As you know, we do not usually stop to write opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Fruit Store is classified in the category of Farmers' market.
Great place to stock up for the winter! Little pricey ... but worth it. Customer service is great at any booth ????❤✔
A lot of high quality vendors. We will be back for sure.
Easy, free parking. Some really great vendors! We come here frequently.
Much improved over the old street market, but it still needs more variety to make it a regular visit.
(Translated) Beautiful market with good local products! We took advantage of several .. mmmm! (Original) Beau marché avec de bons produits locaux! Nous avons profité de plusieurs.. mmmm!
Smaller than Strathcona but way easier to get into - no line-up vs Strathcona's down the street and around the block. That said, the variety of vendors is excellent as is the quality.
Wish it was still on 104st outdoors!
I have a hard time walking farther than a couple blocks. It's a small local market with fresh produce reasonably priced, and there are handpie vendors. The treat of one keeps me returning every week. There is usually parking available with ample parking lots nearby. There are handicap parking spots usually available, too. But not always in the height of the market.
Great vendors in an historic building, warm and inviting...Don't miss it....
I can't say enough about this place. From the variety to the quality, it's fantastic. I'm from California and so I'm hard to please when it comes to Farmer's Markets. But this is actually my favorite ever.
LOVE this Farmer's Market. Has such an amazing selection, it is not too busy. All of the vendors are super friendly. You can find everything you need for a happy belly at this place!
Wide variety of stalls and friendly staff. Beautifully restored building.
in love with the building, also wanna eat all the goods
Loved the scenery and the vendors, the sellers were just awesome.
Always a wide variety local products and foods at a decent price.
Since the market has moved to its permanent year-round location vis-à-vis the court house, it has gained more atmosphere (at least in winter and compared to the temporary home in city hall), longer opening hours (Sunday), as well as a number of appealing new vendors. Overall, better selection and a really good crowd make for a great experience.
Excellent n fresh produce. Free parking for farmers market customers. Proper socisl distancing maintained.
Enjoyed my trip to the Farmer's Market today with my sister. Lots of great vendors. So much cool and amazing stuff. Definitely got way more than I needed today ! Excited to try these Spicy Habanero Pickled Carrots and the Peach Moonshine!
Over all, I love the city market. But it's so much better when it's outside one 104 St. Otherwise, it's still got the best vendors, diverse product, and a friendly atmosphere.
I expected more vendors. Not alot of selections. But what I did buy was great. Meat pies, taco chips and veggies.
Love it here. Big G Foods is the best
A great selection of vendors, beautiful space, and lots of free parking! My go to market!
Great experience! Super sunny and bright, spacious, and a sweet old elevator with an attendant. Also, a bonus yoga class!
Not as good with covid still around. Plenty of vegetables and fruits. Crafts as well. When covid is done it will truly be worth going to.
It's nice to have them indoors in a permanent location downtown. They are struggling with the city of Edmonton in getting permits however. We especially like Thai San Thai food from Duean, and we buy from her very regularly.
One featured vendor was not present. Was turned away by the open-air side on 104th Street cuz I arrived early. 11 a.m. opening time seems a little unusual. The building on 97th Street was nice but as I said some featured vendors were not there.
It is good you can get fresh vegetables in there.
Lots of fresh food and vegetables and arts and crafts I go there every weekend
Lovely location, there's Beer! And entertainment. Our favourite is the home roasted peanut guy.
Indoor and outdoor market selling fresh produce, premade meals, pastries, and etc. Be sure to check the second floor inside for more stands and the cafeteria. Ample street and lot parking around.
Fun but small
There is a great selection of vendors on Sundays with really good products and deals. I'm looking forward to going to the market on a Saturday!
It would be nice to have places to lock up bikes nearby.
Good selection and friendly vendors.
Great place to get my fruit and veggies, honey, kambucha and eggs!
Always a great experience. We go there every weekend.
Love the downtown indoor space. Cool history, free parking lots of room. Elevator access to second floor.
Wonderful people great veggies ????
Very cool location for the market. Lots of interesting vendors and food.
Love the new location!!! Bright! Clean! Comfortable and indoors!!!
