I go to this place all the time. Solid selection of (mostly seasonal) produce at excellent prices. Weekly specials are always a great deal. Out of season stuff is more expensive and hit and miss. They do a nice job of getting stuff from Alberta and BC as much as they can. Good availability of produce for south Asian cuisine as well, given the Millwoods location.

The parking lot SUCKS but this store has the *best* prices on fresh vegetables in South Edmonton, so I brave it weekly. They maintain clean floors, good customer service, and are always well stocked! Often there are fresh pita and baked goods from other local vendors, too.

It is a good place to shop for veggies but you cannot stock it for a long time. The prices are way cheaper than other grocery stores such as Walmart/Superstore. You get all varieties of veggies and fruits at affordable prices.

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about H&W. I went to buy just vegetables and found the romaine lettuce to be filthy and with more holes and tears in it then any other brand I had purchased from any retailer. The asparagus was more expensive than Sobeys, Safeway or Save on foods and subpar. I found the celery was the best bang for my buck. This review is based on one visit only and I would give them another chance with everything but the romaine lettuce.

Millwoods location is the best spot for variety and quality! I go the extra mile to go to that place. You can sign up for their email to get alerts on sales. I picked up a crate of raspberries the other day for only $12! Reg Price $56 at any other store!

I'm not sure how they do it, but this place has the most incredible, broad selection of fresh produce I've ever seen, for sale at a price like they just need you to come take it away for them. Lots of staff, too much staff, and just like the pantry from the garden of eden, lush, brightly coloured vegetables glow tantalizing as far as the eye can see. The number 70 bus stops right in front of it and there's a light right by it so it's convenient in both directions. If you've never been, come once; it's worth it.

This place, in my opinion, is one of the best stores you could buy produce from. The produce are mostly fresh, and the prices are, in most cases, more affordable than other stores. The workers are friendly for the most part. They have their not so great day, but that can be tolerated. One things that might touch many people is the gifts they offer their customers for spending about 60cad (am not too sure but, it shouldn't be more) there. You won't regret shopping there!

I come here for veggies. Prices are very good and most of the time they give free something if you spent $30 or more , like one time I was given a bag of cucumbers ,next time one pineapple , one watermelon for free . They do have breads here as well by favourite is raisin bread . Very limited selection for dairy produce only milk,butter and cottage cheese. This place is usually crowded on weekends so have to look for parking. Onions are fresh and big bags are on very good price as compared to other stores . Most of the time if I buy big bag on onions from other stores most of the onion are bad but when I buy from here onions last longer and are not bad . Bring your own bags .

Great place to buy quality produce. They have abundant variety and the produce are mostly fresh and also priced a bit lower compared to any of the supermarkets. The also seem to have some random offers at the cash counter. The last time I visited, I got a bag of potatoes for free for my bill crossing $30. Remember to bring a loonie for the carts. Only gripe, limited shared parking, so getting a spot depends on the day and time.

Been going here for 6 months every week for mass 100s of dollars in fruit as me and my kids are fruit nuts. Went in their like any other day call case lot go to the back start looking threw oranges the girl that brings me back their dont say a thing to me as i start to look over the oranges and change out the ones with mold on them so i dont have a half a case of mold. Then some other girl comes around the corner and starts yelling at me on how im not allowed to do that and im breaking the rules. I asked her to stop yelling at me and that iv always done this and have asked before doing so every other time qithout issue she ru s off calls the manager so while shes doing that im like w.e start puting the fruit back and just try and pick out a half usful case she then comes up phone in hand and the manager tells me she said i was swearing at her lol i litterally said 2 sentences to this girl before she stormed off to call the manager . The manager kicks me out of the store threw the phone for picking threw fruit like omg this place is savage iv always done this and always been greeted with ppl who are friendly. Im trying to eat fresh and they kick me out of the store for picking threw fruit like qhat a joke. Needless to say ill be calling everyone and anyone i can to get this sorted out but will deff be taking my 100 to 150 a week someqhere else aswell as talking to my 4 nebours who are also their multiple times a week. Who employes liars and kicks out paying customers haha

This farmers market or produce store has good hygiene. The people there are really kind and polite and they also gave us a free bag of potatoes. We bought 7 cauliflowers. I also like how the place is decorated. But the only small little problem I would like to talk about is that some apples and fruits aren’t looking so comfortable. In fact, They have bad and mushy spots. But that’s nothing to complain about because the service and the hygiene are both 10/10s.

I love H&W Produce! I save so much every time I go. It's a great value because they don't inflate the prices like the major grocery stores! Plus the quality is as good if not better than the major grocery stores. For example today(May 20, 17) Russet Potatoes are 0.69 lb red potatoes are 0.98 lb!

