Today was the first time there was a bad experience in the DJ market. The seller asked me to wear a mask, I replied that I had an exception and went to collect food. A minute later, a market worker came up to me and said that he would not serve me. Frankly speaking, I did not expect this ... while leaving I threw the cart away from me loudly said that I am not a dog to wear a mask ! They violating human rights! They don't take human rights into account because they don't shut down during a fake pandemic. The market will remain open, but without buyers. More than 13,000 people already know about today's incident on the market.

Incredibly rude and abusive staff. They have zero manners. The cashier and another male staff member was yelling at my mother when she was just trying to sort through vegetables. I do NOT recommend coming to this place for produce unless you feel like getting followed and yelled at for doing nothing wrong.

Good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and priced lower than the stands at the Calgary Farmers Market. You can also purchase eggs and chickens, sausages, and jams. The rough/rustic outdoor look of the place, is just as a farmer's market should look. They are not open year round, however. I think they close beginning November and open again in April.

Please update your hours!! I drove quite a ways to this market at 3pm on a Tuesday after checking your hours. I was unfortunately met with a very much closed market with an incredibly ironic “open 7 days a week” sign out front. I feel so bad leaving a one star review for a local business but please be upfront and honest with your customers!

It's the only place to get fresh BC fruit and vegetables in Calgary. The prices can't be beat here. The owner's are very nice they have been around for over 15 years. You can also buy fresh brown eggs. So much more you need to go try it out.

Great little place has been around for so many years. The produce is fresh and great. Prices are much better than the other markets around town. None of the other fluff and junk for sale. Straight up produce, at great prices. Absolutely go check this place out. Open all week, from what I can tell.

This farmers market is awesome! I have been here many times now, stocking up on the freshest groceries that no others can compare to. The staff is very friendly and very helpful, if you have any questions or looking for something specific - someone will help you right away. I have tried many of the items here and I have always been wowed by the difference in quality and taste between here and the super grocery stores. Try this place out, and also help support local business. Most of their items if not all comes from local suppliers from BC, so by supporting this business you are also supporting families and small farmers locally. You won't be disappointed.

I've been going here for years and years, and it's always been the best. Outstanding variety and low low prices, especially late in the season. The owner lady, Hue, though lovable, can be a bit gruff, so if you have a thin skin you should keep this in mind.

If I could, I would give no star. I don't know why they have hired a rude cashier to serve customers in that market. Today I went there with my dad for the first time. I asked a lady who was working there where I could find a basket and she told me she didn't know. After I found the baskets I saw her carrying some baskets to put them back where I got it from. That was a small incident so I just let it go and started shopping. While my dad was picking out peaches from an open box which other people were picking out fruits from the cashier all of a sudden started shouting at him waving her hands very aggressively telling him to stop picking out fruits from that box and pick it from another box. There were no signs saying that we should not pick out fruits from that box. I then tried to calm her down very calmly but she was continuing to yell to the point that other workers had to come to calm her down and instead apologizing she told me in front of other customers that I was abusive while I kept calm through out the whole time. No one apologized to us and when I said I'm leaving the cashier said thank you. I don't recommend anyone setting foot in that place.

A great place to buy fruit and veggies. They carry as much local produce as possible,, and great prices. The owner is a master at picking the perfect watermelon. It's become the only place I buy produce anymore. Lots of other local stuff to.… jam, salsa, eggs, etc. Sadly, not open year round, but worth the visit the other 9 months

I loved this place before. Authentic market with local produce. I got a box of beeries ans half of them was rotten. I went to exchange it and got another one, it was the same. Went rhere again, the guy gave me another fresh box. A rude lady at the counter started screaming "that one is 17 dollars, you owe me two dollars". Seriously, after all the inconvinience, she was in for $2. I told her about it and she went crazy and rude. Might as well learn how to treat your coming back customers.

I've been shopping here for years but today is the experience that stands out above all I was picking through cherries like the two ladies before me for which nothing was said. He, I assume the owner or staff comes up to me and singles me out. No sign anywhere! He tells me that I can't do this. That I need to take what's on top and random bunches. I apologized and proceeded to do that. Then he continues on how what I'm doing is unfair to other customers and bad for business. Then He askes me if I'm done, he just would not stop even after I'm following his instructions . It felt like he was trying to pick a fight with me or something. I complied with what you asked. What's your problem? To me it's just not worth it. I don't need the problem. My wife can shop there if she likes unless you chase her off too but I really don't want to come there anymore.

They have a vast array of fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have jams and preserves and pickled items that are brought in. The lady who's been running it for 30 years was very nice to talk to and she offered to open up one of the unique jams for us to try. I didn't expect there to be as much selection in this little lot. It doesn't look like much but once you get out of your car and go inside there's lots a good stuff

My wife and I have been using this market for a number of years and today the owner’s son was extremely rude, planned to purchase $300 worth of produce and we left didn’t purchase anything. I will never ("NEVER") purchase or return to DJ market after this negative experience. My experience today was very similar to a previous review about a month ago - "The owner very young son worn me not to throw the apple .I said I did not throw it. He started to yell at me, that I'm lying and ordered to leave the store. I never experienced such a horrible way to speak to a customer. It happened to me, can happen to you to. I am a 75 year old woman."

This is a great little hole-in-the-wall not very fancy at all more of kind of a dump. But it always has a good deal on something and the fruit always seems real and fresh. Always a far better selection than I find at any supermarket. And most of it seems to be local sourced and a few special little things canned and made by the Hutterites too. I'll keep going out of my way to go there.

Terrible customer service and absolutely rude staff. I was there today and witnessed with my eyes a cashier yelling at an elderly man telling him to not pick out fruits from a certain basket while the lady with him was trying to get the cashier calm down and stop yelling at them. The cashier then proceeded to say that they are very abusive!!! After the lady said she was leaving the cashier said THANK YOU without even apologizing once. I don't care how good the quality and the prices of your products are you should never treat a customer or anyone else like that.