Very spacious, variety of vendors (art, wood, veggies, food, meat, clothes, jewelry, pastry), and has clean bathrooms. In an older building over 2 floors - definitely visit the 2nd floor for some awesome coffee at On the Edge.
Exciting and fresh
My first experience in this market, I like the combination of fruits, vegetables and meat, love it.
I love the lay out and very nice informative people
Nice big open space with 2 floors and some tables to sit down at and drink a coffee or eat a snack. It also has an artist's corner which is a nice addition. There was one lovely piece I liked but it was $2500 over my budget. Another cool vendor sells chocolates and super interesting smoothies which I will be back to try. Fresh produce from Kuhlmans greenhouse I think it was were excellent. It was pretty quiet which I liked although the vendors would like more people for sure. Super chill atmosphere compared to the old Strathcona market for example.
Finally opened! Beautiful space. Still some work to be done on 2 floors but it will get there!! So happy it opened!
Though it's winter, the 104 St Farmer's at City Hall is good with the cold weather fruits and vegetables which are locally grown along with locally made products. An enjoyable experience.
Expensive
Lots of Free parking, passionate vendors, quality food, art, and items. Gotta check it out
It was slow in the morning however afternoon it picked up. It was awesome
Fantastic, there's a little lemon aid stand and the drinks are satisfying.. (and their cold.)
I love the experience of supporting local farmers as I believe in eating foods that can be produced locally.
Great little setup in the non-peak/winter times. Easy parking and access but good market selections. One of our favourite weekend stops.
Lots of space between people, friendly vendors and a smaller market for those of us that appreciate a smaller venue
The new space is great! It's large, open, warm and has tonnes of free parking. (PRO TIP: The adjacent Impark lots are free to park in during market hours.)
Still prefer the outdoors one over the indoors one. 4.5 stars for the indoors. 5 for the outdoors one.
A lot of variety and fresh items.
I love the fact that this market moved back to 104st. For me it's closer to where I live and not having a car means I have to carry everything home after I go shopping. I can only carry a little because of my limited mobility. It's great for some that it's ultimately going to be by city hall, but unfortunately I won't be able to carry anything from that location because it will be to far to walk.
You have a really nice market it is well and clean, but sadly i do not feel safe to stay here...by the time i went in the appartment to check it i was gone for maybe 10 min and when i got back to my car a man was trying to open my trunk and he spitted on me when i yelled at him to leave my car alone
Lots of great produce and artisans..
Spacious and well put together, great place to get local products and produce.
A good and interesting variety of knick-knacks, crafts, prepared foods and frozen fish. Expensive, but these are the times we are in, all services are friendly, located in the old Army& Navy store. Worth the visit!
I like the new location.
There is a good place to buy some vegetables and if you want to spend time there drinking good hot or cold beverages you can besides eating some snacks like a cake.
Really like the new space, and free parking on market days is a bonus. I'm excited to see what happens come spring and summer when market season is back in full swing.
Could really use some more fresh food vendors.. but its eay get as well.
Got some food and seeing someone who i have not for a long time
I usually like to go to this during the summer months when it is outdoor. They have a huge selection of anything from alcohols, foods, clothing, and arts. Lots of vendors enjoy giving out samples of their product which really helps on broadening your horizins on different products and gives you something to look forward to buy. All of the vendors are very kind and courteous. They are all very passionate about the things they sell and are always happy to enlighten people that visit their stalls. This is a great date idea as it has grear food, coffee, tea and musical entertainment. I enjoy coming here and I will continue to go!
Too expensive for what they i could do much better at nofrill or ales where plus what ever i bought went bad in few days
Great atmosphere along with it being one of the few historical buildings left in Downtown. The Charm is coming. Could have more live music and vendors but they are working on that. A lot of distillery vendors, leather work and of course farm grown items. My favourite is Theo’s Greek snacks Nan bread like no others. Lots of Natural light gets in through the south side of this building, very nice in the cold of winter. 2nd level is being planned for use soon with more vendors coming on board. Free parking in lot on east/back of Building Market day only.
I’m starting to love this place
Great market for the winter. Super market in the summer
Great handycraft, clothings, and food essential by local folks. Organized very well security Patrol most of the time and there is no rubbish or garbage at all.
