Was greeted immediately upon arrival by a very pleasant man, willing to answer some questions on availability of particular plants. He then invited us to take a look inside the greenhouse signaling with his hands to go in the front door for regular plants and pointed right and said the succulents were to the right. We looked around the regular plants, but were most interested in the succulents. There was a young girl working on the other side of a metal screen, I asked how to get over to the area she was in and she said to just come through around a table of tiny succulents. At that time we exchanged some pleasantries. I continued to walk through with my adult daughter, bumping into two more employees who continued to politely answer questions and direct me towards the main succulent area. We came upon some jade plants and I asked an other approaching employee how the pricing works, because there were no stickers or signs showing. At that time this employee requested I look at the sign on the door. At that time, I thought that the sign might have pricing according to pot size...my mistake. She asked if I could read the sign!!!! I was so offended! Can I read the sign?!? Yes I see the employee only sign, that is why along the entire way through the greenhouse, I asked how to get to the main area. She was beyond rude and offensive! “Apologizing” buy excusing her behaviour because of all the other customers who walk in employee only areas. To my defence, this was my first time to this greenhouse, I did ask all employees where I was to go, never was I out of an employees sight, and this place is like a labyrinth! I would have loved to shopped around, my daughter and I actually love succulents, and my home is full of them. We look for unique, new plants all the time. Unfortunately, I was made to feel very unwanted, uncomfortable and belittled by this bully of an employee. I took the trip in from St. Catharines specifically to come here...from what I saw in the very short time there, they have quite a unique selection, however, I did not purchase anything, as i was treated as a nuisance. This employee needs to get some customer service training.
