As a new young homeowner, I have been striving to fill my home with things that are beautiful and bring me joy. It’s hard not just to say “pack up the entire store and put it in my house please” with how lovely everything is, but unfortunately, I do not have the room! Simone and Ivy has become my go-to Saturday treat with my mom; it has something for everyone, reasonable prices. The staff care and are excited to help you figure out what you want and need for your home if you are stuck, but they have never made me feel pressured into buying something. Sometimes a home needs a little extra something; this is the place to find it. Need to rehaul your home and do not know where to start; the staff here are happy to help! This place is like stepping into a Pinterest Post! Another great thing about the store I have heard is that they try to curate most products from Canadian brands. For example, they bring in JACEK Chocolate, a company located in Sherwood Park, a sweet treat to go with your new home décor piece. Overall this is an excellent store in so many ways, but I believe you have to experience it for yourself to truly appreciate the effort in time the people of Simone and Ivy have put into this store. My most recent purchase from them, a chair, two pillows and the hanging piece on the wall.

She has a beautiful eye for artistry and detail, is punctual and responsive and made me feel at ease and valued, as well as respected. Had more fun listening to the staff drama than I did shopping. My wife and I hightailed in out of this place so fast after we overheard the owner ripping what staff she has left a new one. Very unprofessional in my opinion if you are going to reprimand your staff do it in private! No wonder all the good ones are gone. The store is beautiful and my wife would return but she doesn’t want to support a train wreck like that. Looks like my money will be staying in my bank account where there’s less drama!

The store is gorgeous no doubt about it! A few months ago I purchased a few items that I was excited about! Rushed home to find a new home for my new finds and while showing my husband we found two items that had old Homesense price tags still on them. A bathroom sign and a basket. I’ll definitely be going to Homesense from now on so I don’t once again get taken advantage of! Not very professional at all! I’d like to support local but not a business that is take advantage of the community like that, especially in a time like this!

I have never seen a business so generous and caring towards their community. During Covid when the doors were closed Leanne organized a virtual painting class for anyone to join. My family had an amazing time doing this and it was such a thoughtful thing to do for children stuck at home. She even purchased/delivered paint and canvases to anyone who couldn’t access them. After the doors were closed she decided to donate all of the flowers to the St. Albert hospital...another example of how thoughtful she is. I love how family oriented the whole store is and how it feels like your own home walking through the Simone & Ivy doors. These lovely ladies are always so kind and fun to interact with. I am glad there is a local store that truly knows how to make living beautiful, even when shopping online from home.