This is a great market with a nice relaxing vibe.
What's to be expected after the long delay
Very clean and good social distancing practices. Pay special attention to ocean odyssey, the always have something great for dinner.
Very pleasant market experience, bright and open. With plenty of available parking.
Fresh produce, meat, pies, drinks of all kinds, friendly community.
Almost dead just before Christmas??
Wonderful market for finding the unique gifts.
Well layed out and lots of parking
Indoors and out, it was great. Good selection of farmers market fare and in the new location there's Sun and free parking!
Easy getting in and out with high quality products. Friendly and well laid out.
I hear on the news that they are both back on 104 st for the as summer! Bonus!!! fabulous market that had a long tradition.
The best vendors in and around Edmonton.
Found this place by accident, what a wonderful surprise! Something for everyone, plus an old style freight elevator with an operator--quite the experience!
Lots of awesome local businesses that you can pick up from! Food and snacks to jewelry and accessories alot of indigenous artisans as well and an awesome seating area to grab a bite and sit on the second floor. There is free parking behind the building.
Lame.
I liked this place, there is a lot of choice for fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices and a good pie shop. I got the impression that it was not in its best form during Covid, but everyone working there is friendly and helpful enough.
Love the new location. I can’t wait for it to fill up a bit more and have the outside seasonal vendors as well!
Lovely people, lovely products! Support local!
Very nice atmosphere with some fair prices on organic foods!
Cool inside location for the cold months for the downtown farmers market. Being that it is inside City Hall there are a limited number of vendors. What is there is a good variety. City hall is iconic and so it’s nice and airy. Soon it will be back to 104 Street and outside.
Slowly ramping it. First floor up & running. Second floor still shut.
Great selection of vendors, was very nice to see quite a few smaller vendors that are newer to the farmers market scene.
It's a great farmer's market for a wide range of items. We love to get our apples, veggies and granola there. Best thing is to check it out yourself, because you don't know what you may find.
Bright, clean, and an amazing selection great place for fresh local goods.
Visited for the first time in Dec and it's quite a nice location. Not a ton of vendors but is winter and most hibernate this time of the year, so I am sure it will fill up as the year progresses. Was very nice to walk thru the old building and to see the work done on it. Looking forward to a few visits over the winter months. It's great that parking is free and close to the building. Worth visiting for sure!!
Best selection, not too busy and free parking. Awesome
Careful attention is being paid here to social distancing and cleanliness and the vendors remain as helpful and cheerful as they've ever been. It's folks like this that make it so rewarding to support local vendors.
Get everything you ever wanted for produce in Alberta. Highly recommend the asparagus from Edgar farms.
Lovely place to shop for locally made products, got myself some of the most green and healthy lettuce I’ve seen and some great mint.
All year round.
I am disappointed with the new location on 97th and 103Ave. I checked it out this opening weekend on the Sunday. The market was much smaller than the location on 104th Street. The 104th street was quaint and relaxing to walk around. There were so many patios where you could have a bite to eat or grab a drink and just people watch. It was a favorite place to spend a Saturday morning. The new location is in a very sketchy area and I did not feel safe parking my vehicle there. There was one fellow who kept loitering around the parked vehicles. There were maybe a quarter of the vendors at the new location compared to 104th and there was no where to sit and just enjoy a drink. It is just not the same atmosphere. I understand they are looking to revitalize the area and are renovating the old garment building to make it a year round market but that renovation isn't going to be done until August. They should have left the market at 104th street until the new location was fully ready to go.
Lovely to see the Red Strap Art Market space live again!!
Really like the new indoor space! It's great that the vendors can have proper fridges and coolers and displays.
Lots of variety. Lots of space. I'm glad they were able utilize the building and find a permanent home.
@yegdtmarket #yegdtmarket Local Farmers’ market in the heart of our city’s downtown. Every Saturday and Sunday, year-round. I love it for the beautiful open space in the historical building, the fresh organic produce, freshly baked goods (including Gluten Free options), organic meat and the amazing people and artisans who share what they have cultivated. At times they also have local artists provide a musical backdrop to the local market experience. The convenience of free parking for customers adds to an already quality experience and is such a strong message of support and collaboration between communities and businesses of our downtown. My go to for a community farm to table shopping experience. Takes me back to how our relationships with food were created when I was a child. I definitely recommend.
