This is the best garden centre in western Canada. My wife and I visit it many times every year. Also, we enjoy the afternoon tea and creme brula at Branches, the very nice restaurant inside the centre. I bought this beautiful little air plant there today.

I love Greenland garden centre, the staff are friendly and helpful. I live closer to another garden centre but I drive out to Sherwood park specifically to go to Greenland instead. I once had a staff member spend like ten minutes explaining the difference between all of their raspberry bushes so that I could get the best ones for my needs.

The manager at the counter is extremely rude and disrespectful. My husband is a landscaping contractor and has an account with Greenland. He is very busy in high season. That’s why I am helping him with design and some small tasks, e.g. to pick up plants for his projects. Yesterday, I dropped by Greenland to pick up a couple of missing plants (cost $300) for his job. When I wanted to pay for the purchase, the counter sales told me that I needed my husband’s ID to use his company account. The fact that I can provide a phone number they have in the system, company name and address wasn’t sufficient. I offered that he could call them from the company number to confirm my purchase. I deemed this to be reasonable proof. While waiting for his call, I explained the situation. But the “lady”-manager instead of setting my plants aside and letting the other people pay for the purchase kept asking me inappropriate questions like whether I have the same surname as my husband; whether I have the company address on my ID. She was trying hard to prove that I am a liar in front of the other people waiting in line. Her rude and discourteous behaviour made me cry. I felt embarrassed, humiliated and miserable. The counter girls offered some options. When I decided to pay the full price, my husband called them & clarified the situation. But instead of apologizing, the “lady”-manager asked me to show my ID. When I showed it, she said she couldn’t see anything and told the counter girl to check it. After all this show, no one even said “SORRY”. Finally, they told me that my husband could add my name to the company account. Seriously? You couldn’t tell this before organizing all that? I still don’t understand why you made all those people wait in line instead of setting my order aside and letting me wait in the store until my husband called you. I am appalled at this unprofessional behaviour from your manager, and I am disappointed with your customer service. Never going back and won’t recommend this place to anyone.

The staff were friendly. When I asked if they honoured mask exemptions the greeter said they don't like to, and the owners may make them mandatory soon. I asked again, she wanted to know if I had a medical exemption. I said yes because I do ( It is unlawful to ask) I felt a bit harrassed by her. Eventually she directed me to guy with exemption stickers, I put one on. A couple of staff asked me to put a mask on then saw the sticker and were nice and friendly. The lady at the door may need to understand that if she is saying they may not honour exemptions in the future and asking about medical information she may deprive the owners of future customers. I felt this was the greeters personal behavior and not the policy of the store or owners. They give out mask exempt stickers fro those needing them.

This is the first time I’ve visited this lovely establishment and my friend and I had an excellent experience. Shout out to Winston for potting three of our plants and giving us great knowledge of said plants. Also, Elizabeth was a big help wrapping up the plants for the -20 weather!

We come here way too often and spend way too much money! Haha! The quality of the plants, gifts, clothing, and garden supplies are all top notch but their prices are astoundingly reasonable. We love coming here as a full-day experience, sitting on the patio for lunch and a drink, walking their beautiful gardens, browsing their gigantic selection of wares. It's absolutely amazing! #supportlocal

Tremendous amout of selection, wide variety that was very well organized and priced right. Peonies were priced right on the money unlike Salisbury Greenhouse that was over 4 times the price for same size and variety. Many other plants were in better shape here and priced better. If you feel like a glass of wine or snacks before or after you browse for plants this is the place. Definitely will be a returning customer.

Worst customer service & poor plant quality! We made a purchase of about $150 last year. Got 4 plants with 1 year guarantee and were told if they don’t come back next year we should just provide our phone number at customer service and will get the refund, which is why we never took the receipt from them. However out of 4 only 1 plant came back and 3 died unfortunately. We drove for 45 mins to get the refund or even the store credit and they simply said we don’t have your number in our record and we can’t do anything about it (well then why you misguided us at the first place) We also showed them the pictures of dead plants with the plant name tags which clearly said ‘greenland’ on them still they did nothing about it ; rather the staff was rude! We wasted our money, gas & time. Never going back and won’t ever recommend the place to anybody. Guys ‘Salisbury Greenhouse nursery’ is the best! Amazing plants and very helpful staff.

The garden is absolutely beautiful for a wedding. Had our wedding here and the place was stunning. We had minimal decorations (some rose petals for the aisle and some drape on the arch) so that the emphasis would be on the garden and I wouldn't change a thing. Greenland was great to work with during the entire wedding process as well and I love how everything turned out.

My wife and I always enjoy coming to Greenland. There is such a larger variety of plants and succulents. We go at least once a month to see if there is anything to spice up our home with. We especially love the herbs, fruits and veggies plants that are offered. For those that like to go from scratch, there is a wide variety of seeds and bulbs for all your planting wants/needs.

