This is one of the smaller grocery stores in the area but they do a good job of covering a wide variety of merchandise. They do maintain an organics section which isn't so common at the smaller stores. Prices are often the lowest of the local stores and they will price match with any flyer. They are part of the Loblaws umbrella which gives them access to the PC points program. My only deduction is that on this particular trip their already small produce section was quite picked through and didn't have the greatest assortment of items.

I like the prices but shop the sale prices if in the store . I have noticed that they dont stock the sale items as i went in early on the date of the sale gone already ..no wasnt stocked ... and other sale items only a few and gone by 11 am. They dont keep stocked on sales not good for business if you have to keep returning to buy then the gas you use is the cost of the original price.The store is clean and the staff very good.THE Owner is customer service ORIENTED and remedies the problem right away..kudos Paul.,plus if you have the paper from the other store's they will price match.

Great place to stop in and grab some essentials but after a long weekend the stock goes down and they dont have alot of things due to cottagers goers! The cashiers have been nice and friendly and the people stocking seem to be helpful and friendly! Always plenty of parking ! Dont forget to bring your loonie for the cart

Cleanest grocery store in Midland. Excellent pandemic responses. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Produce is fresh and maintained well. Shelves kept stock and you won't wait in line long because they open the tills quickly when it gets busy. My only complaint, like all grocery stores these days, is that they are leaning on self checkout. In Midland it is rarely used and the consensus is that we would rather keep their staff employed. My review was five out of five until they added the self skin Isles. Despite the argument that it still requires one staff member to run all of the self-scan Isles. I would also like to call into Rogers and speak to a real person under the same principal.

The cheapest place to buy groceries in town. Prices are generally $1-$3 cheaper than other stores. If you don't bring your own bags they have some you can buy, or they'll charge you for each plastic bag you use. They have a bunch of boxes for free that most people use to load up their groceries. Very friendly checkout staff and other employees. A downside is they don't accept Visa credit cards.

Costs a loonie for a buggy! Don’t carry money anymore. Used a hand basket for 6-2 liter pops and a few other items. The cashier would t let me take the basket out to the car. Said I’d STEAL it. But, she handed me a looney to get a basket. Had to walk outside get the basket bring it in to load my grocery, take it to the car, bring the buggy back, return the looney. What an inconvenience. I SHOULD HAVE JUST LEFT THE BUGGY WITH THE LOONIE IN IT OUT IN THE PARKING LOT! Won’t shop there again. No wonder they’re not busy. Walmart is across the street. No charge for buggies there. I don’t know where they think the buggies are going to disappear. This store is essentially in the middle of nowhere. It’s a tactic to save money so someone doesn’t have to round up the buggies in the parking lot. ONE LESS JOB FOR SOMEONE.

Billed price is higher than display price. When reported, they just did a price match. They supposed to give the items for free if there's a mistakes as per store policy. Be aware of what you pay on the till. Always check your receipt.

It's odd that during this pandemic every other grocery store has an employee stationed where the carts are to be picked up and dropped off and carts are free. On 5 seperate occasions that I visited this store not one person monitoring the carts and you have to pay for a cart.

Nice to get into the parking lot, they only have a few disability spots, so chances could be they are full. Store is accessible and products are somewhat easy for us, but why do they always put products I’m looking for on a top shelf argh. They are very helpful tho. Right across from Walmart superstore on highway 12. Also other stores in that area as well so check it out. Get out and discover ????????

Paul's is a well run grocery store with great value on everyday items and super specials weekly. They do a exemplary job keeping the store well-organized and tidy. The check outs are fully staffed at busy times and moves the line quickly. Perhaps one day a self serve checkout may be added as it is very convenient.