Great vendors. Found some terrific late summer fruit and veg.
Absolutely love the vibe of this place, exactly how a farmer's market should look and feel in 2020. Felt safe and able to shop without the fear of covid19.
Love this outdoor market and great outdoor patios too.
A great way to support local growers and sustainable environmental practices.
It's an amazing shopping experience and would encourage all to go
Loved the selection of vegetables, fruit, microgreens, meats and vendors. Love having this little market to shop at. Love being able to support local.
Diane is great!!
Great people great priducts
Great fresh produce, no line ups , lots of fun booths of friendly vendors and a wonderful wood man. Free parking !
Nice quiet market. A must go if you're looking for a calm market for a good time
Everyone was really nice!
Wonderful choice of vendors
Great place to buy localish produce and goods. Super friendly people, not to crowded.
Great. Better when there were more vendors!
The new location downtown really gives the market a new cool feeling! Love the selection here, lots of cool one of a kind foods and gifts!
I love this place
Great new venue ample assortment of vendors and more to come we hope. Parking is easy nice environment.
Never been
The number of vendors has gone down significantly this year.
This is a charming farmer's market. It has everything one needs. Vendors are friendly. The place has lots of light and space for people.
Was great two years ago.
Some unique artists make for a nice change from the usual market offerings. Very neat space.
I love this new location for the downtown farmer's market. They are still getting set up n But already expanded veggies and vendors here. I
The new market building is warm and wonderful on a cold winter day. Definitely worth the trip downtown on a Saturday morning. There is a good cross section of vendors and the parking is free!
The meal helpers here are awesome. Lots of food vendors and fresh groceries.
Love visiting the downtown farmers market, specifically for local produce. the Greek stall is pretty amazing too
I was there to buy locally source honey. Awesome place!
Perfect escape from the cold temperatures. My wife and I visited here for the first time, on the weekend that winter temperatures arrived. Pleasantly surprised by the layout, variety and quality of stores throughout. Vendors are friendly! Enjoyed a smoothie and some boutique-style cookies!
It is an amazing new venue. Love the concept and can't wait to go back again.
We love the downtown market. Disappointed that some of the regular vendors we used to frequent are no longer there. Glad they have curbside pickup as an option during these difficult times.
So many fruits, veggies, and treats to choose from! Super impressed with their new location and can't wait to see what the rest of the summer brings!
Ok prices at upper end
I found it okay price a little high on things for cpokinh
Great place to check out local goods. Even better for a quick, fresh snack or some amazing other foods.
Great market 80 vendors good selection and parking under City Hall is only 50 cents an hour
Awesome market !!!!!
Enjoyed the stroll through. Lots of selection. Nice wide isles so no bumping into people.
I wish it was still on 104 Street. Needs more bike racks. Lots of selection and great vendors.
The best market in Edmonton, located in unique historical building!
Awesome place. Local products. From produce to meats to handcrafted foods and ethnic meals to handmade crafts.
Great bunch of vendors! Lovely new indoor space, with parking! Great downtown staple!
Working pretty well. Didn't like waiting in the rain.
Love the new location. Little quiet in the winter but still great vendors
Great farmers market with interesting grocery, crafts and local distillery and brewery choices. Social distancing protocols being handled very well!
Would definitely come here for my produce if I were a local! Just visiting town and stumbled across it while going to the art gallery, and decided to have lunch there - Mean Street Food steak&ale pie was really good, wish I could try the others.
Lots of fresh fruits and veg. Also some great pastries especially the crullers we bought from Thoroughfare Baked Goods.
This market was amazing! I love that it's year round and filled with so many cool vendors. Really enjoyed the space as well; the building was really unique and filled with historical charm.
A bit disappointing. Not a great variety of stalls and many empty stalls. Could be great if it fills out in the future. They obviously did their best to create a great atmosphere. Certainly worth our support.