I love the variety here and how lively the atmosphere is. However, when I purchase a $150 palm I don't expect to bring home an infestation of spider mites. Edit: I was told I would receive a full refund if I returned the bottle palm, however I decided to try and save it. Bob hooked me up with a bottle of spider mite pesticide. I washed every frond by hand with a damp cloth then sprayed it with the pesticide. Took about 4 hours but I was able to eradicate the pests. Unfortunately, the hens and chick's I purchased have a really bad aphid infestation. Due to this I will not be increasing my rating as it seems that Greenland is more interested in hiding its pests rather than controlling them. Buyer beware, quarantine any purchase you make and be prepared to put in some time and effort to eradicate pests.

Have been coming here with my mom for the past couple years. I have NOT one negative thing to say. And my mom is a hard customer to please lol. The staff each and EVERYONE of them are kind and respectful and have a ton of patience which I highly respect myself , I like how they also take there time to help there customers and not rush them out the door . They are highly knowledgeable also .. very enjoyable experience each and everytime we go, its a beautiful place with a GREAT variety of items . (If u need it ,they more then like have it ) THANK you Greenland Garden staff ????

I loved this greenhouse. The staff was super friendly, they are following covid guidelines, their plants were beautiful and well cared for with a pretty good variety in multiple sizes. And they beautifully wrapped every plant I purchased without even asking! The prices were midrange, but the quality of the plants were outstanding, so even though I've seen them cheaper elsewhere, I didn't mind the slightly higher prices- They were still pretty reasonable. Lastly, it was just a pretty place to shop! It's well organized, the displays were clean and easy to navigate, and I found the atmosphere very pleasant! 10/10 will shop there again.

Another delightful visit and lunch. The Scallops and Polenta were delicious. Shopping here is always a treat. Although too early for the grounds to be set up, there was still plenty to explore. Washrooms are not disabled friendly but are clean. Ample parking and an easy access off the highway. Staff are efficient and restaurant service was excellent.

It has always been 5 STAR So beautiful, elaborate, welcoming and perhaps the Best garden centre in Edmonton area. Huge variety of annual, perennials, deciduous, sun loving, shade loving plants, herbs, shrubs, pots, fountains, and name any home garden paraphernalia, you will get it it here. And a nice eatery and snacks bar if and when you are a bit tired of walking around!! Lost ONE STAR, ŃÔT because of being a bit pricy, here and there, BÛT being told by one of their customer service team member (when I told her that Birch Leaf Spirea at this place is 30$ while the same is 25$ at some other Nursery), that I should go to the OTHER NURSERY. I showed her the picture and price but she just shrugged off???? How RUDE? But that’s the only freak instance!! Did my review help in any sense! If yes please say so????

So pretty, so nice, so bright. This is your X- mas store. During regular season, you can find boat loads of plants. The resurant has delicious food. Waiting times can be over an hour, but it is worth it. Just another excuse to buy more stuff????

While I do love the options this greenhouse has and the majority of its staff, I witnessed a manager (I’m assuming) treat a cashier like garbage because she stepped away to use the washroom. Things are tough enough for customer service staff right now. It’s disappointing to see a business adding to it.

I was there in late September for house plants and was not disappointed! An extensive variety of house plants that the big box stores don't typically carry, plus great variety within those plant species. Ie. There were 6-8 different kinds of calathea that I saw, and often in a few different size of pots to match your budget and ambitions. Prices were reasonable for a greenhouse IMHO.

There is a great botanical garden off to the right when you drive in and park. Love this place, it’s my happy place to go to smell the flowers. The variety of plants, trees and flowers is crazy. Besides the the flora everything garden related is here, it’s your one stop shop for gardening. But wait there’s more, unique gift items, clothing and planting pots. This is a great place and there is also a restaurant. It’s expansive and even though there can be a lot people it’s not crowded. As I said in the beginning I love this place. July 6, 2020. One of the many times I have returned here. Probably the best greenhouse in the Edmonton area. Always lots to see and just enjoy the ambiance and the plant’s.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not just. garden centre, came with my three young kids, 3,5,9; they have tons of fun. We explore each section and learned a lot from water plants to bee house. We spent 3 hours there and each kid got a carnivorous plant home. Happy kids happy life. Don't miss out their botanical garden.

I always enjoy visiting this place. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Every time I visit I leave happy. I also just recently visited and seen a plaque that I absolutely loved but did not buy. The next day I decided to call the store and see if I could buy it over the phone. And yes I was able to. This works wonderful for me as there was only one plaque and I was not able to get back to the store for a couple of weeks, I live almost an hour away. I recommend this place to everyone.

