there is no admission fee (except during summer festivals), so it's easy to stop by. It's just off the highway, so it's perfect for a stopover from Edmonton / Red Deer to Calgary. In the opposite case, it takes more time to go from Innisfail to Red Deer.
Great for kids
I dont know why I waited so long to review this wonderful farm. The staff are best bar none and the service is exceptional. I always get my cucumber pickles and cabbage here to make pickles and Kraut. This year making carmelized onions as well. Best place to pick up quality local produce.
Great produce, lots of fun activities.
Very rude service...
Really easy to find ... great place to stop for a snack .... strawberry shortcake anyone?
Good place for strawberry and vegetable picking. Their price are good. Not much of structures and the portable toilet is very dirty and smells disgusting..hope they will maintain it clean, even a little...
If you plan to go here make sure it is the harvest season because you may end up going there with limited fruits to pick.
At first worried about being muddiness due to recent weather. Owners responded in timely manner to FB message, and I was able to go for last pick in the field that was closing for the season. Woo hoo. My 2 year old had fun playing on their little playground. Next time, hope to spend more time picking other crops.
The best strawberries I have ever had!
Great farm for vegetable picking
great fun for the whole family
Awesome visit. Staff is very courteous. Lots of strawberries and vegetable to pick. See pictures below A must visit in season.
Lots of good produce, areas for kids to play, interactive learning groups for kids.
I snuck in and bought a big basket of their fabulously sweet fall strawberries. ☺️
The Jungle Farm is close farm fruits and vegetables picking in Calgary area. Located at innisfil. I rate 5stars. My kids told me that the best day ever picking strawberry and Saskatoon berry. All the staff guides is very helpful.
Always great strawberry picking. Lots of fun for kids.
I've ordered a weekly produce box this year from The Jungle Farm. So far I've been very happy with it. Will update as the year progresses. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Not only do they have produce, but they also have starter plants so that you can grow your own. Ask them about their strawberry roots! Update: worth every penny. Good variety. It's a little too much stuff for two people (a half box would be awesome), but would be perfect for a family of 4 or more I think. U-pick option can be pretty picked over by the end of a work day, depending on the type of produce. Strawberries and potatoes are definitely worth u-picking however.
Went for pickling cucumbers. Kids enjoyed the ship & train.
A good place to spend time with kids, they will love the strawberries and other fresh veggies to pick. Corn maze is ok to solve with your kids. Staff are friendly too. Nice place.
Lovely place for fresh upick veggies and fruits.
I love this place, I've lived by here my whole life and I've never gone in until this year. I ended up buying my flowers here this year, can I will continue throughout the years. They also do vegetable boxes which we became part of this year, the first one is this Thursday, we are very excited!
Simple set up and easy to find. Took my adult friend and family in late Sept. Not huge variety of crops this late but we still spent over an hour prowling the fields for pumpkins, peppers and sunflowers, and my kid liked the play structures. This was during covid so we'll come back another year to see the full potential. Unfortunately, yes, the outside toilet isn't fun but it's there so we were grateful.
So many different types of berries and veggies to pick from. The strawberries were so sweet, they didn't last 24hrs in the baskets. Ate them like candy.
Fun day at customer appreciation
Really fun experience but this place could get really busy. It brought back a lot of childhood memories of picking in the fields. The strawberries were bursting with flavour. Usually having store bought, they simply don’t compare to eating local!
Kids had a great time love they loved the equipment. It was a little wet out there
I come here every year for the Strawberries in July. I love how there is a u-pick for fruit and vegetables so close to Calgary! Prices are a bit high but I don't mind pay to support a local business. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming, I can't wait to come back this year!
Had a great afternoon
Love this place! I'd recommend this to family and friends! Cute place for a date!
yummy!!!!
They have it all: berry and veggie fields, a ship and a train! I recommend this place
Great family experience. Good covid rules in place.
The u-pick strawberries are a neat experience, especially with kids. There is a nice little place to get a sandwich. They have some fun summer programs for kids as well.
Great people and the best black currant jam any where
Nice play area, kids love it, will definitely come back
Kids live going to Jungle farm to pick strawberries ... Testing them too is always good....
This is a great Upick farm. The fruits and veggies are delicious and the open space is just what a city folks need.
This is the worst farm in canada by far. Poor customer service and the farmer is very disrepctful. He told us to leave after he himself didnt even give proper instructions and after 2 hours of hardwork picking fruit they kicked us out in a very disrespectful manner yelling at my little sister who is 5. The worst disrepct i have ever encountered by far.
Waste of time, nothing to pick. Unless you follow them on Facebook you have no idea until you arrive. Website was useless in regards to what they had left to pick
Very happy no picking... order and take home when ready
Worker are so rude....farm so muddy and they don’t provide water to wash your feet one of the worker make us walk on the mud..
This is the best place to pick your own strawberries! Found it last year and I plan on going every year now.
More of fruit and vegetable picking. Few structures for kids to play with.
Great place for school field trip for little ones. Also they do a variety of events here during its season. You can go pick berries or veggies or even buy some plants.
