First shop at the new store. I really wanted to post a great review! I went to get a few things, and checked their flyer beforehand. 1. No PC organics grape tomatoes in stock that were advertised in the flyer. 2. The flyer apples were incorrectly priced on the shelf. If the flyer says 4.88, why does the shelf say 5.88? Is this on purpose? 3. The flyer peppers, like the apples, had a different (higher) price on the shelf. 4. I bought 2 bottles of chili spring roll sauce because they were on sale for 2.68. However, when I got home I see I was charged 3.27 each. Sigh. 5. Despite scanning my PC card for optimum points, I received none of the points I was supposed to get that were loaded on my card. I was advised by a cashier to contact PC optimum directly. What a huge time suck for $3 or so in points. Wow. All this for under $40 in groceries. Ok Steve. Ball is in your court. I really want to shop at your store. Update: Was initially a one star review. Now it's 3. Why? Because I received a reasonable response. So I will shop there again, and I hope others try it too. The problems I encountered shouldn't occur. But it is a new store and problems occur, but can be fixed if there is the desire.

We shop here fairly regularly because they usually have Coke Zero on sale and they have garlic pork rinds which most stores in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain (like Superstore) do not have.

Very convenient location. After a price comparison vs. Walmart, Steve's No Frills comes out cheaper for most products. Although their packaging sizes are much smaller than Walmart. So cheaper yes, but you're also getting less. It's a great place to pick up odds and ends though.

We head over here Saturday or Sunday mornings towards open and it is nearly deserted aside from employees. It's very well laid out and as the name implies it does away with non-grocery stuff which simplifies my shopping. Extremely clean, well lit, and very organized. Employees are friendly and helpful. Selection is more limited than a full on store like Safeway but that's the point. Produce quality seems superior to other options in the area as well which is nice.

I have wanted to write a review on this place before, then you have a good experience with the lady at the till so I figured its just me having a bad day. BUT today is the final straw, the girl at the till shouldn’t be working in this position as she has the professionalism of a rock. No Frills is your best bet for next day online orders if the other stores can't get it done in a day. So far they have had everything I have wanted without substitutions. One tip: they need the large delivery carts because when I order online, I order large volumes and it doesn't fit on the carts well and they are harder to roll alone, fully loaded, through the snow. I had to help the sweet lady who helped me because she was all alone. Thanks, Carole! You were so kind under the circumstances ❤

I was really excited about the arrival of the No Frills in town but almost every time I've been there since it opened they are behind on stocking fresh produce and dairy. I find myself spending tons of time digging through what they do have to make sure it isn't expired or moldy. Until things improve I will be going elsewhere so I'm not jumping store to store.

Overall pleasant shopping experience. Have had some products go bad 2 days after purchase so be mindful of how you store them. Keep in the fridge to extend the life of some breads and produce. Store is very clean and organized and the staff are very helpful. Pricing is really fair and some items are on really good sale price.

The selection is limited and the prices aren't all they're cracked up to be. The best way to get the most bang for your buck is to make use of the reduced for quick sale items and stick with the generic varieties of products. Above all, know your prices before you go. I held off on a number of things because I know I can get them cheaper elsewhere. Yes, they do price matching and I've gone down that road before but, it's a lot of work. It can pay off if you can dedicate the time.

Store does not stock 'normal' items..like tea and coffee..sure they HAVE tea and coffee, only specialty items. They only carry Beatrice dairy. Can't buy coffee tea or milk...so I am forced to shop elsewhere. Nice store though.

NEEDS Employee training on how to listen before reacting. I was at the self check out and I said no to the lady for bags thinking I would put them in a cart before I left because I only had a basket and like everybody got a little too much stuff. So after paying I started packing them back on the basket to go to the door and she started saying no ma’am you can’t do that, I TRIED telling her was going to take it to the front of the store to get a cart but she tore the baskets from my hands like it was cold hard cash. She dumped all my food out on the conveyer belt behind me. So I went to get a bag but she blocked me saying 5cent a bag you said no to a bag… then threw one at me, said thank you and wished me a good day. I don’t know maybe she’s going through some hard times or something. I just know that nobody deserves to be treated that way. :(. October 6, 2021 1:45 PM (about)

More tills needed to be opened as self check out did not allow people with carts to go through! I was turned away. All other stores I've shopped at in spruce grove allow people with carts at self check out. Will not be returning. Other stores will be more than happy to take my money.

Skimpy on the fresh produce, and the meat selection is virtually nonexistent. And quite heavy on the breads and processed frozen foods, so that lack of proportion drops them at least a star. But where they've really failed is parking. It used to be that Spruce Grove Transit commuters could park there in the morning and it was a good fall-back "park and ride" if the other roads in Spruce Grove made you miss the connection at the main Park and Ride lot downtown. But since they instituted a 2-hour maximum for parking, all commuters have had their schedules disrupted. Thats a ton of fuss over a whole 7 people, and its a really greedy move on the part of No Frills. Especially as those parking stalls go unused otherwise. And it was a foolish decision too, because all of those commuters shopped at No Frills one or twice a week simply because it was right beside where they parked. That loss of a few thousand dollars a month to No Frills is probably negligible, but the loss of goodwill toward that small handful of commuters isn't.

Everything I expected and more! Just moved to Spruce from Edmonton and stayed away from the No Frills as they weren't very well maintained but definitely not this location. Found everything I was looking for and everything was fresh and great quality! Will do most of my shopping here now as it's so close to our new home.

VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED!! The staff I found to be extremely helpful so yes I'll be back for sure. Where this No Frills is located is a fast growing part of Spruce Grove and because of that there are a bunch of new stores going up all around No Frills...will No Frills be the only anchor store in this development? I guess only time will tell but as it is now I'll be more than happy to drive from Stony to shop here.

The floors in the produce and bakery area were dirty. They were almost out of bread and very low on fruit. I've tried shopping here since it opened but always run into issues with poor selection. Hopefully they can fix this issue, very hard to do business like this.

I was surprised to see no one wearing masks not even staff. I was the only one. It's a different story in Edmonton. About 80% of people are wearing masks and if you're not, you feel out of place.

We went to the Spruce Grove No Frills the other day we had 4 things in our cart. One of them was a big case of water heavy to carry. We were about to self checkout when this older lady who was 60'sish with white hair cut in a bob hairstyle. She abruptly told us carts are not allowed thru checkout. She had the most bitter look on her face I've ever seen. It was like she treated us like we were her lackey soldiers. It made me not wanna shop at No frills ever again. We turned around left our stuff on a shelf took our loonie and left. On way out I told her Cheer up life is short. I wouldn't wish her Napolean ways on any military anywhere. And yes 1 employee does have the power to stop a customer from returning and yes we will tell our friends. She obviously has no business being anywhere near people...maybe in her past life she was a crabby junkyard dog? Warning if u wanna be treated like a military foot soldier by this older lady then ya go for it.
