Why do you guys dump literally 3 gallons of mustard on your premade deli sandwiches... And then DONT label it properly. No where on the sticker of ingredients does it say that there was mustard on the sandwich. It is one of the top allergens in Canada! You need to label your deli foods better! Not happy!

Used to be the best place for a pleasant grocery shopping experience. It has gone seriously down hill since Safeway was bought out by Sobeys. Product selection is average. Meat quality has deteriorated. Sometimes there are no tills at all, only self serve kiosks. Don't go on a major shopping trip after 9. Dad to have lost my favorite grocery store. I still go because other options in town are worse.

Not following covid restrictions! Just floor arrows. Maybe cleaning cart handle with a wet rag. If they were sincere they would be gracious and obvious. No hand santizers. And hardly any of the other shoppers were not masked. I felt that each and every one without a mask were giving me the finger????????. Will not go back. Go to Costco!

Shelves are always neat and tidy and they have real people on the till that that have training and can do their job without a manager for every little transaction. Well worth what you pay extra compared to walmart or no frills

I am editing my review from the last time it's a hit and miss, with Covid protocols. 1 day it's great cleaning of belts still cleaning carts . May 5th they are no longer using plastic bags only reusable bags, paper bags will cost you 15 cents if you need them. But what about the other Covid protocols are they strictly followed or not

I use to swear by this place but since taken over by Sobey's it's definitely on a downward spiral. The staff before Sobey's take over seemed to be a really happy crew and although they still retain some of that great staff, the mood is now much more sombre. It was also a place that could be relied upon to have the best selection of organic and environmental products and produce but those are disappearing now. I still shop here because I know and enjoy a lot of the old staff here. To Sobey's...Stop homogenizing you different brands. Safeways should be kept as a high tier shopping experience. I don't mind paying a bit more for that.

She spent a lot of energy looking for information and even though we didn’t get an answer that day, I knew that things would be resolved as quickly as possible. Honestly worst place ever. Staff is so disrespectful. I do not know what kind of people you decide to hire but 100% have the worst female staff. What makes you think it’s ok to yell at people for no reason. You can definitely kindly say something to someone if they don’t understand something. You have absolutely no right to be raising your voice at someone over the smallest issue. Almost no one was wearing a mask, and staff legit glare you down like you have covid for wearing a mask. This store is a joke, never coming here again. Wouldn’t recommend others to either if you don’t want your day ruined as well :)

I started using the pharmacy here for two months, had switch over due to my husband insurance company. The lack of service, empathy, care and respect for me was beyond. I am switching now because of this, the pharmacist was very argumentive with me over my sons daily medication which he needs everyday of his life. I understand shortage I understand when things change for a period of time but the lack of communication when it resumes back to normal was and is not existent with this pharmacy the pharmacist than proceeded to tell me take my business else where, as well claimed when I called in the prescription refill I needed for next which was not the case I needed same day. There rudeness, cold shoulder, non communication, poor customer service, lack of care is what turned me away! I wouldn't recommend this pharmacy to anyone in the future.

This a good grocery store located inside Victoria Square Mall. There is a Starbucks located here. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh. They even have an in-store bakery and butcher shop for some meats. This store still has parcel pick-up that allows you to drive up and pick up your groceries after shopping and paying inside. This is very convenient when you have many bags of groceries.

The cashier was quite rude when I declined to take more than 1 bag for my 4 items as I knew one was enough and I only use plastic bags if I don't have my reusable ones with me. I then asked if she needed my air miles number because I didn't hear her ask for it at any point. To which she responded "that's the first thing I asked you and you said no" and then cancelled the transaction as if I had done something wrong and wasted her time. My wife who was with me assured me that the cashier did not ask at any point. The things I needed were available and at a decent price though so I can't complain there. Just soured by the exchange at the till.