I'm very disappointed in moving the downtown farmers market will not be coming back. St. Albert is the only good Farmers Market now. Very sad day as my daughters and I came here on mother daughters dates☹???? why did you move it?
It is a work in progress, but what they have done it is lovely.
The market was a nice change. Different fare, we will return...
Wonderful new farmer's market with lots of selection. Really loved the paintings by local artist David Shkolny.
Fresh everything YEAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I adore the old Army & Navy building and am so happy the farmer's market has their home there. Amazing local vendors have everything I need.
Great variety of vendors and lots of free parking
Drove for 2 hours to get here and it's not on today. Hours say 9-3. It's 10:30
was here on week 3 , the veggie booths were great venue was awesome but why do the vendors have to charge so much $8 for 4 onion cakes the meat was outrageous and I will never pay $10 for a loaf of bread. 2 of the vendors we came for didn't even show up.
The produce is nice a fresh.
Many variety of vendors offer many products.
Beautiful market with lots of great vendors! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Great information on the building and the 2nd floor had the indigenous vendors. I highly recommend checking this market out! Support local!!!
This is a great market. I love that it is year round and it is a very cool atmosphere in this older building. My two fave places to go are Nest and Dutch Girl, both on the second floor and vegan. But there are many wonderful vendors throughout!
Beautiful building inside. Loved the variety of vendors and the wonderfully restored interior. Check it out!
Nice small market with good variety of vendors.
Our first experience with the new indoor market and it was very nice. Everyone was very friendly. It will be great when when there are more vendors to fill all the spaces.
Slow day which I believe is due to winter, I plan on going back come spring. I'm sure there will be plenty more vendors. Looking forward to it.
It's new inside and very well done, with the same booths and vendors we have come to love
Great
No long wait. I loved it
An array of different vendors. Clean. Really nice layout.
Best market in the yeg hands down
Shangai Onion Cake: Today I tested it in farmers market, it tasts really good and that's why I brought one packate. I asked him can he make it hot in oven there but he denied it. Now realised why he denied to make it hot in oven because he is giving something to test and selling something else. It is cheating with customers Thank you
Good market
Wonderful, free parking, social distancing (befote it was a 'thing'. Great selection! ,
I like this neat space; lots of variety, friendly staff and vendors. Heads up if you bike there, you’ll have to be comfortable locking up your bike to posts and such (not very many around the building). A staff member I talked to about this said they asked city council for such an amenity but was denied. Hope that changes soon.
Very quiet today love the market but not the prices.try to support local business but my local grocery store is much cheaper and great produce locally grown.
Excited to try the rib roast and empanadas I bought today!
Friendly atmosphere. Spacious and light.
Bought peaches and soup and my daughter got local honey and local meat. Lots to choose from
Freshvegetables and fruit are fabulous
Baked goods, crafts and prepared foods. All seemed to be made with passion.
My favourite farmer's market. I love getting my veggies and fruit from here.
Phenomenal collection of some of the best food and crafts in the city. I have my regulars but I'm always delighted by new finds.
Very friendly ventors and a great selection.
Amazing food. you'll want to go while they're on the street as its massive, taking up over 2-3 blocks. The food is amazing and pri ed extremely cheaply. Will visit again, as this feels like one of the larger farms market in yeg
Love this place!! Always fresh food live music. Great atmosphere. They have beers to sample. The spicy nuts are to die for. As well as the ice cream. Al in all this place is wicked awesome. Love it. 10 out of 10. Took my kids here to check it out the loved it!!
Love supporting the locals at the farmers market! They are located on 104 St during the spring/summer but in this building during the fall/winter. Overall the vendors are friendly and the quality of their produce is extremely high. You get what you pay for so to say. Overall if you’re looking for a cool farmers market to check out, the downtown market isn’t bad. St Albert and Terwillegar farmers markets are much bigger and would offer more variety (if you’re looking for a bigger market).
Great selection of vendors, free parking, and situated in a warm building so it can now be open year-round! There are lots of vendors but it is not as busy as Strathcona Farmers' Market likely because it is newer and less established. But that is also nice because it means you can take more time to get to know your farmers and local artists. Definitely recommended to check it out! It's a great little weekend destination. There is also a food court upstairs if you want to grab a bite.
