We took a chance on VanWees and are so glad we did???? That arrangement was gorgeous and photos were taken so we could see what we ordered. We just ordered a Mother's Day bouquet for Grandma and my fiance's Mom who is visiting her mother in Woodstock. They were thrilled with the "Mom You are my Hero" arrangement. Today, I tried to order a last minute request, which has never been a problem in the past, and was made to feel inconvenient. I was told it's not possible, delivery driver is long gone, and to give a call back tomorrow. Just felt shrugged aside.

I ordered two arrangements to be delivered to two different addresses with a complication; the arrival time of the receipients on the specific delivery date were unknown. However, no problem. The delivery person called a couple times and then delivered early in the evening. The arrangements were beautiful and both recipients were delighted and shared pictures of the flowers with us and friends. Also, I must say, that when I called in to order the customer service was superb. I have ordered arrangements from Mostly Roses in the past and will most certainly continue to do so again. Without a doubt, the WORST floral arrangement I have ever seen in my life. In fact, it was HIDEOUS and not what I ordered. This was just a bunch of old flowers they had laying around in the cooler that they wanted to get rid of, so they threw it in a vase and charged me $100 for it. I have been ordering flowers online for a long time, as I live some distance from family and friends. When I read the other Google review for this shop, I thought "Well, they've been in business a long time. They should be good." So I ordered a lovely bouquet from the selection online to be delivered for my sister's birthday. When I saw what she received, I was MORTIFIED!!!! It honestly looked like the designer had gone into the cooler and gathered up all the old scraps that she had laying around on the floor and threw them into a vase. The arrangement I ordered from the online picture gallery was of soft pale peaches and muted ivory tones of lilies, carnations, alstroemerias and roses. Very elegant and understated. I had stressed repeatedly when I placed the order that I wanted soft creams, ivories and pale blush tones. Instead, the bouquet that was delivered had one scarlet red rose, one giant hideous magenta pink mum (that stood out like a sore thumb), some yellow roses of different hues (they weren't even the same colour of yellow), two coral roses....some mini-daisies (I HATE daisies) and the rest was a combination of white and cream mixed flowers. And stuck right in the middle of the arrangement -- for no apparent reason -- was a tall green spike. Some of the roses had brown edges and others had the outer petals peeled off, like they do when the roses are old and the florist wants to make them look fresher. Honestly, it looked like the scraps off the cooler floor. Nothing went together. There were no lilies, no carnations and no alstroemerias. When I called to complain, I was told that they were willing to go pick up the arrangement and do it over. Who would ever do that? Yes, I'm going to call up my sister and say, "You know what? The gift I sent you is so crappy, that they're going to pick it up and do it over again." That would embarrass not only her, but myself as well. I understand that a flower shop is not always going to have on hand the exact flowers that are shown online and I run into that scenario many times. But I expect them to try to replicate the arrangement as closely as possible....especially when it comes to colour schemes. And for $100, I expect fresh flowers. This floral shop maybe does a great business if you go in personally, but I would NEVER order over the phone or online with them again.

During Covid, our family has been sending flowers more than usual, to our mom. She loves her flowers and has had her days brightened by the beautiful arrangements she has been receiving. In my opinion, this is the best place I've ever used for flowers. As long as we continue to be separated from my mom, I will keep the flowers going.