Today my experience at this store was embarrassing and humiliating. As I gathered my groceries it was quiet and enjoyable. I finished and headed to the checkout I decided to use the self-checkout. As I approached, I asked the lady tending to the machines which would be best for me to use, as I had a cart and I wanted to stay out of the other shoppers way. She was annoyed from the start, and told me it would be easier if I were to go to an actual till. I responded I wanted to do my own checkout. She unhappily walked me to my self checkout station. I started to get organized and scan my items. I didn’t realize the light for help was flashing and she was very annoyed that I hadn’t scanned an item through properly. She also muttered that had I gone to a till it would have been much easier and faster. I then got frustrated and told her in a stern voice I was not in a hurry (had there been a line up I would have not done self checkout). She then stood there and watched me like I was a thief, as I scanned the rest of my items through and packed them up. As I finished I asked her name. I told her I would like to speak to the manager or the owner and that it was a very unpleasant shopping experience due to her service. She told me her name was Bonnie and that management was on lunch. She then asked my name. I told her.... and then she said ‘are you sure it’s not Karen?’ I under no circumstance was verbally abusive throughout this heated checkout.... but apparently it’s ok for the staff to verbally abuse customers. I then called to complain as I got to my car. The girl on the phone took my name and number. She said that they’d ‘try to call me back’. I said ‘try????’ Her reason was they were busy. Thanks Candace and Bonnie for the excellent customer service today. And thank you Gord for being too busy to call me back. Last time you get my money.

Very rude staff. One of the employees ran into my 86 year old mother with her cart and hurt her. Did not apologies and took off in a hurry. My mother realized the cashier did not give her the right change. So she went back into the store to tell the cashier this, and was told she had to wait 15 minutes to count her till. Then the manager told my 86 year old mother that she was basically lying. Seriously. Lying about 3 dollars? ???? Will not shop there again.

So.... my mother, a senior citizen went in on a snowy miserable day looking for 1 item. Anyway, long story short. An incredibly helpful employee helped my mom, walked her products to the cash, waited, she paid and he proceeded to walk her out with her purchases and help her to her car. We dont know his name, but we are going back to find him and tell his manager what an asset he is to the store and the company as a whole.

They have an extremely poor selection of products. I wanted to buy some gel or pomade and they have literally one kind of hairspray and some mouse. Ive been to convenience stores with 4 times the variety and one fourth the space. Air ball.

This No Frills is awesome! Its one of the smaller ones (Vs some in busier areas) but that is a positive rather than a negative. Carts take loonies here so make sure you have one to save the embarrassment and confusing of tying to shove a quarter in way too many times.

We do shop at Paul's No frills on our weekly shopping trip. The vegetables are always stocked, staff i have spoken to always know where or if the products i am looking for are there and where they are. Price matching happens smoothly if done. Paul works the floor with the staff and seems to run a tight ship. Cash staff never lacking. Only thing needed in this store is the return of good old cardboard boxes at the cash, I always did prefer boxes to bags.

I had just finished some small top up grocery shopping and was fully and completely annoyed that about 30% of shoppers wore no masks even though a store provides them. All women so maybe it was a fashion statement not a compliance with public health order. When I mentioned that to the cashier she commented "people will do what they want to do " to which I suggested that refusing service might go a long way ... she just moved her shoulders in that special way and our discussion was finished.

This place used to be awesome. I have a small business so I shopped there daily. They aren't reliable anymore. They won't put something aside for now. They used to. They always stand good for competitive pricing. The weekly flyer always has something that a person needs and uses as opposed to items that may look attractive but for the best part only drive up a rewards point balance. The timing of sales items such as laundry detergent per season is pretty much on target providing a person purchases the right quantity to last between sales dates. EG. I would use 4 containers between the time for the next sale flyer. It is not often that there is a limit of 1 item per customer. The checkout is not usually too long. The boxes that were once available for packing groceries are greatly missed by many.

They do not keep the handicap parking clear or properly signed. As soon as the painted staff symbol is covered anyone uses the handicap parking. For a town with alot of seniors and others with the handicap sticker, that should not happen.