Great food and vendors just wish there were more of them was kinda empty.
Wasn’t as many vendors as I was expecting… Little Bear Gelato never disappoints!
This place is pure gold. Produce, craft beer, meat, art, and clothing. It's well worth a visit.
Best farmers market
My first experience to this market was awesome. All the vendors are very friendly and great stuff to shop. We all enjoyed ice-cream and other food. Fresh vegetables are worth to buy and art lovers have lot to collect.
Always lot's of fresh produce year round and alot is cheaper than the grocery stores
There is a little bit of everything in this market all local merchants mostly natural organic foods but also beer, beef jerky, meal plans, couple local eateries just to list a few, when i went it wasnt crowded Sunday at 2pm closes at 3 it has a nice environment.
The market itself is pretty good with decent variety and they made great use of the space. It pays to shop around for certain items but sometimes you can find some great deals. I would recommend avoiding Steve and Dan's however, I went to go buy raspberries which had no price sticker on them. When I asked how much they were, I was told $6 by one person there. When I went to go buy them, I gave them a $20 bill and they gave me $13 back in change. When I confronted them on the matter, they said that the raspberries were $7 and refused to budge. The one guy working there (who was texting on his phone) had a sour attitude about it too. Well, that's fine, keep the $1, I won't ever go back to Steve and Dan's just on principle. Other than that, I've had great experiences at this market.
Went today at 12:30 pm. Was pretty busy. Stood in line for not even 3mins Had the tables out today, grabbed something to eat and sat in the Sun.
Edmonton market is the only market in the world with prices much higher then in stores. We just came back from Okanagan BC and I was compering prices. I do understand farmers have expenses but sometimes margin is 200% on some of the products? I would love to buy vegetables and fruits from market but the prices should be more competitive. And I know there are transportation costs among other costs but how come it is cheaper to have products from New Zealand or United States then from Canada? Just wondering what is wrong.
Nice and warm with free parking. Selection of vendors isn't as good as previously but still good.
It is indoors
Big G's has the best beef jerky!
Great variety of crafts, vegetables, snacks, jewelry and art. Open area, not crowded, lots of vendors. There's free parking available during the market.
Nice farmer's market with beautiful historic charm. Elevator is manually operated by an attendant (which is pretty cool). Very typical vendors with homemade foods, knick knacks, and farm fresh fruits and vegetables. Free parking in the back on days the market is operating.
The new building is really nice and there's a good selection of vendors but I still miss the 104st one so much. If you do go check out Archive Boutique. She has great stuff and she is so nice and friendly.
Wasn't open when I went
First time at the market thought it was very nice , will definitely be back. There was some very unique wonderful products. Looking forward to when they move inside.
It's ok, wish it was still on 104 street.. seems the prices went up quite a bit as well.
The energy when the market is at city hall is just not the same...dull and vendors seem unhappy or bored. Im looking forward to having the market atbthr new 97 st location!
Has fewer vendors than Strathcona Market, but is still worth a visit. It's open Saturday and Sunday, is located in a renovated/clean facility, and offers free parking in a designated lot adjacent to the building. You should try it once.
Usually very busy, but also a lot of fun
Went there today and it wasn’t even open. Web site said it was open, also said hrs were 11-3 pm.
Lots of fresh vegetables and lots of other locally produced food
Open Every Saturday 9-3 and Sunday 11-3!
Neat local things, as well as Canadian fruits & veggies.
Most shops are open with a few not returning until 9 Jan. Great selection of local meats, local brews. Covid precautions are in place but they are not obtrusive
Lots of amazing local vendors!
Excellent place to meat new people .Great choices & products of all sorts.
First time and was really disappointed. Limited selection of fresh produce and sky high prices.
Great market, a good way to spend the morning in the summer. Looking forward to its new location.
Bad market.
I really like this place
Variety of products and foods.
Thank you, Happy New Year 2021 ! Keep up the good work !!!!!!????????????????????
Very nice farmers market ????
Very nice selection of jewellery to food
Downtown farmers mkt.
Absolutely love this place on the weekends and all its endless variety of food options!
Great, love the food truck!❤