I bought an overpriced plant ???? Came here for the restaurant, first the hostess wouldn't accept my vacine reciept from a pharmacy so I quickly downloaded a passport ok good to go. .. girlfriend presents hers uhm sorry we can't let you in because she got vaxxed 12 days ago... The place is kind of nice, and the botanical garden has a nice little path but all the staff where REALLY rude and sorry can't comment on the restaurant besides clueless hostess had to ask the manager about every step ????.

I gave it a 2 because the staff were great. The selection for Christmas was good. HOWEVER I picked out several items because there was 40% off - NOT. The site indicates 40% with some exceptions. I tried to click on exceptions but nothing happened. When I went to pay for my items she informed me that it was only 40% off if you are a member and that all the signs indicated this. I looked online and just noticed the 40%. I was not going to spend $20 on a membership to get $20 off a purchase. I have been there twice in the past year but found better selections and prices at other garden centres.

Purchased thousands of dollars worth of edging. The order initially was wrong and had to be re ordered multiple times (Greenland’s fault). It was poor quality with broken pieces as well as the wrong color. The ones that came in the right colors sun faded within the year. It was agreed initially that this was a poorly made product and it would be replaced. Greenland would not take accountability with a refund or help me out. They kept referring me to the manufacturer which is down south. Wayne who works at Greenland initially said he would make it right, but shortly after stopped replying to me or calling me back hoping the problem would just go away. Now I have a pile of overpriced garbage, broken concrete pieces. If you shop around locally there are plenty of other options for your landscaping needs that have better customer service and respectable return and refund policies if the quality is not to your expectations. Greenland is overpriced generally and clearly don’t care after they get your money.

I was looking to start a water garden... first time! Read online there was a water garden area so I was very excited to see what they had. I met a lovely lady name Pam who works there and she went above and beyond necessary to help me. The stock was low and she started me with what I should get for basics but she informed me all new plants were coming in. I went back for a second time and Pam once again out did herself with such great service and advice on what I needed. 100% could not have achieved my mini water garden without her! The water plants are beautiful and can't wait to see how they grow! Thanks for the great service! Greenland is a beautiful greenhouse I will definitely be back !

There’s a reason these guys are the best. They hit the nail on the head in all aspects 1. Customer service/retention 2. Variety 3. Quality 4. Style I’ve purchased several trees and plants from here and all are gorgeous quality. The staff are always super friendly and prompt to help. You can tell it’s a very upbeat work environment and the staff are happy. The owner provided me with an exact time of planting and they arrived on time. They made sure I had full control of where the trees were planted and the orientation. They didn’t put a shovel in the ground until I was happy. Even more, the owner came and helped me plan all my future landscaping – I took a lot of his advice and my yard turned out absolutely stunning. He has a true eye for beauty. They are a bit more expensive than some places – sure. But you certainly get what you pay for. Thank you guys!!!

A little late for this review (or early), but you need to visit this place around Christmas time. I’ve never seen so many uniquely decorated Christmas trees!! If you need inspiration for your tree, or motivation to get you in the Christmas spirit, this is the place to go!

Such a beautiful garden and what I consider a hidden gem as their gardens don't get the publicity as the greenhouse itself. Have helped out with weddings that used the gardens for their ceremony. Staff have always been very responsive, accomodating, and friendly. The fee to have photography taken here is a bit higher than other places but it is definitely worth it as the brides I know have all had incredible photos here.

Greenland provides amazing customer service! I ordered a gift card to their restaurant Branches for my parents. I live in Vancouver, so I asked if there was any way they could personalize the card with a message from my children to their grandparents for Christmas before they sent it out to them. They did, and it was a happy surprise for my parents to receive in the mail. I'm so impressed that they went the extra mile, even during the busy Christmas season. Thank you so very much!

Greenland just sent me an email and they are the first business that is now discriminating against those that cannot show proof of vaccination. Even for medical reasons. They seem almost gleeful at this. Shopping here and spent hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars each year. You just lost a long time customer. Shame on you!

I have bought about 5 plants from here. Last year and the year before I bought Areca palm, peace lily, fiddle leaf fig and this year (today) I bought Jasmine and Peony! The staff is not helpful at all and never has been. Today the manager of the indoor plant section had no idea about the plant (Arabian Jasmine - care instructions) I was talking about and said the person who would know is on break. I said I would wait and I was in the nursery for another hour and she never followed up (very unprofessional). For the record, I was around her and she could clearly see that I was around. I wanted to buy more shrubs and plants but I never bothered asking for help as none of the staff looked like they wanted to help. Although the store has a great aesthetic, I have found it a bit pricey and I will say today was my LAST DAY here! For anyone reading this, please shop around before making a purchase here, you won’t regret! Lots of other stores in Edmonton and helpful staff.