Every Friday night closing the doors at 830 -845 when they need to be open until 9. Then proceeds to roll her eyes at me and turn around and ignore us when we try and get her attention to open up the door. Super rude to ignore your paying costumers. If youre advertising being open until 9 then you need to have the doors open until 9. Also have been told to just "walk around" which its pretty rude to make people walk outside in the cold when its -30° and dont have jackets on because were working in the mall. This is every friday night. If you're understaffed then hire more people ? A little politeness goes a long way (y)

Set up like most of your typical grocery stores. I find they have pretty good prices usually as well as lots of stock, I don't think I've ever ran into anything sold out. Sometimes their fruit and vegetables aren't the best however I would probably chalk that up to season. Love that they have a little deli area to get lunch, also their soups of the day are awesome. I really like all of their dream based soups. They have a section to get fresh cut meats as well which is nice especially if you're looking for a more specific cut than what's typically available. Also has a bakery where they make their own donuts, bread, buns, cakes and cupcakes. You can also order a cake and get one of their designs on it, or get them to write something on it. There is a Starbucks located inside if you like Starbucks.

Went there to get the 710ml Coke Zero advertised, buy 1 get one free. The ad said “Coke products”. I went to 2 stores and there was no Coke Zero 710 ml. On the displays or on the shelves. An employee told me that it was just the Coke classic!!! I wish they would honour the items on the flyer.

Their floral department is terrible! My brother and I ordered $100 worth of fresh cut flowers for my Mom's birthday and they were all cheap flowers. The arrangement was nice but my mom thought we might have spent 50! Totally disappointed! I won't be ordering again!

I was very apprehensive about going grocery shopping after my quarantine period was up, lost several nights sleep over having to go to a grocery store, no problem, never felt more safe in my life, very pleasant experience. This is the best grocery store where you can get everything from fresh vegetables & fruits, meat, fish, and lots more with reasonable prices. Its location attached to Victoria square mall is a plus point. Store timings are very convenient. Going to this store every weekend for grocery is my favorite timepass. All the staff working there is very helpful and customer service is great. Lots of parking spaces available even during busy hours.

I was incredibly unimpressed with the customer profiling that went on while I was shopping with family. Without going into great detail, a man (who obviously had some homing issues) was relentlessly followed and swarmed by the staff working. He was eventually railroaded right out of the store. I understand the need for surveillance however I was very shocked at the determined negative commentary and the swarming of staff to remove the man (who was not bothering anyone at the time). I think I will be taking my business elsewhere in future.

One cashier open, but not there... when we asked the 2 employees nearby if it was open she said yes with her back towards us, no effort to sense of urgency. Apparently, we interrupted their visit.and when we went to see if another cashier was open the lady in the self checkouts was turning them all off. So no where to pay! I worked for Safeway in the early 90s... this was not the service standards then, why now? Aweful!

I travel by Pari-transite bus and get dropped off at main entrance, very convient. Nice little Coffee- Starbucks , tables and chair to sit and watch people. The food court in mall does not a great variety and if your a larger person you wouldn't fit at tables chair aren't moveable.

Head of customer service Antoinette is very rude. I must have caught her on a bad day since they named her the Head of Customer service. I went down there to make a Western Union transferr and my experience was horrible. I filled out the information and when it was not to her standards she threw the form back at me. I took a deep breath and asked her what the problem was. She needed the City so I gave her the address. She looked it up and threw the form back at me again and yelled "NO, we don't have a western union there!" Amazed I was trying to ask her a question and she kept interupting me and snapping at me. My husband who was quite annoyed just grabbed my arm and said "let's go, she clearly doesn't want to help!" the woman just giggled. When I got home i went on Western Union's website and the information I gave her is all they needed to send it. I don't know what her problem was but she was quite rude!

I have never met a group of crusty people working under one roof. Almost every time I walk in the door I have someone giving me attitude for some reason or another. Whether it be getting YELLED at because I didn’t take a cart to get a coffee from Starbucks (I kid you not) or being told I have to take my receipt when I politely said I didn’t need my copy....one of the employees is bound to ruin your day with their poor manners & social skills. Do yourselves a favour and find another grocery store.

Here's the real truth - some decent workers -a lot of disaffected ones - We've gone back 3 times this year with broken/bad produce. Just today clerk packed the eggs under other produce - poorly wrapped watermelon slices leaked over the eggs and one egg was broken -same clerk who packed the items was there upon return of eggs -no apologies. We are now going to Cathedral Safeway -much friendlier and fresher produce!

Not used to going that particular location. Was close and needed some odds and ends. Ended up getting lost and turned around in each and every direction. But managed to find my stuff once I got my bearings. Nicely laid o8t with huge aisles for people and carts to get around.