Picked some pumpkins and it was fun. Pretty cool place
Helpful
Great experience and lovely people. Lots of options out there and owners are very approachable.
Love the fresh veggies
Awesome strawberries, friendly staff. Great upick selection for vegetables as well.
Awesome experience strawberries are amazing
Great place to pick fresh strawberries! Great staff, very helpful. The kids loved the play structures!
Lots of fun for the kids. Bathrooms were horrible.
Good place to pick some berries with the family
Last year 2017 strawberries were giant and super sweet. This year are not that good I will give it a try next year. The 2 starts are cause we were sent to a field right hand side of the barn. After I paid and was waiting and other family was sent to another field and the girl literally told them "that field is not goog (pointing to my field) go in that one is much better nobody nobody pick up there for 2 or 3 days" so why i there were sending people to the bad field?? No good no fair
Family fun, outside. Plenty of hand sanitizer and port a potty. The food is ok
Best place to pick strawberries! They're so fresh and at an incredible price, it's worth the drive over. Yum!!
This year strawberries????are small but tease very good
I have had gone to the horticulture several times in the preceding years, with mixed feelings. It's a nice relaxing place with a beautiful natural environment. Yesterday (16 Aug 2020), I was there with another couple. One of the staff welcomed us and gave baskets to collect strawberries etc. Up to there, everything was okay - the pros side. Now, the cons: => Nobody informed us about the entry fee. => Veg & fruits are charged exorbitantly. We collected a modest amount of strawberries, plus some veg. The couple we invited to go with us also collected a minimal foodstuff. The cost at a grocery store for the total purchase wouldn't be more than thirty-five to forty dollars. They charged my friend $75 and me? $71!
Picked stawnberries
Great place to take the kids, staff are friendly, tons of areas for the kids to run around and play while mom enjoys a piece of strawberry shortcake. We’ve been doing the drop in Playschool and my kids and I have really enjoyed it. Did I mention the strawberries are delicious?!? Would recommend the Jungle Farm to anyone :)
Wide variety of fruits and vegetables to pick. Friendly staff and good prices. Play structures for the kids to run off steam too.
Love love love this place! Great place to bring your family.
Wonderful experience. The strawberry is the top quality of Calgary! My kids had lots of fun there.
Great day spent with the family. So much to do, and the u-pick was awesome
Took my children here this year to pick some raspberries and vegetables. Everything about the experience was lovely, although I admit it was rather confusing navigating as a first time visitor. Employees seemed to be under the impression that visitors know where to go and what to do. I had to ask many questions to finally figure it all out. The employees were friendly, but seemed to lack awareness around how to guide beginners. I’ve been to similar places that ensure you stick to one spot so that they can provide unpicked spaces, but it was more a free for all. We weren’t restricted as to where we picked out berries and this resulted in a lot of time searching before we identified a good stretch that hadn’t been picked over. I’d go back, but will go with a different set of expectations next time.
Awesome strawberries
Nice people passionate about farm. Nice experience.
Very fun experience for kids and adults
The play area and structures for the kids are great. The farm staff are all helpful and friendly, and the strawberries are the best!
If I could rate my experience a 10/10 I would, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the fruits and vegetables are always so delicious. Picked strawberries the first day they were available, and they are lovely.
Really awesome place great produce. Weekly veggie box is really great.
I would give a zero star rating if i could. Drove 2 hours with our son to go see the "corn maze" and all the other really cool things they advertised on their website, just to arrive and see they have rotten pumpkins and 2 play structures. If your looking for a family friendly day this is not it. I would have rather gone back to K3 farms as it actually had what they advertised and our son had a blast. 10/10 domt recommend. Extremely disappointed son and parents. ???? maybe update your website so that people dont waste away their saturdays driving for nothing..
Fun jam making but even more interesting hearing about the history and about the crops grown here
Now you have to pay entrance fees. Not only you paying for strawberry or something else, but also admission fee. It's golden fruits and vegetables now at the farm. Not worth at all.Soon we gonna pay for air to breathe around. The only one good side in all this ripp off.The fruits and vegetables here does taste like a normal things, and not like garbage
We went vegetable picking twice and loved it as a family. Child friendly and easy to keep physical distance! Their strawberry and vegetables are so yummy!
Its great for kids
if there was a zero star i would give them zero. #1 there was a $3 entrance per person which we understand since there was an event. How ever $3 per person for a family with 4kids only there to pick strawberries. so we paid $18 to wait for our number to be called which they completely missed our turn so we waited a good 45 mins only to find out that our number was completely missed. #2 it was gloomy and rained on and off and there was barely any shelter #3 the bathroom was a disaster. All of which we kind of just let go since there was an event and there are just some circumstances that cannot be avoided UNTIL we went to pick our strawberries. An older guy in gray cap and red plaid shirt that told us that we were stealing and that he needed to make money too. He said to us "You people get out". He said this in front of our small kids to the point that our 5 year old got scared. yes our basket ws starting to get full but would have paid for another basket if he asked nicely. We have people visiting us every summer and the Jungle Farm is one of the places we usually take our visitors even without visitors we come here at least 3x a year. Now we wont be anymore.