ONE OF THE WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE!!!! Staff are incredibly rude (especially the supervisor and the owner). Very obvious that they do not care about their customers, nor wish to hang onto them. I normally love to support small businesses, but not when they are run like this — whatever happened to the customer is always right? This was my first visit to an H&W store. Very fresh produce, and a wide selection of fruits and vegetables for Western and ethnic cuisine. The store was super clean, well-organized and products were clearly priced. Limited mainly to fruits, vegetables and some dates and nuts and a small selection of fresh bread and pita. Staff were friendly and helpful and prices were excellent. I will be returning here for my produce in future.

My sister was in there yesterday. Apparently if a 6yr old child doesn't wear a mask the staff and manager embarrassed the parent in front of whole store including announcing not to serve them over the speaker. My family have been regular shoppers at H&W Produce for some time now and have never really had any issues there. Yesterday however as I was waiting outside for my sister I observed the employees spraying the baskets and the carts with Lysol. Not just a few sprays but literally emptying cans onto them. These are the same carts and baskets that people put their food in. I could not stand there any longer I had to go inside and say something. As I walked in I inhaled a cloud of the aerosol right through my mask! I asked the girl what she was doing, she told me she was disinfecting the carts and baskets. I said do you think that it is safe spraying that much Lysol on these carts and baskets that people put their food in and take home to their families? She said yes! Smh. I had to inform her that Lysol is poisonous if ingested, she looked shocked and said she was just doing her job. Look I get it, we live in crazy times and everyone wants to be safe but cans of Lysol on and in things we carry food in? Not to mention that the aerosol lingers in the air for quite some time and that everyone that walks into the store is inhaling these fumes for sure. There are so many alternatives to disinfect especially where it comes to food! Vinegar for one and also many food safe eco friendly sanitizers on the market. These industrial disinfectants like lysol and chemical based hand sanitizers can do a lot more harm than good to people. I'm not blaming the staff, they obviously didn't realize how severe it can be. Although it does say right on the can to "contact poison control if ingested"! Owners and mangers need to do a little more due diligence on this considering you are providing food that people take home to their families and that is in constant contact with poisonous aerosols. I actually feel bad for the staff who have to inhale and absorb those chemicals through their skin on a daily basis. If these are the practices in the front of house it makes me wonder what goes on in back of house where no one is watching. I understand the situation that we are all in right now, but we still need to use commonsense and not just blindly follow direction without using our own discernment especially when comes to very important matters like our food. We will not be returning to H&W Produce until their sanitizing practices are changed.

they sell produce and a few other staples, prices fluctuate a lot based on what's in season/what they can get a good price on, they sell mostly 2nd best produce, so it's not the same standard or uniformity you find in larger grocers. That said if you're not high maintenance and willing to adapt your diet based on what's in season H&W is one the best value grocers in Edmonton. They staff have also been friendly every time I've been in.

Only place I will go to get fresh produce, friendly, knowledgeable staff who are working within the guidelines of this very strange and scary time. So when some **** doesn't wear a mask claiming "medical exception" (yet you're still out and about getting groceries- go figure) the staff calmly and respectfully ask you to leave, even offering to do your shopping for you and your response is to yell at the staff and disrupt the customers and the workers there still managed to make the shop as pleasant as possible. 5 stars!!

Super solid prices. Dare I say best in Edmonton for produce. Some dairy and bakery items are also conveniently available. The food does seem to not last as long as other places but is seriously worth it as long as you use it up in about 1 week. Friendly staff and super service. I would highly recommend.

Walking into H&W Produce is the place to go for all your fruit and vegetable needs. They have many varieties of fruit local and exotic. At prices that will make you come back for more. Wide variety of vegetables from green leafy to dense tubers. They also sport large quantities of special root vegetables from around the globe. I am always amazed by what I get to see and taste. They have the best prices but one does need to use the fruit and vegetables up quick as they won't last long.

Absolutely LOVE this place! With all the new guidelines for small businesses to follow through Covid, I feel as though you guys are doing a great job following them! Unfortunately today some lady thought otherwise about the mask policy and took her ignorance out on the staff. I was there. We all saw you. I for one am not upset that she said she won't be returning. One less dip sh*t to worry about while I shop with my mask on. :)

Store environment is ok, mostly crowded. Staff was good. Shelves were stocked. But store is not as clean & welcoming as other locations like west end Terra losa. I may visit if I don't have time to go to all the way west side of city but I would prefer to drive & try to go to west side location.
